Temporary lame workaround that might work: get the noscript add-on for firefox (actually I think there is a chrome version as well) and disable fuwanovel.net in scripts. It will block some stuff from working, but you can still browse the visual novels and stuff. There's actually a specific script running to create the snow, so there might be a better way to do this. I don't know, though.

Silly question, but exactly what are you clicking to start the game? Otherwise, all I can recommend is making sure your anti-virus is not stopping the actual program from running, and seeing if anything is still read-only even though you stopped seeding (these things are weird...). Oh, and possibly re-checking the torrent once again... boring, but shouldn't take too long.

I have to say it's really weird for him to have kosame data when he doesn't have komomo data, given that komomo is required for kosame as far as I know. Anyway, lemme get my savefile up... absolutely everything is unlocked here.

Might be that you're using installed and not prepatched version and that does it. I do use win7.. Also, Documents is not an actual folder, it's a library combining different locations iirc. the my documents folders are actually in different user folders (like c:\users\foo\FAVORITE\ or c:\users\bar\FAVORITE\ etc).

The problem isn't the rights, it's that it places it in different folders If you're admin than if you're not adminning it. At least if you're on a user level account. I can confirm this actually happened on my system

This might be due to problems with admin / non-admin runs of hoshimemo. The saves will be in two different directories, which can be a bit of a headache.
