Okay. I decided to pick up Log Horizon today to get into the new season that's currently airing. I went into this with mid expectations, and I was pretty surprised with what I got so far. The characters are really nice overall. Shiroe is pretty interesting with how he handles situations and has a great character portrayal (Villain in Glasses, hell yeah). Akatsuki is kawaii max. The Akatsuki x Shiroe moments are so sweet. ^^ Naotsugu fits the lovable comic relief role pretty well. He's a funny guy, and I feel he adds a bit more to the show than just comedy. I like how the show does so much to develop the world and how it very clearly explains the game mechanics. Really immersive experience. I'm not so big a fan of the OP, but the ED is great. Just finished episode 12, great marathon so far.

That's one thing that can always be expected from Shimo Fumihiko. One of the most talented writers Kyoani has for them (did work on Key adaptions, Mikakunin, and Kokoro Connect). The name alone is enough to sell an anime to me.

Not worth a lot of PP, but I was so damn happy when I got this. It's hard as hell to HDHR. And this made top 50 too! I get warm fuzzies being on a leaderboard for a map that's been out for more than a few days. :3

It's too bad the scanlators don't have enough informations to speak better English, but I suppose that's to be expected since they don't have an editor for this chapter. >.< Otherwise, the Minus arc in Medaka Box is pretty interesting. Mostly because of Kumagawa. Minor spoiler:

Fantastic opening episode for Trinity Seven. I've heard a lot of good things about the manga and my anticipation for the anime was up there. I'm glad it hasn't let me down so far, it's as interesting as I hoped it would be, if not a little more. The direction is the best I've seen this season. Sasuga, Nishikiori Hiroshi. ZAQ OP was pretty nice too.

I really enjoyed HxH up until the Greed Island arc. My opinion was basically the same as yours... until I got to the Chimera Ant arc. Now, I do understand that the arc does eventually get back to where it use to be, and I'm probably being slightly unfair in keeping it on hold for as long as I have, but I ended up getting tired enough to not want to watch it again for a while. Keep in mind, I'm only 8 (long) episodes into that arc.

For a harem, I'm getting good vibes from Vanadis. May not have had anything worthwhile for its opening episode, but I think it has potential. The MC isn't that great, but he's not the aggravating kind you normally see in harems either. The designs are also pretty nice.

Time for more battoru! I'm really stoked that WIXOSS is airing again. Last season opened up so many questions that I want to see answered, and I'm hoping to get just that with the sequel. The first episode was nicely played out, and the suffering continues. ._. Edit: Just finished watched episode 2 of Terra Formars. Yeah, I'll have to wait on the BDs too. I usually don't mind blood censors so much (I could tolerate the ones in Mirai Nikki), but not when they take up more than half the screen.
