Eh, a massive let-down Just another boring rant by one of the many spoilt, entitled kids on the internet. I barely pay attention to those anymore. Next please!

Ah the competition isn't closed yet, I'm gonna break up this picture fest by answering your question with a boring poem. One that I'll write at the last minute cause I'm lazy

Pffft I very much doubt that Omni, although I AM looking forward to seeing you complete a project some day. I've been keeping an eye on your stuff ever since the Jupiter Knot debacle. I should point out that I'm a massive isometric RPG fan, and have been part of a community of massive isometric RPG fans for more than a decade (RPGCodex.) So I'll be looking forward to your RPG. Pffft, yeah right . Put me down as a last resort. I'm a little busy but I'm willing to help if you can't find anybody else.

Whoa! Impressive! How did you do that? Teach me to make my votes useless too XD

Such a tough choice ... I'll have to vote for the last one though :3

You won't find any disagreement from me. Turn-based strategy games are relatively rare, so it's really heartening to find these sorts of games in places you'd never expect. And the gameplay in their games are SOLID. So much so that Sengoku Rance is the only Japanese game named in the top 30 of RPGCodex's top strategy games of all time [1] (RPGCodex being a forum which values tight gameplay above anything else.) I skip most H-scenes in visual novels so I think it's a good idea.

What Video Games Are You Playing Right Now?
Darklord Rooke replied to solidbatman's topic in Gaming Talk
Being an Australian sports enthusiast and a fan of video game sims/RPGs, I've always been a bit dismayed to see the lack of quality sport games that focus on Australian sports. Cricket, rugby league, AFL, all these games are incredibly sub-par. I DO play Tiger Woods and Top Spin, but I wanted something different. So in desperation I recently picked up MLB: The Show 2013, rationalising that baseball is similar to cricket, and I don't regret my decision. It's freaking fantastic. After figuring out what the stats all mean, I've made a pitcher with a 4-S fastball, a change up, and a slider, upped the difficulty to veteran, slapped the pitching interface on "meter" and have been tearing up in the double-A leagues. I can't hit a single ball when I'm called in to bat, but I'm tearing up with pitching. The goals suck though. Should have got the 2014 edition because I just bombed my first set of goals.., in a big, BIG way But I'm hooked. So very hooked. I wonder what the career mode for NBA 2K14 is like, or Fifa... -
Quick question, are you looking for otomes or VNs with female protagonists? Your post is a little unclear in this regard. If what you want is a good VN with a female protagonist, then you should definitely check out “Shikkoku no Sharnoth” which is fantastic. It’s a cracking good story, though you should get the Fullvoice Reborn edition - which makes the minigame optional (some people found it tedious.) Hakuoki has a decent narrative, consistent and not over the top characters, and … hot pretty-boys you can romance . You’ll like it if you like all of those attributes.

New horror mystery VN: Train of Afterlife
Darklord Rooke replied to grim_tales1's topic in Visual Novel Talk
Nah that's X-Note, a game set in the same world as Area X https://vndb.org/v6915 (X-Note) https://vndb.org/v9435 (Area X) Here's a review of Area X ( http://otome-jikan.net/2013/06/21/review-area-x/ ) ... I don't know whether it contains any spoilers though, so be careful. -

https://vndb.org/v9427 Area X is probably Zeiva's best game, it's also much longer than Train of Afterlife -
One of my sister’s favourite authors, she’d definitely agree with you

It's mostly because there's not many women in the gaming industry. There's some pretty decent modern romance fiction being written also, however the critically acclaimed thinker's novels (like Jane Austin's stuff) aren't usually filed under romance, usually because the romance is only a part of what the story is about. Heh, I bet you wouldn't know that Nora Roberts writes some highly acclaimed futuristic police procedurals under a different pen-name, there's romance in those stories also but they're filed under "mystery".

I'm going to second this opinion, I chucked it about half an hour in. I can't remember my specific complaints but I do remember thinking the writing was pretty average. And I'm pretty sure it wasn't the translation either, I think it was the writing that was just... lacking.

This is going to get very confusing *glares at Bats* -
http://www.englishotomegames.net/post/105938963066/freak-quency-release-date-windows-mac-os It's a free game so expect a rough experience, and yes, it does feel a bit like Persona. Anyway I'm sure some people in the fandom will enjoy this game, despite it being a bit rough around the edges. 50 translated VNs you should read before you die
Darklord Rooke replied to Kaguya's topic in Recommendations
Please do. Then afterwards, please pepper Kaguya with reviews filled with gushing praise and overflowing with emotion. Send them with such frequency, that in the end Kaguya will cave just to get you to stop unwittingly be moved by your words and agree to continue playing the series post-haste. -
*Snort* hiveminds are boring. Variety is the spice of life. Good times, my friend Tragic, how utterly tragic. No you don't!

Nodame Cantabile is one of the best anime of the decade :3

You tease! >:c I find discussions about substance many times more interesting than spamming meaningless stuff in random rice topics. So yeah it's interesting. It gives you insight into people, it may reveal some facts and information you didn't know etc etc. I wish there was more serious discussions on the boards actually, Fuwanovel's a pretty superficial place at the moment
