I would suggest the word developer? The original post didn't seem to include OELVNs because the job descriptions mostly apply to the translation process. In other words Translators, Editors, Image Editors and Hackers are all jobs which relate to fan-tls. Their OELVN equivalent would be Writers, artists, and programmers but only VN-artists were included in the original post. I suppose it made things confusing.

In that reddit thread Diamon linked to, Dovac implied published OELVNs would undergo a more rigorous quality checking procedure in the future. Checking the screenshots for this game I either remember Sakura Spirit having better writing than it did, or that statement was a big fat lie. Because I can't see much difference in the quality of writing going from Sakura Spirit to Sakura Angels.

Not really, unless you mean pretty standard amateurish behaviour. Basically it comes down to inexperience and naivety. This is why you shouldn't donate to kickstarters unless they have an experienced team with an active demo. All Dischan had done was 2 short visual novels, Dysfunctional Systems arguably overhyped purely on the basis of the art. And they lost money on Dysfunctional Systems because of, according to them, poor business practices. Meh I'm old fashioned, I think it's morally questionable to take risks using money people donated in good faith.

The Member's Lounge was made for users to share experiences with one another, it's one of the ways people become closer and one of the ways people build friendships. True this is an uncomfortable topic but life is sometimes not comfortable. Sometimes it's raw, and painful, and messy. Posting only positive, meaningless stuff is a decent way to build a sterile and superficial community. My condolences Rin, I hope 2015 goes better for you.

An anime? Half the appeal of Rance is the gameplay, this is probably one of the WORST VNs to adapt.
