    Seems there won't be a retranslation, according to an update by sekai project on the greenlight page. Bit sad. Then again... Hmm. Maybe, this is fortuitous in one way~

    I agree with nohman's reasons and would thus prefer for mod names to stay the same. That said, I've really never been that newbie looking for a staff member (or it's so long ago I can't remember, on some long-dead forum...)

    given that sekai project has contacted them, id assume a release of part two is at least somewhat more likely now. they have some experience of working with jp creators, and competent translators!

    that guy is clearly from the japanese side, not the sekaiproject side. part of why it feels a bit weird.

    tbh, despite the ending of ep 1 leaving you wanting more, it's not a cliffhanger. Getting just the first episode is worth it. Also there is _some_ talk of a "proper translation" but it's a bit vague, given the commenter's shaky command of the english language:

    ^she does have a bit, its just lolshort and stuff don't mislead . Also the character chibis indicate that that choice gives Love Points for the depicted character. Anyway as said Yume route must be completed before the Mare route choices appear Yume is better than Mare anyway

    This is intended behaviour as far as I know. With that said, there are generally ways to fix this - you'll want to look at your graphic card's driver settings. Look at post 5 here for a bit on that: http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/archive/index.php/t-2514212.html This talks about aspect ratio, but I found that it would maximize sonohana while maintaining aspect ratio as well. Personally I had to deal with Intel drivers for my integrated graphics; in japanese because of japanese locale, lol.

    Think 2014 will start with me starting Kud's route proper in LB. I think I'm at day 28 or something.

    The first thing is to check if any files are randomly set to read-only. Seems unlikely since you actually installed it though. Seeing this unable to read stuff makes me suspect that either ever17 doesn't have permission to read those files (might be solvable by launching ever17 as an administrator,) or some program like a virus or an anti-virus is blocking it. Windows 8.1 seems to mess with VNs in general, so there is that. tl;dr run ever17 as admin, turn off any antivirus and see if that helps, could try scanning for viruses as a long-shot option. That computer freeze seems pretty mysterious. While it's pretty lame, consider reinstalling as well.

    My preference is something f/sn style; bad ends like that make choices interesting, and the hint corner makes sure you don't get stuck. The routes branch off (very) early as well. For choices between things that lead to different paths I like for them to be unambiguous and logical. Things like the s;g phone trigger system can go die in a fire.

    This is a bug with the latest patch.xp3 in some releases, if you really want to you can temporarily remove the latest numbered patchx.xp3 from your directory then move it back once you've scrolled past where the CG appears (at the very endgame really). That said it's just a CG that you've already seen. Kinda unnecessary... I think it's not needed for the fate final saber afterstory thing at least...

    I didn't think Komari was that bad, and her voice is orders of magnitude better than Nagisa's Oo. Currently gone Komari -> Rin1 -> Haruka -> random CG run for some sasasasuiadhisasegawa CG fun (incidentally Rin had higher stats after this when I started again, even though I didn't get any heroine ending... maybe because I ZOMG WON TEH BASEBALL GAEM?)

    Fringe cases: could be one of your ctrl, alt, etc buttons are stuck in pressed-down mode for whatever reason, that can do really weird things. Probably not the case, though.
