Romanesque is at least part visual novel, even if it's not the main focus. There's more VN content in it than, say, a modern persona game. Enough to justify a thread here.

At this point I don't think Koestl will ever release another fan patch. Why do something for free when you can get paid to do it? He's good enough to continue doing nothing but official work from here on.

Reynad, a streamer and competitive player has been streaming his demon deck quite a bit and that has Mal'Ganis in it. It's obviously a key part of that deck but even with all of the me-toos out there copying the deck, I think zoo and handlock are more common on the ladder and MG isn't played in those. I don't think he's ubiquitous or anything, and not nearly the best legendary in the game.

Yumiko has the most boring personality (it never grew on me), the dullest backstory, and yeah, her route's storyline is really similar to Makina's, only not as good. There are certain people who fall for her deredere mode, but she only ended up getting on my nerves. All of the girls are too dependent and submissive, but she was the worst. If you read her route first, it's probably not as bad because you haven't seen Makina's yet.

Almost all groups edit after TLC, with the idea that the person most fluent in English should have the final say on what the English text says. Anyways, it seems pretty likely that besides assumptions made to the contrary, this is actually primarily sourced from machine translation and that it's beyond salvaging.

The translator's english is terrible and his Japanese isn't much better. At this point it would almost be a retranslation, not TLC, wouldn't it? Its worse than Konosora and ask Pablo how much fun he had "TLCing" that one.

Anyways, JAST is so insistent that there will be a fan patch to restore all cut content that you have to believe that it will be a *wink* "fan" patch made anonymously by the JAST staff members themselves.

Bolvar is good in a very specific deck, the muster for battle/quartermaster deck. Outside of that, he doesn't really have a place, and even in that one deck he's only an alternate win condition that often gets silenced or removed immediately. He's definitely worth having for that quartermaster deck, though. I think Mal'ganis is overrated. He's good, but at nine mana it's a very slow play and he's easy to remove. I've been having fun with an aggro mage deck with a really low curve and jeeves. Unstable portal is also a lot of fun.

I honestly do not think that this is better than no translation at all. If people want this level of quality, they can just use atlas.

Muv-Luv Extra won't get better until the very end. I think they actually do a decent job when they attempt to be dramatic but boy oh boy, is Age's comedic writing ever terrible.

After putting it off for a very long time, I decided I better finish Comyu before I start any new VNs. I finally started Kagome's route today after rereading the common route (it's been over eight months!). Seems like there are elements from all of the other routes incorporated into this one? You don't often see that even for true routes.

The "third party" is just going to be a puppet company set up by Sekai Project. Front Wing wants them to release the 18+ version completely separately with no indication that the two are even linked. Makes me wonder how they'll pull off coupons/vouchers if that's the case. Hopefully it's not another thing they're promising without being 100% sure about it.
