My biggest fear is losing what eyesight I have left - not being able to use a computer in a conventional method, nor surf the web/watch youtube, or read VNs/play games. The loss would be staggering - setting aside the obvious RL changes. Basically it would be throwing away all my hobbies and trying to "start fresh" with a very limited selection remaining, bleh~ (shivers at the thought)

I don't like it when a hscene is shoved in, soley for the sake of it. But, if it fits the mood and situation, I say they go with it - intercourse is just as much apart of relationships as anything else - maybe even more so, depending on the age and hormones. As for purity... that's all dependent on the hearts of the couple, not the act itself. But that's a whole different topic. Hnnnng... play now, or wait for actual Tl....

For my own 2 cp, Is when the tramslation makes things up, or leaves out obvious lines of dialouge. That really grinds my gears. Often, it's not that it's difficult to translate - but rather, uses more formal and expressive english - which many people seem to run screaming from. So instead it gets cut in half and "dumbed down"(not actually, but for all intents and purposes). Of coruse, sometimes it's the oppasite and a character is using cutesy-stupid talk, but the TL decided it was just that, stupid - and TL's it into "proper english". Thus losing a whole aspect of a characters tone~ The other thing, is when they try to transform a very japanese-specific reference into something "american" (or european, whatever, you know what I mean). A TL should stick to the culture the VN is centered around, not transform it becuase some people won't "get it". Clannad comes to mind as an example - alot of people cried and wailed at something that was translated perfectly, but didn't make much sense to most readers, due to lack of cultural immersion. I took that reference and googled it, becuase I was one of the ones that had no idea what it meant, and waddya know - learning is power! Just my personal experiences and thoughts, anyway~

This is so far my favorite one - thopugh there's one aprt that I completely hate. That...*noise* that starts at 00:23, otherwise the piano throughout is great.

Exactly how it should be. After all, it's the people that want visual novels brought over - if we don't get a say in what gets ported, thenn who should? If a kickstarter fails, it means no one wanted it. But setting that aside, let's all remember we all have something in common. We all love visual novels.

Whatever gets the job done, as far as I figure. I'm not going to get upset about any moral implications about "how" crowdfunding should/should not be used - if it can bring things people want, more's the power to it. Besides, if I were to touch on the moral stance - Sekai has been helping push forward many small indie devs (too many imo, alot of amateur stuff mixed in), so can hardly say they are playing a crowdfunding monopolizer. A tool is a tool, doesn't matter if it's a prince or a puaper using it - as long as it's used.

Kicks so much ass - the best thing to have come out of Realta Nua, easily. Which is funny, I can't say I was a big fan of the rest of the Realta Nua soundtrack - the reproductions felt too "busy" and overtweaked, original was much better for most tracks. (but that might just be my nostolgia talking)

Whatever turns the TLer's crank I soppose - I like to read the odd wincest VN for it's taboo sexytime factor, so having someone TL them still fills a niche crowds' whim.

Aoishiro is probably the most natrual portrayal I've seen so far when it comes to yuri - that and Strawberry panic. But even then they do it in a way I can't really stand. =/ I like yuri, but they either make it too goofy/candy-coated, purely implied with no actual expression, or as if it's perfectly acceptable and nobody in the world would ever doubt or question it. I admit i'm probably in the minority, but I've always wanted to watch a semi-serious yuri romance that looked not just at the bonds of those involved, but how they deal with it as a sociatal topic - do they worry about what others think? Do they question their own preferences? etc. I mean, they are at an age (or the age of most cast members in this kind of anime) where they question everything, including their own feelings~ EDIT: though I have yet to read any manga - could be that would open some options to me.

what I find amusing, is with all the titles they have released so far - and continue to plan - they could have released a full-fledged title. Of course, Sukura Spirit was testing the waters - an idie dev can't take a chance with a big release right off the bat, in case it would fail. But at this point they could drop this episodic act if they wanted to, now it's just cash grabs. But on the other hand - if they even remotely listen to feedback, releasing stuff episodically gives them a chance to improve (struggled saying that outloud with a straight face).

Oh I'm well aware of my biast opinion, lol. It's easy for one to want what they want, and dismiss the rest. But from a netrual angle I would be upset to have "all" controvercial content wiped out just becuase it may offend sonebody. Now, with that said - from me as just one guy, rather then for an ideal - I am willing to step on the rights of those that DO want "rape for faps of it" in their VNs. I admit it's selfish and hypocritical, but then again all humans are to one extent or another. : P Would I want that to spread further? to the point of a blanket censorship to anything considered controversial and/or involving "young adults"/"highschoolers" (air quotes, heh) of course not. It's a flawed mindset, I know - but I boil it down to "yes means yes, no means no" and anything else that is considered controversial beyond that is acceptable ocntent and legitimate, because it involves only willing parties. Though ultimately it's not something that can ever be resolved becuase "you can't make everyone happy". Someone will always take issue with something. It's a case of either accepting EVERYTHING, or removing EVERYTHING, to reach a major consesus - and even that would cuase dissent. lol. After all, those that want to be pleased, want to be pleased. Gotta love individuality. The best we can manage, is "live and let live" and even then some people can't even do that~

Sigh, had this huge post written out - then I hit the back button. fudge it \("~")/ To put it lazily and simply - I would be far more likely to play a VN with rape content removed from it, then a vn with the rape content left in. (Bunny Black reminded me how much I despise it). In that sense, I am far more interested in this title right now, then I would have been otherwise. Rape with serious context is one thing - it can be a powerful plot device, providing shock and anger - but just for faps? No thanks. Don't care at that point if it's not the "original concept", becuase from a personal perspective, that "original concept" is worse. Now, having said that - I'm pretty skeptical about the quality of this thing anyway, I have a feeling its legiblity will be suspect. As pointed out, it doesn't look like the dev's really care too much, other than to make a quick cash-grab from a new revenue source.

Thing is - Sekai had nothing to do with that, that was Frontwing when it initally launched the Vita version. Personally, I think it's fine the way it is (steam version). I finished off Amane's route and feel was still well done. Reactionaries are just blowing it out of proportion.
