  1. I'm only looking forward to 10 & 11. The rest is of little to no significance.
  2. Just finished watching whole LL. All the feels.
  3. TL team is not giving a fuck. In other words, project is stalled indefinitely; that's official news. Unofficially, they are slacking and couldn't give a damn whether they will ever finish it, or not. This vn has been in TL for ages and nothing tells it will get finished anytime soon, if ever.
  4. Considering the very best releases (which are typically post-air BD's) sell in ammounts of 15-30k at most, the fact a game is being played by millions of fans all around the globe must be an incredible feeling for the whole dev team. I bet the game is quite profitable as well, not to mention the maintenance costs are ridiculously low compared to other mmo games. In other words, I can safely assume LL:SIF is a very succesful mobile game.
  5. It's not about LL:SIF; the game is just fine, when it comes to hardware usage, and requirements are preety low for an app which makes use of hardware acceleration for texture scaling/rotation. If you feel the game works sluggish and not responsive enough, your systems might be the cause; either you have way too many power consuming apps running in the background, or your system might be too bloated and requires a cleaning. In most cases low ammounts of available RAM on the fly cause applications to either slow down or lag considerably; google's services running in the background are another culrpit, especially the auto updater. Every time you turn on the wifi or connect to the net, auto updater checks for application updates and starts to update them if anything is available; unless you turned that off and have a really powerful hardware, updater causes considerable lags within already working applications. My dualcore Qualcomm MSM8225 is more than enough to handle almost every single game well with my screen resolution, but google's updating services often cause lags if LL:SIF is already running. I typically give the phone a minute before I start playing, so it can do the updating peacefully. On the other hand, I'm really interested what are the borderline requirements for the game to run decent enough to play it with ease; I have my old LG GT540; might as well root it for an 2.3 update and check how well LL:SIF performs on that old 600mhz cpu.
  6. Catching up with older songs, one after another. Meh. Also, having a rain of useless Hanayo rares. At least I'm making a steady progress with leveling/idolizing the rest. Like with every far-eastern ported game, we're far behind with updates. All those new cards...
  7. Member of the month tab?
  8. Moderate the forums. Isn't it obvious?
  9. It's not worth to discard members for the gold, considering you get a lot of it from the song rewards and events. Since the game has an album with rewards for clearing out consecutive achivements, it's better to level up normals first, and then use them as leveling fodder for your R/SR/UR cards. Also, be sure to level your cards with appropriate color fodder; it seems the experience gain is much higher when you use fodder of the same type as the card you're leveling up.
  10. I've sent you a request Mine too. I completely forgot about that bunch of maxed out normals I had in my deck, lying around uselessly. I somehow managed to almost max out all the new cards with them, though now I'm running out of gold, haha.
  11. No panda Nico for me... at least for now. I did the 10+1 draw already. I never expected it to turn out that good! I've not only managed to grab two UR's, but another SR Umi from the previous event and a bunch of rares that allowed me to idolize some of the older cards. I got UR Hanayo from that event prize ticket, haha. Leveling up all these new cards will be a pain in the ass, though; not to even mention the previous ones that got idolized.
  12. Revive old threads; don't start new ones. Both new and existing users should be advised to not start new threads, unless completely necessary and properly use forum's search functions. There's no excuse for unnecessary forum cluttering.
  13. I gave up in the beggining; all I wanted was to get my Nico. Now I'm hoping I'll at least manage to stay in 4k and get the ticket as well.
  14. Not gonna even bother. I'm barely FC'ing last of the hard songs on my current list and haven't even FC'ed Wild Stars and Soldier Game yet. On the other hand I FC'ed Wonderful Rush with really good result today, clearing all the previously unclaimed rewards. Guess the constant practice is slowly paying off. On the other hand, I've been getting tons of rares lately through normal scouting; though, most of them are repeats and usually the weakest ones; Worst thing was when I got 3 cool Hanayos in a row today... But I finally got my smile Maki idolized! x3
  15. Finally got my event Nico! Also, rank 50! Suddenly everything became much brighter. That feeling, when you're near the end of a difficult song and break combo on the last few notes...
  16. It never ends; there's going to be a week of break and we'll have another event...
  17. Great show for the fans of realistic, slice of life stories. I'm also keeping the manga on my backlog; hopefully, I'll be able to grab it soon, since the anime end didn't gave me a peace of mind.
  18. Wow! nice draw indeed, Crunchy. I actually saw it in the messages when I was playing in the noon. Wish I had that much luck, though... I have to say that lately I've been pulling out a lot of R's and most of them often happen even in a single draw, haha. I managed to get a cool Rin and finally got a Maki, too! I managed to idolize few of my previous rares as well, tho I'm slowly getting more repeats, as well :/ Smile Rin is really good, but I get the weak cards most of the time.
  19. I was expecting this kind of statement. They are a business first, indeed.
  20. That's the whole issue with the western, so-called "oelvn" (gods, how I hate that term) scene. You're spot on, in other words. Unless creators grow up and make another step, it being getting out of that sandbox of theirs, nothing will ever change. I stated it plenty of times and I will state it once again - stop with the otaku-pandering, weeaboo crap; none of those are healthy to the western scene and it's growing industry. It's fine to make references or play jokes, but constant dependence on bad japanese tropes and aesthetics is detrimental to the western industry. No sane, adult person would ever like, not to mention play any of these games. Perhaps it's because many of the current developers trying to engage in creating western vn's have their roots in the same, exact amateur scene and they are still young and immature; you could call them "vn weeaboos". They don't think about consequences of creating a game - they just want to make a vn, as soon as possible and since they often have little to no actual experience what will they do? Copy the games they adore so much, of course. It's perhaps why most of the amateur attempts I saw ended up being another one of these stories, taking place in JAPAN, X highschool, with Y being your average highschool guy protagonist, no reedeming qualities whatsoever, suddenly becoming a mecha pilot and ready to save the world, accompanied by an all-female cast of characters, them being his classmates. Fucking. Please.
  21. Perhaps I expressed myself badly in the previous post; didn't mean everything in general, but graphics. I wasn't condemning western conventions. In fact, that's the road western developers should actually pursue. Meanwhile, art is a matter of personal preferences; I'm not fond of most western artstyles and it would be too much of a factor to let it pass in my case. From my experience, vn's with western artstyles aren't popular either, not to mention I have yet to see such a visual novel with extraordinary art quality. Cinders, which has been one of the very few, high quality visual novels with western-themed art wasn't ever popular at all; in fact, it's sales remain rather poor, which is kind of sad but at the same time shows that there's something wrong with Cinders, which prevented it from gaining bigger attention from the playerbase. Most of Winterwolves' games could be considered of good art quality as well. Does it make them more popular? No. What I'm trying to say, that regardless of the artstyle you chose, it won't actually make a bigger difference in terms of gaining more popularity. A lot of consumers expect vn's to have anime-styled graphics; only very few people state they would play vn's, but do not, because they dislike anime-styled art. There are other, more concerning issues, which prevent western outsiders from reaching inside the world of visual novels; art is the least, if not non-factor one of them.
  22. The real question is: would you read a visual novel, which is entirely western-themed, follows western conventions and lacks the appeal of a typical japanese visual novel, including anime-themed graphics? For I would not. There's a couple of exceptions, made by japanese studios (for example, Hotel Dusk or Last Window), which follow themes closer to our western community as well; you can't consider them succesful around here, either. Would they be more popular if made by our developers? A lot of consumers actually reach out for visual novels, cause of their current appeal. It's what makes them interesting for the most of us. I don't want to see western vn's which are adaptations of western books, either. I want to see new, original stories. I hope some people will finally grasp that and find a middle ground to make vn's more succesful on the west. If you feel strong and skilled enough, I'd say yes. Everyone can try; only few will succeed, but what we currently need is definately more people creating more visual novels.
  23. I doubt I'll be able to get into top 1k before the end; I'm already kind of giving up, since I'd rather save the stones for the next 10+1 draw after the event, than waste it all just to get another Nico card; I doubt that idolization makes it worthwhile, considering you'd propably have to waste a lot of stones to get from around 11k to a safe spot within top 1k. Not to mention, it's not the best card, either. Is it worth to waste a lot of stones and grind it all the way to the top? Considering I'm at 40 stones now and there's 3 days left till the event ends, I'm not sure anymore; I'm certain people will start using stones before the very end to secure their spots.
