For Hiiragi, bringing things up out of the blue and being really decisive usually turns out well, but I'm honestly not sure there's much rhyme or reason to the questions most of the time. Savescumming really is the way to go. Or do it properly and take the entire common route to lock into her route. Also, being a pervert is a big no-no.

Tsujidou-san no Jun'Ai Road Discussion
Mr Poltroon replied to littleshogun's topic in Visual Novel Talk
Hoshi Ori translation is planned, but has not yet started. The translation is moving on into the Hatsukoi 1/1 fandisk. SoL means Slice of Life. This is the website for updates and their releases. https://tsurezurescans.wordpress.com/ -
Have indeed not seen you for a while.

What he said. Too lazy to write my own stuff.

Going by these standards then I'm probably Neutral in general, yeah...
-
Hmm... I wonder which fits me more? Positive or Neutral? I'd say Positive because I see myself as someone who likes everything, but I don't know.

WoooOOOoooh... Wait for the English localisation to come ouuuuuuut... woOOOOooooHHhh...

People who, outside of steam, go out of their way to write VN reviews are probably into VNs, and likely will dislike it as a result. Most people on Steam just happen to stumble onto a cheap VN with cute anime girls. They enjoy it, and that's that. How do I put this... Most people who actually care about that kind of stuff don't go and buy censored VNs on steam just to leave a bad review. Most people who do buy this stuff on steam just don't care. They're part of a casual userbase, I dunno. Why don't they care? Because they enjoyed it and don't know it could be better? Or maybe they do know it could be better but enjoyed it anyways? Why? I don't know. I'm not psychic. The fact is that there are a lot of positive reviews on Steam, and I'm just hypothesising why that might be. Over here everybody drinks coffee after their meals. Coffee is also drunk several times a day, but I suspect this might be different than what most people are picturing? I don't know how coffee is in other cultures.

I don't think other VNs have a bad response. They just have a smaller response. IMHHW is cheap, so it gets a lot of people to play it, so there's more people to respond. Steam users only invest the monnies on things they actually care about. Most steam reviews aren't quite written by the hardcore VN fans.

Woah. Either your well placed in Steam's pricing scheme or that's some exceedingly luxurious coffee you drink. It is cheap, relatively speaking, however.

It's quite simple. You read something, and if you enjoy it, that's a good thing and you leave a good review. I enjoyed it for X and Y reasons. If you aren't even deep into the VN scene or if you aren't very familiar with the language you read in you might not even realise it's a subpar translation. It's like this. A bad product/aspects of a product condition(s) your enjoyment of it, but what actually matters to consumers of entertainment that aren't too deep into a series/genre/medium is their own enjoyment. And you can enjoy things that have been lazily and sloppily made. To a lot of people, external factors like who made it or how they went about it or if they're using slave labour don't matter much. Or they don't bother informing themselves about it, which is also valid.

Fureraba Playthrough #2 - Common Route
Mr Poltroon posted a blog entry in Mr Poltroon's Random Codswallop
This post will contain mild spoilers (though nothing really happens in it, so it's not really spoilers) for the common route section. Because of the large amount of screenshots, I've decided to make Hiiragi's specific events their own segment. I might even divide it between her events and the talk conversations. And I think I'll leave my screenshot spam at that. -
The game itself is fairly straightforward and likely does not require a Walkthrough, but I am nevertheless documenting my choices as I go. This means that it should take at least a week to be finished. It's really easy to savescum as well, so you can do that if you need to. I plan to have Hiiragi's options all written down by tomorrow. Finally, I might consider reformatting the choice, uh, format, if anyone's got better suggestions. I know I'll change it a bit, just not quite sure how, exactly.

Fureraba ~Friend to Lover~ Summary Springtime. The season of the cherry blossoms, and a time of new beginnings, new encounters, and new people. For Aoba Kyousuke, this new season marks the start of his second year in high school, and after taking a moment to reflect, and looking at the friends around him... All he can find is a dumbass too horny for his own good, and a weirdo who can't get over his strange fetish for lizard-humanoid creatures. Sure enough he enjoys hanging out with them, and he wouldn't ever think of giving it up, but something feels missing. A precious, valuable part of everyone's adolescence, and something he might just miss out on at this rate... What is that something? Why, love. So upon realizing this, he shouts out to the world-- "I WANT A GIRLFRIEND!" He'll need to give it his all, of course, because he knows that love does not come to those who just wait. Ending Guideline / Suggested Route Order There are four heroines. In order to get into the routes proper, you must select the heroine in the choice screen (when available) and then select to talk about topics that interest her. This walkthrough will, among other things, clarify which topics interest a heroine. By selecting the topics within the walkthrough you will always receive a decent amount of affection and you may choose any combination of topics that interests you. Walkthrough Talk topics will be in brackets [] with the relevant questions for any heroine underneath between quotes "". Sometimes these questions will lead to further questions, which will be indicated by -->. Some questions seem to provide more affection, so I'll mark those with (EXTRA). (Will be removed in the final version of the guide) Not all possible questions will be presented, but there are enough that you will be able to move to the next stage. NOTE: For some of the girls, when you have one at stage 4 and another at stage 3 a jealousy short scene will display. Hiiragi Yuzuyu Mochizuki Rina Minahara Himari ??? Bad Ends and Flags Attribution This walkthrough is based on info attained by me, playing the game. Synopsis from NekoNyanSoft's website. This Rina guide is based and tested by shadowice777, a Team Rina lover. Contributions by AaronCHM.

Fureraba Playthrough #1 - Prologue
Mr Poltroon commented on Mr Poltroon's blog entry in Mr Poltroon's Random Codswallop
I've been making a walkthrough as I go, and this is how it looks right now: You use the talk choices to gain affection with the girl of your choosing. Once you get enough, you unlock a scene with her. Rinse and repeat until you finally lock yourself into her route. In the meanwhile, there's also a 'common route' thingie where it just plays random daily life scenes as long as you don't lock yourself into a route. These don't reflect any of those choices or girl-specific scenes, since they're more of a generic common route. But that's fine. They're just filler. -

Fureraba Playthrough #1 - Prologue
Mr Poltroon commented on Mr Poltroon's blog entry in Mr Poltroon's Random Codswallop
I really, really like this sort of dialogue, so I'm all for it. The protagonist can be really random at times, but it's generally just him trying to entertain himself, or get along with others. He's actually a pretty nice guy, without being so in the overly bland way many protagonists are. Instead of being the straight man, he can easily take on both roles. But he's also a bit deeper than this. Somebody comments that when he isn't at school with his friends he's way less crazy and hyper. I really like this, as well. -
