  1. This is not the right forum for this. But anyways, yes, it's safe. And yes, you can actually delete it if you really want to. Nope, it isn't. That would be advHD.exe.
  2. Likes appear to be back to being anonymous.
  3. That's just bizarre. But I suppose they figure that price is such a huge barrier to entry for VNs, and licensing costs probably means they can't offer a cheaper price than $40 for the voiced edition. But in that case, I wonder if it wouldn't have been better to cut it up into episodes instead. It's already an episodic story. Sell each episode (plus the accompanying heroine route) for $10, $40 for the full package. Instead, they're selling an inferior version of the game for half price. Meh.
  4. Thank you. I've already moved away from Gravity Green ages ago but a lot of people still seem attached so this would be very nice.
  5. In the meantime, you can press shift+enter to do a single line break. So you can make posts like this.
  6. (making this a new post so tay sees it) The post preview when hovering over topics is neat, but it seems kind of buggy. Specifically, when clicking between "First post" and "Latest post" it sometimes closes itself.
  7. Can confirm all things. Actually recent profile visitors is going up to 7 for me.
  8. What does the "Disable my messenger" link do in the PM interface? It gives me a warning whenever I click it and I'm too afraid to go through with it. But if it disables that stupid sidebar, that would be a positive. edit: I clicked it. That was not a desirable result, don't do what I just did, kids. Now I don't know how to turn it back on. edit 2: Whew, found it, we're back to normal.
  9. The PM interface is a little weird. The PM posts don't display like normal forums post. That's whatever, I could get used to that. But having the big honking messages sidebar that shows all of your PMs on the left is really messing with things, it squishes the rest of the PM and doesn't even do anything useful. edit: Ahahaha, all it took was a couple posts in phase 12 to trigger us.
  10. This is an option in the notification settings you may have to turn on. Also I want to say something positive, so I'll say that the WYSIWYG editor is a lot less buggy than it was before, so thank goodness for that! edit: One more complaint, you can't see all of the emoticons unless you type a single character into the search field. And one more compliment: is now an emoticon, god bless america.
  11. Some other miscellaneous observations: Recent visitors on profile pages are limited to one, meaning it will always show you and no one else, making it an effectively useless feature. Profiles not defaulting to the About Me page will likely ensure that no one ever looks at that content ever again. Same with not prominently displaying their latest status. Not that this was a widely used feature before, but people aren't likely to look at stuff hidden behind extra mouse clicks more than once.
  12. There are certain notification options that normal users aren't allowed to enable or disable for some mysterious reason, maybe that should be looked into.
  13. Nobody can see that Tay has been liking all of my posts.
  14. Don't worry, there's still apparently plenty of opportunity for rioting.
  15. You can press shift+enter to do a single line break.
  16. First. Everything looks so different and shiny. Good work on the forums upgrade, thanks for all the hard work you put into this site.
  17. Your first experience was with 999, that opinion is to be expected. I guess I should amend my statement to say that it usually depends on which you've read first.
  18. The story is generally lauded by the community and I've seen a lot of people say it was even better than 999, which was practically a remake in spirit.
  19. Good riddance.
  20. This is something that is determined by their partners, which is why every game allows for a different amount to be shown. SP doesn't seem to have much control over this and every VN studio has different ideas about how to handle the issue. Why would you even assume this? Asking wouldn't insult anyone, that makes no sense. Sekai Project asked. Frontwing didn't have them for Grisaia, so that put a stop to that. With Nekopara, there was only one multi-language 18+ release and technically that wasn't handled by Denpasoft, but by the original developers. And they obviously had to keep the mosaics in that case due to the nature of the release.
  21. Most VNs DO in fact have the uncensored originals laying around the developer's computers somewhere, and they are almost never redrawn.
  22. I realize that my last post is a bit silly sounding, normally you would assume nothing is happening in the absence of any proof of it happening, rather than the opposite. And I don't begrudge anyone for thinking that way. The one thing we have to go off of is the remark they made during AX or Otakon this year (I forget which) which heavily implied that they want to continue releasing 18+ versions of the games that have them via Denpasoft. For some reason they can't say this outright. But I'm naive and hopelessly optimistic at the strangest things and this is one of those things, so I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt and will be running under the assumption that we'll get an 18+ release of g-senjou. And of Tenshin Ranman, Wagahigh, Chrono Clock, and everything else. Because ultimately the return is very likely to outweigh the cost of doing so, so why not? They've also been talking about expanding staff in order to promote and support the Denpasoft side of their business better, something they wouldn't do if they were going to give up on it. If you want to be pessimistic about it, that's okay too. I think I'll stop harping on people for being so until they establish a better track record. We'll see starting with this release, I suppose. edit: Also I support the all-ages conversion of any and all VNs for Steam release. Hell, I'd even support that phony all-ages version of Euphoria if it was real. Expanding the market is a positive thing. And it's not like it diminishes the 18+ side at all, either, considering the record sales MangaGamer has been seeing on their own site after going big on Steam.
  23. So you would rather them redo everything from scratch even though the existing translation is mostly fine?
  24. Well, that's a misleading title.
