It takes an awful lot of motivation, stamina, persistence, and a fair amount of skill to translate a VN of any length. I don't want to discourage any newcomers from getting involved in the sparse world that is amateur translation for VNs, but I have to ask: are you really up for such a task? Your posting pattern and comments do not remind me of someone who meets said criteria, and I say this in the nicest possible way since I hate to see people overwhelmed by the reality and the community disappointed by yet another transient.

I don't think you'll find anything even remotely interesting, that would fit those criteria If you don't have any ideas/plans yet as of what to translate, I don't think it's even worth trying; you're more likely to give up midway through.

With multiplayer games, instead of "cheating" I employ "strategy". For example, when seated next to a person beating me convincingly, I would yank his controller cord out of the console. The lengthy 'WHAT THE FUCK' and his subsequent scrambling granted me plenty of time to rack up an advantage. A little bit harder to do now that wireless controllers have become a thing, but a hearty overhead chop should be enough to make him drop his controller, granting you a few precious seconds to do what you will. ... ‘Strategy’ :3 Note: Shielding your controller and your person against retaliatory strikes is a must.

It's really interesting to see the new members form their own groups, it's as if the old members who shaped Fuwanovel are slowly disappearing and starting to not care about the site anymore, i personally am one of those people, and while it's not meant to be a bad thing, a lot of old members who used to be active are starting to realize how much this site has turned, there really is no unity on Fuwanovel at this point, It used to be a site dedicated to finding a common interest and banning together on site projects/ideas, but now it's just a haven for social cliques, Anyways, not trying to be a negative Nancy, Congratulations on 1,000.

Mine it's from berserk, I've been using it since I registered in the forum. Spoilers ahead xD You can see Guts and Casca (Gattsu and Kyasuka or whatever you want to call them xD) at some point both of them get in some serious shit (they are lovers at that point), those events destroy casca's sanity and she regress to being a baby in her mind to repress them, Gattsu doesn't give up and still takes care of her all the time, you can say she is the only person in the whole world that he treats really well even if she behaves like a baby. The picture is fan made but it's awesome and really emotional, I chose it because I love berserk and I love Guts, even if everything sucks in his life from the day he was born he keeps fighting and doesn't give up. And yes go read berserk because it's fucking awesome.(the anime and movies don't do justice to it)

Like your own post? Summary: I want to translate this VN (title not revealed). It has a file called script.noa, but I don't know what to do with it. Based on this I don't know what to say. Sometimes a VN takes a lot of knowledge to extract/insert the script and sometimes it's really easy. For a start, try using notepad++ to open the file to see if it is plain text. It likely isn't but it is a really easy first step to check. VNs are usually encoded in shift-jis, meaning you likely should change the encoding to that. I can't really say more based on what little you wrote. However I can say that I would welcome any new translators. Have you considered making a translation group or joining an existing one? Back then I started, I didn't know anything about organization or workflow and just tried to figure out stuff on my own. It worked, but joining a group with proper leadership and organization is a totally different world and the organized steps with editing and stuff does provide a much better result. If you just start on your own, you may end up re-inventing the wheel and odds are your new wheel wouldn't be round.

I don't really have anywhere (or anyone) else to vent to about this, and i'm feeling extremely frustrated about whats been going on with my head over the past two or three weeks. Maybe some of you go through, or have gone through the same thing and can relate here. Anyways, I have had an anxiety disorder for..i'd say almost two years now (or at least that's when I got it diagnosed). It started back when I was still a sophomore in High School, I wasn't really into drugs, though I did smoke Cigarettes, and I ended up coming over to a friends house that wanted to get high. I took a hit off the bong he had, and all seemed well, though it didn't really seem to do much, or so I thought. A good half hour or so after that I was lying on the couch he had in his room, taking a sip of Coke when I started feeling this odd warm sensation in my chest, which quickly escalated into what I ended up discovering to be a panic attack. I called my Mom to come pick me up (and subsequently told her about what I did, out of fear for my own life, since I thought I just had some sort of heart attack/stroke) and she assured me that everything would be okay. I end up going to the doctors the next day, who think I am some crazy paranoid schizophrenic because I am freaking out about it, thinking it's some life threatening issue, and the guy issues me medicine for schizophrenia. That obviously doesn't work and the symptoms get worse, to the point where I am having panic attacks back to back for hours on end, sometimes losing days worth of sleep. I don't know how I didn't go insane. Fast forward a bit. I finally get into this mental clinic place for teens with mental problems as an out-patient, though most of the kids there were for being suicidal/having anger problems/etc so I couldn't really relate to anyone and felt a little isolated. Towards the end of me going there I was finally given medicine to help deal with my anxiety, which worked great until these past few weeks. It all started a little before my parents left for vacation in Cancun. Whenever I would try and fall asleep, I would jolt awake as if my heart had stopped and I would be too terrified to fall back to sleep. Eventually that started to fade, and I could sleep a bit easier, but over the last couple weeks (this past week in particular) it feels like this is hell on earth. The jolting awake thing is back, except now there's usually a shocking feeling in my foot when it happens, my panic attacks have gotten worse to the point of completely mimicking the symptoms of a stroke and a heart attack at the same time, my back muscles have been pretty stiff, and I've had tremors in my arms and legs as well. I thought that it could be ALS, as some of the symptoms match, but seeing as how they have come and gone and twitching doesn't occur in ALS victims until the muscle has lost function, I don't think it's that. Also i'm only 19 and it doesn't run in the family, so I feel like it's highly unlikely. Probably anxiety induced BFS, from what my research has brought up, but only time (and a doctors visit) can tell, I suppose. Anyways, i'm not entirely sure what the point of this post is, but venting my frustration with whatever the hell is going on with me has made me feel a little better. Not even sure if i'll post this, but I probably will just because I took the time to write it, would be a waste not to post it. I guess this could give some of you who don't experience this insight about what it feels like. Does anyone else go through anything like this? What are your experiences with anxiety, if you have any? Feel free to vent as I did.

ODST is an excellent take on the Halo formula, changing up the way one feels when playing the game. It still controls like Halo 3 but you are not a walking tank. Playing as a ODST changes up your approach to combat situations as you are more fragile on foot vs. the enemy. The story, while not some epic tale, is a stand-alone experience that is one of the better Halo stories in my opinion; the audio log story was surprisingly very good. Also that smooth ass jazz OST is really fucking something else. I also think Firefight mode is one of the best horde modes created, a very good take on the at-the-time still maturing game type, popularized by Gears of War 2. Very simple but great design. Shame it has no matchmaking but if you can round up some other people it is excellent. So you should play it for sure.

The romance aspect in Chihayafuru is actually handled fairly well imo, especially after the 2nd season. It feels like it connects the characters together rather than just being there for the sake of it. It never ultimately hurt the spot aspect of it, though. As for a conclusion though, yeah that's not going to happen anytime soon.

Hello everyone, I am posting on behalf of DEVGRU-P. We're an American Visual Novel Development Team, and have a big release coming up next week. As a team, we very interested in putting our money back into the community, and want to help other developers get their projects off the ground and on Steam. As such, we are looking for Visual Novels that are currently early to midway in the development cycle, who are aiming for a commercial release in the future. Because we have worked with Valve on getting our game onto Steam, we have a pretty good handle on how to actually use Valve's software (SteamPipe) to handle game builds and keys and whatnot. Specifically, what we want to do is, Kickstarter -Pre Campaign advice, helping you pick a good funding amojnt, designing reward tiers. -Building the campaign, writing the pitch, laying it out to make an attractive and professional looking campaign. -Contacting gaming websites to drive traffic to your campaign. Steam -Building your Steam Greenlight page. -Submitting the game to Steam Greenlight (this costs $100 the first time an account submits to Greenlight, our account already has gone through the process, which our account has). -Managing customer questions on Steam, monitoring the page. -After the game has been approved by Valve, we'll build the Steam Store page, and handle actually getting the files on Valve's server. In addition, depending on the funding goals and our level of interest in the project, we would also be interested in footing some of the development costs. Our primary interests are in games that really set themselves apart concept wise, and bring something new to the genre. Dont let all these fools fool you, learning hiragana is absolutely not necessary to read a untranslated vns. I find it more efficient to just go to a casino to win big and use the money to hire groups of translators to translate raw vns 24/7.
