  1. I really enjoy some things that Clephas hates (Steins;Gate), so maybe I'll enjoy Pygmalion.
  2. And he may also not want to talk to dovac about it. There is virtually no way dovac doesn't already know about the project, and it's still alive. Don't shake the hornet's nest.
  3. I haven't gotten in contact with any of the actual Tenshin Ranman fan project members, but from what I hear from someone who knows those folk well, it seems that the fan project indeed is an entirely separate effort. The comically unfortunate part of that is that just two weeks ago they announced that the project has actually been revived, they recruited two new actual translators not using machine translation (I guess their old efforts were machine assisted, the screenshots I saw looked real bad), and that they had three routes done. And now this. lol, talk about bad timing.
  4. Frontwing seems difficult to work with.
  5. I can't pull an exact quote from memory, he was being kind of cagey and indirect about it so it was said in a convoluted way. He said something like look at the way Sunrider, Nekopara, and Grisaia are handled with regards to 18+ releases and expect the same treatment for all of their games. Keep 'em.
  6. I want to make sure of something. Are you sure you didn't mishear something about Grisaia unrated? They announced Magical Girl Chiru Chiru is releasing next week, which you should probably add to the OP, but I didn't hear them say anything about Grisaia unrated. Perhaps you mixed the two up.
  7. The game was not made like that. MangaGamer's version of Princess Evangile is running on another engine made from scratch by MangaGamer, and supports english system locale.
  8. Pretty much. Maybe they'd have to slightly alter some portions of some scenes but it's probably not expensive to produce all-ages versions. If TR does well, I can see Yuzusoft wanting more steam bucks, and spending a week or two for each of their other games on producing all-ages versions would probably be worth it for them.
  9. Do they -really- have to remove the leadup and leadout scenes?
  10. ~Drama in the Chiruverse~ So I said Koestl seemed salty, I loaded up Herkz' twitter and he's especially salty. He basically announced that they will be releasing an unauthorized translation of Chiru Chiru after the main trilogy is finished, and warned people that they shouldn't read Chiru Chiru before then because it makes references to the other two games. Herkz being the editor who is working on the main trilogy for SP. I'm sure they're happy about that.
  11. It's not about whether they need the money or not, it's whether they figure the extra money is worth making censored versions for. Tenshin Ranman may be a test case for them since the work is already done.
  12. My internet went down halfway through so I'm shaky on all the details. Sekai Project's twitter is probably a good summary: https://twitter.com/sekaiproject/with_replies I can't pretend to know all the nuance behind their actions, but Frontwing did demand the initial separation between the companies when handling the different releases. They wanted Grisaia to be taken seriously and not be released by a company with the stigma of porn behind them. There could be other partners who want that division to exist, too. Why?
  13. Koestl tweeted that indeed he wasn't involved in Chiru Chiru's translation so expect it to get eviscerated on 4chan and elsewhere regardless of its quality. And it explains why it's already coming out. They probably decided to go with that guy who posted about his project here after all. Koestl seems slightly salty.
  14. It is almost entirely because of Frontwing.
  15. Sekai Project just now heavily hinted during their QA session that they plan on releasing unrated versions via denpasoft for all applicable titles. You may be right to be a little cynical still, if they plan on doing more delayed releases.
  16. They will probably release them via Denpasoft, why wouldn't they? I would say the chances are slim. They were making barely any progress.
  17. Yuzusoft makes very light-hearted moege. It won't be nakige.
  18. Also Magical Girl Chiru Chiru is actually releasing next week.
  19. Welp, Sekai Project landed Yuzusoft. Release date is "soon" according to SP's twitter.
  20. Apparently Magical Girl Chiru Chiru is already in QA and they're going to release it before the trilogy is finished. I wonder if they went with that translator who posted here after all.
  21. edit: The liveblogger linked in the OP is covering the Funimation panel and not the Sekai Project panel. SP has not hyped any major announcements for their panel. Maybe they'll have some random doujin title to announce but that's probably it. They will talk in more detail about their AX announcements, though, which may be interesting. We might get a release date for G-Senjou no Maou and details about their further Akabei Soft plans. oh... this wasn't an edit but a new post... how did I screw that up? lol real edit: Oh, well, I guess not. They seriously said there would be more details at Otakon then they proceeded to give no new details. Hurray.
  22. I'm reading Air right now, actually. I'm past the last choice in the Air route, I have a feeling some weird shit is about to happen. So far I'd give Misuzu route a 6, maybe, which would make Kano a 5 and Minagi a 4. I agree with the overall rankings but I tend not to be so generous with the scoring. Summer was maybe a 7.5 or 8.
  23. Kindred Spirits is 18+
  24. Irotoridori no Sekai fandisc.
