    Ahaha, I'm going to be a party pooper and break the monotony. Clannad, Little Busters, Ever 17, and Sharin no Kuni are all examples of VNs I thought were dreadfully overrated. The first 3 examples all suffered from horrendously bloated writing.

    Pffft, Bats is the original and still the best (some sort of contest will need to be set up XD) EDIT: A fight to the death with some old socks maybe. It's not relevant to being a tsun, but it'd be hella funny.

    Dating Sims are games where you increase your stats to get certain girls. Romance Visual Novels are games where you choose different paths in the story to get certain girls. If what you want is a romance visual novel, then you should look at the pinned thread "50 translated VNs to read before you die" and read the ones which focus on romance. If what you want is a dating sim, you'll have to delve into the OELVN scene (English dev scene - Shira Oka, Roommates, etc) because hardly any of them get translated.

    Will DEFINITELY be reading/buying your stuff now :3 Sounds cool. However it may be expensive (or require a lot of dev time) without lengthening the actual story, so it would depend on how it's done.

    Heh, it’s definitely not advised. Mainly because if your first book/VN doesn’t sell, and you’re already half-way through developing/writing part 2 then you’re in a spot of bother. It’s the same advice given to people trying to get their book published, generally speaking if you send your novel to a publisher it could take a good half a year to come back. And if it doesn’t sell to the first place you send it, you end up “doing the rounds.” While that’s going on, you’re busy writing your next novel. It would be a big fat waste of a year or more if the first book never sold and you spent all that time writing part 2. That being said some people like to write looong stories

    Ahahaha, I'm probably the one one who likes their stories in a trilogy (hangover from my fantasy novel roots XD)

    Prose and art would be the most important things, imo. They are the two fundamental parts of a VN. I would say "plot" but you can tell a good story without a good plot, and I would say "characters" but you can also tell a good story without good characters. I'll say "style" instead. Welcome to Fuwa! As an OELVN fan I eagerly await your future game :3

    Maybe if they had developed the game themselves, like you would expect a developer to do when it involves their signature series possibly expanding in very lucrative ways, it wouldn't have bombed as hard as it did... I'm gonna guess Fallout 4 as well.

    The second meaning wouldn't make any sense (3 nouns stuck together.) It'd be sticking a "naughty" word in the script purely for the sake of having a naughty word there, which would make the translators seem like a bunch of giggling teenagers really. What would the naughty definition of a "temple cum throne room" be?
