Well, let's just say that December 2024 is nicer compared to December 2022, especially with three of its release are available in English. For the detective VNs, I can only mention the one from Entergram and it's because the artist drew the MC like Azusa in Since Memories (I know it's her style, but this time it's really noticeable). Anyway, I should try to comment on the releases here. Tir na Nog - In theory this is the joint project between Azarashi and Cuff, although in practice this is more like usual Cuff (And thus Cube) VNs. Anyway, the name is pretty much telling us this will be lighthearted moege, seeing Tir na Nog is the equivalent of paradise in Celtic mythology with the title can be very roughly translated as 'Eternal Paradise'. From the premise, well it's like Kakenuke in which the casts will tried to spent their summer to do everything they could to enjoying life, although apparently the casts will uncover the secret that lies in the so-called paradise. LingerieS - Considering on how one of the fanservice in the VNs is usually the heroines only wore the lingerie, it's surprising to not see the nukige based on the lingerie store with the closest one if Negligee (GL OELVN) until now, although then again it may be because the store clerk for that need to be female so much the staff need to make the MC as the androgynous. Rambling aside, this VN is about Aoi who said to be as beautiful as his older twin sister suddenly asked to take care of his older sister lingerie store, and so he was does his best to do so while crossdress as his sister. From there, Aoi entering the world of lingerie, and he'll encounter the romance with one of his customers, Aisu. The VN itself is released as the first part of serial VN, so we may have more parts for the other female characters, doubly so seeing Aoi can have sex with more than one girl. Holy Undead - One of Steam reviewer did somehow decided to ban this despite this is the VN by Visual Arts, although turned out there's two suggestive CG which I assumed still left in the build and the reviewer feel the CG was too stimulating for them. Steam reviewer fiasco aside, at least it's good this is now available with English language support. For the story, it's about the necromancer who cast a spell to make him reincarnated as the undead king before he was defeated by a hero, although instead he was reincarnated as the hero's daughter, Yuricia, with she has high power of holy element. Being former male necromancer, she judge her follower based on the potential as undead while at the same time understandably indifferent with the handsome men. By the way if you feel that its like usual reincarnation work, it's because the VN was made based on the web novel from the contest winner, and looking from the ending it seems the story is still continuing. Tanetsumi no Uta - The art is definitely resemble Jellyfish Can't Swim in the Night anime which I watched in Spring 2024, although I just realized it after I saw the name of the artist back in December. Anyway, this VN is about 16 years old girl Misuzu who lost her mother at her young age suddenly was visited by her late mother, Yoko, at her 16. To complicate matter, both do time travel to the future where they visited Misuzu's future 16 years old daughter Tsumugi. From there, the 16 years girls across three generation do the journey to save the land in another world with Hiruko who claimed to be Mizusu's brother. For the games, let's just say there'll be a number of family moments which make sense seeing all four of the main casts are the family members. Out of those four, well I'm going to say that the VN of the Month for December 2024 goes to Tanetsumi no Uta simply because it has the highest average score. That's all for what I can comment in regard of December 2024 releases.

Nursery Rhyme Translation Project
littleshogun replied to Chifuyu-chan's topic in Translation Projects
Well unfortunately there's no new year release, so I'll just assume they're have some real life issue when it come to working on this. Also if you need the news about this one, then they'll update it here when they ready seeing so far this is the only place where they gave the updates (No idea if they have Discord or not). -
Science Fantasy – Genre Deep Dive
littleshogun commented on Pallas_Raven's blog entry in Towards The End Sky
I did learn that science fantasy was the part of the sub-genre of science fiction in the first day of 2025. Anyway, like mod Clephas mentioned science fantasy here is pretty much prevalent in the JRPG, in which the setting had them using the technology from the very advanced ancient civilization while at the same time the casts can also utilize magic, and such setting is also prevalent in the recent isekai story (Presumably to make the setting more easy for the modern target audience to do the self-insert). Being the parody of JRPG series, obviously Rance series also included as science fantasy with the technology is basically equal to modern Japanese while the casts can also use magic and skill. Well, no much that I can talk about this topic, so that all for what I can talk about it. -
Anime of the Year 2024-I Winter - Kingdom 5th Season
littleshogun commented on kivandopulus's blog entry in Anime of the Season
Well you really finally almost catching up with the most recent anime now that you cover Winter 2024 anime, which mean I'm going to coming into familiar territory starting now. Anyway, let's see what I can comment in regard of both Autumn 2023 and Winter 2024 anime here. Tearmoon Empire - An user did make a blogpost about it here, so I decided to take a look on it. To summarize, it's about the spoiled princess Mia who live in the kingdom that face the revolution as the result of the poverty with Mia herself got guillotined, and she find herself in several years before the happening. Obviously being afraid of guillotine, Mia does try her best even with her limited intelligence, unknowingly change the the people around her to be better simply because Mia was not act as spoiled princess anymore. Frieren - While Anya of Spy x Family bring Kirihana into attention, Frieren definitely put her on the map with she voiced the titular Frieren. For the story, it's about Frieren who find herself lost the purpose after she defeat the demon king together with the hero party, and moreso after she lost two of its fellow party member while she herself was still alive thanks to her being elf. So in order to spend her time, she decided to retrace her journey with the party member. Also yes I know it currently rank first at MAL defeating FMAB, and unlike Interspecies Reviewer this time it's more make sense seeing Madhouse do the good job on the anime adaptation. Frieren here always employ the flashback whenever possible, which in the series make sense considering it mean she reflect her past journey and it also help the audience to see more of the hero even with he was already dead (So much the hero manage to be the most popular character in the poll). By the way, I did skip the second cour for personal reason despite Madhouse effort on the battle animation, mainly it has some unsatisfying outcome to me. Anyway, it got second season, which if Madhouse keep adapting two cours per season we may see two of its interesting arcs (Golden Land and Fiala Toll) animated. WPC - Since now Kirihana is on the map, Toei decided to cast her as one of Precure, Iroha aka Cure Friendy. That aside, in WPC we have Iroha who walking her dog Komugi find a mysterious stone, and in usual Precure stuff turned out the stone is contained monster with Komugi turned into a human as the result of her desire to protect Iroha. Afterwards, Komugi herself manage to ansform into Cure Wonderful. After pacified the monster (Which is not through the fighting), the monster turned into the talking sheep Mey Mey who inform the other world called Niko Garden was attacked, and thus he tasked Komugi as Precure to save Niko Garden. Toei did another experiment of not bringing the fighting like in KKPC, with in here it make sense because the monster are animal and it would bad example for children to hit the animal. Oh yes, the series was written by YPC5 duology writer Narita, in which she did bring the successful romance after she failed to do so in HapCha (Which ironically speaking is the least concern to me after see a bunch of the experiments that Toei did in there). 100 Girlfriends - Let's just say it's seemingly impossible for the author to develop 100 heroines at once, but regardless the author manage to stick with it anyway thanks to the MC Rentarou being very competent to handle his quirky girlfriends (It help that the genre of the manga is comedy). For the premise, we have Rentarou who was rejected 100 times was wishing to have a girlfriend, and the God decided to grant his wish. Unfortunately though, the God overcompensate Rentarou by granting him 100 soulmates thanks to the God's carelessness with the girl will die if she didn't become Rentarou's girlfriend. Determined to not make his soulmates dead, Rentarou decided to do his best to search and be the best boyfriend to his soulmates. The anime is quite successful, and it will have the second season in the upcoming Winter 2025. Tank 9999 - It's about the siscon Rude who was banished from the party just because he was tank (Never mind on how useful the job can be to soak the damage in order to have the attacker and supporter do their job properly), and with Rude find his ability was very useful obviously his former party find the difficulties after Rude left the party. Nevertheless, Rude decided to just start his life in his hometown with his beloved sister along with the homunculus that he found. Since this is only have 12 episodes, the finale have Rude dealing with the third enemies with the manga is still ongoing. Overall, I can only say this is not too bad adaptation of the not too bad manga. Apothecary Diary - It's about Maomao who work as the apothecary in the ancient Chinese palace after she was kidnapped by the slave trader, although in practice Maomao ability is very useful in detective work with she helping the palace uncover the schemes that happened around her. Other than the detective stuffs, we also have the side plot which is about Maomao relationship with her superior Jinshi with Maomao initially didn't trust Jishi much. Wrong Way of Using Healing Magic - At the beginning, three friends was thrown into the other world with one of them, Usato, has the affinity for the healing magic with he was just accidentally summoned, with the summon was to search the heroes to fight the demon. Regardless even with non-combat ability, the author manage to find a way to make Usato as overpowered as isekai MCs, namely having Rose (Who remind me Izumi Curtis of FMA) do some very hellish training to Usato with he manage to prove his training shortly after. Like any popular anime it has second season, although compared to the first season I did find it's conflict was too overblown seeing it can be boiled down to childhood friend quarrel goes wrong with the second arc threat being a very harsh tsundere human childhood friend (With Usato took the sideline as the supporting character). 16-bit Sensation - It's about Konoha who want to become the famous illustrator of a VN, although unfortunately she was stuck with the job at the nukige company who prefer to make cheap hypnosis game. One day, she was got several physical copies of the old VNs, and after Konoha opened one of it she was time slipped into 1992. Eventually she was stumbled into the VN company, Alcohol Soft, and Konoha was recruited into working there. It has manga, although the anime was very different with the manga with Konoha is the anime MC. Also there are several references of the VNs (Kanon, Mashiro Iro HD, and Teshi Re-Boot), which is understandable because the artist are former Leaf illustrator. The first episode here did a good job on showing the worry about the future of the VNs, especially with some have express their worry on it. Villainess Level 99 - It's about the random girl who reincarnated into the otome RPG bonus boss Yumiella, and she was destined to be defeated by the female MC Alicia. Seeing Yumiella fate is death for certain had Alicia decided to do 100% completion, Yumiella decided to not interact with Alicia much. However since her level was shown to the public as level 99 (As expected of the bonus boss), it become harder for Yumiella to avoid Alicia. Nevertheless, Yumiella tried her best to avoid her doomed fate. The anime has different ending from the web novel, in which I prefer the anime ending seeing the web novel has some questionable events in the finale. That's all for what I can comment in regard of Winter 2024 anime. -
Welcome to my last VNTS Review for 2024, and for the title because we have Holy Undead with it has the male necromancer reincarnated as the female saint, I decided to just make a parody of Tenshi Re-Boot with I changed 'Tenshi' into 'Necromancer' so we have 'Necromancer Re-Boot'. For the last week of 2024, obviously it's calmer after last two weeks have a number of the releases, although this time there are several releases from fan translation group. Other than the releases, we also have Sekai give us their updates, although I can't exactly say the updates are quite interesting. Overall, the last week of 2024 here is a below average one, and let's see what I can write in regard of it. With 2024 is only two days left, obviously the releases that were slated for 2024 release, Ever Maiden and Knight Case Files, will be delayed, although in case of the latter the publisher already change the release estimation to the next year. Laplacian planned to have another simultaneous release, and this time you won't need to worry about the sex scenes removal like in Aojashin because the VN itself is all age in the first place. Said VN is One Room Yui Hanasaka Memorial in which it's the short VN based on the anime One Room revolving around the character named Yui Hanasaka, which in the anime itself was one of the heroines. I did a bit of searching, and the anime has three seasons with each episodes has the duration four minutes, so basically it's short anime. Another thing that I can see is the art was done by Kantoku, who was worked on Kamikimi and Your Diary character design. Well, in case you show interest with this, Laplacian will release it on January 11th later. I did forgot to mention there's a plan to translate the well-known housewives VN from Alicesoft Tsumamigui 3, although apparently the one who worked on the translation has some shady reputation for using the MTL, so I decided to just wait and see in regard of this until the release time. In case you decided to keep the eyes on it, it'll be available sometimes in the next year. Speaking of Alicesoft, a fan was worked on Sengoku Rance mod called Dai Sengoku Rance with the mod was acknowledge by the former Rance series director (Tada) himself. The mod itself did improve several features from Sengoku Rance while at the same time expanding the scenario after the player united Nippon, so basically the mod adding Kichikuou premise (Rance conquering the whole world) into Sengoku Rance engine. Well, feel free to try if you want to see some sort of Rance X alternative while waiting until Mangagamer finally finished working on it. For Sekai's updates, we have Wagahigh FD is at 70% translated, Nekopara 5 is at 80% translated, and Maiden's Serenade is at three quarter edited. Also it should be obvious that they delayed the release for Amairo Chocolata 3, seeing 2024 is about to be end and yet there's still no news in regard of it. Shiravune decided to add one more release in the next January, and this time they'll release Ochingin nukige in January 14th later so feel free to note the date if you've been waiting for it since Shiravune's announcement. Rattanman finally released Taima Seiko Alice full translation patch, and since there's no info on VNDB I'll just assume that it's about another female fighter who would suffer the inevitable rape down the road. Snowryuujin also finally released Konosora Snow Present, and with no involvement from Pulltop in the translation obviously the sex scenes will be intact so no censorship for their favorite customers (12 years old French girl). That said, Pulltop did some experiment in the title, namely they tried to have 3D sprites which apparently is quite mixed in quality along with mixed save system. For the story, well it's about Aoi who spent some times with Kotori before the event in Flight Diary, so it's more or less created for Kotori fans. Go get Snow Present if you're favorite Konosora heroine is Kotori and want to see more of her, and have fun. Lastly, we have Akagoei 3 update, with it's QA work is currently past 30% mark (30.16%) done. That's all for my last VNTS Review in 2024, and see you next year.

Like mod Clephas said there's no limit when it come to posting something, so there won't be any problem if you want to write a very lengthy post about VNs or any other stuffs. That said, if you curious on which section that has limit, it would be the title in which at most it allow people to post up to 255 characters, which is still quite big limit anyway as long as you didn't post several isekai light novel title in the title column.

Welcome to this week VNTS Review, and because we have Yakin Byouto release with the MC was training the nurses in the hospital in order to become the sex slave, I made a parody of the old nukige Virgin Roster, where its MC was work as the teacher in order to hunt the virgin girl, by changing 'Virgin' into 'Nurse', so we have 'Nurse Roster' as the title. For this week, technically speaking we have a number of releases, although obviously none as big as Hatsuyuki Sakura. That said, at least we have the exact release date announcements for the upcoming big releases, so this week is an above average one. Let's see what I can write in regard of this week as well. Sekai was suddenly released Kuri Kuri Click 3 in which it's about the MC who work with the gravure model that like to do cosplay as the succubus, and no much to say other than good for Sekai to have their backlog reduced again. Speaking of sudden release, we also have LingerieS have sudden release as well. For the premise, we have the MC (Who is apparently looking convincing enough to be mistaken as his older twin sister) was asked to take care of his sister lingerie store while cross-dress as the sister, and the MC reluctantly do his job. From there, he starts to find the depth in the lingerie besides it being the sexy underwear for female, and then he start to find the relationship with one of his customers. Honestly speaking the MC is not as good looking as any trap VN MC, so we better to take the synopsis's word. Anyway, go get the VN if you want to play the VN revolving around lingerie store like Negligee only with no GL element, and have fun. Mangagamer was released Sex Open World, and they decided to do their old tradition in which they'd reveal the exact release date for their next release, which in this case is Battle Scarred Homunculus with said date is January 23rd later. For Sex Open World, it's about Seiya who has sudden encounter with a truck when he tried to save a dog. After the encounter, he obviously arrived in the another world with the world has the prophecy that the man from another world will give birth to a legendary hero that will bring the end to wars that plaguing the world. Obviously with such prophecy, it didn't took long time for Seiya to become the object of political marriage with several female from the higher position vying for Seiya's seed, and Seiya need to impregnate someone or else he'll sent back to the time where he encounter the truck. Thankfully as someone who sent to the another world, Seiya has the power to know when the woman is at the peak of fertility. Nevertheless, the day where Seiya's seed getting milked has just started. Go get that isekai nukige which admittedly it has good graphic if you've been waiting for it, and have fun. Visual Arts released Holy Undead, although somehow Steam was banned the game for some reasons despite it has no explicit sex scenes. Still it was easy to guess why the game was banned, especially with two of its CG are quite explicit for Steam version. That said, you can still purchase it from DLSite with the VN has English language support anyway. Go get Holy Undead if you want to read the VN that adapt the story from the typical reincarnation story of web novel with gender bender, and have fun. Frontwing announce their new work, Perennial Dusk, and it was written by Irotoridori's writer which the setting make it very clear (Especially the mysterious other world which is also in Irotoridori and Sakura Moyu). The premise is about the MC who met the mysterious girl, although unlike Shinku and Kuro the girl has the other personality. No idea if the VN will be lengthy like the author previous works or if Frontwing planned this as serial VN, but at least I know it'll be released sometimes in the next year. For the aforementioned Yakin Byouto release, it was the remake of the VN from defunct Mink. It also quite popular, so much Mink make several spin-off of Yakin Byouto. Shiravune released the remake version of it, with Ueda Metawo is the one who responsible for the good looking arts in the remake. For the VN itself, it's about the MC Ryuuji who is quite a mad scientist with his lust to experimenting on women beneath his simple appearance as the doctor in the small hospital. One day, he encounter his old classmate in the college who also happen to be his past victim and his fellow doctor, Narumi, and Ryuuji was scared that Narumi will reveal his dark past. However, Narumi propose interesting request to Ryuji to train her nurses as the sex slaves, and he accept the request despite he did suspicious about her motive. Go get Yakin Byouto remake if you want to play some simulation game about training the nurses as the sex slaves by raping them, and have fun. For this week updates, we have Taima Seiko Alice proofreading is 90% done and Akagoei 3 QA work is 28.57% done. Shiravune finally have the exact release date for Kara no Shoujo 3, and said date is January 22nd later so feel free to note the date if you've been waiting for 9 years (Or maybe almost a year if you just read Kara no Shoujo 2 Shiravune version) to see the conclusion of the trilogy. Lastly, Nekonyan finally have the exact release date for Tenshi Re-Boot, and they'll release it on January 24th later so feel free to note the date if you've been waiting for a year thanks to Steam's random ban. That's all for what I can write in regard of this week, and merry Christmas. See you next week.

Well there's quite a number of notable anime all right, which only natural seeing it's just a year since we have Autumn 2023 (Congratulation for almost catching up with the blogpost here). That said, I'll save the talk for some anime later (Particularly Frieren). Magical Revolution - We have Anise who is reincarnated as the older sister of the crown prince with her previous life as the ordinary Japanese girl, and one day she rescued a girl, Euphie, who just had her engagement broken up by the prince. Seeing no place to return, Anise decided to take Euphie under her care, and eventually the romance will be blossomed between them (Obviously this is GL anime). Note that it has some magic stuff in the series, in which it's related on how Anise was in love with magic ever since her previous life and yet she still unable to wield the magic in her new life, so to make up the deficiencies she make the magical tool which eventually lead a way to established the titular Magical Revolution with the aristocrats was too stubborn to accept the magical tool. Stardust Telepath - I still didn't forget on how I find dramatic turn in Chapter 21 of this manga when I read this manga while I accompanied my parents do their first vaccination, especially with the continuation is not available until months later with I only manage to came back to this after the anime was announced. The story is about Umika who is like Bocchi is very afraid of speaking so much she wish to meeting an alien, only to have her wish granted in the unexpected way with she encounter Yuu with she introduce herself as the alien who can read mind through forehead. From there, Umika and Yuu decided to try going into the space with them starting to making rocket model before eventually make a true rocket. Also while Umika seemingly like a weak character just like Bocchi, deep down she prove herself to be quite resilient as some moments shown, especially at the episode 11 and the later in the manga. Also while it would be nice to see the second season this, unfortunately the manga still didn't have the enough materials to be adapted into another 12 episodes. Birdie Wing - Well I definitely learnt some of golf basic from this anime lol. In here, we have Eve who live in poverty and work as the player in an underground golf game. One day after she crushed an experienced golf player, she was challenged by another experienced gold player, Aoi. Unlike the previous player, Aoi turned out to be quite a challenge for Eve and thus she decided to keep challenging her in order to beat Aoi properly. Obviously though, the road to do the rematch is not really easy, seeing Aoi herself is a very rich girl with her mother is the CEO of number one golf company equipment in Japan. Nevertheless, Eve will do anything to finally have the passionate rematch, including transferring into the same school as Aoi. Since this show was made by Bandai, you'll see some Gundam reference if you've been Gundam fans, and also Eve and Aoi rivalry here remind me of Hyuga and Tsubasa rivalry from Captain Tsubasa. Vexations of Shut In Vampire Princess - Komari is a very weak vampire and like to shut herself in the room, and so she was surprised when her doting father was somehow manage to secure her a position of one of the highest general in the vampire empire. Obviously believing herself was very weak, she afraid that her subordinate would like to kill her, and so she tried to do her best to please her subordinate who always support her. Soon, Komari find herself in a big pinch, and turned out that Komari is really powerful after she consume a little drop of blood, although in exchange she'll forgot about it after the battle is over. The anime adapted the three volumes of the novel, and it has ongoing plot with the empire need to fend the terrorist who disrupt the empire with the later volumes revealed there's much more story beneath it. Onimai - Honestly I can see if you've been weirded out by this, especially because I drop the manga and then ignoring the anime before a certain blogpost convince me to give a try to the anime. As for the premise, it's about Mahiro who was drugged by his genius brocon little sister Mihari who was fed up seeing her older brother shut himself in the room, and said drug effect turned him into middle school girl. Seeing no choice, Mahiro just going with the flow with Mihari taking care of her needs to re-entering the middle school with she having fun with her new friends. So yeah ignoring the premise this is more or less CGDCT with the staffs doing the good job on this, which to be expected seeing Studio Bind did the good job on Mushuko Tensei. Gundam Witch of Mercury - Once again this is the only Gundam that I watched, although it may chance with the new Gundam written by Evangelion writer. As far as Gundam matter, I would like to say this is the lighter one with the female MC Suletta transferred into Earth school and became the fiance for Miorine after defeated her previous fiancee. That said, even with it seemingly being light seeing it put some focus on the school life, it still has the moment where it goes bleak, especially with episode 12 ending and the second season of this. Honestly speaking I didn't care much about the robot and political stuffs here, so I'll just say this series also infamous for Bandai made a remark 'it's up to interpretation' in regard of Suletta and Miorine relationship in order to appase some people, never mind that the animator show some detail on how they already married and the animator did made it clear in the additional material later. Yuri is My Job - The story started with Hime who want to become rich and like to lie in the school in order to become popular. One day, she injured a child with the child was turned out to be the owner of the theme cafe inspired from Marimite. Obviously, Hime was forced to take the responsibilities, and so starts her new routine with she tried to get along with her new co-worker, only that it's not as smooth sailing as she thought because for some reason one of them hate Hime very much. The anime was adapted the manga, and it only adapt four volumes, which to say is a good decision seeing the author making the relationship become tangled in the later volumes so much she can't handle it and decided to take a break because of her so-called health issue, so even with some GL anime didn't have second season honestly speaking I don't want this to have second season even with Passione did fine job on the anime. I Favor Villainess - The series is about Rae who like to play otome game for the sake of the villainess character, Claire, with Rae spent her time to learnt about the otome game. One day after she exhausted from work, she suddenly find herself in the class together with Claire with Rae reincarnated as the MC of the otome game. With Rae has her eye on Claire, she set her way to win Claire's affection even though Claire herself responded by bullying Rae. Eventually, both of them getting close and become the couple in the anime finale. While the premise seemingly simple, beneath that the author make full use of the series to show her opinions on LGBTQ issue, especially with the dialogue at the episode 3 and several other plot points in the later series (Which in turn make the otome game become full GL game in a game where the female MC supposed to get the heroes affection). Uma Musume 3 - It's pretty clear the anime is quite successful, seeing the staff announced Oguri Cap anime with it being the adaptation of the manga (I don't know if the nameless trainer guy will be in there or not though). Anyway, For Uma Musume 3 it's about the childhood friend pair Kitasan Black and Satono Diamond with them being the fan of the protagonist pair of second season, although in practice the series is mostly about Kitasan Black who face up and down with she keep several big challenges before finally achieve the big victory in the last episode (With said victory happen after she suffer some major setback), so yeah once again like usual sports anime even with the premise of the horse turned into cute girls. World Dai Star - It's about Kokona who want to enter the theater only to be rejected because she has no Sense, as in Sense in term of theater related superpower instead of sense of acting. One day, she manage to enter the audition in the Sirius troupe. While at first she was quite overwhelmed, thanks to her friend's help, Shizuka, Kokona manage to passed the audition and accepted as the member of the troupe. The first episode here set up the mystery in regard of Shizuka, as in only Kokona that can see Shizuka at that time before she can be seen by everyone in the troupe. Oh yes, since the writer of the anime is Akame ga Kill anime (And by extension Yuuki Yuna and Majikoi), obviously he refer to Teigu when it come to made the setting of Sense. The anime was ended with the Phantom of the Opera performance, with the ending implied the journey has just started. That's all for what I can comment in regard of Autumn 2023 anime here.

Well you can try to message me in order to ask your question, and I'll try to answer as much as I could.

Welcome to this week VNTS Review, and since we have Yamizome Liberator along with Hatsuyuki Sakura (Hatsusaku) released, I decided to make the parody of Vexation of a Shut-In Vampire Princess opening song that was sang by same singer group as Hatsusaku opening, fripside (Even with different vocalist), Red Liberation, by changing 'Red' into 'Sakura' so we have 'Sakura Liberation'. As for this week, let's just say it's quite exciting with Hatsusaku release, although there are some other releases that are worth to note as well. Other than the releases, we also both Shiravune and PQube being active in this week. With that done, let's see what I can write in regard of this week. JAST did manage to release Yamizome Liberator, and I admit I've been waiting for this. Story wise it's more in line with Revenger in which we have the MC corrupted by a demon lord doing his best to corrupted the girls by raping them, which as it turned out help the girls in the long run seeing they have some burden for being chosen as the one to vanquished the demon lord even though the girls are at first understandably upset by the rape. Anyway, in Liberator we have the MC Haruomi is getting back to his world after finished his job as isekai hero, only to suddenly find himself possessed by the demon lord (Which this time is female in order to avoid the fans complained about NTR), and obviously now he was hunted by the goddess chosen heroines. With the demon lord need some help to restore her body, she persuade Haruomi that he may have the chance to fulfill his desire to build the harem so that Haruomi want to gather the mana that the demon lord need, and thus Haruomi start his new routine to fight and rape the heroines. Go get Liberator if you waiting for this since Revenger release like me, and have fun. Aniplex released Tanetsumi no Uta, and the story is about Misuzu who lost her mother at young age. One day when she is at 16 years old, she was suddenly visited by a girl who then revealed herself to be Mizusu's mother, Yoko, when she was at 16 years old. The reason for the reunion is because Yoko was chosen as the Seedshow Maiden who must do the journey to Eternal Realm to do the funeral ceremony for the gods. Then, the mother and daughter duo do the time travel to 2050, and have Misuzu's future 16 years old daughter Tsumugi and her supposed brother Hiruko accompanying them on the journey. Once again, the arts were done by Jellyfish anime artist, although I just realize the similarity of the characters with the anime recently. The scenario writer is notably write several doujin VNs, with the most notable one is Misuzu no Kuni which is available in English. Go get Tanetsumi no Uta if you've been waiting for it, and have fun. Dramatic Create announced they'll release otome game Arcana Famiglia, with the premise is the female MC is the daughter of the gang leader was about to take a part in the gang lead by her father while getting romanced one of the handsome gang members. It'll be available sometimes in the next year, and more importantly it'll have PC version as well. Speaking of announcement, we have PQube announced the new releases for the next year, Iwakura Aria and Death Match Love Comedy (DMLC). I already know that we'll going have Iwakura Aria in English, but at least it's nice now we have the confirmation that it'll be available in PC as well (And it was confirmed that it'll have some GL, albeit a heavy one). For DMLC, it's about the MC who will exploded had he confessed by a girl, and being VN MC he was blessed (Or rather cursed in this game's setting) by the ability to attract any female so he was quite unfortunate to have two girls show interest towards him creating a love triangle. Another thing that I knew is the VN was written by Raging Loop writer, although apparently the reception for this is not as high as Raging Loop. Seeing 2024 is almost ended, unfortunately Sekai must delay the release for Akaneiro with they'll try their best to bring it in the next year. That said, looks like they still don't know if they'll be able to bring Harvest Festa in the next year, seeing they changed the Steam release date into TBA. For the fan translation updates, we have Taima Seiko Alice is now fully edited, 12Riven is at 60% translated, Akagoei 3 is at 27.7% in QA, and Majikoi A Plus Disk is at 29.75% translated. I knew that Shiravune have some updates when I wrote this review, although I decided to save it for the next week. Anyway, Shiravune finally announced the exact release date for Sacrifice Villains in which they'll release it on January 21st of the next year, and delayed Primal Hearts duology release on Steam to the Q1 of 2025 (Up to March 31st). Shiravune was released Nemurenu back on 10th, in which it's also available on Steam which marked the first Clock Up VN available on Steam (Admittedly with string attached with the Steam version is the barebone version of the full game). Technically speaking they also released its fandisc, although it's just had lighter stuffs that won't be fit the grim tone in the main game, so I'll just focused on the main game. In Nemurenu, we have a nameless man who use the false name Takeo work as the janitor in the love hotel, and he also work as the janitor for yakuza group with he need to kill people because he has severe insomnia case which only be able to be cured by killing a people. One day, he met with Azami who work as lady of the night. However, beneath of her work, she was known to killed several people so much Takeo's boss asked him to kill her. That said, this time Takeo become hesitate to do his job, seeing having sexual encounter with Azami allow him to be able to sleep. Obviously like Clock Up other VNs, there will be some disturbing contents, although it's not as much as Maggot Bait with it had same writer. Go get Nemurenu if you're want another Clock Up VN, and have fun. Last but not the least, we have Nekonyan deliver Hatsusaku, which marked this as the third translated Niijima Yuu VN. By the way, I still remember when my roommate play the opening video for this back in 2011, with he also like to play Grisaia no Meikyuu and White Album 2 Closing Chapter opening videos. While it seems to be inevitable Nekonyan will get this, actually it would be harder to expect that seeing Saga Planets only own the license of their VN past Floral Flowlove after they left Visual Arts with Hatsusaku is under Visual Arts, and yet Nekonyan manage to get this anyway. For the premise, it's about the titular Hatsuyuki who is become infamous as the school delinquent with he was quite rude and like to drink alcohol. One night, he meet with a mysterious girl in a white dress searching for her rabbit, and he reluctantly help the girl. Later, the girl introduce herself as Sakura (Another titular character), and two days later he'll find out Sakura transferred to his school. Note that unlike Kakenuke, this VN will have a bittersweet true ending. Go get Hatsusaku if you've been waiting for this more than a decade ever since the failed translation project for this was established at around 2013, and have fun. That's all for what I can write in regard of this week, and see you next week.

One again here's my very belated comment on this matter. Well if you want my answer on the question 'are Nekonyan deserving of their high praise?', then honestly speaking I agree they have several flaws despite they're the better one when it come to bring the big title. The first one is obviously the bugs, which is quite often so much it become meme at their Discord, although to their credit it happened mostly in the games with the engine that need to be ported (And they always took the quick actions to fixed it). Ideally speaking it would be better to do more thorough job to make sure the works are free of bugs, although obviously it could delay the releases for some unknown times. For the complain in regard of translation choice, let's just say that each people have their own preference. That said, even most people has limit with the translation choice, as shown with 'Incel Removal Patch' release when Royale was released. For their recent catalogue, compared to Shiravune they seems to be not increased much, with the newer one are Irotoridori, Aoi Tori, and now Hatsuyuki Sakura (Hatsusaku), although those are definitely very interesting title, especially Hatsusaku. Nekonyan also has very personal history with Irotoridori, with them initially formed this as Shinku Translation in order to express their love for the main heroine, Shinku, and have their very first project Saku Saku which was released by Sekai (So in a way Saku Saku is technically Nekonyan's very first project instead of Fureraba). Anyway, while both have different methods, in the end currently both are the best companies when it come to the VN catalogues alone, at least for the first half of 2020's and I hope they'll keep it up in the upcoming years. For their store, well admittedly it's quite suck to see them stopped doing so, although looking from how Sol Press tried to set up their own store perhaps it's for the best Nekonyan put their store aside for time being. Speaking of Sol Press, they rescued four licenses from them, the aforementioned Irotoridori (Which is also personal for Nekonyan), Onikiss, Mirai Radio, and now Sakura Celebration with they need to delay the release because apparently they need to do some major fixing. While there's no much to explore when it come to Tinkle Position and Laplacian (Nekonyan already took Onigyu license and Laplacian already moved on to become all age company), I think Nekonyan may have the chance to acquired two more Sol Press licenses, HHG and Witch's Garden, with both are developed by Windmill (Sakura Celebration developer). I agree they have the best relationship with Yuzusoft, especially with they even manage to translate the 4-koma videos for both of Cafe Stella and Tenshi Re-Boot (It's suck on how Steam rejected Tenshi Re-Boot for some unfathomable reasons). Other than Yuzusoft, Hooksoft is the closest companies to Nekonyan, although it only apply to two of their branches, Smee (HaremKingdom license aside) and ASa Project. Saga Planets also seems to getting closer with Nekonyan, especially with the releases both of Kakenuke and Hatsusaku with the latter was stated to be under Visual Arts. For more context, after quitting Visual Arts Saga Planets only own the licenses starting from Floral Flowlove (FF), so no one expect Hatsusaku to be licensed despite it's one of most known VN from them. Anyway, with Saga Planets big title available in English (FF aside), obviously the next license that Nekonyan can take is Ambitious Mission. It would be nice if Nekonyan can get Natsuyume Nagisa as well, although since it's 2009 VN it would took Nekonyan to negotiate with Visual Arts again and would need more works than up-scaling the arts alone seeing the game is in 800x600 resolution. Lastly, while they didn't manage to do no Kickstarter, at least they only done two of it with both are only for physical releases with the total goal was at 15,000 euro (10,000 euro for Aokana and 5,000 euro for Kirikoi, which is definitely smaller than 85,000 dollars Irotoridori even with different currency), and it seems they manage to deliver it to the most of the backers. As for the smaller controversies like Hello Lady with mosaic, it's not always possible to get the new person in charge to be in line with what Nekonyan asked for with the new person was vetoed Nekonyan's wish to have Hello Lady sex scenes arts with no mosaic. For the reminder Nekonyan usually tried to have no mosaic in their releases, with the exception is Yuzusoft who insist to have keep the mosaic, which didn't stop their VNs (Particularly Senren Banka) become the best selling VNs anyway. That's all for what I can comment in regard of Nekonyan. PS - For more a bit correction, actually Sekai was initially the one who got Dracu Riot along with Senren Banka, although since turned out Sekai have too many project at their hand Nekonyan got the chance to negotiate with Yuzusoft to acquired those titles, and here we are with Senren Banka was manage to be very successful release for Nekonyan.

Out of all VN, the only viable candidates for VN of the Months in November 2024 are Kimagure Temptation 2 and Lip Lipples. For the rest, well Kanokari was the interquel of Season 3 anime with it adapt the best arc of the whole manga, High-speed Etoile is the game based on Spring 2024 3D anime with it has less popularity compared to the other 3D anime (Girls Band Cry) but it was available for overseas audience immediately, and Furimukasete is the single heroine VN by Hooksoft branch company. Speaking of Hooksoft, Purple Software decided to hire one of its game writer to write Lip Lipples, and the result is like what we can see, a short charge/moege with outrageous premise. Apparently it has some drama looking from the spoiler, but in the end it's still one of Purple Software experiment along with Criminal Border and Moon Ghost, with they decided to use Kirikiri engine instead of usual CMVS. We may have them manage to produce something similar with their old game using Kirikiri, although it'll took some times. By the way, the opening video is from Moon Ghost. Kimagure 2 is obviously the sequel of Kimagure, which mean the first game has see some success, with Haruhisha and Anneliese need to handle yet another case with supernatural element. Of course by the time we have this most people already know what to expect from Kimagure (Supernatural detective story with some sex instead of full nukige), but it may be still interesting to see on how the duo will handle the new case. Oh yes, we have the new design for the side characters in the first game, and I'm quite surprised on how good looking they are, especially Cooley. To me, the VN of the Month 2024 is pretty clear, and it's obviously not Kanokari VN but instead Kimagure Temptation 2 if only for the VN that was better received in VNDB and Erogamescape along with it had story. Lip Lipples definitely has the making of good charge/moege, although it's too short seeing it's the experimental work. Whether we'll see Lip Lipples will be available in English or not, we don't know yet seeing Purple Software had tight deadline when it come to localizing their VN with they can threaten to withdraw the license if the publisher took their time too much on working their VNs. Also obviously we would expect Sekai to localize Kimagure 2, although it looks impossible if we look at their current situation. That's all for what I can comment in regard of November 2024 releases.

Late to the party here, but better late than never. Anyway, a lot of the mentioned stuffs in the video has a lot of change in just within a year, with the most notable one is they didn't do announce the title in mere weeks or days before the release, with them most likely waiting for Valve's (Very often) slow review process. Obviously there's more positive change in regard of it, such as all of Qruppo's title now licensed by Shiravune, they branched out a number of VNs to be sold outside Steam and Johren so no need to bother with Johren complicated procedure in case someone didn't like Steam, and they tried to get few of their older title into Steam (Primal Hearts). Although, recently they seems to do more announcements for RPGMaker game, in which I just hope it's just temporary despite it being rational choice if they want to do save the money for the license cost. By the way, I'm aware that my comment on this may be outdated within a year or two (Or maybe even less in a year), showing on how dynamic Shiravune can be, so let's see if they can keep up the positive here. For their catalogue, while obviously the one that you mention are true, there are some more other newer title available after a year, such as Mashiro Iro, Amanatsu, Nemurenu, Destiny Star Girlfriend, and Amazing Grace, which while those may not your favorite I believe some would find themselves liking the titles, and I say this as someone who think that Nemurenu will deter most people had they find some disturbing contents in there. Also I hope that someday Shiravune will translate Study Steady 2 and if possible Marmalade's newest VN, Baka Couple Supplement, although I know it need times seeing even the latter is not available yet. As far as controversy happening, well let's just say it's something bound to happen no matter on how well the companies tried to do. As for the translation, some didn't like the translation choice in Nukitashi and Mashiro Iro so much they made the new patch to fix the former, although since Nukitashi was already edited back when Sol Press still exist it bound to have editing controversy had they released it anyway. For mosaic, let's just say it would took more time to remove it compared to release it immediately and receive some critics about it. No comment on Kunado other than I see why Shiravune rushed the porting work after Aoi Tori release, and at least Shiravune fixed the problem quickly. That's all for what I can comment in regard of Shiravune. PS - Forgot to mention that Shiravune like to sell very barebone game on Steam with the full contents avilable in the 18+ patch with the newer VNs had them censored the school uniform for Steam version like in ExS-Tia Concerto. I didn't mean to say this as the flaw seeing they did this to getting through the reviewers with one explicit contents can ruin the plan to sell the game on Steam, but instead I just mention this as something to note here when it come to purchasing from Steam.

Welcome to this week VNTS Review, and because we have both Tanetsumi no Uta and Hatsuyuki Sakura are about to be released at this week, I decided to make a parody of the soundtrack from the latter title, Ghost Parade, by changing 'Ghost' with 'Jellyfish', so we have 'Jellyfish Parade' as the title. As for the reason of 'Jellyfish' word, it's because turned out Tanetsumi no Uta artist was the character designer for Spring 2024 anime, Jellyfish Can't Swim in the Night, with two of Tanetsumi no Uta characters looks similar to two main characters of Jellyfish anime. As for this week, well let's just be blunt by saying that it's plain even with Shiravune confirmed Kara no Shoujo 3, although in another way this week is a breather before the upcoming releases in the next week. With that done, let's see what I can write in regard of this week. Visual Arts announced Holy Undead with they'll release it on 20th later. For the VN, it's about the male necromancer who have been dead after getting killed by the hero and the saint, and reincarnated into white-haired female saint, Yuricia, who is the daughter of his killer and have cheat powers. Yuricia herself just want to become necromancer again, although the holy power insider her body is obviously very major obstacle to her goal, so she did her best to find a way to getting around it. That said, even with her actions are based on her very personal motive, her actions manage to get her a bunch of followers, including handsome male who Yuricia (Understandably) being indifferent towards to. In case you thought the plot is like usual web novel, then you're right because Holy Undead base source is the web novel itself, although curiously the author chose to adapt it into the VN instead of manga or anime first. Speaking of Visual Arts, as expected they delay the release of Reflection Blue to the next year. Cherry Kiss suddenly released another nukige called Harem Inn, and it's about the MC who is an innkeeper in the very dangerous monster-infested forest with the only guests are the party consisted of the trio big-breasted female. The party was only go to the inn to find the MC's father who set up the inn in the very dangerous place, so the MC need to prove his worth to the party so that they would willingly to have a lot of sex with the MC. Go get the nukige if you're interested with it, and have fun. For the other updates, we have Taima Seiko Alice is at 90% edited and Yoru ga Kuru release delayed to the next year. The biggest news for this week is obviously Kara no Shoujo 3 announcement by Shiravune, although it's not really surprising since they already announced it indirectly when they mentioned they took the license for the trilogy. Still, at least it's nice to know they're seemingly almost done with it now that they open the Steam store page of it, so the players can play Kara no Shoujo directly in case they decided to wait for Shiravune to finally release the last part. As for Kara no Shoujo 3 itself, it's about Reiji who still got hit by the event of Kara no Shoujo 2 True Ending was suddenly asked to help sorting the stuffs belong to the recently deceased mad painter, and among one he find the eerie painting depicting an one winged angel with no arm. Like in the previous parts, obviously the mad artist work invite another mad person, and thus Reiji need to get to work as the detective because someone killed a person with the corpse was made to resemble the one winged angel. Oh yes, Innocent Grey here goes all out to not showing the explicit sex scenes, so actually there's no mosaic in Kara no Shoujo 3 and therefore you didn't need to worry about it. That's all for what I can write in regard of this week, and see you next week.

Favorite BGM/soundtrack of a Visual Novel

To celebrate Hatsuyuki Sakura upcoming release, here's one of its soundtrack, Ghost Parade, below. Enjoy. -
Why did so many people dislike School Days?
littleshogun replied to Ohanaya's topic in Visual Novel Talk
Decided to revive the thread, and let's just say people have enough saying about Makoto and how the higher up (Director/producer/0verflow) was adapted the worst ending for some reasons (Most likely to become viral, and the studio definitely aware of Nice Boat meme). Technical wise, I should say that 0verflow tried their best to bring the anime like experience in the VN, although unfortunately it make the game become buggy and had too big size. PS - By the way, 0verflow stopped their VN production in 2016, and while usually I feel bad whenever the companies does so, I don't feel bad for 0verflow at all when they said they won't develop their own VN, especially after they make the mess of Makoto's family tree with them probably being drunk when they do the meeting on it. Granted the relationship in the tree would probably happen in a bunch of nukige, but sometimes I need to draw the line with 0verflow manage to do so. -
Here's Acro Trip opening in which it had Kawamura does draw the magical girl Berry Blossom beautifully, and I can see on how the MC Chizuko become Berry's fan if she's beautifully drawn like in the 0:41 mark. It should be obvious that I posted this because of the art like Mashiro Iro opening. Enjoy.

Well turned out you didn't really need to go through complicated process to play the game, because Nekonyan will release this on 12th (ie 5 days later) together with Hikari Field. And before you say there'll be only English and Chinese languages, it'll also include Japanese language so no more complicated work to get the game running. For Sigles engine itself, let's just say I understand it's very complicated judging from how I ran HatsuKoi and Ginharu, and that Nekonyan need to port both of Kirikoi and this.

discussion Why hasn’t Fraternite been translated to English yet?
littleshogun replied to NadiaEros's topic in Visual Novel Talk
Looking from the tags on VNDB, maybe it's because the game would be hard to sale if we know on how some people can be sensitive when it come to a certain contents, especially among the Steam reviewers. Also for the contents, while arguably it may not as disturbing as Maggot Bait or Sadistic Blood, sometimes it took more than very extreme sex scenes to make the VN very disturbing (And I know on how Sadistic Blood sex scenes can be very extreme). As for my opinion, let's just say I would prefer Mangamer or Shiravune (With the latter has higher chance to release Fraternite) released something else, although if they want to release this than so be it. PS - In case you want to read another translated Clock Up VN after Dead Days, then you can read Nemurenu in which Shiravune will release it in five days later. -
Bang Dream MyGO - Bang Dream is the franchise where all of the casts are female who form a band, and MyGO is no different. That said, it has a tiny bit difference, namely the writer tried to shake up the formula by making the story as dramatic as possible with they still continuing the attempt in Ave Mujica, which will be aired in the next January with some people who watch the first episode of it early mentioned that it's darker compared to MyGO. Yohane the Parhelion - It's not really shoujo anime, but rather it's the alternative version of Love Live Sunshine with Yoshiko aka Yohane as the main casts instead of Chika, and in here we'll see the development of Yoshiko herself while she tried her best to fend the darkness in her hometown. Of course being Love Live franchise, there's still some live concert. The anime is the adaptation of the manga, and more importantly it was created as the filler between Superstar 2 and 3 with the staffs waiting for Superstar character design finished her job on HSPC. Mushuko Tensei 2 Part 1 - Yes this is the first part of the second season. For the story, after Rudy has great adventure, he find out he need to overcome the most difficult challenge yet, namely he suffer erectile dysfunction which sounds ridiculous and yet make sense in story. From there, the story start to shifted from adventure into life school, which understandably make fans who prefer to see the fight didn't look at this favorably. Pokemon Horizon - I know you didn't want to write this in the blog, but I may as well talk about it here. After Ash doing his best to serve as the MC for Pokemon anime since 1997, he finally had retired in 2023 with the new Pokemon series aired. In here instead of male MC, we'll going to see the journey from the view point of Lico who is a girl from Paldea attend the Pokemon Academy in Kanto. One day, he came across the evil group who want her pendant that she got from her grandmother, and after the evil group almost successfully stole the pendant from Lico another group manage to save her. Afterwards, Lico join the group who rescued her in order to find the power within her pendant. Oh yes, there's still male main person in the series, although Lico remain as the primary MC of the series. Bleach Final Arc - I still remember on how I was surprised to see Bleach still didn't have its final arc animated for years despite being Big Three of shonen manga, with the other two (Naruto and One Piece) has animated all of the manga contents (Recent hiatus of One Piece for half year aside), but I suppose back then the studio didn't have enough resource to do it. Anyway, the final arc of Bleach has Ichigo deal with the adversary that caused the conflict in the whole manga, and there'll be big war in there. The studio here divide the arc into four parts with each have 13 episodes (The first part was aired in Autumn 2022), which is nice to relieve the burden of the studio and more importantly to avoid filler episodes like in Naruto even after the manga ending. That's all for what I can write in regard of Summer 2023 anime here.

Welcome to this week VNTS Review, and because we have Ever17 announcement along with Tokyo Psychodemic release I decided to combine both into 'Lemuria Psychodemic' with 'Lemuria' word is from Ever17 original opening title, Distant Continent of Lemuria. For this week, while we have several companies announce the exact release date which is very nice, I can't say the same thing with this week releases in which it's not really interesting compared to the upcoming one. So in a way, I suppose this week is almost plain one, and let's see what I can write in regard of it. I saw that Tokyo Psychodemic has a number of negative review, and apparently it indeed has some major setback with the story is apparently not closing with the last case has very bad writing, although I only know that it also have bad release time with it was initially scheduled to be released in May's end only to be delayed to the November's end (That, and it's detective game where you search the clue to solve the case). Regardless, feel free to get the VN from Steam if you want to find out the game is really bad as the reviewers mention, or maybe you can save the money to buy some other VNs later. Mangagamer was released Steam Prison FD, and from what I see it's about the casts face the new adventure in the other countries after they overcame the difficulties in the main game, although as it turned out it's still no easy matter seeing they need to navigate the problem in the new country. Go get Steam Prison FD if you want more of Steam Prison contents, and have fun. This week we have Taima Seiko Alice is at 80% edited, and that's all for this week fan translation update. For the several companies that announce the exact release date, we have JAST, Shiravune, and Nekonyan. For Shiravune, they'll release Yakin Byouto remake on 17th later, which to say not really interested with it even though it has Ueda Metawo as the artist for the remake version with his art looks different compared to when he work on GSS or Dead End Aegis. JAST announced they'll release Yamizome Liberator on 12th later, and once again it's a game where the MC will be possessed by a demonic entity decided to help relieve his female friend burdens who work as the magical girls by raping them after he do his best to defeat them, which to say is very unorthodox way but it really works as shown in Revenger. Last but not the least, Nekonyan announced the exact release date for the well-known Hatsuyuki Sakura, in which they'll release it at the same date as Liberator (12th), and for the info it's been written by Niijima Yuu with the VN itself is a deal more serious compared to Kakenuke or Kirikoi (Feel free to note the date if you've been waiting for more a decade to see it translated). That's all for what I can write in regard of this week, and see you next week.
