And that's precisely why I like him. His mind was unwavering, and he wouldn't budge no matter how far he was pushed into it. To find a person with that much conviction is a rarity, and a complete breath of fresh air to me. Yeah, he may be a polar opposite to ideal characters like Yuuji, and definitely doesn't fall into the devilishly interesting category like Kyousuke, and I think it's fantastic! He defies extraordinary in an extraordinary way. ^^

I know I'm gonna raise a few eyebrows for this, but my favorite protagonist is Emiya Shirou. I found his character story to be really interesting, and I even admired the idealistic traits he displayed. It was interesting to see the changes he went through in HF. Personality-wise, I feel like Shirou's someone I can really respect. Not sure who to pick for the antagonist, so I'll just go with that old guy in Mankai Chirarism Dai 1 Wa who wears a girls swimsuit and pants on his head. His role as an antagonist was surprisingly complex.

I see what you mean. Yeah, I suppose if a torrent is overseeded like that, you shouldn't feel obligated to. I don't mind keeping a torrent on file for months on end, so it doesn't entirely bother me. Gosh, I remember this one time I downloaded a 90GB file on Bakabt. That took forever to seed back. ;_; But despite the amount of time it takes to seed something back on trackers like BBT and the lack of necessity to do so, I still do it because of my obsession for website stats. That is really lame marketing. I wouldn't agree with that kind of thing.

If your internet isn't that fast, I'd recommend investing in a seedbox. Not only will it seed when your computer is turned off, but it'll seed a lot faster. My upload speed is fairly decent, so I don't have much need to buy one. It's practically a must-have if you want to compete for Bakabt ranking (if you care about that kind of thing).

The minimum obligation is 1:1. If everyone fulfilled that obligation, there would never be a dead torrent (unless it was never fully distributed). Alas, there's dead torrents everywhere on sites that don't provide an incentive to seed.

I finally went through the chart the other day and put together a list of stuff to watch. I'll have it in order from what I find most interesting to least (mostly going off staff listing). I've had Psycho-Pass on hold since it initially aired, so I plan on completing that shortly. I haven't started Log Horizon yet, but I've heard a lot of good things about it, and plan to finish S1 before the sequel airs. Edit: Damn, I can't remember the last time I've had this much to watch in any given season. Suzuki Konomi will be doing the OP for Madan no Ou to Vanadis too.

I understand that this forum is affiliated with VNs, but the diversity and enjoyability of the forum can still help with the cause. Personally, I don't play as many VNs as a seasoned reader does (I spend most of my time on anime and video games), so this forum would be a little less interesting to me if every discussion was solely based on VNs. I do still lurk VN discussion threads, posting occasionally when a VN I've read is mentioned, and some of the things posted there do pique my interest. I can't say many others will be the same, but for the ones that are, this forum would be helping to better interest in VNs. And being apart of this forum has driven me to learn a little more about official English releases for VNs, in which I've started following Twitter accounts of companies like Mangagamer and Sekai Project. And it was through their tweets that I've discovered so many interesting projects that I feel like investing my money in (Like Eden and Planetarian). Now imagine the forum was as you wanted it to be, free of uselessly fun stuff and with little to no discussion for anything other than VNs. I wouldn't be able to interact with the community as much as I'd like to and would probably not stay around for long. And without lurking the VN discussions, I wouldn't be as interested in VNs. Even if a lot of forum discussion isn't centered on VNs, it can still, inadvertently, raise interest. Just my two cents. It's unfortunate to hear about your condition, Tay, and I hope you get well soon.

This is the kind of thing you can expect from ongoing manga. In my experience with them, it can take half a year to see another chapter. I wish I could say I was joking. Although popular manga series tend to see far faster releases, and it also depends on the group scanlating it.

No problem. In a way, production studios are somewhat like fansub groups. You won't always get the same quality release because each group will have various individuals associated with them. In this analogy, we can compare Commie to JC Staff, because they both have a really large number of staff, and have been known to release works that are polar opposites to each other in terms of quality, lol. That said, I'm kinda glad I decided to skip Glasslip, because I wasn't quite confident with the director they hired. The director was apparently handling the series composition as well, and that tends to lead to either mediocrity or disaster. I probably would have watched it if it had been received well enough, but that doesn't seem to be the case this time around. >.< Also, if you like Okada's work in anime, you'll definitely like Gosick. It was a pretty grand experience to me. Now that this season's wrapped up, is there anything I missed that you guys would strongly recommend? Here's a list of what I picked up for Summer.

I'm predicting that Holo and Kurisu will win this round. It'll be really interesting to see how close it gets between those two. And if Holo wins, I will watch Spice and Wolf on the spot. If not, I'll wait like I always do.
