The MG release of Kai I got had a fair amount of cool tracks, idk how much they had to cut from the original though. I didn't get it from official sources though so it's entirely possible it was patched though - I don't think it had any music patches, however.

If you have ok writing abilities this website seems to do pretty good handwriting recognition http://kanji.sljfaq.org/ Presumably useful if you see a non-text kanji and cba to search by radicals on denshijisho or something

Note that MG is re-translating Higurashi (not kai as of yet) as we speak. The current tl is... acceptable but not ideal; I might actually recommend waiting if you have the patience.

That's the point. Letting go of the past is one of the two main themes in Hoshimemo; the other would be "cruel kindness". I suppose you could say the secret route kind of muddies the "leave the past behind" message a bit in favor of the second one. However, it's more the girl's realization than You's attitude that leads to conflict resolution in the route, so it's at least not completely invalidated :s

I wonder if I'm the only one who actually liked the supernatural setting/backstory elements of hoshimemo. My tolerance for this thing is pretty high, then again my favorite book genre is fantasy lol. (That said, there's one place where I /do/ think it's legitimately stupid: Kud's route in LB. Feels like lazy writer syndrome...) I personally felt a lot of empathy for Isuzu, and her dere mode was hilariously heart-melting. Plus, I found her at least somewhat funny. That said her route is a bit weak, so meh. Still think Yume's route is the best one in the vn. Partly because of the supernatural reveals that turn othersoff, partly because Yume is best girl. Also I totally want Mayaka, Setsuna, and You's really hot mom routes. FOR STORY PURPOSES OF COURSE.

If anyone is actually wondering why I'm not in irc atm, it's b/c I'm IP-banned for autodetected bot-like behaviour or something. Pretty weird, and apparently going to last three days -- I've appealed it through a website form and everything but no response (I have a sneaking suspicion that I entered my email wrong though... urgh.) Given that it's an ip ban, and IRC bans proxies afaik, circumventing it is going to be a massive pain; I'll prolly just chill in the fuwaskype when I feel the need to type random shit

I've had similar issues with little busters. The error with a BG file being wrong only appeared when it was actually being shown; I was able to solve it by a torrent re-check and then replacing the offending graphics folder with a re-torrented one. Hoshimemo uses a different engine, though, so it might be a bit harder... hmm.

I'm interested in participating. Major potential issue is me being asleep when you decide to run it; that said I can probably wake up at 4am local (which should be 10pm EST) as it looks now, which might make things work out (this is what I did for batman's streams w). Not sure whether my sleep schedule will be that stable though; we'll see.

I'd personally appreciate you trying out hitbox, despite its *cough* colorful history. The delay on twitch is so terrible for me that I don't care, and you're unlikely to make them much money anyway.
