Anime of the Year 1995-I Winter - Armitage III
littleshogun commented on kivandopulus's blog entry in Anime of the Season
Well turned out that 1995 Maruko is the one that keep broadcasted until today, although the one that was aired in Indonesia is 1992 version. I just search 1995 anime on MAL, and turned out the staffs did use several remix of 1992 anime first ending as the opening so no 1992 version opening in 1995 anime (To be fair though the first ending for 1992 anime is quite catchy). I also see Ninku in Animax, although seeing that there's no Indonesian sub I decided to drop it and not going back to it again. That's all for what I can comment in regard of Winter 1995 anime. -
Anime of the Year 1994-IV Fall - Blue Seed
littleshogun commented on kivandopulus's blog entry in Anime of the Season
DNA 2 - Karin did remind me of Botan from Yu Yu Hakusho, and let's just say that the concept of Mega Playboy is sounds ridiculous on paper (And in practice as well). I did watch it on Animax out of boredom, and the ending is somewhat bittersweet to a degree. Macross 7 - My favorite Precure reviewer did made several mention of it, and it's mainly in regard of Basara in that it also has one very over the top (And awesome) scene when he need to recover his voice (And successful) in episode 27. That aside the love triangle here is not like in previous Macross with two female, but instead it's in regard of Mylene who's involved with two handsome guy (She's fall in love with Basara while at the same time she has fiancee). Macross 7 here is also the one that solidify itself as the series that put more focus on the music by establishing the MC as the band member, in which it's contrast with the previous series that has the MC worked as the spaceship pilot. Apparently the change is not accepted by the fans, although then again in Japan it's very popular so perhaps there's some difference of taste between the region. Rayearth 1 - Note that I add '1' because it's the first part of the series with the second part has different story. I did come across it out of boredom when I do some searching on Working Design (The one behind Lunar liberal localization), and I found out that they've been working on the video game version of this. Game aside, this is usual isekai work with the three girls are tasked to rescue the princess who've been kidnapped by her very loyal knight (Sort of like FF1 early story, so it's normal if you find the story is like usual RPG), although turned out that there's something more behind the mission that would became the burden that is far too heavy to bear for the three girls. Almost forgot to mention that this is CLAMP work, and it's lighter than their previous works despite the particular twist that mod Clephas mentioned. That's all for what I can say in regard of Autumn 1994 anime. -
Welcome to Fuwanovel. I see that you didn't like Starless and Maggot Bait, in which I can see the reason why even with the latter has something more than disturbing sex contents. Also yeah it's common problem for the people to got a big backlog on VNs. Lastly feel free to ask for VNs recommendations if you need it in the future, and I hope that you'll have fun in here.

Steam did list this as Winter 2023 release, so it should be obvious that Mirai Radio release is delayed again, but if anything else at least it seems Nekonyan has something interesting to make up for the delay later.
-
With the writer was revealed as Ryukishi, the trailer here did sneakily made reference to his past work (Higanbana, in that it's the flower in the movie). As for what I can say, well I'm not going to play this but at least I know that Ryukishi here would be meddled by the director like back on both of Iwaihime and Loopers (Doubly so because it's Konami), so perhaps keeping the expectation a bit lower might be help. At the very least, Ryuukishi here didn't write another Higurashi title that supposed to be the continuation of Miotsukushi, seeing that having Gou and Sotsu as Matsuribayashi's so-called sequels are controversial enough (And not to mention it did forcefully link Higurashi with Umineko).

The first real AI visual novel is coming!
littleshogun replied to thelastsecret's topic in Visual Novel Talk
I thought that it's the VN about AI like Re:Lief, only to find out that it's been drawn by AI. Well no much to say here other than good luck with the VN there. -
Silver Colored Faraway Track 7 - An Icy Waltz
littleshogun posted a blog entry in Pretty Cure on Fuwanovel
Visual Novel Translation Status (16/10/2022) Because we have Ginharu update even though it's smaller one compared to what we have previously, once again I decided to use 'Silver Colored Faraway' as the title with 'Track 7' mean that it's the seventh time I use the title. Obviously once again I did make a reference to one of Kanon 2006 episode, in which said episode is episode 12 (A Strange-Looking Waltz) and I'll explain more of it on PS later. Anyway welcome to this week VNTS Review and to be honest other than Ginharu update there's no much notable update, although at least it still has some interesting news such as Shiravune announced a Liar-soft VN so overall this week here is just a below average one. Sorry for being late here, and let's see what I can write in regard of this week as well. Shiravune also announced two nukige that have NTR, and what I can say is that I'm not quite interested with it. For the info the title for both nukige are Seduced by a Magic MILF and Slippery Richard. If you interested with those title for some reasons, then you can wait until the release date on 24th later. As for the new Liar-soft VN, it's Alpha-Nighthawk in that I can say that so far it's the most interesting new announcements from Shiravune, although honestly it didn't say quite much seeing that it's quite underrated VN and a short one at that. If anything else at least it has good graphic like usual Liar-soft VNs, and also it has interesting premise with humanities threatened by a gigantic mysterious rose that occasionally launch it's thorn to the Earth with the thorn can destroying a city. In Alpha-Nighthawk here we'll have both of male and female MC with both MCs are the one who fought against the thorn invasion, and that it'll be available on 28th later with Steam version of it is available as well. Almost forgot to mention that Kogado will release both new Trisitia on January 19th next year, although it's only for Switch version so obviously we need to wait a little longer for PC version here. I also forgot to mention that we have one fan translation release, although rather than the new release it's more like the release that was formerly marked as MTL was finally treated as proper translation because turned out the translator is mostly use manual translation with MTL usage as some sort of dictionary. Said release is My Girlfriend is Collar Blue-Worker with the full title indicated four title in one package, and from what I see it's the VN from elf with some NTR content. I know that it has good reception from what I see on VNDB average score, although I don't think that I'll play this later. That said if you're interested with good NTR title that span more than ten years in-game, go get the VN and have fun. For fan translation updates, we have Yosuga no Sora is at 65% TLC-ed along with 28% edited, ChuSingura is at 14.32% translated, Senmomo is at 74.12% edited with Chapter 5 is reached 90% mark (90.40%) edited, Chronos is at 65% translated, 182 out of 255 script files of Kusarihime are translated, and H2O is past a quarter (26.6%) translated with Hayami's route is past halfway (61.3%) translated. As for the aforementioned Ginharu update, it's in regard of the editing in which Irru is finally working to editing Mizuha's route with the progress of it is going steadily, so perhaps we may see Yuzuki's patch in November if the translator decided to skip Mizuha's patch release, although obviously it's still up in the air because there might be some unforeseen circumstances later. That's all for what I can write in my belated VNTS Review, and see you next week. PS - For more info in regard of the title, I simple change 'Strange-Looking' into 'Icy' because we have Mizuha who is a figure skater who slide on top of a rink that use ice, and as we know ice is very cold so I used 'Icy' in which it's one of the synonym for cold. For 'Waltz' it's obviously a musical reference with waltz music here is the song for the ballroom dance, which is quite fitting for Mizuha who is a figure skater with her title in the opening, 'Noble Silver Bird Dancing on Ice', has the word 'dancing'. -
Late for the answer. Anyway if you're need to scroll the year, well no other choice other than press Back button seeing that the scrolling bar will disappear after you select the year that you want to see. Anyway as for my belated comment in regard of Getchu Awards 2021, let's see what I can write below. As for Sousaku Kanojo, I can only say that the plot is resembling Your Lie in April anime with G-Senjou artist did the character design, although her design is quite different compared to her past works. Currently we also have fan translation project for Lupercalia, although I wonder if the translator will manage to finish it later. Anyway Lupercalia itself is about theater club, so naturally there'll be a lot of dramatic scenes. I suppose I can also said that FAVORITE did an effort to write Happy Show Life in Russian setting, although obviously the staffs didn't do enough research on Russia according to one of the review. I understand though that it's not like the staffs would have enough budget and time to do thorough research on Russia anyway, and Nekonyan here may not have enough budget to localize this yet even with them just took over Irotoridori license. Fuyukara Kururu is the last of Kururu tetralogy with the writer decided to had female MC, and it's not like I can put my hope to Sekai to translate it seeing that they still can't get the first part (Harukuru) released anyway even though I think that it would be nice to have it in English. It would be nice if Nekonyan somehow decide to localize two of Hooksoft VNs (Aikoi and Yubisaki), although I may hope too much. Then again, I said that both of Royale and Kakenuke are good choice to be localized by Nekonyan, and here we are saw Nekonyan picked both with Royale was already released in English. Seeing that Majikoi's sales apparently not enough for S to be localized, I suppose I should give up on hoping that JAST someday would localize Wagahime even though it's looking nice with interesting premise. Harukaze did announce that they'll localize Monkeys, although until now it's still a mystery on when they'll release it, or if the release will be uncensored or not, and also whether they'll ask Shiravune's help. What I know is that it's another trap MC VN with the MC is formerly a delinquent who enter all girl school, and there'll be a lot of comedy like Noraneko. I did suspect that Purple Software will localize Kunado sometimes in the future, as seen with on how they put less effort on the sex scenes (Some did criticize that they use the same pose from their previous VNs), that it only has less sex scenes (For comparison Amatsutsumi has 22, Aoi Tori has 25, and Kunado only has 13 with five of those are additional scenes so effectively it only has 8 sex scenes), and that it has no explicit school uniform, so it's more likely that Purple Software did prepare in case Steam will easily ban their VN, although in the end it's just my speculation. That aside, Kunado here has post apocalypse setting with the civilization back to ancient Japanese level, so in a way it's resemble Utawarerumono to a degree. I did try Nine Shinshou, and while it's a nice VN to read after finishing Nine tetralogy overall we can say that it's like fandisc instead of full sequel (Even though it also resolve the remaining plot thread that was foreshadowing in Episode 4 finale). Good to see that Sekai did manage to release this quickly, so now we have all Nine VNs are translated. Oh yes both of the writer and the director of the quintology (Or tetralogy if you thought Shinshou as FD only) now working on Criminal Border in which it's new Purple Software VN, and let's just say that I need to get use to the art seeing that it's not usual Purple Software art. I thought that Amayui 2 here is sort of unnecessary sequel seeing that the first Amayui is conclusive enough with 2 here has Avaro asked to help another country, although it's still has nice gameplay with Eushully here did tweak a lot of gameplay with the end result that it's easy to make a overpowered team to break the game (They nerf several of the skills though). Oh yes Depravity did release the translation patch for this, although beware that it's MTL (You can download the patch here if you're curious and want to try it). That's all for what I can say in regard of my belated comment on Getchu 2021.

Anime of the Year 1994-III Summer - Taiho Shichau zo
littleshogun commented on kivandopulus's blog entry in Anime of the Season
Ogre Slayer - Well I can only say that it's resemble the popular Demon Slayer, and I say this because the translation called it as oni (Note that the kanji in Demon Slayer is literally translated as 'Oni'). Other than the it remind me of Demon Slayer, no much to say in regard of this. You're Under Arrest - Like you say the artist here is also work on Ah My Goddess manga and in turn Tales series character design, and if you want more of this there'll be three seasons of anime series. Oh yes it resemble Dirty Pair to a degree, although obviously those two policewomen here didn't need to deal with collateral damage that involved a planet. It also has the manga, although it's not as long as Ah My Goddess manga. That's all for what I can say in regard of Summer 1994 anime. -
Anime of the Year 1994-II Spring - Tottemo! Luckyman
littleshogun commented on kivandopulus's blog entry in Anime of the Season
Chou Kuse ni Narisou - My favorite Precure reviewer did make reference to this anime, although it's mainly for Nagisa's VA, Nishimura Chinami, who in turn would be voicing Aoki Reika/Cure Beauty from SmPC later. Other than that, well it's more or less comedy anime with the MC Nagisa who will be an idol even though she's more or less can be qualified as delinuent for her physical strength. The Snow White Legend - Since when does a fairy tale take 52 episodes? Since when Tatsunoko decided to adapt a fairy tale and decided to follow the format of World Masterpiece Theater. That aside, other than it's obviously based on Snow White, I did remember than I'd hear the part of the opening song of it because it's aired in Indonesia as well, although I didn't manage to watch it because the television signal that broadcasted it was pretty bad. G Gundam - I'd pay attention more to Master Asia who is the Badass Grandpa and also the MC's teacher who turned as antagonist, and his VA is Akimoto Yosuke who keep using the same tone that he keep using in several of his role (Such as Ogam from Tears to Tiara and Garmus from Madou Koukaku). As you said Sunrise here did introduce the change, mainly by changing the director. Speaking of change, Sunrise decided to introduce yet another change by making their recent Gundam (Witch of Mercury) has female MC with said MC was engaged with both of female and male (So much that people call it as otome Gundam, although shoujo Gundam here might be more appropriate calling here). Sailor Moon S - The series did introduce GL couple Haruka and Michiru, although seeing that back then Westerner is not quite open to LGBT they decided to dub the couple as cousin, which of course backfired seeing that it also introduce another taboo (Because the publisher didn't remove the romance instance between the couple) on top of same sex couple being taboo back then. Other than that, well no much to say other than it's indeed another usual Sailor Moon formula that Toei will use on Precure later. That's all for what I can say in regard of Spring 1994 anime. -
Welcome to Fuwanovel and sorry for the belated greeting. Seeing that you said that you'll post a lot of stuffs in regard of GL, I should say that I'll look forward to the stuffs later. Lastly I hope that you'll have fun in here.

Welcome back to Fuwanovel and sorry for the belated greeting. Of course you can still ask for VNs recommendation like back in your first introduction, so feel free to do so if you wish so. Once again I hope that you'll have fun and enjoy yourself here.

If you like some more work from same writer as WA2, then perhaps you can try Damekoi or Parfait with the former can be said as some sort of WA2 prototype. For more recommendation, well if you want more love triangle drama like WA2 then you can try something like Oretsuba, Kimi ga Nozomu Eien, and December When There Is No Angel (From the same company as WA2 albeit with different writer). Regardless of what you want or whether you already play those VNs or not, I hope that my recommendations here can be helpful to you.

Here's two songs from the game that I recently like to hear even though admittedly I never play those games in the first place. Valine from 13 Sentinels Aegis Enemy of God from Shin Megami Tensei IV Apocalypse Enjoy.

The trailer of the new Da Capo main series game is out!
littleshogun replied to HataVNI's topic in Visual Novel Talk
Well different taste for different people I guess, although when it come to Da Capo obviously it's for enjoying the cute girl along with usual charage storyline so naturally one shouldn't expect very epic story in Da Capo. By the way I'm still waiting for Mangagamer to finally localized Da Capo 4, and yet here we are with Circus already prepared for Da Capo 5 (I suppose there's a reason on why Circus is infamous with the milking). As for the trailer, to be honest I have no much comment on this other than it's probably set some times after Da Capo 4 for the most obvious guess. -
Ninetailz, well looking from your post history I can say that I can't exactly remember you here even though you're suppose to be active at around the same time when I started to be active here. That said, welcome back to Fuwanovel and I hope that you'll once again enjoy yourself here.

While the second reason on not to read it is sounds silly to you, to me it's still a big factor for anyone else who want to read it, even with the excuse that the remaining of the untranslated routes are pretty much can't hold a candle to the rest of the translated route (And I know the exact reason on why the translator didn't want to translate it). As for whether the untranslated routes can't really hold the candle because of the high number of sex scenes, preferably it would be the best to leave such opinion to the fans after they read it (And of course if the fans did find out that the routes are indeed quite bad as you said, then they can understand why you said it in the first place). Besides, if the VN is indeed quite good, then the so-called bad untranslated routes here shouldn't stop the fans to keep liking the VN even after reading the routes. tldr - I still find out that it's too bad the two routes of it are untranslated even after knowing the unbalanced distribution of sex scenes, but I also realized that nothing can be done if the translator didn't want to do it in the first place. Besides, it's not like this is the first time I experienced this, seeing that there's also Ginharu with Trip can only manage to translate three routes fully. PS - I already elaborate my opinion on the second reason on why everyone wouldn't want to read Harugi here, so I'll just say that the first reason is pretty much quite silly seeing that the art here is not on Ryukishi level (In fact, it can still hold up pretty well against newer VNs). For the third reason, well the reader can just search the reviews by themselves if one need review in the first place.
-
Honestly speaking, as much as entitled as he is for someone who can just read it in Japan, Narcosis here has a point on how the translator should try to translate everything including good and bad parts, so that the fans can make a good judgement on the whole work instead of the fans can only get what the translator perceived as good. That said though, of course we can't force someone to translate the routes that he didn't want to worked on anymore. So in the end I can only say that while it's too bad that Harugi here is still partially translated, we shouldn't force the translator to translate more than what he want to do. PS - I believe that rather than speculate whether the untranslated routes are good or not, I should give the spoiler in regard of it below (From the translator himself) so that you can judge the routes by yourself. Of course, if you want to read it in Japan then obviously you mustn't open the spoiler. Whether it's good or not I'll leave it to you, but it's should be obvious that what will happen in the rest of the untranslated routes.

Anime of the Year 1994-I Winter - Shonan Junai Gumi!
littleshogun commented on kivandopulus's blog entry in Anime of the Season
Tico and Friends - Like you say it's another World Masterpiece Theater, although this time it's not adapted from any Western literature but instead it's the original story from the production team themselves, which predictably lead to some divisive moment because some fans can't simply accept the series of World Masterpiece Theater from the original story. It's also broadcasted in Indonesia, although I just find out about it through Youtube comment instead of watch it directly. Final Fantasy Legend - The reason on why people play FFV is not for the story anyway, but instead it's just for the gameplay in which it's drastic improvement of the Job System gameplay from III and if I'm right the Job System from FFV would be the basic for future Job System in future FF with some tweak. When it come to anime adaptation, obviously IV or VI would be better option when it come to the old game that should be adapted. Then again, I see that the staffs might be just want to make the OVA so the sequel of FFV should be sufficient enough (Although it may alienated the original fans of FFV). Akazukin Cha Cha - It was broadcasted in Indonesia, and I remember I watch it at each Saturday morning. Obviously the anime staff here want to compete with Sailor Moon so much that they made Cha Cha as transforming magical girl in which it's not happen in the manga, and from what I see the manga is just another gag manga with Cha Cha failure on magic (Well okay there's a lot of it in the anime as well). Obviously other than try to compete with Sailor Moon, the staffs here did make Cha Cha as transforming magical girl simply to allow them to do less animation work for each of the episodes because they can just insert the transformation scene for each episodes. That's all for what I can comment in regard of Winter 1994 anime. -
Ah yes Hatsumira, in that it's one of lengthy isekai VN in that it's not just for the sake of fetish (Like the stuffs that Miel produce) or shown that the MC is basically overpowered with cheat skills (Which curiously still rare outside the older VNs such as Aselia or Duel Savior, in which even then it's just barely similar). Too bad that it seems to be quite underrated, but at least Frontwing here willing to release their VNs even with their problematic Kickstarter.
-
I guess I should say welcome back in this case, and I hope that you'll have fun in here just like in the past.
-
Welcome to Fuwanovel and that's quite an introduction here (By the way I never spent 16 hours a day just to read a book, although yeah I spent some times to read the manga online). Anyway if you need some recommendations for the VN, feel free to ask us. For the answer of your question, well let's just say that I've never experienced that. Lastly I hope that you'll have fun in here PS - As for Vermillion Bind of Blood, it's one of light VNs. If you interested to read something like that and has a lot of words, perhaps you may considering another light VNs such as Dies Irae or Senshinkan.
-
It's more or less open secret that Frontwing just use KS as the way for the pre-order, so no need to wait for physical release. Then again if not for the people who still back their KS hoping for physical release, I suppose we may not be able to have new Frontwing releases in the first place. All in all, I'm pretty much indifferent seeing that I never back any of it, although it's quite bad if anyone else who back it in order to support them and have the hope to get the stuff that they're wishes (At least Frontwing is still active to a degree, unlike Sol Press). PS - By the way it's almost a year in regard of their promise for Sharin update, and as expected there's still nothing in regard of it until now (Well at least they're sort of ready to show the progress that almost nobody would care of soon, so that's something).

Anime of the Year 1993-IV Fall - Fortune Quest: Yo ni mo Shiawase na Boukensha-tachi
littleshogun commented on kivandopulus's blog entry in Anime of the Season
I'll comment on Jojo and Black Jack later when the anime series of those aired later, and for the info 1993 Jojo anime here adapted Part 3. I only know two sports anime from this season that coincidentally are produced by Toei and aired in Indonesia, so I'll comment on those two. Slam Dunk - While at first Hanamichi was interested with Haruko, near the middle of the series he find himself enjoying basketball even with initial friction with the captain. By the way even with lengthy episodes number here, the anime is ended just before the team compete in national championship in that the manga goes a bit more to cover it up to the second round. Slam Dunk manga here is quite popular in Japan, so much that the author got the award for popularize the basketball through the manga. Shoot - Out of all sport anime that broadcasted in Indonesia this one is easily the darkest one because it has character death with the death one is the MC idol Yoshiharu Kubo. Back when I watch it, there's no death in the previous sports anime so naturally Kubo's death surprised me. Other than surprise death of one character, no much I can say in regard of it. That's all for my comment in regard of Autumn 1993 anime.
