MangaGamer announces three new titles
littleshogun replied to ChaosRaven's topic in Visual Novel Talk
Well yes I really look forward to Kimihane license instead of Sengoku Koihime or Shin Koihime Musou, and yes I definitely didn't exaggerated it at all. Seriously their licenses are quite underwhelming to me, although if you tell me that Mangagamer need some money so that they decided to license nukige in order to get some income then I guess I shoudn't comment on their new licenses much. That said, at least Kimihane here looks like good GL VN so I look forward into it a bit. No much to say in regard of Funbag Fantasy 3if other than good that we got the improved version, and that it's good that Waffle still work together with Mangagamer after they ask ShiraVN to localized Eden's Ritter. At least the story of Funbag is well known for being good even though it's a nukige. As for Overclock VN, no comment other than I didn't find the art of the VN is very appealing, then again different people have different taste. Lastly I can only say that I look forward to the time when Mangagamer reveal their sixth secret project, although when they'll reveal it I don't know. Speaking about secret project, somehow I got the feeling that Nekonyan will reveal two of their secret projects at December or next year January later. -
Nitro+ Translation Projects?
littleshogun replied to Fresh AF (not really)'s topic in Visual Novel Talk
I did hear that apparently they have severe lack of employee for the VN localization, so I guess it's understandable if they need some more time to organize their projects (Which to say quite a lot and not to mention it's the accumulation of their past announcements). Also if JAST decided to change the tactic to announce the license that was almost ready for the release, then I should say that it's the good change in that at least there should be less uncertainty when it come to JAST VNs. If anything else, at least JAST still willing to being active in VN localization industry and willing to improve, unlike Sol Press who easily give up after several releases and not to mention that they chose the old VNs that are basically less known (Sakusakura and Yotsunoha) as their first releases. PS - I still would say that Kikokugai is a redundant though if JAST manage to release it, because we already have the remake of it released as well and doubly so if JAST decided to release the old version. -
Welcome to Fuwanovel and sorry for the belated greeting. As for the recommendations, I guess I can try to recommend AI Somnium along with Planetarian and Remember11 (Note that all of those VNs didn't have romance). Regardless on your taste, I hope that you'll have fun here.

I admit that October is quite an active month, so let me try to comment here. Too bad that Iwaihime is quite underrated because I believe that it have some potential. Although perhaps people expect too much after seeing Ryukishi07 name as the writer and that they forgot that Ryukishi here is only the writer while all of When They Cry series have him as the director as well so that Ryukishi here didn't have much control in the setting and plot in Iwaihime, and therefore they can only think Iwaihime as inferior. That said, I see that Shira VN can release many interesting VNs in span of a year so I look forward on what they can do in the future. Oh, and some of Iwaihime plot point here did resemble Higurashi and Umineko to a degree. Robotic Notes DaSH made Mages (The company) looks desperate so much that they add a main character from their more well known VN (Hashida Itaru aka Daru of Steins Gate) into Robotic Notes, or perhaps Mages didn't really confident that Robotic Notes here can stand alone so much that they allowed the main character from their well known title as one of the MC (Or to be blunt shoehorn Daru to become of of the MC) just for the sake of the promotion. In any case, you can just treat DaSH as the fandisc because the writer's CV said so (The main writer of DaSH is experienced in writing fanservice filled so-called sequel Chu Chu series that were more akin to fandisc), and of course treat the Robotic Notes as the main game. While I know that it have some good moments, the addition of Daru did plummet my impression on DaSH a lot. Oh and while the main game also have another character from Steins Gate, Tennouji Nae, at least she's just side character in there so no much change unlike Daru who became one of DaSH MC (To be fair DaSH here is stands for 'Daru Super Hacker', although it shown on how desperate Mages was). Also good job on releasing Elite version of the main game, because I hear that it's the best version of Robotic Notes. For the rest of my comments, I'll just round it up below. That Misaki's picture from Aokana EXTRA2 reveal looks good, and I hope that sprite can really deliver their promise to develop EXTRA2 later. I'm not quite look forward to Kiminozo because I found that it need a bit of contrivance to allow the main conflict to happen even with the fact that the seed is already there, and that the possibility of WA2 will have full translation patch at next year sort of drown the hype of Kiminozo to me. That said, good job for age to finally ready to release their past Magnum Opus that didn't related to robot and scary alien. Good luck on Akagoei translation team I suppose, and hopefully we can have the trilogy fully translated if only for Kinugasa's fans who've been waiting for this. Mangagamer's announcements did have a lot of passion, and to me Sakuramori is more interesting than those three announcements. I sort of look forward to Wanting Wings that'll be released at 19th later, because apparently it got some good writing. Some of SaDistic BlooD scenes are indeed quite disturbing, and not to mention that the graphic is very good which mean the artist can really draw the disturbing scenes very well. Apparently Wanko of Marriage have some problematic translation, although I didn't find the VN is interesting so whatever. Curse of Kudan has good graphic, and with this we have almost all of Sukera VNs being translated after Oshirabu and Amrilato (Curse of Kudan here is also GL VNs just like those two). In case you like Flowers tetralogy or Nana's route from Yumeutsutsu you may find Curse of Kudan interesting because it's been written by same person. I guess that's all for what I can comment for October news and sorry if I'm a little frank there. Also my condolence to Salamandra_88 who turned out to be the death victim of current pandemic.

Nitro+ Translation Projects?
littleshogun replied to Fresh AF (not really)'s topic in Visual Novel Talk
There are surely many other Nitroplus VNs that was translated, and of course it's not just Steins Gate or Saya no Uta. Anyway other than numerous examples that Silvz mentioned there's also Chaos Head in that it's been fully translated and therefore it's available in English, although it's still not officially localized though because back then the team want to bring it to JAST only to be failed. About Kikokugai, remake version have some well-known VA voicing the characters with the exchange that the sex scenes are censored, although after I saw the CGs there's no much censoring other than the obvious one (You know what I mean). I talk about Kikokugai remake because it's also available in English as well, although the font is hard to read though because it's small. Lastly there's also SoniComi in that it tell the story about Nitroplus's mascot, although of course you shouldn't expect dark story from the VN itself. PS - I'd just find out that Robotic Notes are also produced by Nitroplus as well along with it was just recently released, so it count to a degree. There's also Chaos Child in that it's share same universe as Chaos Head and Steins Gate, although it's not produced by Nitroplus though. -
Visual Novel Translation Status (11/08/2020) Welcome to this week VNTS Review and sorry for being late. As for the title, because we have Aokana FD (EXTRA1) released once again I did make a parody of Kaleido Star anime by changing 'Star' into 'Sky' just like my past VNTS Review, and I add 'OVA 1' as the subtitle in order to synchronized it with EXTRA1. For more elaboration, Aokana here did have a fictional sports called Flying Circus along with having sky as it's motif and Kaleido Star anime here focused on circus, while as for OVA here it's more or less the episodes that weren't broadcasted on TV so usually the animator would be more daring to draw the contents (Or in VN equivalent it's more or less like usual fandiscs). By the way Kaleido Star here also have OVA. As for this week, it's less active compared to the last week so to me the week is more or less quite an average one. That said it's still have some moments though such as EXTRA1 release and JAST finally open the Steam store for Majikoi, so it's still an interesting week to a degree. Let's see what I can write for this week as well. After several months of waiting, we finally have JAST opened the Steam store page for Majikoi and more importantly they set the release estimation as Winter. What I can say is that while it surely would be good for Steam user in that they finally can enjoy Majikoi, to me it's obviously a redundant release because we already have this being translated since 2015. What's more JAST apparently cut some voices so of course it would be another incomplete release seeing that the fan translated version didn't have such problem, although to be fair JAST did state that they have problem with the licensing cost for some VAs so it's not fully their fault here. In any case, let's see on whether they can release Majikoi at this year or not although with them opened the Steam store for this I guess the release date are indeed very close. Steam list that they'll release Episode 3 for Jiangshi x Taoshi at 21st later, or for some countries at 20th. For the reminder, Jiangshi x Taoshi is the late Conjueror's translation work and have a premise about a priestess work together with a former assassin to repel some man-eating creatures and it have Chinese setting. I don't know though if Episode 3 here would be the finale for it or not, so let's see it later. In case you like otome VN, be glad because Aksys did moved up one of their otome VN release from 13th to 5th and the VN in question is Cafe Enchante. The premise is like the female MC did work in a cafe that was left by her late grandfather, and that her cafe always got some visit from other worldly customers. In case you only own PC, too bad that you won't be able to play it because Aksys only release it for Switch although we may have PC version of it in the future. Go get Cafe Enchante if you own Switch and like otome VN, and have fun. I decided to cover for Akagoei translation progress, and for the progress currently they already do the QA for the prologue and that both of common and Reika's route being in translation work so at least I can say that the work are going smoothly. For the rest of fan translation updates, we have 17,580 lines of Pure x Connect are translated, Loverable was at 92.27% edited, Nursery Rhyme was at halfway re-edited, Reflection Blue was at 76.94% edited with all routes except Shiki's are translated (Shiki's route was at 18.58% edited), Harugi was at 70% translated with Yuuna's route was past halfway (53%) translated along with some increase at Sumika's route with the current progress was at 10% translated, and Eustia was at 57.42% TLC-ed with Licia's chapter was past a quarter (28.94%) TLC-ed. That's all for this week fan translation updates. As for Aokana EXTRA1, its Aokana's FD with the focus on Mashiro. As for why sprite chose Mashiro instead of Misaki to have the FD, turned out that it's indeed that when sprite did make a poll to determined which heroine that should have the FD Mashiro's come first following with Misaki, although of course people taste can changed in that the newer poll determined that Misaki come first. Speaking about taste, I guess both of Japanese and overseas people did share same taste in that they like Misaki first, then followed with Mashiro, Asuka, and finally Rika. Of course back before bankrupt sprite already have plan to make Misaki's FD (EXTRA2), only to be stopped by lack of money after they invested it so much into their failed mobile game. Now that they revived, sprite already reveal a visual and the opening song for EXTRA2. Anyway as for EXTRA1 itself there's no much to talk except that both Masaya and Mashiro are being confused on how they should satisfy their partner, in that Masaya wonder on how he should arrange his next date and that Mashiro wonder on what should she do so that she can become Masaya's best partner. Go get EXTRA1 if you want to see more Mashiro from one of many stores (JAST, Denpasoft, Steam, Nekonyan), and have fun. That's all for this week VNTS Review, and see you next week.

I see. Well I guess in the end it's more sensible to wait for Dracu Riot in Steam seeing that the price for it at DMM shop is indeed quite expensive compared to Steam (At 7,000 yen or 67 dollars as of now). For Hello Lady, well it's up to Akatsuki Works seeing that the current progress for it is porting the engine by the company themselves. So no much we can do on that other than waiting, which hopefully won't be long.

Noratoto - 18+ Restoration Project
littleshogun replied to Infernoplex's topic in Translation Projects
Business wise it's a wise decision seeing that Steam will reject any VN with 18+ contents, and we'll saw enough of that to make the conclusion. That said, the reason on why people mad at Pulltop would likely that they didn't provided uncensor patch for anyone else who like to read the sex scenes, and I can say that it's ironic that Pulltop did indirectly inspire other publisher to release uncensor patch for every VN that enter the Steam while Pulltop themselves still won't release the uncensor patch. -
Well I guess nowadays Whirlpool can't make something like Suzukaze no Melt again, although piece series might be interesting. At least their short VNs series, Nekonin, can get them some money, although whether Nekonin series is good on it's own or it's just merely follow Nekopara's trend is another matter. What I can say is that Drapri here is probably intended as their second short VNs series after Nekonin, so perhaps we may have the second part of this in the future.
-
As for Dracu Riot, I would say that you better expect the plot will be the same as Riddle Joker here although of course Dracu Riot came first, or at least that's what I can say from reading mod Clephas review in regard of Riddle Joker here. That said, it mean that at least you didn't need to keep comparing the similarity between Riddle Joker and Dracu Riot, which mean that you can fully enjoy it in case you still not playing Dracu Riot yet so have fun in regard of playing Riddle Joker later. PS - Actually there's full translation patch for Dracu Riot available, but seeing that apparently it's still not fully polished perhaps it would be wise to waiting for Nekonyan's version (It's a redundant one to me personally though).

Welcome to Fuwanovel, and for your project I have no much to say other than good luck on that. I hope that you'll have fun here.

Wondering Swordsman: The Journey of Rance Review
littleshogun posted a blog entry in Pretty Cure on Fuwanovel
Visual Novel Translation Status (11/01/2020) Since we have Rance 01 and 02 bundle being released, I thought that it would be appropriate to parodied English title of Majo no Tabi Tabi, Wondering Witch: The Journey of Elaina, for this week VNTS Review title in that I changed the 'Witch' into 'Swordsman' and 'Elaina' into 'Rance' because Rance himself is a very good swordsman. As for this week, seeing that it's Halloween we have a lot of announcements and releases with Mangagamer decided to reveal three of their secret projects along with aforementioned Rance bundle release, and we also have both Nekonyan and Sekai did their updates. So overall I can say that this week is quite an exciting one, and let's see what I can write for this week as well. From fan translation we have Loe Translation did release the 2nd Alpha patch for Junketsu Megami-sama in that apparently translate some more of the contents. I didn't care much about the VN itself seeing that it's a pregnancy nukige that Loe Translation like to translate and that the premise was related to the MC impregnate the goddesses, but it should be good for anyone who waiting for the update of the translation itself seeing that the last time they release partial patch was at June 2018 (I forgot about that to be frank). For the rest of the updates, we have Loverable was at 92.26% edited, Reflection Blue was past three quarter (75.63%) edited, Shin Koihime Musou was at 37% edited, Harugi was at 69% translated with Yuuna's route was at 46% traslated along with Misaki's route was at 11% translated, and Eustia was at 56.32% TLC-ed with Licia's chapter was at 23.11% TLC-ed. We also have six routes from Chaos Head Noah finished the first pass translation, and that they're also keep working on Robotic Notes in that other than fixing the translation they'll also add the mouse support for it (Their blogpost for more detail). I also know that there's both Akagoei and Suzukuri no Karin-chan finished the prologue translation, but for time being I decided to not keep my eyes on those two much. This week we have Creature Romance For Girl released by Sekai few days ago, and it's been four years since Sekai announce it. The VN itself is obviously otome VN only that the heroes themselves are the alien, which might be quite handsome for alien standard. Anyway if you somehow find the aliens are handsome and want to play some otome VN, go get the VN and have fun. By the way for trivia it's from same developer who develop the VN where you can date your grasshopper childhood friend. We also have the updates from Sekai in that we have Nine Episode 4 was at 80% translated and edited, and most surprisingly we have Amatsutsumi was at 90% translated. I guess Sekai is really want to release Nine Episode 4 as soon as possible looking from the number of editing progress, and I'll look forward to see if it's really possible or not. I also hope that Sekai will release Amatsutsumi faster, but perhaps it might be not quite possible for them. That's all for Sekai Project updates. Mangagamer They decided to reveal three out of their four secret projects, and let's just say that all of those are have some passion. As for the reveal, turned out that the 7th secret project was a VN from Clock-Up with the localized name How to Live a Healthy Hentai Lifestyle in that it's about a MC who somehow manage to live together with a family that have the matriarch who manage to save the world from World War 3 by using sex diplomacy, and naturally the MC will have a lot of sex from the female in the family. While this is Clock-Up VN, I think it's one of their lighter VN out there although of course there'll be a number of sex scenes seeing that it's nukige and all. The other reveal that they have is also in regard of their 4th secret project in that turned out it's Funbag Fantasy 3if, which of course still have big breast heroines and that it's the better version of the original Funbag Fantasy 3. It should also be noted that earlier we have Waffle work together with ShiraVN to release Eden's Ritter overseas, so at least now I'm sure that Waffle still willing to work with Mangagamer. Since we already have the progress for both projects seeing that it's the secret projects, let me remind that currently both VNs were fully translated and edited. For their 3rd secret project, turned out that it's a VN from Base Son and that it'll be released at 19th later. Although unfortunately it's not either Shin Koihime Musou or Sengoku Koihime, but instead it's a GL VN (Wanting Wings aka Kimihane) with the premise that three girls became roommate with all of them are having same backstory in that they've seen the angel in their childhood. Naturally being roommate in GL VN can only mean one thing, and it's like Flowers Spring in that there'll be romance involved. We also have the sequel for this to be released in a bundle, just like Rance 01 and 02 bundle. I don't know on how good the VN will be, but apparently the reception for it so far are quite good so I'm slightly look forward for the release later. As for the release that Mangagamer had, it's Rance 01 and 02 bundle in that those two VNs are the remake of older Rance. We also already have those two translated in the past, which technically speaking it mean that the release are quite redundant because the English player already know the story for both of 01 and 02. That said, both VNs come with the improvements so perhaps the release are not so redundant. As for 01 here, our Rance was tasked to find a lost girl. For 02 here Rance was supposed to save the town from four witches who wield the ring that amplify the magic power of virgin, and saving the town would naturally involving what Rance would easily to do (ie sex). As for the improvement, 01 had the graphic fully revamped along with the gameplay change. While the available translation for Rance 2 was also use the remake, apparently Alicesoft decided to hide the improved script inside the sub directory of Alice 2010 (Don't ask me on why Alicesoft didn't just incorporate the new script file into game's main file) and the fan translator didn't translate the improved script so at least you can see more lines in Mangagamer version of 02. Go get Rance bundle if you want to see the beginning of an infamously selfish swordsman adventure, and have fun. Other After some time waiting, we finally have Fakku revealing that they'll release Abaddon at next year (ie February 12th) along with them released the trial version of it. I'm still not quite interested with this, but at least good for the people who've been want to play Abaddon for a while. Sol Press also gave some updates in that we have Sakura Celebration QA build was in progress and that Nukitashi was past halfway (51%) edited, and no much to say other than apparently they have new editor for Nukitashi or something like that. From Nekonyan we have some interesting progress in that Clover Days was at 40% edited and started the engine port, Kirikoi was fully translated along with three quarter edited, Melty Moment was halfway translated, and their 1st secret project was at 62% translated along with a quarter edited. Also they already have Riddle Joker was at 80% in QA, although it's already ready for the release anyway so telling the QA progress for that is a bit moot to me. Lastly we have surprise release from Sukera Sparo in form of their new VN Curse of Kudan, and apparently it's been banned on Steam so you can't get that there. As for the premise, it's about the town who said to be cursed with a creature called Kudan in that if you see it you'll die in several days later. Enter 16 years old girl Kudan Sakuya (The MC) who have the same family name as the creature in that she has the bad fortune to see Kudan, and of course Sakuya try to fight her supposed end to not avail only to be fail seeing that the Kudan keep approaching her. From there we'll see on how Sakuya will find a way to fight the curse and hopefully she'll be successful. Forgot to say that like Amrilato (Same developer) this is GL VN as well, although the writer is not the same though in that the writer for Curse of Kudan here is also Flowers tetralogy writer. Go get Curse of Kudan if you want a GL VN with supernatural element, and have fun. That's all for this week VNTS Review, and see you next week. -
VN of the Month June 2009 - Zettai Karen! Ojou-sama
littleshogun commented on kivandopulus's blog entry in Vndbreview
Sakusakura here is supposed to be first Sol Press VN, only to be replaced by Newton VN because they decided to upscale the resolution which to say are pretty crazy of them because they overestimated on how good the reception would be. Granted that some of the members are like it, although in the end it'd still amounted to old VN and that even with them managed to release it on time they would still lose to Nekonyan with their first release are Fureraba in that it's newer moege. I admit that I'm still hopeful even after Sol Press delay the release seeing that they manage to grab some several interesting licenes, but let's just say that their recent reputation are not something that you should see from a company. Long story short, they dropped the VN localization business which good for them seeing that their VN businesd is crumbling. As for the VN itself, well it have two MC and two heroines like Sorcery Jokers, although in here each MC will need to deal with love triangle on their own. Lastly I can say that at least the graphic is still looking good and that they have some well known VA. Sumaga Special is the FD of Sumaga, and so no one would expect it to be available in English seeing that JAST still not released Sumaga until now. Other than that, there's another Da Capo 2 FD which to say not interested with it. Well no much to comment in regard of June 2009 other than Sakusakura which supposed to be Sol Press first release only to be delayed for a year, so that's all for my comment here. -
Kimi ga Nozomu Eien is getting a translation!
littleshogun replied to Formlose Gestalt's topic in Visual Novel Talk
About that it's from Nightmare Fuel of this VN at TV Trope. As for the scene, it involve Manami did kidnap and torture of Takayuki while dresses him up in girl clothes, sodomizes him, urinates on him, and forcing him to undergo gender reassignment surgeries. Granted that it's not as disturbed as euphoria or Maggot Baits, but for the warning it's there in the old version in case you're feeling disturbed with the content. -
I don't know if @Darkarcanum here is really new on VN fan translation scene or not, but from the look of it I think you're pretty much (Pardon my choice of word beforehand) naive and reckless in that you think that you should donate money in grey zone. Remember that fan translation here is basically grey zone, and I know that there's several examples of some projects got C&D just because they've been ask for money with the famous example is Romanesque Kickstarter by Aroduc. While I know that it's your own will to give the money, it might be alert August which to say is less than ideal situation and therefore risking C&D. Not to mention that giving donation here is basically just turned it into pseudo official translation, which is still illegal at this point and to make it legal it would take too much effort. So in order to lessen the risk of C&D, I would say that you better just scrapped the donation idea and just support the effort through another way. PS - Donation here is pretty much debated in the older time of Fuwanovel, and you may learn about that from both of the thread below. And here's another thread that discuss about it as well. tldr - I would say that it's better safe than sorry when it come to donation to fan translation effort, so my stance here would be that I won't involve with this kind of donation even if I have 100 dollars because of the risk.

VN of the Month May 2009 - Trample on "Schatten!!" ~Kagefumi no Uta~
littleshogun commented on kivandopulus's blog entry in Vndbreview
My comment for May 2009 here. Tenshin Ranman - First successful Yuzusoft VN and apparently the format will repeated throughout their next VNs, which of course not a bad strategy seeing that usually they only play Yuzusoft VNs for the heroines. It also got Shizuka Ito as the main heroine, although unfortunately no Nabatame Hitomi here yet (Both of them are usually have role in an anime so much that fans likened them as the couple). Sekai did get this together with Dracu Riot, although unfortunately there's still no news about it until now. Let's just say that it won't be surprising if Nekonyan will take over the license for this sooner or later, as it did happen with Dracu Riot earlier. Trample on Schatten - At first I'm interested with this because it have magical girl heroine, although as time goes on I find this flawed. Mostly in regard of the routes when there's a lot of heroines selection and yet only Kezaiah that got the biggest focus, which to say is pretty much the normal weakness of magical girl anime (Or rather sentai) in that usually they focused on pink character (Or red character for sentai equivalent), although Kizaiah here is blue character though. I find that the childhood friend become mahou shoujo is interesting, although it's too bad that she became the victim in main route. That said, at least she got time to shine in the side route although the side routes itself is short. That said, I guess I can recommend this VN if you need some magical girl VN that resemble Precure to a degree. Valkyrie Complex - Circus's attempt to make SRPG, and no much that I can say on this even though I prefer gameplay VN. This being untranslated also deter my interest, because it mean I won't understand the narration even if I play this lol. Ace Attorney Miles Edgeworth - Yes I go with localized name, so deal with it lol. No much can say on first part here other than I manage to somehow finished this, and that the final culprit himself is quite infamous for on how hard of him to take down (Although I should blame the writer for dragging down the confrontation though seeing that it's a VN and no other gameplay except presenting the evidences). I use the walkthrough when I play this by the way, because I want it to be finished as soon as possible. The sequel for this is not officially localized by Capcom, although in exchange it bring something interesting that I'll talk about later. Oh and while this is console only VN, at least you can play it in PC by using DS emulator. That's all for my comment in regard of May 2009 releases. -
Well good to know that you like it I suppose, although I'm surely won't play it though.
-
Obviously try Maggot Bait from same developer. Other than that, you can try Kuroinu and Erewhon. Or perhaps you can try any of Taimanin VNs that are already translated. In any case, I hope my recommendations here can be helpful to you.

Kimi ga Nozomu Eien is getting a translation!
littleshogun replied to Formlose Gestalt's topic in Visual Novel Talk
As for which version that will be translated, most likely it'll use the reboot version that age announced some times ago. No idea though on what kind of change that the reboot will bring, but the most obvious one would be adjust the writing so that it can fit Steam very strict censorship along with graphic and resolution. While granted that the sex scene removal is quite concerning, perhaps it might be for the best seeing that age was quite creative when they wrote one of sex scene with a side character. And by creative I mean quite disturbing, which say a lot seeing that Kiminozo here is not exactly the most lighthearted VN in the first place (Apparently the problem was fixed in console version). Anyway even though I said that it's quite dated, I would still interested to see this if only to finally see another original source of an old anime finally get localized. -
Welcome to Fuwanovel, and in case you need some VN recommendations you can try to ask for that here. I hope that you'll have fun here.
-
Welcome to Fuwanovel and sorry for the belated greeting. As for your project, well good luck on that. I hope that you'll enjoy yourself here.

Visual Novel Translation Status (10/25/2020) Welcome to this week VNTS and sorry for being late here, and as for the title I'll tell it at PS later. As for this week, I can see that we've been active with horror theme release (Iwaihime and Sadistic Blood) that was released at this week which to say pretty reasonable seeing that we'll going to have Halloween in four days. Other than horror VNs releases, we also have Wanko Marriage sudden release after there's some uncertainty whether it'll be released at this year or not. Of course we still have some updates, with the most notable one was in regard of Riddle Joker release at December 18th later. Overall I can say that this week is pretty good in regard of the release, and let's see what I can write for this week as well. As for Sadistic Blood, JAST did release it back at 21st and as expected the some of the CG are very twisted when uncensored, which should be given looking from on how the artist manger to draw the character sprites beautifully. I should also add that this is the first time that JAST did offer the patch to make the mosaic appear again, which really says a lot on how twisted some of the no mosaic CG are and I already see that some of the CG are quite disturbing even with mosaic. Once again I won't suggest 15 years old to play this even with mosaic, but if you're 15 years old and really want to play it because of curiosity proceed at your own risk. Forgot to mention that while this is first translated Black Cyc VN, JAST already released Princess X that was created by the company from the same group as Black Cyc so it's quite reasonable that JAST can get Black Cyc's license. Lastly if you interested with Sadistic Blood because of the twisted CG and also the because of the writer Izumi Ban'ya previous works (Mugen Renkan, Kuroinu and euphoria), go get that and have fun. We also have a good news in that finally we have age started producing Kiminozo for English production according to this tweet. While granted that this is the former age's Magnum Opus before it change to Muv Luv (And milking it), nowadays I guess I can say that I'm not particularly looking forward to it because it looks too dated to me. That said if you want to see more triangle love VN you can get it later, although age themselves still not give the release date though. By the way in regard of which version that age would like to translated, I would guess that the most obvious answer here would be the planned reboot version that was announced some times ago. There's also Wanko Marriage release in that apparently it got some translation problem, although I didn't pay much attention to it seeing that it's just an usual light moege. Go get that though if you want to see the MC run the cafe with dog girl, and have fun. From fan translation, we have Loverable was at 92.09% translated, Harugi was at 68% translated with Yuuna's route was at 41% translated, 17,186 lines of Pure x Connect are translated, and Eustia was fully edited along with 55.90% TLC-ed with Licia's chapter was at 20.86% TLC-ed (With Eustia fully edited here obviously it mean that I'll fully focused on TLC progress from now on). Nekonyan did announce that they'll release Riddle Joker at December 18th later, which to say was quite surprising to me seeing that I was not browse internet at the time when Nekonyan announce it for several reasons. In any case, since mod Clephas did say that Riddle Joker plot here resemble Dracu Riot I would say that you can just directly play Riddle Joker in case you still waiting Nekonyan released Dracu Riot, although if you still curious about Dracu Riot after finished Riddle Joker of course you can try the former when Nekonyan release it. As for me, well I guess I'll gonna try it later when it's released because after all more Yuzusoft VNs in English is always good. As for Iwaihime, I would say that it should be good VN if you still very new in that you still not playing any of Ryukishi's VNs. Or rather the comparison would be like you should play Summer Pockets before trying any of KEY VNs, and also you should try Riddle Joker first before trying Dracu Riot. So if I may summarized what Iwaihime is, it would be that I see a lot of deja vu from both of Higurashi and Umineko plot (Mainly Higurashi though) and therefore it should be good for the beginner. Of course like both of previous Ryukishi's work, there'll be no explicit sex CG althoough it didn't mean that there'll be no sex contents though, and more importantly there'll be a lot of horror as both of his previous works can show. The premise here is that we have our MC Susumu who transferred to a new school and met with a creepy girl with the name Toe, and somehow Susumu got a feeling that he must help Toe at any cost. While I did say that it have a lot of deja vu from the previous works, I can still say that Iwaihime here is good on it's own so go get that if you interested with more horror VN and have fun. That's all for this week VNTS Review, and see you next week. PS - For the title I decided to have VA parody by change the alias from one of the heroine in Iwaihime (Nunokawa Riria) 'Cleaning Princess Magical Lily' into 'Cleaning Princess Magical Malty', because both of Riria and Malty of Shield Hero anime share same VA (Bridcutt Sarah Emi). And yes I know that the title is very ironic, because while Malty here is princess and magical (She's a mage) she's anything but clean as Shield Hero fans can attest. Speaking about VA parody, I see that Riria's stage name is Kurusu Riria and it makes me wonder if Ryukishi play too much Chaos Child when he wrote Iwaihime and cast the VA for Riria because there's Chaos Child heroine with a same name family that share the same VA (Kurusu Nono).

VN of the Month April 2009 - Heliotrope -Sore wa Shi ni Itaru Kami no Ai-
littleshogun commented on kivandopulus's blog entry in Vndbreview
I start to see of more familiar VNs as of April 2009 here, so let me comment on this as well. Himegari - While it have localization, the narration is MTL-ed and thus shouldn't be counted as translation. At least the interface is translated if anything else. This is the first VN when Eushully decided to do SRPG and the result is good so much that they directly copied the system into Kamidori and Amayui along with derived some of the gameplay elements into their other VNs. That said Himegari gameplay here is quite flawed in that to reenter the dungeon you need a resource that was randomly found in the dungeon, and you also need to spend some money to craft the item with money itself are already rare enough in that you only got it as clear bonus. Flaws aside, I hope that someday we'll see this properly translated because I like the gameplay here. Also while VNDB classify this as nukige, I won't treat it as such like Frontier because you'll more focused on the gameplay even though you'll need it to strengthen your character. This VN also spawn first Eushully gacha game in that it adapt the story of this with some modification in gameplay, and the gacha game itself is already closed down. Shinikiss - Quite gloomy VN, seeing that the MC himself is still coping from his loss of childhood friend. It also got unusual setting in that the main heroine are shinigami who tell the MC that he'll dead soon, although then again it's not quite unusual for Alcot to make the setting are different from the norm (Most of their VNs are always involving some supernatural and the like to a degree). Currently we only have this and Osadai as translated Alcot VNs, although with Nekonyan took care of Clover Days license we'll going to have three Alcot VNs translated in the future. Narcissu 3 - The main writer of Narcissu was the one who write middle age story which to say are quite different from what he wrote in Narcissu setting wise (The theme is still the usual Narcissu though), so no much to say on that. Also Sekai have the license for this VN, although they only translate the story for the main author which to say might be the wise decision because it's the most similar with previous Narcissu duology. It's still too bad though that we didn't see the rest of the story got translated, but I guess no much we can do on that. Katawa Shoujo - The most well known OELVN, in that it's actually resembled the usual charage only with disable people and the one who create it was 4chan which as I know are quite a wild one back then. While you can say that it's 2009 release, it take more than two years before we can saw the full version of that back at January 4th, 2012 (I remember the date because one of important event in my family life was happened at that date). Anyway even with on how good and important this VN is so much that it influence other people to make this kind of OELVN again (Which of course would be quite hard to repeat that kind of feat), too bad that I can't add this to my best VNs list in 2012 because after all it's OELVN and my focus is more on translated VNs. It also have Japanese translation, and as for how they response at least it's looking good if I just look at Erogamescape with the average score at around 75. Lastly I would say that this would make a good first VN for most of the people, especially after I see that most people first VNs are this one. Toradora Portable - Game version of Toradora, and that it add additional romance option which should be good for everyone else who didn't like canon heroine (Taiga). I don't know on how much the involvement that the original writer have in this VN, but at least I see her credit in VNDB which is good enough seeing that there are several anime adaptation VN that didn't involved the original writer (ie Saekano VN). Furifure - The heroine's hair color is very normal, which to say it's been pretty much the company trademark (Noesis here is in the same group of company with Innocent Grey). As for the story, well it's nukige so just enjoy the sex scenes I suppose. I find that 2nd Furifure more interesting though if only because the heroine did wear other outfit beside school uniform lol, although then again some people may prefer forbidden love between married teacher and high school student. Note that both this VN and the sequel are already translated by Mangagamer. Da Capo IF - Looks like Circus are also aware on how unpopular Nemu is and on how popular Kotori is, so much that they decided to make the fandisc with Kotori as the main heroine. Poor Nemu though in that her role are more or less as the bad girl in this VN, although then again it might says much on how Kotori's fans didn't like Nemu or something like that and perhaps the writer for IF here may not like Nemu as well. Almost forgot to say that Mangagamer also already had this translated, which says a lot seeing that there's a lot of untranslated Da Capo spin-offs. That's all for my comment on April 2009 releases. -
You can also get this from Johren if you've been like buy the VN from there. Anyway congratulation to Shira VN in regard of Iwaihime release, and I hope that we can see more interesting VN releases from them. And also I would say just don't expect something like Higurashi or Umineko seeing that Ryukishi did write for other company and thus being held back, although from the trial I can see some writing did resemble Higurashi to a degree especially in regard of the characters like I said beforehand. PS - Almost forget to say that at least you didn't need to worry about Ryukishi's arts just in case you didn't like on how he drew the sprites.
