Call me shallow - but if the Sakura series (including this clicker) had adult content, it would at least have "that" going for it. But as it stands, it's just a badly-written cocktease. I can't stand when something borders on being porn, but refuses to at least give you that much. ( I mean, if your not going to satisfy my emotions or brain, you can at least satisfy my other needs ) TLDR: naked boobs or gtfo.

Da Capo 2 is actually pretty good, as far as slice-of-life rom/coms go. Manly tears were def. shed. I only ctrl-skipped through one route. (Koko's)

I personally don't care, as long as it's not a really obvious distinction (but then again I have bad eyes, so gotta love subjectivity). In some ways though, one could say it keeps the characters from looking "cookie-cut" - with the minor distinctions between artist styles.

That's a pity, I have some really ancient titles sitting around that play at 640x480 - something like this wouldve been awesome. =/ instead I have to choose between windowed + magnifed glass, or fullscreen and blurry~

Not sure I will touch the free version - the idea of forced updates doesn't appeal. Heard it's already causing troubles with device drivers. Besides, nobody has to hop on it right away, if you're eligible for the free version - you have a full 12 months starting the day it launches to decide.

Even though she drove me crazy - to the point of almost hating her - I'm looking forward to Konomi. During her parts of the common route, she showed some real maturity and insight at rare times - changing my opinion of her. If accurate, 30-45% is still pretty generous for a set of after stories.

A lesser known doujin producer started up a kickstarter a while back, drawing heavy inspiration from Type-Moon style works. I question what level of quality we can expect from the translation (at least based off the english used on the Kickstarter page), but I am still hoping it does well. I'd have to vote for a console/PC, if I had a choice. My only real problem with Vita - and other such handhelds - is some people (like me) lack the eyesight to use the smaller devices - and it's extremely frustrating to miss out on a game just because of the device it was ported to. But that is also kind of selfish wish, there are those with far more hindering disabilities than blindness, that can't even use a console/pc - so trying to find a middle ground ain't so easy I guess. In the end, businesses can really only market to the majority if they want to prosper.

I "would" go for the virginity thing as another expression of closeness, if most VNs didn't turn the protag into a total pornstar during it I can only think of Masaya during Rise's route as being a relativly non-pornstar hscene. Call me strange - but if the mc is a virgin, I find it just a bit less silly and a little more touching when they are both obviously new to it and just sort of fumble through the motions - being rookies together and accepting that about the otehr is another type of acceptance. It's true that most do have a kiss scene - but typically the protag is off screen, and the dev assumes the reader is projecting themselves as the MC. Personally, I'm the sort of reader that watches from the sidelines, I'm happy just to see the protag get along with whomever - I don't need the heroine pointing her lips at the screen, at least not for "that one important kiss" I'd rather see the two kissing, instead of her kissing my tv screen.

Wow, That's pretty jaded - and I say that as a man that has no interest in forming a romantic relationship with anyone, lol... As for the kiss Cgs - I think at "least" one CG should be provided for every route - unless the reader is a complete and total boor and lacks any sort of emotional connection, a kiss is a literal embodiment of affection and love. A bond between the two. But that is also subjective opinion I guess. For myself - a kiss is a very personal and symbolic thing - far deeper and meaningful then any amount of sex (though we could also get into the subject of "making love" versus "sex"). Plus, there is a huge difference between just casually kissing and "that one important kiss". a decent example being what Sarabeara posted above me.

Based on my experiences with the Petals series/almost every yuri anime series, it's not even an exaggeration, lol . Either way, hope this concept hits pc someday, I'd like to read a Yuri with some emotional depth, tbh.
