  1. It's not "Amane Mochizuki", it's "Mochizuki Amane" (first name "Amane" and last name "Mochizuki"). With Suzuha, "Amane" is a last name. So considering you can have it both as a first name or last name, chances increase and hence you end up seeing that name a lot. When I started playing VNs, I saw the name "Yuuji" in protags a lot. Most uncommon name I've seen is "Amamiya Mitsuki" from Period.
  2. About Konosora, it's mostly okay, but not good by any stretch. Definitely readable, I only miss the H. Will we be getting that too? That's why I say there are probably worse things than Moenovel's Konosora. Anyway, I'm not a native speaker. And about reading it now... I just felt like it.
  3. I'm finishing the Moenovel-butchered Konosora, and from what I've seen, Libra of the Vampire Princess is the new Konosora, it seems far worse.
  4. Do you think this will be another case like Mikandi?
  5. Shira Oka? Sengoku Rance...? I recommend Purino Party, it's the same style of game but probably not as enjoyable.
  6. You could, you know, start frequenting this community, and maybe in the future you can recruit the companions you need to produce your novel, I'm sure there's very talented people here. For example, I've seen several introductions by composers. That provided your story is actually good (I don't know) and you manage to convince people to work with you.
  7. Any news on a future adult patch? Apparently plebs who bought it on Steam without proper knowledge of the situation are demanding it. All that pee's gonna go to waste...
  8. I recommend Steins;Gate's Steam version, you'll get the full enjoyment from the game and won't miss anything. As far as I could tell from the Japanese audio, the game is decently translated. Plus it doesn't have that many tricky Japanese references, to holidays or customs for example. But it has a lot of scientific, specialised and meme terms, so it has a term appendix too.
  9. Angel Beats was my first approach to Key, and while the "ghost" high school is similar I couldn't foreshadow anything from the latter work's plot.
  10. Clannad has been heavily discounted in the last Steam sale, so look forward to Christmas sale.
  11. Nah don't worry, next time just use PM.
  12. DharmaFreedom, if you want to read Winterfury's opinion just wait for it, and don't tangle with other people. I know the primary response when feeling offended is to retaliate, but in a great number of cases letting go is better.
  13. The VNs I've enjoyed the most have a good story, or at least one that appeals to me. Also the tempo and setup are important; I loved VLR and was hooked to it until I finished it. That doesn't preclude romance or even porn; I found Hoshimemo very decent both in terms of porn and love story. However, I've not tried nukiges yet (the most close would be Wanko to Kurasou and I cringed); let's see when I read Nekopara. For me, sadly good porn can't replace a good story. But if the story is decent and the porn is too, then it's neat.
  14. That's great
  15. Oh my gawd, Divi Dead... that's nice.
  16. I just want to say that most heroines depicted in eroge are students ranging from 15-16 to 18, and so, most of them are underaged by most countries' standards.
  17. It depends, and it depends who's gonna buy your game. Some things are basic Japanese fan* lingo, where other are more obscure, yes (like spreading water in the temples, as seen in Hoshimemo, it's a given and a very common custom, but I never noticed it before. I know this is not a translatable term but a custom, but it got addressed in that game properly). After decades of repeating the same old and used tropes, it's easy to become familiar not with Japan, but with Japanese clichés. I admit that when they reference Japanese comedians or famous people, like in some Key works such as Clannad, the best weeb can get lost. * weeb or regular fan, what you like.
  18. I like short titles to spend a weekend with. Things like Stay Stay DPRK, Season of 12 colors (not bought yet), A butterfly in the district of dreams (same), or d2b vs. Deardrops (played Kira Kira and DD, so I'll play it soon, here's hoping it doesn't disappoint me, though not asking much of it).
  19. Guess I'll try Senren Banka as my third Yuzusoft novel (but only with the porn included). I mean, it's the tried and tested. Nanairo doesn't look that interesting. Still no Hatsusaku we'll need some more years.
  20. Don't see anything interesting, save Koropokkuru, but then I'm a pleb. Dear Sekai in Heaven, please save us all.
  21. Seems you're joking, because every VN fan with a pedigree hates Sakura games with a passion. Stay stay DPRK is better than Sakura games. Nekopara is vastly superior while filling the same niche I guess.
  22. New releases I guess... a Sekai Project Humble Bundle, whose lower tier wasn't that interesting... Steam sales... the typical.
  23. I'm all up for Astral Air and Walküre Romanze. Still waiting for goodies such as Hatsusaku, 12 Riven, Natsu no Kusari and Tenkiame... and as for Kud Wafter I hope Key commiserates us and brings it some time. I'll buy Little Busters for that.
  24. Hmmm, true. Chrono Clock is released by Sekai. Got it mistaken with something else. Sometimes all these eroge are labyrinthine.
  25. I just said that Mikandi is comparable to MoeNovel, in their debut and probably in works to come. Hope they learn what they can from this massive train wreck.
