  1. Tricky one. I'm going to try The World God Only Knows, but i'm really not sure.
  2. Your turn!
  3. Hehe, that character is unmistakable, even when you haven't seen the anime =p Next is easy too:
  4. Mushishi, I guess.
  5. If people (*looking at Tay*) think that going with a Seven School Mysteries setup is good, we can all throw out ideas of characters and mysteries and see what comes out of it.
  6. That's because "seven mysteries of the school" is something that comes up once in a while in japanese fiction. (But you probably know that). Probably a cultural thing. I'm thinking about a few episodes of certain school-life anime, Hyouka is the one coming right up to my mind, I saw some in Sket Dance too... And of course there's Higanbana no Saku Yoru ni by 07th Expansion. All that counts is having new and good ideas for the seven mysteries. Could be a good concept. That would make either 7 routes or a kinetic, though. Might be too long. It could be good to to have different degrees of fantasy and harmfulness in the mysteries. Like, the library one is essentially fantasy-less and harmless. We could have more dangerous mysteries that are human-caused, but also ones that are surnatural - harmless or dangerous.
  7. I can probably come up with some concepts/help for concepts. However writing is out of the question since writing out my native language would be... difficult. But I'll read all of those concepts when I'll have the time first. Also, do you have a programmer?
  8. Well, I don't give a shit about H-scenes, yet those side routes I found good. They're not solving the whole plot, but they still give an alternative ending to the game. It's actually four different stories, not one story with minor changes and a different love interest. And you have to treat them as really different stories, since otherwise they're not coherent with the main plot. The three side stories have an inferior plot, but since you play them before the true end, it's a build up toward this fantastic final chapter. I liked this game structure, that allowed to not have some kind of harem around the MC yet multiple heroines.
  9. B-but they're great! Okay, Tsubaki's drags on a bit. But I like them a lot :'( Without aiming for true completion, I usually aim for all routes + bad ends completions when I like the game... (The bad ends of G-senjou are great btw) and doing the side routes after the main wouldn't work.
  10. I think "Try not to use really obscure screencaps." should be enough, some old anime are not hard to figure out. Plus old anime often have very recognizable art to compensate.
  11. Seems like some dark urban fantasy/mystery, which I like a lot. Woth KyoAni awesome animation it could be really good... ...But it's the first time KyoAni would do something like that.. Plus it has that typical chara-design that doesn't seem to fit the theme at all.
  12. Yep, your turn.
  13. When picking VNs/anime I only quickly look at the review and the possible mark, just to have a quick idea what's it talking about and what is the general idea of the guy about it. (Although I never read reviews elsewere than on forums. Somehow articles from specialized websites with dedicated reviewers are unbelievably wrong.) I only really read reviews AFTER the game/anime.
  14. Local japanese shouldn't do anything to non-japanese programs. I tried out and it works fine for me, I get the intro clip. Do you have a folder 'movie' inside the Ever17 folder with files such as: -ever17.e17 -mov01a.e17 -mov02a.e17 ...etc?
  15. There's supposed to be a movie folder. Do you have it? Did you try moving its content into the main folder?
  16. Granted, it's all 240p RealMedia player english dub (oh and you have no more disk space) I wish I could learn japanese in a day
  17. Well, let's consider someone with a tad of common sense won't open this topic under any kind of risky situation anyway. And if he does it he won't do it twice.
  18. Granted, they're now all written in Czech I wish I was immortal

Welcome to any storytelling media ever? It's always been the case and probably always be for anime, manga, movies, and even books. (We're talking in terms of popularity here of course) (I don't intend to be mean at all in case it's not clear, too much time on the internet makes me bitter )
  20. Well, I think that kind of "back then" means that internet wasn't as developed as it is now and people had to, you know, actually pay for their anime. Now it's more like you have the choice between 'free' or 'rather expensive'.
  21. Sorry, I'm on my guard ever since I saw Sacchin in Saint-Seiya mode on Type-Moon's website this morning. Won't get me that easily.
  22. That might be me being a history freak, but I'd read it. Even more because recently I had a urge to watch old anime (old means for me before I was born, might not be the same definition as yours =p) and I'm curious about those animes not a lot of people review, because not a lot of people watched them.
  23. Let's try a bit harder. This one is easy if you saw the anime, but I'm not confident lots of people did:
  24. That topic made me realize I haven't been around for very long. I've really been into anime since a year and a half or so. I've watched a few when I was a kid, and I've been reading some manga since 4 or 5 years, but I only started to look up for anime adaptations of mangas I read about 2 years ago. I've watched a few and looked up randomly some other series too, but not that much... Then last year I made a friend at school through other geek stuff (roleplaying games and stuff), who happened to be a lot into anime. He started introducing a few anime to other friends of mine, and I watched some too. AND parrallel to that I had made another friend in class, and she was into anime too. That's probably where I was sucked into it. I signed up on the same anime forum, started watching a bunch of stuff, talking about anime, looking through the internet about it... (He's also the guy who introduced me to Type-Moon through Kara no Kyoukai and the F/SN anime, thus pulling into VNs as well after convincing to play F/SN, Tsukihime and Kara no Shoujo)
  25. Futari wa Precure: "Arienai!" -Nagisa (I put this pic under spoiler tags because it's a bit huge, it's no spoiler though)
