Hi everyone! A little over a week ago I made a video on Youtube outlining some of my thoughts about what the future of visuals outside Japan might be like. I thought it would be interesting to hear what everyone here thinks about how the industry is going to develop as well, and if you agree/disagree with my thoughts so I figured I might as well post it here too. Short answer: No Longer answer: It's a fairly upbeat and fun game and so moe it it practically kills. It has a lot of both emotional and very entertaining moments, but I for one don't understand why anyone would want to read it over any of Key's VNs, as to me both Little Busters and Clannad seem superior in every way. (Except possibly in it's amount of cuteness and adult content).

Isn't this a myth? The whole thing about the Coriolis force being able to affect the spin of the water when you flush the toilet, I mean. I don't have a very long list to choose from, but I think I have to give my point to Rewrite, with G senjou no Maou being a close runner-up.

I think I could try to join in, if you don't find anyone else to fill all the spots. I should warn you though, I will be sitting in Beijing on the specified date so getting my schedule to fit with everyone else in going to be difficult. Also, the internet over there tends to be quite very crappy so there is a high possibility that I'm going to lag out during the call. Let's see.... I should be available from 07:00 in the morning to 12:00 in the evening Beijing time on both Saturday and Sunday, and Beijing is 13 hours ahead of the east coast of the U.S, so that would mean that I could be online from.... 18:00 Friday evening to 11:00 Saturday morning and 18:00 Saturday evening to 11:00 Sunday evening. Also, if we do the recording with Audacity, I might be able to the audio editing. No promises on this one though, as I may or may not be quite busy with school at the time.

Just one thing, you say that I come of as assuming that the average reader as low attention span... and... yes, I'm trying to make my reviews accessible to non-fans of visual novels, so I am kind of doing just that. Would say that I come of as insulting in doing so though? This is something that never even crossed my mind. O_o Heh, thanks a lot for your nice words Nosebleed. I guess maybe I, as the creator, just have a tenancy to look at all the flaws in my own work rather then what I actually did well. By the way, since you've not read Ever17 I might as well ask you this; I was a bit worried that the plot description I made might not have been deep enough. Did you get that feeling too? Hope I did not step on your toes too much. Thanks for watching though.

Yeah, you should be fine. I want to warn you though - there is a section around 8 minutes in or so when I briefly talk about the ending. Again, I did my best to state my opinion on it while trying to avoid spoilers, but you might want to skip it when you get that far just in case.

I tried to keep spoilers to an absolute minimum. When making reviews I always have to include some amounts of spoilers, like the general outline of the story and basic character description, but beyond that I tried to keep everything under wraps. Still, if you want to read Ever17 completely blind, then should not watch my video. =/

...and I was hoping you could tell me what you think of it. I personally am rather unhappy with it, as I think it turned out kind of bad or at least not on par with my other works. =/ It is currently set as unlisted, so I figured I'd ask you guys about your opinion on it before I deiced on wither I should make it public or scrap it. Also, any other feedback you have is more then appreciated. And by the way, for the love of god please tell me your honest opinion. I don't really remember how it was reading my very-very first VN, which was Katawa Shoujo, though, I do remember my first impression of Fate/Stay night, and honestly, it was painful. The problem I had with Fate/Stay night is that the intro was way too long. It took at least a good 5 hours to get started, it handled exposition in a terrible way by literally out right tell the reader what he/she needed to knew instead of weaving it into the narrative, and you even have to play through the opening two times from two different person's perspective. Furthermore, I had already seen much of the anime, so I knew most of the plot in the Fate route, which did not help either. Also... about 10 hours in Fate/Stay Night also had what I personally still consider to be the worst h-scene in visual novel history, so.... yeah, that happened. Still, after I had gotten past that initial bump Fate/Stay night turned it to be a pretty darn amazing read, so I hope that you will be able to enjoy it. By the way, welcome to Fuwanovel! Hope you will enjoy your stay and I recommend that you never-ever-ever-ever click and links given to you by Steve without having your loli-protection barriers up.

It's exceptionally rare for me to cry from any piece of entertainment. As far as I can remember it's never happened with any anime and only once with video games. As far as visual novels goes, the only one that has gotten close was Narcissu, and that one didn't really make me cry, it was more like it got my eyes a bit wet. ... yeah, I don't have any heart - I've got a brick in my chest. Kinda depressing actually, it makes enjoying emotional stories a lot more difficult.

Thanks a lot for taking your time to type all of that out Steve, you've given me a bit to think about. I don't agree with all your points, but that just makes it all the more interesting to listen to. =)

I'm basically indifferent about it. I will mostly start of with voices on, but if I find them annoying (Read: Ever17 and it's terrible audio quality) I will just turn them off and enjoy the game without it.

I'd be up for recording the other parts too, but I can't promise that I would do the audio editing again. Trying to fix the first part took a lot longer then I thought and my result wasn't even very good. Some parts in it had me going "How the **** do I do this?!", so I don't think I'm the best for the job.

I wish you the best of luck, schboomer. Patching up that sound file to acceptable level won't be the easiest task in the world.
