  1. From what I read in TV Trope, at least I can say that Outlaw Star protagonist team is an interesting one. For Perfect Blue, let's just say that the movie's story is still relevant even after a quarter century passed, especially with on how dark can be when it come to entertainment industry in Japan (Doubly so when we know that there's the recent manga Oshi no Ko which depict the similar situation). By the way none of Winter 1998 anime here are broadcasted in Indonesia, so that's all for my comment on it.
  2. I don't know Miyu much, so I can't comment much of it. For Battle Athlete, I only know that it also has the reboot version in 2021. 1997 Berserk anime here is obviously the best one, with 2016 version has a lot of trouble behind production and thus can't deliver enough quality, and it didn't help that Berserk is quite hard to adapt in the first place seeing that it's still ongoing and that it has very nice drawings that the late mangaka work very hard on it. For the info the manga is still unfinished yet, so you may wait for a very long time if you want to see the conclusion of it. That's all for my comment in regard of Autumn 1997 anime.
  3. Another update in which it inform that Irru will take a rest until the next year, but more importantly it also tell us that we'll going to have Mizuha's patch release on 26th later with all of the process are already done. So you can note the date if you've been waiting for playing Mizuha's route, although it's okay if you chose to wait until Yuzuki's patch release. That's all for the update here.
  4. As long as the engine didn't change, the save from Sagaoz should be still compatible. So yeah it should work, although as for Rewrite+ case then I don't know.
  5. Welcome to this week VNTS Review, and as for the title I shall tell it in PS later even though it should be obvious. As for this week, well to be very blunt not much interesting even with EXTRA2 release, which while admittedly has good production value (Having good graphic and the opening song) on top being one of the better VN in 2022, although in the end it's just a fandisc. We also have Mangagamer released their nukige, and let's just say that said release is not what I want from Mangagamer the most. Lastly we still have some updates from fan translation as usual, so in the end I suppose this week is overall below average. Let's see what I can write in regard of it. Mangagamer did release Hentai Public Service, and once again it's not exactly what I expect from back when Mangagamer announce their December release because I expect Rance IX. Then again, programming the gameplay VN is quite a pain, so perhaps IX still not ready for the release yet. As for the premise, from what I understand in the synopsis we have Jin who is a new public servant on an organization that was tasked to protect the citizen from sexual frustration (Really, that's what the synopsis tell us). So yeah, in here we'll follow Jin and his fellow female workers who dressed in a tacky manner solve the sexual related problem that happen in their neighborhood, and of course they would have a lot of sex being nukige and all. Also honestly speaking I don't find the art is appealing, but different strokes for different people so perhaps some may find the art very exciting. Go get the VN if you want to play it and already been waiting for the release, and have fun. For fan translation updates, we have Chrono's translator released a partial patch that translate three quarter of it, so if you've been desperate to play the nukige then yeah you can try the patch, although it may be better to just waiting seeing that its been already at 80% translated along with three quarter proofread. As for the rest of the updates, we have Shin Koihime Musou is at 61% edited, Ciel's route of Tsukihime Remake has been edited up to day 9 along with has been finalized up to day 7, Planetarian Snow Globe is at 72% translated, Senmomo is at 82.64% edited with Chapter 6 is at 87.75% edited, and H2O is at 67.4% translated with Yui's route is past halfway (59.7%) translated. Almost forget to mention that recently Nursery Rhyme's translator give the update in regard of it, and as of now currently the testing is still ongoing with the crash is still ongoing so that the translator did develop a fix for it Last but definitely not the least, we have Aokana EXTRA2. While I did say that it's just a fandisc, actually it's quite an important release for sprite seeing that they've been bankrupt before even manage to develop this, and they manage to do it thanks to Aokana's sales by Nekonyan. As for the premise of EXTRA2, the most obvious things is that it's Aokana fandisc for Misaki with the timeline is at around her route ending, and interestingly the content is quite different from EXTRA1. Namely that unlike EXTRA1 where the focus is just on how Masaya and Mashiro tried to being the best romantic partner, in here there's some focus on Aokana's main sport, Flying Circus, which make sense seeing that Misaki is one of strong Flying Circus player. While obviously there's still some romance like in EXTRA2, in here Misaki also need to deal with her fame and on how she will take the Flying Circus from now on. Other than obviously put more focus on Misaki, the FD also address a certain plot point that was teased since the main game. Go get EXTRA2 from one of many stores (JAST, Denpasoft, Steam, Mangagamer) if you want more Misaki, and have fun. That's all for what I can write in regard of this week, and see you next week. PS - As for the title, because we have another Aokana FD (EXTRA2) released once again I did make a parody of Kaleido Star anime by changing 'Star' into 'Sky' just like my past VNTS Review, and I add 'OVA 2' as the subtitle in order to synchronized it with EXTRA2. For more elaboration, Aokana here did have a fictional sports called Flying Circus along with having sky as it's motif and Kaleido Star anime here focused on circus, while as for OVA here it's more or less the episodes that weren't broadcasted on TV so usually the animator would be more daring to draw the contents. By the way I just copied what I did wrote in regard of the title from the VNTS Review back when EXTRA1 released, although obviously I changed the number.
  6. Well not what I had in mind when I imagine a big title here, but I guess it's still a big one for some people. Personally speaking I prefer Mangagamer released Rance IX over this, but whatever. Then again doing the testing for gameplay VN is quite a pain indeed from what I'd read, so perhaps IX is still not ready for the release. That aside, well it's definitely for visual excitement being nukige and all, although personally I didn't favor the art so whatever (I'm sure that there are fans who like the art though). Anyway congratulation to Mangagamer in regard of the release, and hopefully we can have more interesting release in 2023 later, with either Raillore or Sona-Nyl.
  7. Well it's quite a dilemma indeed to be either family man or a weeb, and good luck with the testing there.
  8. Well you know it's been a very long wait to have seen this translated when even slight number change in TLC tab on the final script file warrant a forum post. That aside, well good luck to translator to TLC-ed the last ~90% of the last script file.
  9. Visual Novel Translation Status (11/12/2022) Since we have Mahoyo release and that our Nasu was inspired by Evangelion when he wrote it, may as well make the reference to the Evangelion opening song title Cruel Angel Thesis with I changed 'Angel' into 'Sorcerer' so we have 'Cruel Sorcerer Thesis' as this week VNTS Review title. Also while I know that the official translation is 'Witch of the Holy Night', I felt that 'Sorcerer' here may be the most appropriate translation for 'Mahoutsukai', at least according to the article from Japanese with Anime (Also yes I already check the Japanese terms). The title aside, as for this week at least I can say that this is an interesting one compared to the last week especially with Mahoyo release, although personally speaking I'm more interested with Shiravune's plan to release Otome Domain. Overall with Mahoyo release and several updates I think this week is quite interesting, and let's see what I can write in regard of it. Other than Mahoyo actually we also have two releases, and what I can say those releases are more or less full of passion because those releases are nukige. The first one is Cherry Kiss VN Knocking Up my Nympho Neighbors in that it has the premise exactly as the translated title said, in that the MC will has a lot of passionate love making with the big breasted neighbors because they're quite tired after long days of works with our MC job is to calmed down through the neighbors' mind with sex (What else). Anyway go get Cherry Kiss nukige if you're interested with it and have fun. The second release is fan translated Oppai no Ouja 48, and from what I understand it's the nukige about breast obsessed MC who somehow gain access to participate in a matching breast game with the prize is to have sex with the breast's owner if the MC find out the matching breast. At least the graphic is quite good I suppose, and feel free to try the VN if you're interested with it. For fan translation updates, we have Chronos is at 60% proofread, Akagoei FD was fully translated (I know that Daybreak was mentioned the plan to translate Virgin Road (ie Tsujidou's FD), although I won't count on it yet), Senmomo is at 81.27% edited with Chapter 6 is at 71.58% edited, ChuSingura is at 16.79% translated, H2O is at 62.9% translated with Yui's route is at 34.6% translated, and Licia's chapter of Eustia is at 94.25% in programming which bring the overall progress is at 98.92% in programming. Oh yes we also have some updates from JAST, although said updates are in the Discord though. For the updates, we have Onigokko FD was fully translated and editing and about to entering QA along with Tokyo Hero Project was fully translated. Shiravune did announce that they'll release Otome Domain on 22nd later, and I should say that out of recent Shiravune recent announcement I find that it's the most interesting announcement, especially because I've been waiting for the VNs that has trap MC and female heroines in which so far the only translated one are Otoboku and Heart de Roomate (To be blunt I don't like the latter graphic). Otome Domain itself is from Palette instead of ensemble (At one time I thought that it's another ensemble VN because they usually specialized on trap VN), so yeah the art is still good even with Tsubasu didn't design the characters in Otome Domain. While there's Bokukotsu cameo in there, turned out that it's only for trial version so don't expect Bokukotsu cameo in the full version later. That said Otome Domain here is basically still has same set up as Bokukotsu anyway, with one MC (Which some dub him as the best girl lol) need to taken care his dormmates because the dormmates are too incapable to taken care themselves. Last but not the least there's Mahoyo release back on 8th. Apparently it's only for download version for overseas release with Japanese region get the physical version, although ultimately it's just same difference seeing that all version has English language support anyway. Mahoyo itself is the very first work from Nasu before writing Tsukihime, and back then he was inspired by Evangelion so much that he design the three main characters (Aoko, Soujuurou, and Alice) based on the Evangelion main trio (Asuka, Shinji, and Rei). For the premise, Mahoyo here has Aoko (Shiki's teacher in Tsukihime) who somehow find Soujuurou stumbled upon Aoko's secret place to learn sorcery with Alice, and one way or another Soujuurou joined both of Aoko and Alice in their daily life. While the premise looks like a slice of life story, it should be mentioned that there'll be some battle with very good graphic and effect, so yeah it should be good VN for Type Moon fans even though it's (Supposedly) only the first part out of the planned trilogy. Go get Mahoyo if you've been waiting for years and have Switch, and have fun. That's all for what I can write in regard of this week, and see you next week.
  10. Welcome to Fuwanovel, although perhaps I should say welcome to Introduction page lol (Well it happen that I also did the same when I made the introduction thread some times after joining the forum). In case you're in 'special' mood to read the VNs (Which to say very understandable), feel free to ask for recommendation here. Lastly I hope that you'll enjoy yourself here just like in the past.
  11. Welcome to Fuwanovel and sorry for the belated greeting, @Maleiwa Games. No much to say here other than good luck with your team there and I hope that you'll have fun in here.
  12. Flame of Recca - Like you say it's more or less like Yu Yu Hakusho, although at least the manga here is ended nicely unlike Yu Yu Hakusho one. Of course though things goes differently for the anime in that it's only adapt halfway of the manga with the last episodes here are obviously rushed. By the way while I know that it's also broadcasted in Indonesia, I did watch this fully through Animax. Princess Mononoke - Out of all Ghibli anime movie, this is one of the movie that was very successful up to 1997. There's a lot of interesting things to discuss, with the most obvious things is man vs. nature in which it's not all black and white here seeing that both sides obviously have some things that they want to convey no matter what, and sometimes it can be resulted in a conflict even with both sides initially have good intentions. In the end, whether you want to see it as intellectual or not is up to each of their own. End of Evangelion - According to Anno (Or so that's what I'd read), this is on how he envisioned the real ending of Evangelion, and well let's just say that not everyone on board with the ending for the obvious reason, especially Anno's protege Tsurumaki Kazuya who said that the original finale is fine enough. If anything else, at least I can say that it definitely have fans, so much that it can cause some debate between the fans in regard on which Evangelion ending that was the most fitting (ie the best ending). That's all for what I can comment in regard of Summer 1997 anime.
  13. Utena - From what I understand it gather a lot of GL fans thanks to the premise with the female become the knight in order to rescue the girl. The director himself is the main director of Sailor Moon from R onward, although he quit because he felt the lack of creative control in Toei. Another thing that I understand from Utena is that apparently it's sort of deconstruction work for several tropes, which help that the director is being friend of Evangelion director so there's some Evangelion influence in Utena or something like that. This work is obviously quite influential, so much that people still remember it by calling the newest Gundam premise being influenced by Utena to a degree. Kindaichi - I definitely can say that just glance the first three episodes here should be more than enough to get the idea of what the series will offer, especially where the anime did slightly loosely adapt the manga (In fact I notice that some manga cases are not adapted in 1997 series). Like I mention beforehand, Kindaichi here is dealing with serial murder and locked room, and of course airtight alibi here is very common as well. Unlike Conan here Kindaichi obviously has no overarching plot, in which I can say that it's for the best after seeing a lot of times where Gosho keep teasing the main plot progression in Conan. Kindaichi here is the source of inspiration for Aoyama Gosho on writing Conan, and yet here we are have Conan far more popular compared to Kindaichi (At least in the overseas). Cooking Master Boy - It's the English name for Chuuka Ichiban, and yes it's the anime about cooking show in 19th century of China. As for the anime itself, the first 23 episodes here can still be realistic to a degree (Although having best chef as someone equal to the General rank in military is definitely not), and it start to become less realistic where the stuffs such as Legendary Cooking Utensils and Dark Cooking Society introduced in which the latter is copied in Shokugeki no Souma finale (And cause the last arc to become infamous). The anime itself is cut short with only three out of eight utensils found out, and seeing that the manga is rushed perhaps it's for the best. There's also 2019 anime of this as well, although compared to 1997 anime I seen that not much people cares for the newer version. That's all for what I can write in regard of Spring 1997 anime.
  14. Well turned out that Shiravune is the one who will localize this, which is good seeing that I predict that they'll localize this in my post above even though obviously I sort of doubt about it. With the announcement now we can say for certain that the project here is more or less dead, and it's also available on Johren as well so at least the sex scenes should be intact.
  15. The update from Committee of Zero below. I suppose we may as well have Noah fix patch as the Christmas gift from them, and with the update obviously it mean that the wait is almost over here. No much to say here other than there's some nice work on the CG there. PS - If anything else for all of it's fault, at least this time the publisher remember to add mouse support for the PC version unlike back in Robotic Notes in that we need to wait for the fix patch just for mouse support.
  16. Well turned out that I didn't need to wait until 2023 before finally see the penultimate script file fully TLC-ed, and of course the 8 lines TLC-ed from the last script file is very nice. Good luck to the translator in regard of working on the last script file there.
  17. Good luck with the group there, and perhaps I can try to join it some times later.
  18. The glasses girl remind me a certain character from Mon Colle Knight (The old anime) when I saw it first, although now that I see it's looks more like Cocoa from NG Lamune (Another old anime). Well at least it certainly resemble the retro art if one of the female character did remind me of the old anime, although honestly speaking I can't comment much on this. Well have fun to anyone else who already played this and enjoyed it.
  19. Dog of Flanders (Which I mistakenly wrote it as Flandre in the past lol) here is quite popular in Japan so much that it caused Japanese tourism boom to Antwerp (The main setting), and that obviously the town government welcome them with the open hand. It should be mentioned there's a reference of it in Bocchi the Rock episode 8 in that it parodied the famous ending of 1975 anime (The one when the angels descend to the lifeless boy and his dog). For Mach Go Go, the one that I watched first is 1997 version in which it's obviously has better graphic compared to 1960's version. By the way both version are aired in Indonesia, and I only glance 1960's version a bit. Oh yes Mach Go Go itself is about the driver that has the car with several cool gadgets, and the driver obviously will use it to solve the problem that he face in the car. That's all for what I can comment in regard of Winter 1997 anime.
  20. Late to the party here. While I know that Aoishiro already has translation and thus technically it's a redundant release, I still sort of looking forward to it because the translation patch that we have is basically incomplete. Granted that it's already translate the story text which obviously is the most important thing in the VNs, but Aoishiro here also has flowchart and encyclopedia in which those two are still untranslated, so hopefully Success here would do the reasonable thing by translating those two features. For Akai Ito obviously I look forward to it, because the only way to read it in English is through the available 88% translation patch, and more importantly finally Success will release Akai Ito for PC because back in 2004 they only released the PS2 version (And yet they somehow released the trial of it for PC version). In the end, I can say that I'll look forward to the eventual release of both, and with Akai Ito English version available hopefully more people would be interested to read it even though the story may be not as good as you expect. That said, I afraid that it may took a big number of HDD seeing that Aoishiro's size is already big enough for 2008 VN, and for comparison it's about the same size as Baldr Sky in which it's more reasonable seeing that it has two parts. PS - I should say that the graphic for both VNs can still rival some of the newer VNs even in non-HD version, although my impression may be wrong on that.
  21. Very late to the party, so sorry for the necro here. Anyway as for Fire Emblem I suppose it's time to lament that Nintendo still hasn't released post Awakening game for the nth time (Same goes with Xenoblade), and that apparently it'll featuring the heroes from the past Fire Emblem (There's a mechanic to summon those). Square Enix here milk FF7 yet again through Crisis Core Remake, and if anything else it should be good to anyone else who have Switch and yet their PC can't run PSP emulator smoothly. Speaking of Square, apparently both of their released game (Harvestella and Various Daylife) got some lukewarm responses, but if anything else at least they'll willing to experiment. No much comment of Octopath Traveler 2 other than it's not like Golden Sun aesthetic wise, and good for Square that they realized the potential money behind their good OST so much that they made a rhythm game based on it. While some if not most people did criticize Rune Factory 5 for not bringing something different other than graphic and same sex marriage, honestly speaking I doubt if I can going back to Rune Factory 4 easily. Doubly so with Rune Factory 3 here in that it's obviously the remake for DS version, and seeing that it has a high number of bachelorette (Up to 11) on top that it has no female MC obviously it'll be hard to go back to that. Oh yes I also remember that my siblings play Harvest Moon A Wonderful Life in PS2, and the PS2 version has the darker color while the remake here will have colorful interface (I doubt that I'll play the remake though even with female MC and same sex marriage). I also see the teaser in regard of next Rune Factory, and I'll see what it lead to. If anything else I hope that the staffs fixed some things that the fans criticized in regard of Rune Factory 5, especially with the slowdown in Switch version. I tried both of Atelier Mysterious and Dusk trilogy, and obviously the former is more colorful compared to the latter. I also want to try Ryza, although I'm too lazy to set it up on top that my laptop may not be able to play it (It's already a struggle to set up Atelier Lydie, and it's with newer version with the older version is worse in that it's very slow). As for Ryza 3, well I can only say that this time Gust manage to write the single MC across the trilogy (It definitely help that Ryza's design has some merit for the male fanbase) whereas in the past usually the MCs between Atelier trilogy are keep changing in each games. That's all for my belated comment on Nintendo Direct 2022.
  22. Obviously it would be very awkward to post the link to my VNTS Review here, so may as well just straight up comment on some opinion here. For December When There is No Angel VN (What a coincidence that we have two VNs based on December announced on when it's about to be December with another one is obviously Eve of December (Or 12th Month if you prefer consistency)), it's a deal darker than White Album 2 with one of the heroine want to be useful, and her step is to had sex with the MC which obviously very messed up. Interesting to note that there's a difference of the average scores between Erogamescape and VNDB, so perhaps this might be an example on how two regions have different taste. Mahoyo is another VN that has time setting on December (Again), and yes it's only available for console. Although seeing on how fans quickly patch English text of Eiyuu Senki to PC version as soon as the PS3 version of it released in 2015, it should be more than possible to have Mahoyo fans port the translation into PC version (Assuming that they're satisfied with the translation). By the way 4chan here is quite late to report that Mahoyo release date will be on 8th later. Overall I guess saying that last week is quite slow is not wrong here, and so does for this week even with Tsukihime Remake finally fully translated. I just hope that by Christmas we may see some nice releases and update, although I'm not putting much hope into it.
  23. Well as for that I afraid that Kirari (The name of the villainess character) may not fulfill the kind of villainess character that you're hoping seeing that she's more or less quite tame compared to the villainess in the manga/light novel, in which Rika here looks like more textbook example on the villainess there. So perhaps it might be better to tone down the expectation, although perhaps you may find yourself to like Kirari later on. I agree that it would be nice if some people can port Aksys otome VN into PC version, although perhaps Idea Factory are far more interested to port their usual RPG instead of trying to port otome VN. Speaking of them, while at least they'll also release Neptunia Sisters vs Sisters on PC later, I'm still waiting for them to finally released Mary Skelter Finale for PC later. By the way I did mention Idea Factory because all of Aksys licensed console otome VNs are produced by them, and yeah the exception of the otome VNs that are available on PC are not ported by Idea Factory.
  24. Visual Novel Translation Status (04/12/2022) Because we have Lover Pretend in which it finally has the villainess otome VN character (Even if for one route only) and said character work as the gravure model, I made reference of a certain 'reincarnated into villainess otome' manga, Accomplishments of the Duke's Daughter, by changing 'Duke's Daughter' into 'Gravure Model' so we have 'Accomplishments of the Gravure Model' as this week VNTS Review title. Anyway welcome to this week VNTS Review, and if I may summarize this week it would be slightly below average to me, but if anything else at least we still have some updates with the biggest one is Tsukihime Remake was fully translated. Let's see what I can write in regard of this week. Aksys released Lover Pretend, and out of all translated otome VN so far it's the only one that purely featuring usual romance drama instead of having very interesting premise. As for the premise, we have Chiyuki who work as the assistant of the script writer tasked to write about love. Seeing that Chiyuki has never experienced romance in the first place, obviously the job would be very hard to her. That said, she did very best so that she can write the best script in order to fulfill her two dream, to be the best scriptwriter like her late mother and to find about her missing father who according to the clue that her mother left is that the one who involved in drama may know something about it. Little did she know that she'll learn about love through her new job, in which she'll end up with one of five heroes. Go get Lover Pretend if you have Switch (Unfortunately still no Steam release here) and been looking forward to it, and have fun. For this week fan translation we have Chronos is at three quarter translated, 14 out of 138 script files for Umi kara Kuru Mono are translated, Anzu's route of Akagoei FD is at 70% translated, Senmomo is at 80.67% edited with Chapter 6 is at 64.45% edited, ChuSingura is at 16.37% translated, and H2O is at 56.7% translated with Hinata's route is fully translated (By the way the translator already decided to work on Yui's route along with the rest of Root After and Another contents before going back to translate Otoha's route). There's also another update in regard of Eiyuutan in which the translator already finished translate all of 10 script files for Aisha's route in Episode 1 (Excluding the sex scenes), and turned out that the true number of script files in Episode 1 is 23 script files, so currently we have 10 out of 23 script files of Eiyuutan first episode are translated. We finally have all Ciel's route of Tsukihime Remake are fully translated, which obviously mean that all of Tsukihime Remake are fully translated. That said though, obviously it didn't mean that we can get the translation patch directly because there's still some works left to do, such as editing and finalizing, in which the translator already worked on those two in the past (Ciel's route up to day 8 is already edited while at the same time Ciel's route has been finalized up to day 6). Speaking of fully translated, we also have all of Yoshitsune's route of Majikoi A-5 is fully translated, which mean Majikoi A-5 here is fully translated, although of course we still need to wait for the polishing works (ie TLC and editing works) before the release. Almost forgot to mention that Mangagamer released Detective Masochist 3, and I can only say whatever to that nukige (Go get it though if you want more Detective Masochist after playing the previous two prequel). Lastly we have Committee of Zero announced that they'll release Chaos Head Noah fix patch in this month, in which it's already been delayed from initial release plan on October because the high number of bugs, especially the Switch version. Speaking of Noah, while there's a lot of mistake so much that Committee of Zero urge the player to wait for the fix patch, at least this time PC version of Noah has mouse support unlike Robotic Notes where we need to wait for the fix patch in order to have mouse support on PC version of Robotic Notes. That's all for what I can write in regard of this week, and see you next week.
  25. Considering that Zwei Trigger response here is pretty much lukewarm (Even though it has Nine and Nanairo Reincarnation writer) and that Akuma to Yoru is somewhat unknown, I would say that Same to Ikiru Nanonakan here is the only sensible candidate for VN of the Month in November 2022, although of course you may say otherwise. Anyway as far as CUBE VN goes it's the most bloody one because of the shark, and one of the review mention that it's like the shark movie. Seeing that both of Shiravune and Nekonyan now hold the number of licenses for CUBE VNs (Or rather the VNs from the same company group), it may be possible that one of them will license Same to Ikiru in the future, although then again it's just my wishful thinking. No much to say here other than what I did write above, so that's all for my comment on November 2022 releases.
