  1. Oh man, I miss Swordstrike. He's a great guy. There's nothing more satisfying than confusing your raid leader. ^^
  2. Happy birthday, BookwormOtaku. ^^
  3. New update? *Checks out website. No subscription now!? Holy shit, I'm picking this back up as soon as I finish Majikoi. Thanks for mentioning that. The other updates look really cool too. I'm glad they have a better spam system in place, those bots are relentless...
  4. Oh yeah, I need to get back into ESO myself. I was very interested in the plot, but I ended up having to cancel my subscription after my budget started tightening up a bit. I should be able to start it back up in May though. Amazing soundtrack, interesting plot, minimalistic interface, and very solid gameplay too.
  5. This map doesn't seem to be accepted that well, but I think it's pretty fun to play. I really want to FC this. ;_;
  6. You didn't like Ico? Well, I did get a little frustrated with some of the puzzles due to how hard they were to figure out, but I loved the atmosphere of the game. It's heart-warming in its own way and it has brilliant designs and direction. I had decided to hold off on beating it until I bought the remastered PS3 version (it kinda sucks on a PS2 emulator), but I enjoyed it.
  7. 8 days in so far, and I have still not lost interest in Crusaders Quest, which is actually kinda surprising. o.o I might begin to have some faith in f2p mobile gaming apps now. There's been numerous RPGs I've downloaded on this platform in the past, but the interfaces on all of them have been slop, the gameplay is usually too repetitive and boring, and they put so much effort to force you to buy stuff. CQ is almost a polar opposite. It uses a combat system that's ideal for the platform it's on, there's a variance on how you can structure your team for battle, and though this game still has a hefty incentive to buy stuff, it's not all that painful to play without paying. It's even possible to go the completist route without having to pay a dime. The developers also like to throw out freebies once in a while. They can get seriously generous with their freebies too. This game can get pretty challenging at times. The further in you go with questing, the more challenging it becomes and you will be required to grind levels for a bit in order to advance. Now it is fairly skill-based, so you can still advance further if you have a solid grasp on team composition and can make judgment calls on the fly. There's an element of randomness to the combat, but you can still make good use of your abilities if you use a little bit of logic and maintain attentiveness. And if any of you guys do decide to get into the game, my user name's Ahlor. I have a level 50 5-star character that can help you out on tough quests if you ever need it. The game places a 1-day cool-down though, so use wisely. This site is also pretty helpful to beginners. http://www.crusadersquestlog.com/Do keep in mind that you'll have to be a little patient with the game since it can get really buggy, but it's been steadily getting better since I first started. And I would strongly encourage you to sync your account with google+ or facebook to avoid potential account loss.
  8. I can see where you're coming from on that, and I frankly don't blame you since I tend to drop quite a few things as well. Though I would at least try her route for a little while since a character can easily make a turnaround. I don't know what it is about visual novels and why these types of shifts occur, but my impression of heroines very frequently changes between how I see them in the common route and how I see them in their character route. I have a couple notable examples from Hoshimemo. At first, I thought Asuho was a really fun and outgoing character and I went with her route first because she was my favorite in the common route. But after starting it, I found her character way more clingy than she needed to be and she ended up getting on my nerves (her character backstory wasn't that good either). And then there was Chinami, who I considered the worst girl in the common route, and though I only disliked her a little less after reading her route, I was touched by how well the drama played out in her route. There are also quite a few that say they've grown significantly more fond of Lucia during her route as compared to the common route. Though I guess it's up to you. Just make sure to look up a wiki for any information that might be relevant to another route.
  9. I swear, officer, this girl just randomly put herself in my bed! Oh god... ;_;
  10. Last chapter of Mochi Mochi Hime's out. I didn't care for the couple chapters before it since I wasn't expecting non-loli futas, but the yaoi shota couple in the last chapter was actually... not too bad? o.o Oh god, I never thought I'd like these, but it's not fair that one of the guys looks too much like a girl. You know what? Whatever~ http://exhentai.org/g/795948/ce0d27a52e/ Also, for anyone concerned about the toddler tag, they only show up in the 2nd chapter. They aren't actual toddlers either, just supernatural beings in toddler bodies (although I still skimmed the chapter). Most of the lolis are pretty young though, mainly 5-8 age range. Absolute best part, imo, was the loli mom. <3 Hentai artists need to give us more of those.
  11. As much as I love the entire holy trinity of KugiRie tsunderes, Louise is my least favorite of the three. I still consider her a wonderfully cute heroine, I just don't think she's as great as the other two. My favorite is Shana and my second favorite is Taiga. That being said, I actually liked Toradora more as a series than SnS despite my character preferences. I felt a little more impact with Toradora.
  12. This is a little bit hard to single tap, but at least I'm making progress with it. Shooting for 280 BPM single tapping so I can play Talent Shredder. Yeouch. This is why I usually wait for ranked.
  13. That's how it was for me with WoW. PvP probably would have been a lot better, but getting into serious raiding is practically making a commitment. Now I did have fun during the time I was in it, and I actually did really well at it too (it's the only game I've ever been awesome at), but it was consuming me. o.o Like I literally had to plan everything around my raid times and put in a lot of effort during off-time to make myself better. They say it's impossible to completely quit WoW, but it's been a good couple years since my last login and roughly four years since I've been actively involved in a raiding guild. Nice thing about anime and single-player games, you don't have to worry about schedules. ^^
  14. Alright, jumping on the MajiKoi bandwaggon here. Pretty fun game so far, I like how amusing the common route has been. Awesome bonus getting Sugita Tomokazu's voice in this! On that note, I went to vndb for verification and noticed that he went by a different alias for this game in addition to a few others. Anyone know the story behind that?
  15. Banishes individual to another dimension for showing Sacchi lewd content and procedes to have a pleasant evening with that wonderful maid. (I feel like breaking a few rules here. ^^)
  16. That can definitely be true. I remember how much I use to dislike certain maps that were too hard for me, but I eventually came to like them a lot more once I got better. Deep Sea was one of those maps that grew on me. Damn, that map is one of my endgame goals.
  17. In the last two weeks, I've picked up 3 anime, a couple manga, and made some progress on a manga I picked up a while ago. With the 5th new work I picked up, which was an anime, I finally actually completed something! Why is it so hard to find something I feel like watching or reading anymore? Anyways, Paranoia Agent turned out to be pretty incredible. It was very intriguing throughout the entirety of the series, but I had thought this would have been another one of those overly intricate works that would have never made any sense to me. Thankfully, everything starts to make sense by the last episode, and the revelations at that point were just so brilliant. And my god, completely unexpected development from the two central characters were absolutely phenomenal. But just the way everything ties together with the plot is amazing, and the show even manages to throw in a few tasteful reiterations of previous scenes to help you further appreciate the end. In addition to the incredibility of the plot, I also thought it had a fantastic focus on its central theme, and even delved a bit into other themes to reinforce it. And as for the execution of the psychological aspects in this anime, there is nothing I wouldn't call exhilarating. And while it's usually rare for any anime to surprise me even once, this show managed to do so twice. Overall, amazingly well done. I'd consider it perfect in some areas. 8/10 (Not a common score from me.)
  18. I don't think it's even realistically possible for average male's penis to be able to... oh god, now I'm thinking it too. ;_;
  19. Read harder, mate. I've gotten a 986 combo on a map like that. https://osu.ppy.sh/b/315115 Yeah, it's hard to play, but practice helps.
  20. I like Doomsday's view on mapping. As long as he can make sense of the map and it's timed correctly, he enjoys it. I tend to think the same way, except for most oldschool maps. Now while his new maps are much better in comparison, DJPop's oldschool maps are amongst the few that I enjoy. I don't think it should matter whether a mapping style isn't used in this day and age anymore, because even outdated styles can still be a lot of fun to play. I remember Ceris mentioning how Shinxyn uses a style that isn't popular anymore, and I could frankly care less because I love playing his maps. Imo, wcx19911123's beatmap for the Brynhildr OP was not bad at all. It's pretty challenging on all diffs and the song is nice. Try to take into account that the experience of mapping and playing maps is subjective. We all use a different playstyle, we can practice the game differently, and we react to certain mapping patterns differently. For example, even though it does come with a higher error rate, I've found that using 2000 DPI helps me keep better control of my mouse for certain mapping styles. It's not very hard to hit long streams using Peachick's keyclick style, but it's hard to keep accuracy and even more difficult to play spread streams. My experience with stream maps may differ from others because I don't practice streaming as much as I should. I tend to focus more on fast single tap and aim maps. From what I've heard from those that have used tablets, it's easier to move at a faster rate while maintaining precision, but requires more time into playstyle mastery in order to keep control (WWW and rrtyui seem to excel in this regard). With that lack of control, it's easier to nitpick maps for doing unusual things that can possibly break your control. The same logic can also apply to mouse players that use lower DPI. And that's another thing I noticed with Doomsday, because he plays mouse at a high level with 1650 DPI, he's able to achieve things on complicated beatmaps that most tablet users would not be able to. With all that in mind, it's damn near impossible to make a map that everyone will agree with, but as long as there's at least one honest and positive opinion on the map, I would not consider it a shitmap at all. There's no need to make objective claims on mapping when they're meant to be enjoyed subjectively.
  21. This song is so nice~. Finally passed the map too. Obsolete score: Edit: Okay, and not long after posting that, I almost doubled my combo. Really nice map. ^^
  22. So I thought I'd look up a phone app game to play while I was on the road, and decided to just kinda wing it with the most popular games list. Actually not a bad move at all as I surprisingly came across something pretty fun. Crusaders Quest isn't really something I'd call a good game, but it's the best I've seen for f2p smart phone RPGs, lol. The simplistic gaming interface makes it a lot better than hack and slash games because they never freakin work out on a phone (I don't know why app developers never get them right). So far, I really love it. The designs are anime-like since it was developed by an Asian group (not sure if Korean or Japanese). The translation is surprisingly decent too. Usually foreign game apps are riddled with bad English, but not this one.
  23. I'm surprised you guys can use the 3D feature. For me, it hurts my eyes too much. >.< I probably do need to update my glasses though... It's been a few years. And if you don't mind going with something really big, there is also the 3DS XL. Well, it's also more expensive. ._.
