Well, it's a nukige, what did you expect?

These games are some of the reasons I wish fuwanovel's walkthrough rules were more flexible. It would be so much easier to see at a glance where it was safe to create common save points to load from.
-
Well, I was TRYING to be as non-specific as possible while still answering the questions. Don't read Deep Blue's post if you want no insight into who the potential murder victims might be.
-
The characters themselves aren't particularly hate-worthy, but they are often really boring and shallow. The writing that surrounds them is often much more insipid and cringe-worthy than your average moege/charage.
-
I guess some pretty light, non-specific spoilers about the tone and the good/bad ends:

I'm used to reading about the american upper class, where arranged marriages are very uncommon/practically non-existent these days. And I have to imagine it's a lot less common in Japan than these VNs would lead us to believe. But the realism isn't the issue. I just get really mad when a heroine is having their lives dictated by others down to something as huge as marriage and they just accept it. I suppose I should then like these stories because they obviously always end with the heroines going with the protagonist instead of their pre-arranged partner, but there's invariably major plot points along the way that piss me off.

Well I'm a big fat dofus anyways and got the terms mixed up like I always do. CC doesn't really apply. At least not in the form of Taichi.

Is there a visual novel character who resembles your personality?
Decay replied to MikeY91's topic in Visual Novel Talk
If there was, I'm pretty sure I'd hate them instantly. -
Tsukkomi protagonists tend to be my favorite protagonists but there are so few of them. You can try Cross Channel for that, and to a lesser extent Rewrite. (Tanaka Romeo is pretty good at Tsukkomis)

The arranged marriage plot type always ends up rubbing me the wrong way somehow. I also don't care for the prim-and-proper "Gokigenyou onee-sama~" bullshit that accompanies some of these. That said, not all of them are like that, noble works seems relatively light on the latter, although I'm fearing whatever arranged marriage bullshit it may pull.

It's already shipping according to JAST. Processing and shipping out all of the orders will likely last to near the end of next week, so if you haven't gotten a shipping notification yet you will soon.
-
The after stories are even more sex-filled than the kokoro route.

I thought Yumiko's flashback was the most boring in the game. It just so much felt like she was making mountains out of molehills and I couldn't sympathize with her plight at all.

Koisuru Natsu no Last Resort Discussion Thread
Decay replied to TexasDice's topic in Visual Novel Talk
Not long at all. There's like an in-game week before it branches after that point. Also, eclipsed, what about that other thing you were meant to do. You know, that thing. -
The prepatched version was 2.0, unfortunately.

[Fuwa exclusive][Rant] Promoting VNs in a culture of apathy
Decay commented on sanahtlig's blog entry in Sanahtlig's Corner
I'm of two minds about this. I actually disagree with a lot of your methods but I keep my disagreements to myself. But since this blog post was made and my name was even brought up in the comments, I guess I'll post something. I don't think I'll ever promote any of the Fuwazette content anywhere else unless I feel like we are providing something no one else is providing. That's more due to my personal philosophies than anything else. Here's what I don't like more than anything: When someone posts on a site to advertise their own content from another site. For some specific examples: When Otaku Bookworm posts his reviews on VNDB. He just posts a link to his blog post and that's the entire body of the post. I hate that. It feels like the sole existence of that post is to generate more hits for his blog, and not to spur community discussion. It's okay to post the same thing in multiple places, and if you have something you'd like to share, I'd rather it be shared in its entirety rather than hidden behind links so people have to visit your off-site blog. You do this as well for other content, sanah, and I dislike it just as much. I think it's anti-community, and it's a type of self-promotion I strongly object to. If I wrote the rules, I would go so far as to actually forbid that kind of posting here, in the forums and in the blogs, but luckily I'm not a mod, and you don't have to worry because I'll never seek that position either. -
Could you be sold on Skeleton Knight instead? Because apparently it is crazy good in control vs control matchups. At least, that's what the creator of that deck I mentioned said. I don't know what to believe, I'm certainly not crafting it to try it out. But he insists that while experimenting with a ton of different cards on the ladder, the skeleton knight was consistently one of the best cards in control matchups and it won him a lot of games. I never thought I'd see anyone praising that thing. Also, that deck is alright. I'm bad at it, but it seems like a relatively solid control deck that could be quite good once further refined. I doubt it will ever be top tier but it's sort of fun to play something completely different, and to play something your opponents have no idea how to play around.

onomatope*'s lastest title - Kyuuketsuki no Libra - is coming to Steam
Decay replied to Satsuki's topic in Visual Novel Talk
Well, the scenario writer for Draculius joined Frontwing and was the lead on Grisaia, and he's not coming back for this. I still get the impression that fanservice is more important than the actual story in this. -
I never had a problem with it. For the most part, he just acts normally and most of the weird stuff going on is as a result of the school having no plans for how to handle a male student. And sometimes you'll happily compromise in order to help someone out because that's kind of what being a friend is, you know. It sounds like you want Masaya to dominate all the women and anything else is him being an M.
