(berserk the manga) True, I don't like nor want to be mean. Next person wants to be loved
-
don't know about persona 1 I've never played it but there are 2 persona 2(the story is divided in two parts), innocent sin and eternal punishment, play innocent sin on the psp the "remake" version, because it's better. The second part it's only in japanese so if you can't read it play the ps1 version after beating innocent sin.

Playing rewrite, so far I really like the protagonist and the characters overall, the gps map thing looks fun.

Period - thoughts on how sad this visual novel jumps in?
Deep Blue replied to Hackrabbits's topic in Visual Novel Talk
So far the tags on the vns I've played so far are very accurate, there are a few exceptions on how the rate system works. For example when you search a kinetic vn and it says 1.3, 3.0, etc the truth is it doesn't matter because there you can't have something more kinetic it doesn't make sense, same with linear plot, but leaving that aside you can trust the tags I can't talk about this novel in particular and bear in mind that most of the time the nakige or even utsuge tags are hidden because they will spoil the plot for you. -
False, got one recently. Next person loves nakige vns.

Keep up the good work , it seems that in this world some people enjoy to bring down others just to make themselfs feel better or superior. Just keep it up and if by any chance(I'm sure it won't) the project fails you try again.- 44 replies

Deep Blue replied to MoonStar's topic in Original Projects
Sorry, maybe that sounded like a complain or something but it's not, so far it looks really cool and I understand why it's a little rough right now. About the text speed it's already maxed out (it's maxed out by default) but still it's really slow for my taste then again this is just me but it would be cool to being able to change it and speed it up a little more. The screens/scenes transitions they need something, I don't know how to explain it but in many novels when one scene is over and a new one appears there is something in between them or the slowly disappears and the new one appears, here they just do it in a second and looks kinda weird, sorry I can't explain it better. It seems that clicking on the "voice sustain" fixes the voices problem.- 44 replies

Gonna back this when it's ready looks really nice and with english voices, can't wait. EDIT: I played the demo, here are my thoughts: It's a little "rough" right now, some of the voices are cut in the middle. The backgrounds could use a little more work (like in the first scene, that coke bottle looks really bad) companion cube <3 . The text moves really really slow. Scenes transitions are kinda weird, they are shown just for exposition or not, you can't really tell if something is going to happen or if you need to click the mouse.- 44 replies

GoG and CD Projekt This is not the first time they do something like this so I'm not surprise, they are constantly fighting this kind of dick moves from the game industry, such as drm, dlc and they are always trying to include as many thing as possible with their releases such as free soundtrack, artbook, wallpapers, free huge updates (like the witcher 2 had a while ago) etc

Legal stuff when it comes to visual novels
Deep Blue replied to InvertMouse's topic in Visual Novel Talk
Logic dictates that if they show it as it is then it's because they can do it without having legal problems, when they can't they don't (many words or trademarks are changed on steins;gate while many others are not, I'm sure their legal team are aware of what can and cannot show without running into troubles. I'm sure that if a vn doesn't show a brand or something like that even if when they are allow to do so it's because they are scared of having some kind of legal issue later on, so it's better to be safe than sorry for a small team. BTW everything depends on the country's law, for example here in my country you can film things without running into any problems even if it's used for commercial purposes but I know that in many other countries the thing is different, in some states of USA you need to paid the state to do so. -

watching steins;gate, so far it looks good i'm not expecting anything like the visual novel but so far it's not grisaia or clannad that's for sure and that's a good thing.

You should learn japanese, it will take you 2 years? prob less time tha it will take anyone to translate this vn IF they ever translate it in the first place which i highly doubt and then you got baldr 2 to read(in jap too)...best thing is to not depend on anyone to do the things you like and enjoy, yes it will take you a lot of time and effort but nothing is free in this world, sadly

What are you listening to right now?

Steins;gate certently doesn't have what you can call "normal" art style but it's not bad by any chance, in fact it's amazing and a lot of details are poured into their drawings and scenes in general, it's different. that's all and i like that. Yes, it is good to read a novel once in a while that has what you can call "normal" art style with cute characters like the ones you found in most anime (katawa shoujo, grisaia, etc) but like i said before, plot should be the most important aspect of a vn then comes the music(a nice writing plus good music = perfect visual novel like narcissu) and finally the art style in general, or at least that's how it is for me.
-
I truly like any artstyle, after a while i just get used to it and becomes natural even when it's really weird looking like steins;gate, clannad for example was really weird at first but at the end of the novel I ended up loving it. The thing is even if the art style is bad if the plot is good it doesnt matter.
