  1. Despite how much I'd like to know what happens next, I think i'm going to stick with the anime. Sawano music and glorious IG animation should make the experience even better. But O how much I'd like to know what happens next. I'm having mixed feelings about what happens in episode 5, and I can't decide whether I like it or not if I don't know where the story is going next.
  2. No way. It's really popular, not only in the west. It's announced as a 2-cour series, and I'd bet it'll get a second season some day. It's popular enough that they actually started recruiting even more animators to keep up with the quality of the animation.
  3. Gotta add a new pic with Eren's "I couldn't die even if i were killed here!" in Shingeki no Kyojin ep 5.
  4. If you're not already watching it, Shingeki no Kyojin is probably THE anime of the season. You can check out Suisei no Gargantia and Majestic Prince if you're looking for some mechas, or Yahari etc... and Hataraku Maou-sama for some comedy. Aku no Hana if you want something out of the ordinary.
  5. 2006+, eh? Meh. Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann is not in your list, you HAVE to watch this. It's one of the best title of those last years. Seriously.
  6. The place where most of the (small) French scene can be found is the forum esprit-vn. However it's not very active. Other related websites are the Kawa-Soft website (a TL team), Type-moon france, vndex, etc... But they're all kinda linked.
  7. There are H-scenes in the main story as well, but you usually don't get them on a first blind playthrough.
  8. Hello, fellow countryman! I'm French too. We also talk a lot about anime, games and other stuff here, I'm sure you'll be at your ease. Don't worry about that, there are plenty of non-native speakers here (well I'm among them ^^). Your english is good enough. I'm pretty sure I do plenty of mistakes too. But if you ask so, you did a few mistakes indeed;
  9. New one is Bakemonogatari. But are you going to put all the pics yourself? Shouldn't you pass the hand to someone else when he wins? (edit: Actually I don't want to go through the trouble of putting 4 pics together so I don't mind, it's just that it's how games usually work)
  10. Nope, we'll keep it for further record.
  11. That pic is so dark, I just can't see shit. Damn. Let's try anyway. Muv-luv alternative : total eclipse?
  12. Hunter x Hunter is the best battle shounen I've ever read. It's really amazing. It has basically everything you can expect from a battle shounen and way more. Nekketsu, battle tricks, awesome villains (REALLY awesome), awesome characters in general, a fantastic world-building... It's also more 'mature' than other shounen. And it seems exactly what you're looking for! All the battles are based on tricks and techniques. If you prefer anime, the 2011 adaptation is GREAT.
  13. Why? Why should Shiki always be on par with Shirou? Also, from Nasu source, Shiki Tohno can't kill servants, but Shiki Ryougi can. Don't ask. It's Nasu.
  14. You know what? Every day I wake up and browse Fuwa and think 'there's no way Snowpoke will make a thread that'll surprise me even more today'. And yet you never fail to deliver. (On topic, so far I'm happy with using just a ponytail. I avoid heat in summer as much as I can anyway, and more caring is a hassle)
  15. Hi, Could you read this post and provide a few info? And a screenshot of the mentioned errors could help too, if you can.
  16. Here are a few I can recommend, i'll try to keep it to a few: Dark Seinen/Fantasy: -Berserk -Mugen no Juunin Both of those are really amazing. Probably among the best seinen you will find out there. Not that dark/fantasy but a great seinen is also xxxHolic. Slice of Life/Realistic: -Oyasumi Punpun and basically anything by Inio Asano, that guy is awesome -Yotsuba& -Aria Science-fiction: -Planetes (though the anime is better imo) -Gunnm and Gunnm Last Order Comedy: -Gintama -Noritaka Classics: -Nausicaa -Akira Sport/sport-like -Slam Dunk -Hajime no Ippo -Hikaru no Go I could go on and on and I haven't even read that much manga... Hell, there's like 10 times more amazing mangas out there to read than there's amazing anime, and I think you already glimpsed how much amazing anime you had to discover =p
  17. Man, the legend that lots of VN players have aspergers is actually true. Though I think it's a pretty hard disorder to diagnose. I think I could fit a lot of the criteria if I took the test, yet I don't think I have it. Actually, the way I envision the typical otaku-ish VN player/anime watcher fits a lot of the criteria, so maybe it's not a surprise. Anyway, welcome to Fuwanovel!
  18. Making my way through Tsumihoroboshi, thing's awesome just like all the other chapters. Also started a bit of what's translated of F/HA. Don't forget to play Kagetsu Tohya, whenever you want more Tsukihime! I feel like 80% of the recommendations I do is either Tsuki or KT, for some reason
  19. Yeah, I meant FTP. TCP is just the protocol and the command is scp, so I'm confusing stuff. I can try to upload it directly to your box if you want.
  20. I don't really know how seedboxes work but wouldn't it be possible and easier to just tcp it?
  21. I have! Do you, at some point, 'get used' to learning the kanjis? What I mean by that is, did you feel at some point that your memory was now used to memorizing kanjis, thus making the process much easier? Because I noticed that for other kind of memorization processes and was wondering if it would be the same for kanjis. For example, when I learned to recognize the karuta cards of the Hyakunin Isshu, it was hard for the first 10-20 poems but from then recognizing patterns became much easier for the following 80. That would be a huge boost to my motivation if that was the case actually =p

    Books!

I used to read tons of fantasy and some science-fiction. My favorites are mostly classics of those genres: A Song of Ice and Fire, The Black Company, Dune, Foundation... And others too. Since a year or two I've widened my tastes a bit, but that's also when I started watching animes and reading VNs, so I don't read that much now, which is kinda sad... I'm currently reading The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (yet another classic of science-fiction) and it's probably the most hilarious thing I've read ever, it's really great. I've also started The Malazan Books of the Fallen, I'm not very far in it though and kinda slow at making progress. I plan to finally read Flowers for Algernon in the upcoming days, because people keep telling me it's one of the most amazing sci-fi novels ever. If I find the time I will also start reading Dante's Divine Comedy (yeah, ok, I DID buy this because of Kara no Shoujo...)
  23. Well, I can understand that. If you want only to watch the best stuff each season, that makes sense. Then again, as I said Majestic Prince's ep 1 made it seem like it was some kind of poor anime with an inferior patlabor-like funny team and meh cliche scenario (dunno where do that power rangers thing comes from though), but from the latest episodes I have a hunch it could be way better than that. Mostly a hunch though, it's still only 4 episodes. And if you dislike cliches, don't watch Valvrave. Ep 1 is a blatant retake of Gundam, (not that it's bad but you can hardly be more cliche than that) and from then it goes kinda Code Geass-like with poorer writing. It's kinda entertaining and the animation is pretty nice though, which makes it a good popcorn-tier anime. Toaru S is adapting the manga's best arc, you could try that too because it could really turn out good.
  24. Were you even there last season? There's, like, no possible comparison. You should also set yours eyes on Majestic Prince, it's better than what ep 1 let it looks. Valvrave is a good popcorn-tier mecha. Some nice comedy and mildly promising stuff too, overall there's plenty to do with. But I'll agree that so far nothing seems to come any close to SnK and SnG. About Date A Live (let's stay on topic >_>) I settled on keeping the watch, it seems parody-esque enough for me. Makes up for the stupid scenario.
  25. King Arthur's father. But this is Type-Moon, so it's probably actually a blond-haired small woman.
