I made another one of my goals with passing Saten's Wahrheit last night. It's one of the 1st goals I set for myself in this game, so I'm extremely happy to see it go through. ^^ But damn, where the hell did my aim come from on that? (Still playing mouse). My next goal will be to FC Zetsubou on insane. I like how Saten's maps always drive me to do better. I can handle the jumps just fine (the slider jumps are so much fun), but the single taps are what's killing me. I'll be spending most of my practice on 220-260 BPM maps to overcome that. I can just barely keep up with 260, lol.

Little bit of a waste of time, but I really wanted to get leaderboard on this. It's my favorite song from Yousei Teikoku, so I'm really glad I made it in there. ^^ I still can't spin for shit, so getting rank was fairly challenging. And grats, Shizu!

Damn, I guess it'll be a while before I can multi with ya. D: But that's okay, wouldn't wanna bore you to death with 4.5-star maps, lol. Got the luckiest 65 PP run ever. It almost felt like my hands were possessed, lol. I somehow got this on my 2nd try.

Don't worry about getting ranked on easy diffs then. Only thing it shows is that you know how to memorize a map and spin really fast. Man, I'd be able to pass this map if I was in better shape. Hitting fast single taps at the end of a 4 minute run is brutal. ;_;

I'm surprised your acc is so low despite your combo, but nice play I guess. XD I'd try going for combo on that, but there's still a good number of areas that are too challenging for me to hold it. Yeah, FL's pretty annoying. Feels like a cheap gimmick to get into leaderboards at higher stages. Really big waste of time too unless you enjoy using that mod.

Yeah, Osu is about as hard as any other rhythm game I've played. My 1st was DDR, and it took me like 2 months to progress past the easy diffs. XD These kinds of games are quite a bit more skill-based than others due to the reflexes needed to play them, so they're generally the hardest for many to play. But stick with it for a while, they're a blast once you find your groove! I definitely would want to give it a try, but I don't know if I'd regularly use Leap Motion for playing Osu. I can see it having potential for some people, but probably not for me. My arm would likely tire out from holding my hand up too long, lol.

I kinda somewhat don't. Like, I usually won't play for the sake of getting it, but it's disheartening to see it go down. D: Plus, I don't mind waiting for it to get ranked. There's a lot of maps that get ranked daily. Tablet doesn't necessarily guarantee success, it's just that it can give better results in a shorter timespan. Thankfully I had experience with other rhythm games beforehand, so it was easy for me to start off on Osu, but I use to be horrible at games like DDR until after a while. Perhaps your setup isn't the most comfortable for you to play, try to adjust your settings to see if something clicks better for you. You can adjust your tablet to use a smaller area, change the keys you tap with on your keyboard, and the lower resolution of the game client. There's quite a few options you can mess with to see if it makes a difference in your play. And if you're using the standard skin that comes with the game, try switching it out with something else (the standard skin is really distracting for me). I know Zealty likes using the Soda skin, which I think is pretty comfortable to use and pretty cute. :3 I prefer using rrtyui's skin though.

I prefer to play maps when they're ranked rather than qualified. I'd hate to lose any pp if something got taken down. The grouping is entirely coincidental, lol.

Really? I enjoyed the heck out of it. I had one Omega Rhythm unranked mapset that I tried, but wasn't good enough to play. Hearing the song in a slower version was a little bit to adjust to, but I started liking it more than the sped-up one. Plus, that is how the song was originally, so the altered version is probably unrankable unless it was done commercially. And there aren't that many chances to play AR9 with HR, so I enjoyed that bit. The normal was hard to keep accuracy and the hard was difficult to hold a combo with HD. I like it when a map is actually harder to play with HD (maps can be so simple that the mod doesn't make a difference at all).

This beatmap is glorious. <3 Very fun to play and really good PP throughout the set.

I gave the map a try and I think FC'ing this is a pretty good achievement considering the numerous jumps throughout. I can manage to pass it with 87%, lol. The song is really nice and the map is fairly challenging and enjoyable.

Yeah, those maps were too hard even for himself. I wanted to try open multi to change things up a bit, but I think I'll keep it closed from now on. That guy was either a troll or a masochist with the maps he was pulling up. >.< And it's not a problem. I thought I might be able to get you more into it with funner maps, but I guess it's still really hard to get use to. And I know how you feel, my movement speed is holding me back pretty harshly right now. I can play complex maps better than many, but I just can't move that fast. D: I am getting better at it, but my progress is really slow. But that's fine, I do think it's bad in the long run to improve too fast, so I'm okay with improving slowly. Though it is a little discouraging to see my rank go down 2500. ;_;

Didn't go through all the maps I wanted to in multi, so I'll just link em here. Advanced AR8 is a little bit of an acquired taste, but I really enjoy playing it. Might take a bit to get use to since you play really fast maps, but I still think you can do it!

Wanna multi in a little while? I can help you get better at AR8. I got a fairly hellish set put together not too long ago too. ^^

One theory with players that alternate is that they get too comfortable playing the game and it hinders their improvement. But it does have higher potential in performance than single-tapping. I'd say it's better to stick with what you're doing and just keep at it. Most of the top players do single-tap, but there are still some that alternate.
