  1. How to avoid overstreaming. >.< Oh well, at least I was able to pass this.
  2. Well, to say I was surprised with Gatchaman Crowds would be a complete understatement. I wouldn't call it deep, but it was thought-provoking on the subject of mankind's fallacies. But what got me the most was its optimistic approach with the concept and the ideals it tackled. So much so that I feel like I should try to tackle life a little more optimistically as well and not let myself get too weighed down by my faults. And as for my enjoyment of the series, I really enjoyed the weird way this series was presented. It felt like I was watching a Shaft anime, but better. The animation was abstract, the OSTs were fun, the dialogue was interesting, and I really got attached to the characters. Especially with Hajime who is amongst the most exuberant characters I've seen in anime. Gatchaman Crowds is a very intelligent anime, but the plot isn't as convoluted as others of its kind and it's not nearly as difficult to understand the story it's trying to tell.
  3. I wouldn't be nervous about buying from Mangagamer. The process of downloading from their site is fairly easy and simple. All you need to do is have an account set up and follow through the steps when you purchase the game. If you ever run into some kind of mishap when downloading or installing your VN, get in touch with customer support. They are very friendly and helpful. If I'm not mistaken, there should always be a download option for any of the VNs they sell.
  4. Hey guys, I'm back. :D

  5. I've bought a hard copy limited edition of S;G from JAST, and digital copies of Shuffle and Kira Kira from MG. Even though my current budget won't be enough to keep me from downloading VNs for free, I'll still buy them when I can; it feels a little nicer when you read a VN that you've paid for. Importing is almost out of the question though, but I will try to pay for games I really liked (I'll buy Little Busters one day). I will buy both digital and physical, but I prefer physical copies (I went digital for Shuffle because the moe day sale didn't extend to hard copies). The next VNs I plan to buy are Eden*, Clannad, Higurashi, and Umineko. I'll buy Umineko 1st since it's the least likely to get a hard copy in the future (MG doesn't have it completely licensed, but they are able to to sell a download on their site). Eden* will likely sell well enough to get hard copies in the future, Clannad might if SP ever puts up a means to buy them, and Higurashi could get more popular through Steam.
  6. Has anyone seen this skin yet? Just glorious. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dVh6Du8vVHQ
  7. OWC is streaming now. Damn it, Poland's team lost. I wanted to root for WWW, and he was pretty damn good the entire time, but everyone else kinda blew it. >.< Japan is OP as heck with rrtyui on there (his SS pulled a close win on one). Currently watching USA. SapphireGhost hype! http://www.twitch.tv/osulive
  8. I finally passed this. ;_; Oh man, this is one of the hardest AR8 maps I've ever done. Save for the easy and the harder insane, every diff in this set is good practice for me. The normal is really difficult with DTHR, the hard is difficult with HR, and Shiro's insane is good nomod. https://osu.ppy.sh/b/387428
  9. I don't think I can do AR6 at all anymore, lol. Even AR7 is starting to feel too slow to me. But I can definitely HR this.
  10. I've gotten on a few scoreboards using DTHDHR. If you're SS'ing it, or if the map is just really hard to do with those mods, then you'll notice your rank climb fairly early. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that I beat your DT score on Satellites with nomod. ^^
  11. Players that have been around for a few years usually won't get too excited over most maps, but there are some maps can still turn out to be a mind game when you're going for high combos. I know cptnXn had a similar reaction when he was doing FD. Doomsday was probably just surprised as hell when he realized how well he was doing. Note his reaction when he started jumping up the leaderboard. Personally, whenever I see my score making it in the leaderboard at the end of a map, I tend to get a little shaky. It'd be a million times worse if I was climbing ranks when most of those scores aren't anywhere close to FC.
  12. It's okay, you're not off the mark. Yeah, you move your mouse around and click circles according to the beat of the song you're playing. There are approach circles there as an alternative to using the beat, but I prefer timing my hits to the music just because it feels easier to me. A lot of fun anime and VN songs to try in the game too. I hope you like it. And you can add me as a friend too if you like. ^^ I've been playing for a decent amount of time and have a somewhat okay-ish rank. https://osu.ppy.sh/u/4313410
  13. You know, after crossing your statement over what's been said in the forum, I think you make a really valid point. The main concern with using alternate is that it, despite it potency, puts you in too much of a comfort zone to progress any further. But switching between that and singletap would overcome those barriers all while maintaining proficiency in the more potent style. Eh, it does for me. I did use it when I need to adjust to either form of doubletapping (for both keyclick or 2-key), but I never used it after that. There's a chance I may get more comfortable with it through practice though. I can definitely see it being viable for space streams since you'd be more accustomed to using both fingers with more spacing. I think I'll try working on both now. Thanks for the suggestion. Also, Doomsday rekt. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UxNXRCgeEWI
  14. If you want to give rhythm games a shot, try Osu. It's free to play and really fun. It's become one of my biggest obsessions as of late. https://osu.ppy.sh/ There's also a central Osu thread here on Fuwa. https://forums.fuwanovel.net/index.php?/topic/656-fuwanovel-osu-thread/
  15. It seems the website was going through some issues with a DDoS attack. That may or may not have interfered with your account registration. Try doing it again with the same email you used last time.
  16. I haven't heard of Babymetal until now. Watched one of the videos on youtube, and they seem to have an interesting variant on pop.
  17. Well, that's the thing. When you're working on easier maps, it's hard to tell what kind of playstyle you'll need for harder ones. I'm not sure about the others, but I know cptnXn has experimented with higher DPI for speed jumps and occasionally makes a switch between tablet and mouse. This isn't the first time I've changed my playstyle either, and it worked out for me after a while. As long as you put in the effort to incorporate those changes into your muscle memory, it shouldn't hinder your progression in the game. I can see that being a possibility, but I really prefer singletap over alternating. It definitely has potential for fast singletap maps, but the confusion it adds could be a hindrance for consistency on the more complex maps. That and I've been working on my singletap a lot lately (DT helps), and I'm getting fairly faster at it. Here's a thread with a little more insight in that area. https://osu.ppy.sh/forum/t/142228 I'm getting somewhat better at slider breaking too. I think that's more of a habit quirk than a playstyle one, you just have to be really attentive towards it. I eventually succumbed to that habit sometime down the road, but I've been slider breaking a lot less lately after I realized the problem. Oh yeah, guess I won't be needing that anymore, lol. Actually, accidently clicking the mouse during faster singletaps use to kill me on those kinds of maps. ;_;
  18. Okay, so I had the misfortune of getting blocked off on Exhentai as well. I was reading through the forum for the addon, and apparently this is a problem for several others. http://haruhichan.com/forum/showthread.php?24909-Firefox-ExHentai-Easy-v2-Get-past-sad-panda!&p=38270&viewfull=1#post38270 Guess I'll have to actually play the damn game now and get my level up. >.< Edit: I tried playing, and it seems my account is temporarily suspended for 1000 years. Guess I'll have to get in touch with someone on the forum.
  19. I decided to give a new playstyle a try, and so far it's working out for me. Instead of using the left side of my keyboard, I decided to move over to the right and use 3 on the number pad. Bringing my hands in closer together makes it fairly easier to play. And after thinking it over some, I thought that maybe angling my keyboard a little more help me 2-key a little better. Compared to the last time I tried, I was able to adjust to 2-key a lot more easily using this method and I'm currently using 3 and 6 on the number pad for streams. Although I'm having a harder time on longer streams with using this method over keyclick, I'm hitting shorter ones with far better accuracy. Guess I'll just have to practice the traditional way until I can do longer streams, lol.
  20. I use to have this for my desktop. Kohakuren is exquisite.
  21. Oh man, I've been away from Fuwa too long haha. Happy birthday, Flutterz! Have a UBW:
  22. Fun fact: Rin's VA voiced Riki. ^^
