  1. Sorry for the added annoyance and thank you for the hard work.
  2. If the script files are small, a site like mediafire would suffice, no torrents necessary. To be honest, I don't fully know what exactly is and isn't allowed when linking torrents, and whether or not it's okay to link a legal torrent on a site that also offers illegal ones. Unless a mod says otherwise, I'd suggest replacing the torrent link completely. And yeah, the policy change happened back in February.
  3. Hello Gumi, thank you for the translation! While on one hand it's sometimes sad to see an effort "wasted" on a redundant translation, on the other hand it's always kind of interesting to compare the two whenever it does happen, and having more options isn't a bad thing. However, would it be possible to release this translation in patch form? Fuwanovel doesn't actually allow download links to non-free VNs anymore. And neither does VNDB, if we wanted to add this there.
  4. I sort of feel like this is a self-selecting audience you're polling. The people who care enough about these games to vote for them on greenlight and also to enter onto the greenlight forums (and fuwa, obviously) and read the discussions for them will naturally be more likely to vote for the adult version, and that doesn't represent the overall customer base.
  5. I mean, if it was at night and it genuinely looks like a road due to poor urban planning and the GPS tells you to go on it... Ultimately GPS probably kills a lot fewer people than wrestling with elaborately folded maps while driving. I put all of my trust into machines, and if machines kill me that's just the way it has to be.
  6. The Blighttown swamp can be annoying but the upper area is legitimately one of my favorite parts of the game, but I'm also a freak of nature. It's so incredibly punishing to players who move too quickly or lose awareness of their surroundings. Ambushes behind every corner, dogs charging from unexpected angles, snipers hiding in distant corners picking you off with poison darts that basically kill you in one hit if you don't have the cure and time to use it (or appropriately resistant armor), perilous terrain that can lead to instant death with the wrong step, and a layout that rewards exploration and creative/courageous approaches to problems. A ton of players find it too frustrating, but I think it's pretty much a perfect window into what the Souls series is all about.
  7. My feelings on this are very complicated.
  8. It sounds like they're just glorifying the standard h-scene replacements/minor rewrites that go into most all-ages releases so Steam users don't feel like they're missing out.

    Hearthstone

Alright priest, let's do this. 1) IT'S SO SLOW. 2) If playing against a dragon priest terrified me this much, I will have actual heart attacks playing this deck against aggro. 3) I won. Also it's oddly satisfying to be at full overload for multiple turns in a single game. I say it was terrifying, mainly because I was sitting at below 10 health for like three straight turns, but it was actually trivial to remove all of the dragon priest's threats. I didn't even feel pressured to heal with two heal cards in hand and being at 8 health. I played a healbot for tempo.

    Hearthstone

Just spent 1900 dust on this deck: http://hearthstone.blizzpro.com/2015/09/13/fade2karma-deck-of-the-week-pure-control-shaman/ Looks to have a totally unique play style that could be fun. I wonder if I can push from 15 to 5 before the day ends. Probably not. Any deck with two healing waves and two antique healbots probably won't make for fast laddering.
  11. That's what I'm assuming but better to know for sure when they use such odd wording.
  12. Will be... free? What does that mean?
  13. There was never any question as to whether or not she had a route in the fandisc, but if it will be as good as the original routes. The fandisc routes are shorter, after all.
  14. But "fall" isn't a specific date at all and is actually really vague, and there are still like 10 weeks left in the season. Nothing was "removed" btw, since it was never put up for pre-order to begin with. edit: The way you worded it made it sound like JAST announced a release date and then pulled the rug out from under everyone when that isn't what happened at all. That's what happened with Shiny Days...
  15. That link I provided was the translation patch for the version of the game with voice acting. As for physical versions, I'm not actually sure. They was an option for buying physical versions when the kickstarter campaign was live (the translation was funded through Kickstarter). I am not aware if they have plans to sell them separately. Maybe you could ask them via twitter or email ([email protected]).
  16. Be aware that an officially translated version of Clannad is coming to Steam sometime in November. The fan translation patch has some rough spots, and especially the After Story, which is considered the main reason to read the game, is poorly translated. So while you can go the route of buying the game from Japan and installing the fan patch, there may be a better option available soon. The patch for the fully voiced version is available here: http://www.mediafire.com/download/4d6f7w1uo484eb5/clannad-fv-patch-20120607.zip Unfortunately I'm not well versed enough in importing to tell you what the best option for buying the game is.
  17. It seems like for some reason the first file had its extension removed. Try renaming "setup" to "setup.exe" then launching that.
  18. Well, I kind of am? All attempts they've had at doing things themselves have been pretty big failures so far. A company that knows the english market and has experience in translation will invariably do better than one that does not have either. But it's a moot point, because as I edited into my post it's being handled by another company with some experience in this anyways.
  19. Well, Satsuki is saying that this might be more story-focused so there might be some substance if they cut out the sex? Honestly I don't care what they do to make a Steam version, if there's also going to be an 18+ one. edit: Just so people are clear, THESE are the people who want to translate this: https://mikandi.com/ (warning, NWS AS ALL HELL) I don't think you have to worry about there being no 18+ version.
  20. Yeah I hope they don't have their sights set too high. But throw enough figurines at it and it might make it anyways.
  21. Good... ? Yeah, it's good. They also want to raise the funds to do what would presumably be a proper english translation. I don't know how they plan on doing it, I'll have reservations if they don't plan on working with any of the established players in the game because even if your intent is to hire native speakers to do the translation, there's a lot in this business that can go wrong if you have no experience and managing a team of foreigners as a small company will probably lead to issues. Or hey, maybe this will work out and will lead into an era of Japanese companies being more proactive. edit: Seems like they're using some international consulting firm who might be suited for international business management so maybe they know what they're doing:; https://mikandi.jp/ MiKandi Japan seems to be owned by an indiivdual named Aaron Jenkins and it their sort of reminds me of the JAST approach. MiKandi might be trying to become another player in the eroge localization market. So no, my initial impression of this being handled by onomatope seems be have been off-base.
  22. They never gave a specific date, though...
  23. That time he tweeted out my troubleshooting guide on the fuwa twitter was pretty clutch. Ugh I spent way too much time actually sorting everything out, talking to people, trying to figure out all the issues, dealing with people who are still using windows freaking vista, etc. I'm tired as hell. I think tomorrow I'll do nothing at all.
  24. The true test will be if Tay doesn't notice the parts of the standard template I modified and leaves it in for next week, too.
  25. Hey, it's working for them. I wouldn't be surprised if some super casual campaign title like that actually works better than some serious and clinical one. Also I tried to memify that phrase, Down, but nobody even noticed it when I snuck it in a few times into the last VNTS.
