Visual Novel Aer—upgrade blog to a custom design?
Tay replied to a topic in Fan Translation Discussion
We're working on this. Been going back and forth with wordpress for a while. Stay tuned for more info. -
Welcome! Great to have you with us. Katawa Shoujo... that was my first game as well, and I loved it. I remember really well the frustration of trying to google "Games like Katawa Shoujo" and finding visual novels. My search, like yours, ultimately led me here, and I'm forever grateful for it. This is a great community, and we hope you have fun. With your experience playing VNs, do you have a favorite yet?

Working on it. So strange! -
Welcome! We're happy to have you. This post caught me between holiday celebrations, so I may have to add more later, but in any case I'm glad you decided to start posting, and happy holidays!

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!

Welcome! You have a way of autobiographical writing that is easy and entertaining to read. Very interesting stuff : ). I've spent some time in the CR. I'd like to talk about it sometime. I'm also interested in how you make a living on the internet, lol. In any case, welcome to Fuwanovel! We're happy to have you. Thanks, already, for some of the great content you've added. I hope you feel welcome, and already feel a part of the magic : ).

Welcome Kygrykhon! I have a lot to say, and I'll try and say it as quickly as possible: #1) For being so new to the forums, you've filled it with great content and been very welcoming to other new members. Thanks for being awesome. #2) VN creation is a hard and lonely and sad and expensive and thrilling path. Don't give up! Thanks for your awesome PMs about the plot contest : ) #3) Welcome!

Welcome! I've only vaguely heard of the Galaxy Angel series, and so this topic has led me on a wild google/wikipedia hunt. : ) We're always happy to have new people join us, and it looks like you'll bring a lot to the community. So, again: Welcome to Fuwanovel, thank you, and see you around the forums!

Welcome! We're happy to have you! Law... that's a daring choice. Have an idea of what kind of law you're interested in?

This is one of the funniest posts I've read in ages. +458 XP to you, good sir : )

Alice! Welcome! Fuwanovel is a great site for finding games, and the forum is filled with extremely-nice people. I've been going through all of the "welcome" posts on the forum today, and I've had warm-fuzzy thoughts watching the volume of welcome and embracing comments added. There are a lot of posts on this thread, and so I hope you feel really welcome : ). That said, we're always lucky to have good people join our community, and so thank you. One thought about Aaeru's thoughts of blogging - We're always looking for people to post commentary on the games they're playing/played. Graphics skills can go a long way with that, too : ). In any case, we'll look forward to seeing you around the forums. : )

Welcome! I think Type-Moon fans are, on the whole, some of the nicest people in the universe. We're happy to have you, and hope you already feel a part of the community!
-
Welcome! I'll echo what everybody else has said: Fuwanovel is awesome, and the forums are filled with friendly, passionate people. I consider myself very lucky to have found it, and I'm very happy that you have as well. : ) Every community is made better by the addition of good people. Is your username based at all on Fate/Stay Night? If not, I highly recommend that one : )
-
Welcome! Fate/Stay Night was my 2nd visual novel, and it blew me away. The characters are memorable and rich, the story is well-paced, and the setting is richly presented. It's a delight to read. I recently started re-watching the Fate/Zero prequel-anime to the series. It's amazing. I'd recommend you wait to watch it until after you finish the VN, but when that day comes you'll be in for a treat : ).
-
Welcome to the site! We're happy to have you, and your avatar is certainly one of the greats on here. : ) I'm surprised you consider yourself new-ish to VNs after reading so many! I'm happy whenever I see great people falling in love with VNs, though, and joining our community. Thanks again, and welcome.

Welcome! I've had a big smile on my face as I've read this post. So much female community-ing. It's a beautiful thing. As a male, and as a recent watcher of the hilarious OreImo, I've often laughed at the VN community and hear Kuroneko's voice saying, "Why are there so many grown men here?" : ) We're super glad to have you here, and hope you feel a part of the Fuwanovel magic.

A Shout Out to All who can Hear Me! (or at least read this ^^)

Hey, welcome! It's great to have you here. I'm sorry that I haven't made it around this part of the forums to welcome all the great, new faces. The VNs you mentioned have some of my very favorites: G Senjou is truly epic (although recent conversations on this forum with Ryoji have helped me say so with a more cautious air), Katawa Shoujo is an all-time favorite (10/10 on VNDB), and Sharin no Kuni is amazing. I remember playing Sharin no Kuni and thinking, "This is a REALLY strange game" for the first few hours, but once you get used to the protagonist it's really fun. The ending is epic, shocking, and wonderful. So of those you've played, do you have a favorite? -
Welcome! We're really glad to have you! I'm sorry that it's taken me so long to get around and post here, but life (and fuwanovel behind-the-scenes responsibilities) have been limiting my forum time. The two visual novels you mentioned are awesome. I'm in the middle of Ever 17 right now. I'm interested in other VNs you may have played. Have a favorite?

Araina, If you've got people willing to do the things mentioned above, and translators are all you lack, I may just be able to help you : ). Please PM me or find me on IRC and send me the details of the group willing to help and anything they stipulated.

I tried this on an old XP machine and it worked. I hope this will solve the problem for you!

Great idea. The Fuwanovel coders have been busy with school, so hopefully with holiday breaks we'll see some movement on this and other priorities Aaeru has posted. The search-by-letter feature is oft-requested and would be really great to have.
-
This is certainly an interesting suggestion. Our recent experiment to break the site up into smaller bits was positively received by many users, but ultimately Aaeru felt that until the site had a wider contributing base, it would be best to hold off any segregation. When she gets back, I'm sure she'll consider the idea, but it may be a little while before it's implemented.

Sept. Crazy Idea - PAID/PRIZED REQUESTS FOR CONTENT
Tay replied to Tay's topic in General Discussion
Chiyoko, There are no requirements! I'm just looking for a great plot to use for this app. There've been several submissions so far (all by PM), and several of those have come from relative VN-newbies. As long as your brain can come up with it, it's fair game : ). If you decide to submit a plot idea as a team, then yes -- you'll be responsible for splitting the loot as you see fit. For now it'll just be a lump sum. If you're referring to actually WRITING the visual novel once the plot has been chosen, then it's a different story and I'll post more details once the plot has been decided upon. -
For those interested, the PDF Fuwanovel Visual Novel Inventory has been updated! Compiled as of 12/12/12. Click on the image or link at the top of the first page of this thread for the file.

Awesome. Yeah, I watched both on Crunchyroll (ps: If you're interested in sitting down and finishing the series, I can send you guest-pass codes which let you watch for a few days and you can finish them). Both season 1. I'm totally interested in watching Season 2 of Seitokai, but I don't know where to watch it! It's not on Crunchyroll. Is it being streamed, or is it fan translated?
