  1. Ahh the feels. Despite all the times I both reread the Visual Novel and rewatched the 2006 anime, this song still makes me feel nostalgia and similar strong emotions. Nonetheless, as good as that song is (and the rest of the Kanon OST), Shoujo no Ori will always be my favorite. This is probably my favorite version of the Shoujo no Ori (although it is only used in the anime): This is another version of Shoujo no Ori I like that most people probably aren't familiar with since it was only used in the Kanon & Air Piano Arrange Album: Re-Feel:
  2. Well, I am obviously very biased. You should know that I'm a huge Kanon fanboy, seeing as you were one of the few people who read and even commented on my analysis of Mai and Sayuri's routes. But I do agree with the fact that Shoujo no Ori is the best track in the ost.
  3. Kanon's original PC edition has no voice acting, but it does have back ground music; really good music (in fact I'm listing to the Kanon VN ost right now).
  4. Yeah! I wanted to like a thread too, but then it got deleted as I liked it:
  5. Thanks for the explanations everybody. I didn't realize that Western media outrage had so much to do with this. Or rather, I knew such incidents happened; but I didn't know it had such a tremendous effect.
  6. My problem isn't with him as an individual (I understand why his position is guarded). But with the industry as a whole. And if his views are "liberal", I would hate to see the conservative views. I really don't understand what could possibly be bad with expanding to overseas markets. It's obvious there is demand. As companies do they not want money? What bothers me the most is the irrationality of this collective stance by the industry.
  7. It still sounds like they are xenophobic to me, especially with comments like these: Why is this even a question? Of course it's okay. They purchased the game didn't they? So they have the right to do whatever the hell they want with it afterwards. Also, I have no idea what is wrong with this: So long as the distributors buying up Japanese eroge are buying them and not smuggling them; then there is nothing wrong with them selling them over seas. If a book is released in the US, there is nothing wrong with me buying up a couple hundred copies and reselling them to customers in other countries. The fact that these issues are even questions in the first place is what is Xenophobic.
  8. When I typed that post, I assumed some people would make that mistake. ;P
  9. Dear Tiagofvarela, I love your voice. If I had kids, I would hire you to read stories to them.
  10. I could be wrong, but I don't think it has been mentioned in this thread yet. Technically America's traditional culture has been severely marginalized due to the dominance of European immigrants and their descendants a couple hundred years ago. Native American culture has had to bow its head to the power of Post-Colonist America. Everyone probably already knows this, but I felt like saying it regardless. To be perfectly honest, I don't really feel like America (Post-colonist America to get technical) has much of a culture. As Clephas pointed out earlier, certain states have their quirks; but their isn't much of a national culture. American culture could probably be simplified for two notable aspects: 1) Staunch Individualism (ironically I'm a collectivist, but whatever) and 2) borrowing what we like from other cultures. The culture we have most borrowed from for obvious reasons is England, but we've taken a lot from all over the place.
  11. Considering the themes Serial Experiments Lain tackles, that's actually a far more clever reference than I originally thought.
  12. I am so fucking confused... You're a life savor. But how do I know you're really Flutterz?
  13. That makes sense (I'm totally going to mix those two words up in the near future regardless though, lol). I shouldn't have questioned the person who edits my occasional blog posts. Confession: I am deeply confused as to why Zaka and Nohman are pretending to be each other.
  14. Going with the Fuwanovel = heaven analogy I made up earlier; I had to edit that for you.
  15. Way to trick me Zaka, I thought you were Nohman for a second. Even as a native speaker the subtle difference between 'affect' and 'effect' still alludes me; but I'm pretty sure 'effect' was correctly used. At least according to this definition of 'effect': "a change that is a result or consequence of an action or other cause".
  16. Even if 616 were the number, you can't just Photoshop yourself into the Devil's position. Mr.449 Post Counts.
  17. That's true. We did exchange some interesting Pms, but you can't "like" those. Did anyone else notice that "Likes" are like wealth. It's easier to get more the more you already have. xD
  18. I suppose I start playing the part better by quoting Satan (myself) from Paradise Lost: "The mind is its own place, and in itself Can make a Heaven Fuwanovel of Hell 4chan, a Hell 4chan of Heaven Fuwanovel." I also like this one: "Better to reign in Hell 4chan, then serve in Heaven Fuwanovel." This just gave me an idea. I'm going to publish my own version of Milton's Pardise Lost in which I replace the words "Heaven" with Fuwanovel and "Hell" with "4chan".
  19. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ I only included people who have liked me more than 5 times. 2014-2015 - Total Likes Received From Looks like Senpai didn't notice me. Although I had no idea I "liked" your content as much as I apparently did.
  20. Thanks, this clarification was actually helpful. That's what I thought you were communicating, but I wasn't certain.
  21. I've stared at this sentence for at least a minute now, and I still don't understand what you are asking. "Like" inflation is totally a thing. I remember when I was first active here during the spring and summer of 2013 and people hardly ever "liked" anything. That just wasn't a thing back then. Maybe if you helped a mod or an admin when they requested for something, but that was about it. The only way to communicate if you liked what somebody said was by replying to their post. Other wise you had no idea whether people really cared about what you said. I went on basically a year long hiatus after that and returned during summer of 2014, and suddenly people were actually "liking" things. And I discovered this related to the Fuwa reputation thing. When I returned my reputation was really really low compared to newer users. Simply because the newer users joined at a time when "liking" was something actually done. Somehow I climbed my way up to the "FuwaAwesome" status with over 200 likes. That certainly was a journey.
  22. We can divide the fuwa underworld and rule parts of it together.
