  1. I disagree. Toji no miko is watchable trash as evidenced by the fact I'm watching it. Smartphone was completely pointless trash. Now if you want absolute garbage of recent times, something like handshakers takes the cake.
  2. Impressive. I got about 1.2 episodes in, and I thought I had strong intestinal fortitude for lame arse anime.
  3. If you do, tell us. We can arrange therapy.
  4. No, and I'd be pissed off that I bothered learning Japanese too.
  5. You know I'm on a dozen different forums, including being moderator on a few of them, and just about every freaking social medium on the planet, and yet this is the only place people wish me happy birthday simply from the forum data. Cheers everyone
  6. Thanks
  7. Thank you! Haha thanks. I'm so offended, hang on while I take out my dentures to take you on; I don't want to damage them.
  8. Get off your arse and watch the fucking show right now. Big spoiler, yes, but only about 1% of the plot.
  9. I'd say the opposite. I've had enough of new isekai, magic school, cute girls sol and so on that offer nothing. It's time to make some room for all the great series that desperately need sequels, continuation, and/or completion.
  10. A brilliant watch indeed. Makes me smile from start to finish. I even shed tears at times from overwhelming feelgoodness.
  11. Well I consider 12-13 episodes too short for a serious watch. I think optimal is around 50 episodes to tell a great story, and to tell a shorter story with impact more like half that.
  12. Ryuou didn't work for me at all. It seems to only be about the rori cuteness and very little convincing about the sport which doesn't work for me on any level. On the other hand if you want to watch a sport anime about an obscure sport you know nothing about and are likely to never play but will get you actually involved in the sport, and is an exceptional watch, Chihayafuru is brilliant.
  13. Watching Polar Bear Cafe with my wife. A harmless watch, one of those soothing anime genres with some amusing characters, very gradual flow in story amongst a bunch of animals and some humans, just animal takes on slice of life and puns and character interactions. Many people love it, and the kids occasionally are happy to drop everything and watch an episode or two with us. It's decent enough but hardly riveting watching.
  14. So the theme material of yuru camp should be boring me to tears yet I find myself grinning throughout and occasionally laughing. What a fun harmless show.
  15. I didn't per se, I just liked the show mostly. I didn't like the protagonist because all did was shout the whole time, but the rest was solid. As I said, you put me on the spot and I had to put my money where my mouth was; it was meant as a throwaway comment Saekano was more S2.
  16. Geez talk about being put on the spot. Um, offhand in recent times I can only think of kiznaiver, planetarian, sakurasou no pet na kanojo and saekano?
  17. It's a bit like the hype train that surrounded mahoutsukai no yome but that has more life to it and has some soul at least which makes it an above average watch, but not awesome. Evergarden just seems like a flashy production of something quite flat by comparison - and while portraying an emotionless character may have something to do with it, other works have done this in the past with great emotional effect.
  18. When I've collected all the inside/outside CGs.
  19. Not really. It's very pretty but it's not really striking any chords with me. Seems to be riding on hype and production values rather than anything much to me, but mine would be an unpopular opinion.
  20. Been a moderator on 5 different forums in the last 25 years and all I can say is DON'T DO IT! Still trying to give up my busiest one but I can't
  21. Karakai jouzu no Takagi san I should find Takagi cute for the cute things she does but her teasing - which is the premise of the romance and story - is actually fucking annoying and the protagonist is too much of a dweeb so I'm not sure I can put up with it much more :\
