  1. Fuwa has become an irreplaceable place for me. I joined because I wanted to talk to people about the stuff I like, and I wasn't able to find such friendly place like fuwa before. Part of the reason is also me being lonely during the spring. I had barely any school left while my best friends were still studying, so I sought some kind of interaction from here. Over the time Fuwa kind of turned into haven for me, a haven where I can have fun and share my experiences I couldn't share with anyone before. I think I'd be much worse off if I hadn't joined and continued with my hobbies alone. Fuwa brought new kind of cheerfulness to my life. So continuing in the same way as I started: Thanks to all of you wonderful people!
  2. I just watched Suisei no Gargantia: Meguru Kouro, Haruka It was pretty enjoyable. Nothing really special, but it was nice too see the characters again and experience more of the story. It's an epilogue and a new story at the same time, so at times the parts with new story felt little rushed. You didn't get to know the new character well enough that the ending would have felt satisfying. Some the decisions felt like they came out of nowhere. The character design are still some of the best I've seen, the natural blushes and slightly tanned skin are too good. There was also some new and interesting world building, so it kind of ended in a way that left me wanting for a new season.
  3. Lalala laa~ laa~, lala laa~, laala lalala laa~ lala laa~, la laa~, laa laa~
  4. How about some pie? Or dangos?
  5. Welcome I'm actually impressed that you managed to go through a VN with machine translations, that takes some patience.
  6. True otaku/weeaboo/whatever lives in 2D world, so it's only natural to only enjoy 2D food
  7. I like the smaller maps because they less prone to the ambush bullshit that happened in VC1. At least in VC3 you can send reinforcements, whereas in 1 you had to restart the mission more often than not. The smaller maps also allows for faster gameplay. Valkyria Chronicles is best when you are rushing objects with high risk, high rewards tactics. It's much less frustrating than the overly long missions in VC1.
  8. How cares about the best girl, Amy or Gisele are my favorites From the main ones, I went with Riela after thinking about it for 30 mins. That was a really hard choice, but in the end the combination of her personality, red hair and other pleasant physical qualities won me over. No regrets
  9. I would normally vote Persona every time, but thinking how you inspired me to watch Kekkai Sensen I have no choice but to vote for it.
  10. I've been playing Valkyria Chronicles 3 for the last few days. I finally got the English patch working and I've had a blast. VC3 combines together everything that was good in the previous games. It has the advanced character customization and shorter missions from 2 and darker story akin to the first game. The penal military unit is super interesting as a setting. It brings the grittiness of war seen in the first game to whole new level. Once again all by best characters are girls, as there is nothing more satisfying than watching young girls blowing up tanks with machine guns.
  11. Joined "The Nameless" for reasons best left unknown. Known only as No.27 hereafter.

  12. I even managed to see it on youtube before they took it down Demons popping out of standard enemies seems most intriguing. Wonder what's that about And prison Velvet room.
  13. Ys Seven Valkyria Chronicles II Persona 3 Portable These three are what I consider to be the best games for PSP.
  14. Here's some of my thoughts about Yume Miru Kusuri, now that I'm finally finished it. The biggest problem I had with this game was the abundance of H-scenes. Or not really the amount, but rather how often they appear. Nekoko's route was probably the worst example, new H-scene appeared every 5 minutes or so at one point. YMK had too much sex for being so short VN, the ever so often appearing sex scenes just killed the pacing for me. Just as the story was getting interesting, a new unnecessary H-scene happened. I managed to read through the H-scenes in Mizuki's route, but after that I skipped most of them. The sex takes so much time that the remaining story suffers. The characterizations and the overall storytelling was little weak. When most of your character interaction is sex, it's no wonder. Like I said before, I would have wanted to see other ways of seeking comfort in each other than sex. The story lacked good build up for the endings, they just kind of happened, so the emotional involvement wasn't there. That said, the final events in each route were the best YMK had to offer, at those points I actually enjoyed reading it. When their problems finally got out of control and the characters had to actually confront them, that's when the story became interesting. My favorite routes are Mizuki>Aeka/Nekoko Overall I consider Yume Miru Kusuri to be a pretty mediocre VN. Despite the problems it has, it's not all bad. The concept is good and there's some interesting ideas, but the execution doesn't work that well.
  15. Screenshots are nice and all, but I want to see the second trailer so bad...
  16. Monster Musume and Prison School (I feel like MonMusu is going to be a letdown compared to the manga, but I have high hopes for Prison School) I have no idea about the others and nothing strikes me as especially interesting. Maybe gangsta?
  17. Go team NHK! I rather watch a show about miserable hikikomori, than some random action or harem show. NHK seems refreshingly different and dark.
  18. My absolute favorite this season is Euphonium, but after that it gets difficult. Yamada, Oregairu and Arslan are all really enjoyable, so I can't really decide. I like Plastic Memories as well, but when I think what it could have been, watching the show leaves a slightly bad aftertaste.
  19. They tried to force too much of the "friendship is magic" in P4, and so it feels much more naive than 3. Like in P3 the characters battle with their own problems the whole game, unlike in 4 where problems were cleared in pretty much one dungeon. The bonds between characters felt stronger in P3, since they didn't focus only in the friendship aspect of their relationships. It helps that the character development was tied to the actual story. And P3 actually took the serious stuff seriously and didn't shy away from darker themes, where as P4 felt lighthearted all the time. I agree that most of the P4 milking is pretty bad, but the fighting games are actually good. ArkSys did good job making a solid fighting game, the persona fluff is just bonus to some people.
  20. Just finished Transistor. I don't remember why I waited for so long to play this game, even though I heard so much praise from my friends and I liked Bastion. Transistor was just as good as Bastion and I even liked the combat better. Any game that lets me stack all the debuffs and buffs for an extreme burst damage build is awesome. It was fun to play around with the different ability modules which can act as skills or upgrades, and the strategic mode allowed for exact and satisfying execution. The story was very subtle on it's presentation, very little was forced on your face, but you could find so much background information by digging around. I really like the tranquil atmosphere this kind of story telling creates. That and the awesome soundtrack, beautiful backgrounds and character art made it really enjoyable experience. And there was one small detail that made my day. There was one point where you could make robots dance awkwardly with your humming. You were never told you could do so, nor it had any impact on the game, but to me it was really cool. It made the game world feel just a little bit alive.
  21. It's basically over now. Steam sales aren't as exiting anymore, but I found some nice stuff. The stuff I grabbed was: Ys VI: Ark of Naphatism Napisthim Transistor Eden* And Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;birth 1 (I need to see with my own eyes what's the fuss about)
  22. FEAR is pretty fun. The enemy AI is as good as everybody said, you can't really sit around in one spot. It's kind of like closed combat Stalker. I really like running around the maze like stages, killing of isolated enemies and trying to not get caught. I like the thrill of the hunt. It's sad that the pistols don't really work against the armored enemies, running around with dual pistols was way too fun. I don't really like the horror elements. Not because the game is scary, but because it feels like they try too hard to make it scary and doesn't really work. The random flashbacks/delusions for example feel kind of cheesy. The few darker areas with visions were nice though, that was the kind of atmosphere I was expecting.
