Nah, the Kanon adaptation was fairly good, if not as good as the VN. Never watched the CLANNAD animu, and not sure why I even did it for the Kanon anime either.
-
Well, I think our earlier threads about making VNs into animu have more or less concluded that riraito's would probably suck. Oh well, not like I'd actually watch it anyway
-
I quite liked Another, but it works better as horror than mystery for the most part. I'm still a pleb in # of animu watched, but fave would be Hyouka which integrated the mysteries in character-driven plotlines in really interesting ways.

Frankly, it's quite a mystery how he manages to keep his hand glued to his head at all times.

Might have been said before, but using Heartharena to draft might be something to try, those aren't looking very good. Generally they seem top-heavy and have a suspicious level of quite bad picks/curve, though you could have just gotten unlucky. If you know someone else who is doing better, they might be able to coach you on playing (I might be able to if you're on eu, could also move to na server but that's a bit annoying). If you do decide to use Heartharena, you can probably just follow its suggestions 100% of the time unless it does something really janky (and even then, try searching for info about its rating - stuff like coliseum manager that I thought was really dubious turned out to do quite well for me, argent squire and argent horseman are other potential examples). Warlock is a low tier class atm and Warrior is by far the worst arena class to the point where it's generally avoided completely. Generally you will want to pick Paladin>Mage>Rogue>Druid>Shaman>Warlock>Hunter>Priest>Warrior (rogue is considered the top class for pros, but pala and mage, especially pala, are more forgiving of mistakes and generally more intuitive imo - for example, hero powering on t2 is often a good move when playing rogue, even with nothing to remove).

The skip is always bugged to count all heroine routes as already read from my understanding of it. No fix, was in original Japanese version as well iirc.

JAST delays Shiny Days until the 29th

Hoshimemo is well rated by a lot of folks, Run is a notable hater (but has decent reasons). I liked it myself. Endings are happy.

What rule changes are you guys worrying about, exactly? I mean, as long as I can keep shitposting...

I always thought the font was a bit small to read comfortably in True Remembrance, interesting. Good luck on the project, TR is one of my faves as well.

Believe it or not, just searching for "visual novel" in the play store is fairly effective. I like Sepia Tears myself. I wouldn't say there's antyhing great around though.

Basically, these days if you make an Android build, using RAPT, for a Ren'py VN, that can be just installed as a normal Android app using the .apk created. There's no need to download a separate program to run them... if you want to run Ren'py VNs that don't have an android version available right now though, I don't know. If you want to just try out a random Android VN on your phone, be aware that there are a decent few free ones up on the play store already.

Come on people, I am a Mio fan and even I disagree with her being cute. What the hell is wrong with you? Cutest character? That's pretty hard, but Shizuru from Rewrite is a decent candidate...

Confession: I just spent like, an hour catching up on this thread properly.

Ideally, no manual should ever be required. There's not really much else to say to be honest... I do read TL and patch notes though, and used to actually read manuals back in the day lel.
-
Why exactly are you thinking their dev is halted, lol? I see no such indications and the maintainer appears to be the same person that does the main Ren'py builds.
-
I have to agree that he was amazingly inefficient information wise... I guess the main part going forward is that they do indeed know that these things are issues, which should admittedly be something we expect anyway.

Well, the error is just "error initializing application", so that doesn't help us much. A few things to think about: Did you running it as both admin and non-admin? Unlikely to help but worth a try. Have you moved the folder after running the bat file? For an easier diagnosis of potential registry issues, it would be nice to know how your HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/asgard/io_r2 keys looked in regedit. If it's not a registry issue, I'm not sure what would cause it honestly. Any weirdness with dual graphic cards (integrated vs separate, as in some laptops) around?

New to visual novels - brought in by Song of Saya
Zakamutt replied to NathanielPrime's topic in Recommendations
It does have music (but indeed no voice), if it didn't for you then you probably patched it wrong lol. --- Anyway, I would recommend Kikokugai and Swan Song for some other grim settings. As for the rest, I don't know how you deal with slice of life / comedy, which is a major part of most VNs - this will determine in part whether you like a lot of VNs. Also props to EC for mentioning Saya, it's a p. cool pick by them. -
Well, this is hard... but muh waifu for rest of muh post-apoc laifu would be Inaba Himeko from Kokoro Connect. Though she isn't perfect, she managed to stand strong throughout all the drama in the animu, so she'll probably be able to deal with everyone being gone and shit. I really like how she's so forthright and yet such dere for Taichi.

Will you look at Skype as well? I feel too lazy to re-type short messages, but if I have to... (importance level 2/5)

I feel like giving context for the whole cock-twitching thing, but... who cares? Honest truth is, there is something rather betwitching about it. --- Looking back, one of the things that truly moved my kokoro was Steve's passion. For example, for the EH project (rip meph tho):
