  1. - The kitsune one (seems moe enough to end up in the West) - Amagami (coming our way) - 12 Riven (someday either in Steam or in some publisher like... Jast?)
  2. The artist isn't appointed to draw the game if the makers don't feel at ease with the art style (like Zero Escape series' progressive slide towards adultness and... gore), so we can say Littlewitch is a loli company (even though, in Period, all girls are adolescents in high school, you even have an adult but... hey... she looks underdeveloped. *Sigh*). However, I wasn't talking about a 16 girl looking younger (like 13), but about that couple of characters undergoing a severe lolification in the course of their routes, they look 8, I swear. That thing irks me more than DFC, which I find pretty tame.
  3. Oh, sorry to spoil you, I thought you had already been there as the deed happens early in her route, I think. I was also baffled by the other girl's lolification, and felt it was completely gratuituous. I figure the director or the writer must really love lolis, or maybe Littlewitch as a whole. At least the rest of the girls do look more or less their age (if you substract the DFC) At least
  4. Well, if you like
  5. Only anime? I want to watch the second The Hobbit movie, but that's just me. Also I wholeheartedly recommend Zootopia, it's not anime but at least it's Disney as you (kinda) asked. And it's real good. But, it's furry. You can also give the Evangelion movies a whirl. I have to watch from the second one on, too.
  6. Yes, that's the one I'm talking about.
  7. In truth there's just a couple of really bad routes in the game, of which Miyu's stands out like a sore thumb. True boredom, I warn you. Also I found the girl unlikeable and moe (but that's the point I guess). The other one is Yukina, which really desecrates this character, who was really great in the common route. Koto (the nurse an sister to Aoi) isn't even bad, it's just boring and shorter than the rest, it tells little and seems to be thrown in just because. Kohane could have been way better, instead it's an intrigue route that for me was a letdown, since I came with high expectations (I liked the scenes in the storehouse a lot).
  8. A translation by Mangagamer, and a subsequent (paid & legal) digital download would suffice. Just to give an example, I recall nothing wrong with Deardrops' TL, it even had term notes.
  9. I like Euphoria for the underlying plot... you know. Still, I'm not wholly opposed to the rape thing -but not my favourite scenario either. I just wanna try this eroge sometime. Of course I'm no rapist, but having a look at it could be interesting. Enjoyable... we'll see.
  10. Well, as I'm enjoying Euphoria now (not the sexual content though), I think I would like this other game by Clockup: https://vndb.org/v18806 It was just released this year so of course it won't be translated, but I want to know if someone somehow is trying to do so. Also in the rare event that some company plans to release it in the West, that should go in this thread too. To avoid this kind of thing I'm planning to learn Kanji and grammar, but I don't know when I can pull it off, nor when I'll achieve a good enough level.
  11. Tell me which routes you have read or you plan to, and then I can help. In truth, after finishing the game after long months, I feel overjoyed and relieved. But looking back, it's not that bad. Thing is, like in any game with a lot of routes, route quality varies wildly. I enjoyed most Tsuzumi (strange girl with a secret), Rin (library girl who thinks you're a pervert), Kohane (angel girl, it was just okay in truth) and Asahi (main route, drama). I disliked very much Yukina (student council prez), the class rep (damn, I don't even recall her name) and Koto (nurse, brief filler route). Aoi (tomboy) was alright.
  12. Apparently Ajin originates from a manga whose creator wrote the first volume and then left the task to the artist.
  13. I like SAO's aesthetics, plus I've only watched like 1 episode But Kirito seems universally flakked.
  14. Hope he learned his lesson with SnW. Moe + war = FAIL. Oh and SnW was beautiful and technically great but at the same time silly and disappointing.
  15. If it's not as bad as Sora no Woto, I'm in.
  16. Well, hype is a factor -S;G Z on Steam will probably happen 2017, if at all. That other way he can already get it. It's the bird in the hand. Happy Christmas guaranteed -provided you get a decent understanding of the text.
  17. For me, innovation is not doing experimental stuff, it's doing a work so seminal and awesome that everyone in the same genre copies you for decades on end. But this happens in lots of media.
  18. And yes, I would like to go inside Holo.
  19. I said especifically that the problem is a lack of innovation. Blockbusters were never affected by this, since they had large budgets, employed tried and tested professionals, and had attractive premises (and, above all, what they proposed was unique or never done). This means the inferior, filler anime is almost always generic sample #1923124141 or even meme-fueled rides for the lulz like Nyaruko-chan. Maybe this is changing but I don't know. Judging by the anime sneak peek charts each season it's not. But hey, I was the man who dismissed Steins;Gate's plot as "ridiculous" in the corresponding chart.
  20. I know this is a VN forum, but why not ask in some other forums? Like Gamefaqs or some gaming sites. Hope it helps!
  21. Either more anime is made today or not. I don't have conclusive data, but I think there's more "shovelware" today. Also, remember one true thing: older anime had very long seasons (like Ranma), and most shows were 26 or 52 chapters in length. So, if the show was any good, you could enjoy it longer. And most shows didn't get cancelled overnight. My opinion is, precisely, that before it was more of an artisan's work and there was less money around, so if you were to create an anime, you had to be sure it would be good. It's worth noting that good anime (as in, good blockbusters) keeps happening. Such as Madoka Magica (hey, an original). My point is there's more casual stuff you can pass on with no qualms than in the era before 2000. Enjoyable anime... now that's a subjective definition, but people can enjoy anime from any era, possibly. I enjoyed Angel Beats even though I don't rate it too high, since the show had a lot of bright and dark sides.
  22. I'm old enough to remember Rizelmine (but I never watched that). Or maybe Mahoromatic, done by Gainax for more lulz. @Jun Inoue You didn't quite get it. Anime isn't great just because it's released directly to TV. Most old series TV-original had also ample budgets, with the usual culprit (Sunrise: Cowboy Bebop, Escaflowne; Gainax: Nadia, Evangelion). Sunrise and Gainax were the Studio Ghibli for 90's TV anime. Adaptations such as FMA or S;G are great just because the original material also is.
