  1. Isn't that the same, though? At least in Rewrite, the heroines are an actual part of the underlying plot that no one can guess at the start of the game. Yet, take this with all caution, as I've only completed one route, I have the game figured out however.
  2. Rewrite IS a high school story about adolescents and their relationships, and it mingles horribly with the substrate of dark organizations, ecology, end of the world, and secret agents. I think they went for too much and failed horribly on the mark. As for the romance, the routes consist of hooking with your love interest of choice, so there is actually romance, but it's quickly overlapped with the actual plot.
  3. I sent you a private message with a solution. Better not to put it here on display since people are sensitive about piracy. As for the save file, since it can't be considered piracy, follow the links here: http://www.hongfire.com/forum/forum/hentai-lair/hentai-game-discussion/395132-hoshizora-no-memoria-save-data
  4. I only know about School Days, but, what's realistic about a battalion of girls fawning over an average, self-insert guy like Makoto? The relationships may be realistic (but it relies heavily on gimmicky drama), but this fact, common to the vast majority of VNs isn't.
  5. I must really be a noob, since I've been playing football managers (in the broad sense) since 1996, and I can resist Football Manager (proper)'s allure. I play some matches and then I have enough and turn off the game. The prospect of being the top powerful manager of all time, and bringing your squad from rags to riches is an enticing one, though. Currently training Cameroon national team in 2021 and winning most games by at least 3 goal margin. We'll see if I can win something, I finished 2nd on Africa Cup.
  6. Well, YMMV. But I like Key character's eyes. And the art style has consistenly improved with the years. Can't say the same of their scenario, general writing, and overall concepts.

The "problem" with School Days is that they put in the most extreme ending. It was a bold decision though, and it made the anime unique yet disturbing. But, the anime serves just as a teaser, if you want the full course you go get the visual novel. Amagami's adaptation was more full-fledged since they covered all heroines (even if some drew the short straw, isn't it Rihoko?). I'm dying to play the game.
  8. Yup, I downloaded the demo of Harvest December on 3DS eshop, but it didn't fulfil my expectations. Maybe will play someday.
  9. Fall as a studio? Well, when I play Harmonia, we'll see. Certainly the direction they took with Rewrite first, then Charlotte, is bad. But in all honesty, it all began with Angel Beats. Massively overhyped and overrated animu with the only good drama being (for me) Yui's chapter and the best character by far was Tenshi. I freaking hated Yurippe with a passion.
  10. Well, know what, I agree. Rewrite has all the bad of Key without the good. So, probably not their best game. What kills me here is the writing: lots of stupid scenes, spineless humour, and a tremendous amount of clutter just to get to the good parts. Games like Little Busters also suffer from this, but at least the good outweighs the bad. Ironically, the thing that killed me was Lucia's route, that I played first. At first, I liked the character, at the end, I kinda hated her. She's very immature for a person with her responsibilities, and And with Chihaya's route I've stopped playing for months. It's just... dull, boring, all the epithets that you will. I consider myself a Key fan, as I've played most of their games and will continue doing so, but I see Rewrite as a major train wreck, much like Charlotte, another epic fail. What's sad is that the underlying story about mankind and Earth has a strong appeal; but it's handled very poorly, from what I've seen, and it was done better by X/1999, even if it never got an ending due to publisher hell. I still plan to finish the game someday.
  11. When I registered on Fuwa this February, I was fresh from watching Steins;Gate (I'll explain it another time). At first, with the obnoxious Mayuri, I thought that S;G was gonna be otaku pandering trash, but soon enough I recognised my mistake. I chose a gentler version of the nick since I wanted to be pretty mild-mannered on the forums and chat. Consider my surprise when I met another person by the nick of Kurisu-chan. He's my biggest pal on Fuwa
  12. I did some research myself and I found it. It only has an "interesting" scene though. Anime is called "Youjuu Kyoushitsu Gaiden" and is old as frak. I'll leave it here for future reference
  13. After the Konosora fiasco, I suggest everyone they massively boycott Moenovel's further attempts. Elsewise, you're promoting censure and VN butchering. Let them learn their lesson.
  14. Well... if you're going with something 90s, that's probably 16-bit, so you'd need extra emulation, for example with DOSBox, then applying the patch, if any. If you're going with a novel from 2010 on, there should be no issue.
  15. An anime. Thanks for the help!
  16. You aced it :3
  17. Well, you see... Some years ago, not earlier than 2011, I came upon a series of hentai featuring... hmmm... you know... watersports. It had a heavy aztec/maya/whatever feel, happening inside American Indian pyramids and whatnot. For those of you into this, it's probably an easy guess. I'd like to know the title, since it was somewhat long (or at least I remember so). Thanks!
  18. Hi bloke, I'm 33 and I've been drawn into the geeky side of life since my early years, with quite some help from my beloved brother. I guess that if I hadn't turned out this way, I'd have become a jock or something. Oh, and allow me this commentary: Game of Thrones has been derailed and probably won't ever have an ending anytime soon, it has turned into a bill printer for Mr. Martin. And that's sad. Just my opinion.
  19. Haha, wrong, nobody can guess it, since my opinion on this novel deviates somewhat from the norm (I'm not turning into Vorathiel, though; I can still appreciate some good novels).
  20. This is a really interesting plot, I'm betting it's an untranslated VN? It piqued my interest! Now: A novel with lots of attempted drama, alleged lessons about life, amidst an ocean of porn scenes. Oh, and the heroines kinda suck.
  21. Depends on: - Your age (I learned some Japanese when I got into anime, at age 16, and then it's probably easier) - The time you can allocate to learning - How much you love the medium (if you're really passionate about visual novels, why not? Don't wargames players learn to paint and decorate their models? Don't chess players learn every minor aspect of their game? Don't music players do so, or martial artists?) I think there's just this kind of people who're so jaded they blame others for doing what they like. There's nothing wrong with devoting yourself to something you love; it's even good for you. I'd say, even fetishes should be tried if we find them really pleasurable, as long as your partner(s) are okay with it and you're not harming anyone. Fetishes aside, how harmful can a hobby be? If anything, the most hateful people are the ones who preach the rest what they have to do and what they have to think. Oh, and over here there's the "retired people" over 65 (now 67, I guess) to whom the State passes a pension, so them, not being working, have a lot of time on their hands. They spend their excess time doing things they could never do while they were slaving away working, such as traveling or so. That's an example people can do anything at any age. You only need a working brain and passion for learning. I'd love to go to Japan, Germany, Denmark or wherever if I have the chance when I retire. Or maybe... yes, learn Japanese, or German, or Danish.
  22. Do fictional island nations that were never a part of Russia IRL count?
  23. I'd play Steins;Gate Zero, Walküre Romanze and If My Heart Had Wings, but that's only what I'd do (I plan to play myself Konosora Summer 2017, since it's a novel set in summer).
  24. I wouldn't put my eggs on the press' basket. They suck. And they lie.
  25. Likewise, we in Spain find most Central and Southern American accents disagreaable. What's stupid is this whole conversation and topic (about accents of Spanish), however. Every language, if spoken in two areas separated by a wide gap, evolves differently. There's nothing stupid about that.
