Hi, I'm Zakamutt. How are you doing? I never did post an intro topic, did I? But to celebrate my five-hundredth post... perhaps one is in order, after all. It's kind of funny to have finally reached 500 posts, given that I've spent most of my time with this community in our irc channel, #fuwanovel on Rizon. For what it's worth, I've written by far the most lines, and words, of anyone residing there. I've also been involved in... quite a bit of the scattered drama flare-ups there. Nevertheless, I still have fun there - though it seems that these days I'm mostly desperately trying to reach shcboomer and solidbatman with PMs While I'm not as emotionally invested in Fuwanovel as some of our members, I still do love this community - for one, most of my e-life circles around this place by now. While it might seem a bit cliche, I believe in Tay's words: we must constantly choose to be welcoming and friendly; only by that can we remain the community Aaeru envisioned, and avoid degrading to the venomous environment most other VN sites have. Only in that way we can keep to Fuwanovel's goal: making visual novels popular in the west. I've done a few things for the site; I hope to do more in the future when an opportunity presents itself (well, I am lazy. It will need to catch my interest). While I've certainly developed deeper bonds with some members of this site than others, I don't think a list of those people will be all that good of an idea: if you're not on it, you will surely feel left out - and I'm bound to forget someone. Thus, I offer you this opportunity: If you want to know my opinion of you, feel free to ask me in a pm on IRC or in these forums. Be warned, I am blunt - though I'm happy to have graduated from "rude" to "forthright" in a certain person's mind . To me, thrash metal will probably always be best metal. I started out with Metallica from what I know, but eventually Megadeth really grew on me. Yooooooooooo M&M Katawa Shoujo is both overrated (by people unexperienced with VNs) and underrated (by people who have read lots and/or hate OELVNs). I'd say it's probable you'll find something you like even more eventually -- not sure how well-read you are, though. One of these days, I'll try to write an article that doesn't suck on why KS is interesting. I scrapped my last attempt.

World End Economica ep 2 if possible. First episode was ~0.7 mb, so shouldn't be too long unless they increased the size. That said, the first episode was commercially translated. However, it seems like we might have to wait a bit too long than I'd like for ep 2, and if they don't pick up the slack, well, the ending of ep 1 really makes youy want for more... Plus, the editing for ep 1 was terrible.

I have an atypical case of social phobia - got a diagnosis and all. I don't have problems with a lot of things that are common for this thing - for one, not only can I do public speaking, but I was practically top of the class. However, initiating contact with whatever subject is pretty hard for me, especially if it would bother the person in question. For example, I put off finishing my CV for ages since there was a small "personal presentation" thing I felt was judging me or whatever. Basically, I have quite a lot of problems with this. They only affect me in subtle ways, and, for the most part, aren't extremely difficult to deal with though.

Personally I'd probably just learn the actual readings through exposure/immersion. I have a decent memory for trivia though. Well, not that I'm currently finished with RtK anyhow... The thing about RtK is that it gives you a tangible object to attach more meanings, readings etc to. I don't think many of its detractors really get this.

I think the disadvantage of zip having to keep the file is actually beneficial. I personally always make a copy of the file to keep my torrented copy clean of any changed to config files, etc that may occur as I read the vn. In that case, a zip is handy, especially if slightly compressed.

Didn't aaeru herself start zipping them for the very last torrents?

Actually if you really did multi-rar it, you could download it in parts and have less of the issue at hand, assuming untechsavvy people can open multi rars (no). Anyway, we've had massive amount of problems with read only stuff. To me, zipping is a no-brainer.

Is reading the LN / watching some other incarnation recommended before starting the vn?
