  1. For the patch update, if I recall Daybreak did write they updated Mizuha's patch and also Tsurezure announced they updated Hoshiori patch, so I think they'll announce the updated patch had they managed to finished it, which I'll write it in this thread if the update is really happen later. And no, they would never release the patch somewhere besides at their site, so of course they'll upload the patch at their Download page.
  2. Well, there's no much interesting release happen in May 2024, so if I need to pick something as VN of the Month, it would be Sky Chord. Granted that Oujou no Shima has better rating on VNDB, but it's Clockwork VN which as we know has some disturbing sex scenes. Other than those two VNs, only Shinjuku Soumei is quite notable with it has English translation with the translation for Tokyo Psychodemic was cancelled for some reasons, although apparently Shinjuku Soumei has problematic translation. That's all for what I can write in regard of May 2024 releases.
  3. Bloom Into You - I should comment on this back in Autumn 2018, but better late than never. As you can see, it's indeed GL series and by GL series I mean the series that really focused on the GL romance alone. The story is about Yuu who like to read shoujo manga (Thus make the series aesthetic like shoujo manga) somehow manage to attract the most popular girl in the school Touko. From there Touko would keep getting closer to Yuu, although Yuu still not ready to accept Touko's feeling (Even though Touko already kissed Yuu several times) until the later times in the manga. For the info, the anime itself is ended at halfway of the manga, leaving the play that the casts prepared not animated, so it's too bad there's no second season to see the play in the anime. Oh yes, out of all GL series, so far this is the highest one on MAL as of now. Fruit Basket 2019 - The remake of the anime series akin of Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood and Spice and Wolf 2024, although the studio decided to change the VAs and the director (Because the author didn't like the director of the original). For this series, the studio really adapted the manga much more faithfully compared to the 2001 series, and this series is the first part of the faithful adaptation with two more parts will come in the upcoming year. As for the premise, well let's just say it's still the same. YU-NO - We obviously know about the VN, and it took 29 years to have proper adaptation with it also has improper H OVA adaptation. While the VN is quite historical, nowadays it would be seen as somewhat outdated story with many other anime already polished what YU-NO started, and it didn't help on how Takuya being pervert is not something that modern audience can easily accepted. Still, the game is influential enough so much that MAGES seen the potential of it and decided to remake the game with the anime art, which also received translation and attract new player who didn't know on how convoluted YU-NO could be. Forgot to mention the studio (And the remake) decided to change the VAs despite most of the older VAs are still alive, although the reasons is probably because of the contract and stuffs. Kenja no Mago - Honestly the premise is very cliche, especially after there are some interesting isekai several years prior. I also like to say it has the worst introduction of the main villain, in which the author somehow think that have the MC almost defeated the main villain before said villain is retreated is the good idea. That said, at least I should credit the author to not give the MC full spotlight with he did his best to teach his friends how to use very strong magic, and the MC here was only ended up with one girl instead of harem like many other isekai works. Bokuben - It's comedy series with Nariyuki was asked to teach different girls who happen to be quite bad at one particular subject, and those girls are happen to excel in the other subjects, so in short it's like Gotoubun with the anime decided to make the canon heroine for Nariyuki. Except the author realize it could be backfired seeing the comments from Nisekoi and Gotoubun, so the author decided to make the alternative endings for the other girls akin of VNs (Whether it's smart move or cowardly move is up to each of their own). It's just too bad that apparently there won't be any new anime from this, seeing the new season based on the alternative endings for each girls would be interesting to see. Senko-san - It's about the worker from black company find a comfort in the 800 years old of fox girls, and from there the duo will meet a lot of people (Be it the normal human or supernatural creature). No much to say that it's good manga to read if you want something light to read. Demon Slayer - Well Ufotable did very good job on animating this since the start, although it's still not quite widely known for the first 18 episodes. However, all was change when the particular animation in episode 19 goes viral thanks to Ufotable did a lot of works on the effects, and since then Demon Slayer popularity got exploded so much it has four seasons with we not have the 4th season aired with it will be followed with three grand finale movie. Massive popularity aside, story wise it's more like the homage to Jojo 2012 anime (Which adapt Phantom Blood and Battle Tendency) with both have vampire based opponents and superpower based on breath. That's all for what I can comment in regard of Spring 2019 anime here.
  4. Because we have Winged Cloud released Sakura Isekai Adventure 2 (With Winged Cloud did a good job by making the MC as female) along with Cherry Kiss released cosplayer nukige, I decided to make this week title as 'Sakura Cosplayer' even though I'm very late for this. Anyway, welcome to this week VNTS Review, and if I may say something this week is quite eventful compared to the last week, especially when we finally know on who will localize Geminism. We also have Nekonyan finally finished the process to add Aoi Tori into Steam, so at least now they're done with Aoi Tori. Lastly, there's a surprise release of a nukige that has been adapted into H OVA. Overall, this week is a below average one to me, and let's see what I can write in regard of it. I knew Aniplex has plan to release Hookah Haze, although I just decided to keep my eyes on it right now. From what I see, I think it's like Valhalla with pixel art and all, but instead we have the male MC is about to die because of terminal illness decided to work as temporary manager of hookah language. For the info, hookah is not really the stylized way to say hooker, but instead it's the name of the tool that was used to smoking that usually used in Arabian countries even though the tool itself is from India. Back to the story, in the game we have the MC encounter three unique heroines, with each of the heroines have their own heavy secrets. Oh yes, Aniplex already has the exact release date for this, and said date is July11th later with the VN available in both of Switch and PC. Speaking of exact release date of a VN, we also have one for B-Ryuusai Project, and said date is July 15th so feel free to note the date if you want to play otome VN with male idol love interests. A fan decided to release Ane to Boin nukige, and from what I can see the nukige was adapted into H OVA back in 2005. For the premise, it's about the MC who live with ten beautiful step-sisters with the MC does his best to try hold himself because he still consider them as the sibling. Of course being the nukige MC, we'll going to see on how the MC will not be able to hold himself by having sex with the sisters several times. Feel free to get the nukige if you're interested with it, and have fun. We also have JAST released Sisters as scheduled, and my first thought is the size is quite big at around 26 GB despite its short playtime thanks to the graphic that looks like the real anime. For the premise, we have the MC who can't remember himself start to live together with the household that has mother and her two daughters. While it's easy to dismiss it as nukige, turned out there's some plot hidden behind the premise. Anyway, feel free to try the VN, and have fun. Almost forgot to mention that Visual Arts almost ready to release Kanon, and according to the post from their website they plan to release it within this month so let's wait and see. We also have Shiravune announce two nukige releases (Nyonin Island and Real Eroge Situation 2), and unlike Visual Arts Shiravune announce the exact release date for both release with both will be released on 25th later, so you may note the date if you've been waiting for those two releases. As for the one who'll localize Geminism, turned out Shiravune took the job for it with them already open the Steam store for it. We still don't know when we'll going to have it release, but at least now we can have translated Geminism in the future. Daybreak has some words in regard of Akagoei, and said words are in regard on how they need to delay the release of Akagoei trilogy translation patch for a year (From this September to September 2025) because of some reasons that can't be disclosed. Anyway, as for Daybreak's projects progress, we have Akagoei FD QA work was done, Akagoei 3 is at 76.86% edited along with 11.34% in QA, and they were extracting the scripts from Majikoi A Plus Disk in which it'll be their next VN to working on. For the other fan translation progress, we have ChuSingura is at 46.26% translated, Taima Seiko Alice is at 60% translated, and Ushieta was past three quarter (75.6%) translated with Yui 1 route is at 42.5% translated. We also have updates from Shinzou Translation, with their secret project is at halfway edited and Karenai Sekai to Owaru Hana is at 30% translated along with its assets is at 10% worked on. Last but not the least, we finally have Nekonyan manage to open the Steam store for Aoi Tori, which is very notable seeing they had the initial build rejected before they re-submitted the edited build and finally have the build accepted by Steam reviewer. It should be noted the Steam version of Aoi Tori has very big change besides the obvious not containing all of the 25 sex scenes, namely Nekonyan only include one route that they think safe to add, Mary's route, so you'll need 18+ patch to play the full version. They also already has the exact release date for the Steam version, in which it'll be released on 28th later, so you can note the date if you still not bought it because you prefer to wait for it available on Steam. That's all for what I can write in regard of this week, and see you next week.
  5. This feature is definitely would be a lot of help if it applied in the game that need many explanation. Technically speaking, Fate/Stay Night also has one, although it's more like RPG status which make sense seeing the casts involve in a battle royale involving summoning the servants who can use their best moves and ultimately made player more like playing RPG. Other than that, Science Adventure like to make full use of this feature to do the info dump on their stories. As for dropping hints function, I recall how FF8 has that one in the encyclopedia, although in this case it's more like the staff decided to write the plot point based on the entry. That's all for what I can say in regard of this topic. PS - Forgot to mention that Utawarerumono also has this feature as well, which is really help seeing there's a number of words from Ainu tribe with said language is not exactly common one to put it simply. Obviously the developer is also intend to use the dictionary as the way to build the world, seeing Utawarerumono world is fictional one.
  6. Well it just got released, and it's interesting that it's also available on Steam despite Shiravune manage to do so. No much to say other than feel free to play this if you're interested, and the size is quite something for the short VN at around 20 GB (To be fair it has animation).
  7. Some of the recommendations are good. Anyway as for the recommendations, I would recommend Amanatsu, Mashiro Iro, Clover Day's, and Primal Hearts. I also would like to recommend White Album 2, although the romance drama might be too intense for you. I don't know if you're already read those VNs or not, but regardless I hope my recommendations will be helpful to you.
  8. Well I'm very late to comment on this, but better late than never. Shield Hero - The MC (Naofumi) is called as a loser thanks to the king's policy that treat shield as worthless weapon based on his subjective opinion, and to make it worse the princess decided to playing victim by accusing Naofumi raping her which make the princess gather the ire from the fanbase quickly. Understandably Naofumi is very bitter with the experience, and so he buy a slave girl, Raphtalia, who he quickly treat as his companion. Premise aside, this is more or less about Naofumi prove that shield is not really worthless weapon whilst at the same time shown on how three other supposed superior weapon users prove their uselessness in the real life. Oh yes, the author already finished the web novel of this, although he deemed that version as non-canon and thus he decided to make the light novel version as canon. Manaria - It's the spin-off from mobile game Rage of Bahamut focusing on the dragon girl and the human princess, with both of them quickly prove they really love each other so much it almost resemble Izetta, or if I may say it bluntly it's more or less GL anime with half of the air time (Only 14 minutes per episode instead of usual 24 minutes). Gotoubun - Conveniently we just have PQube released two games based on this. In here we have Fuutaro who is hired to teach the quintuplet of beautiful girls that have bad grades, and he find out that one of the girls may be his crush from the past. While the mystery is quite interesting, obviously the author put too much homage to the mystery genre where the culprit usually got less focus on the beginning, and he apply that writing into Fuutarou's love interest causing some fans to not accept the canon choice (Especially when this is supposed to be romance story as well). Currently the author already write the new manga that also got the anime in this season, Loser Ranger. Endro - From what I see, it's about the parody of the RPG story with the heroes already finishing her journey and then attend the school with the former demon king as the teacher. It also has Yuru Yuri author as the artist, so at least you can watch it for the art. Promised Neverland - The author make the girl as the MC, which is unusual for Shounen Jump manga with male MC dominate their catalogue. The premise is quite interesting, with the MC must engage battle of wits against their caretaker in order to be avoided got eaten by the demon, and yes it's exactly as I saying because the children from the orphanage where the MC live are periodically sent off to be eaten by the demon. The author want this to be finished within two season, although obviously it's impossible to get satisfactory adaptation if we look on how much the material that was needed to be adapted. STPC - It's more like the new series instead of sequel or side-quel, unless Toei somehow think it would be nice to randomly make a new Precure as the continuation from one of their past Precure (They should already gave up that idea since 2009). For STPC, it's about Hikaru who want to find her alien friend, and soon enough she encounter one, Lala, with Lala was chased by the bad alien. Obviously Hikaru being the heroine receive the Precure power, and then fight against bad alien after gathering several other friends like usual Precure. Kaguya - According to the author, Kaguya is pretty much basic mainstream romance manga or something like that, although turned out it's one of successful work from the author. In here, we have both of Miyuki (Who is male for the info despite feminine sounding name) and Kaguya being in love with each other, although they prefer to treat it as battle of wits with each side waiting on who will eventually swooned by their feeling. Admittedly not the most bombastic premise, but at least the comedy make it work. While the series eventually depict heavier stories beside the main duo comical battle of wits, obviously the story is still not as heavy as the author's another successful work, Oshi no Ko. That's all for what I can write in regard of Winter 2019 anime.
  9. For the VN with that description, I only remember One with it has the remake that available in English. I don't know if the answer is right or not, but I hope it can help you there.
  10. Visual Novel Translation Status (02/06/2024) Welcome to this week VNTS Review, and if I can say something this week is quite plain, although we can say it's the breather after the releases in the past weeks. That said, at least this week has some exact release date announcements though along with a surprise new fan translation project. As for the title, because we have Cupid Parasite FD along with Chiisana Kanojo sizeable updates, I made the parody of the latter English title, A Maiden's Serenade, with I changed 'Maiden's' into 'Cupid's' so we have 'A Cupid's Serenade'. Anyway, let's see what I can write in regard of this week. Idea Factory did release Cupid Parasite FD, and it's obviously for Switch only. Feel free to get the VN if you want to play more Cupid Parasite and had Switch, and have fun. Speaking of Switch, Aksys announced the exact release date for Ihanashi no Majo, and said date is August 22nd later. Note that the release date is only for console version (ie PS5 and Switch version) of it, so you need to wait for a while if you want to play the Steam version of it. Speaking of Steam, Shiravune announce the exact release date for their aunt nukige that has it's build was rejected by Steam, and said date is 14th later so feel free to note the date if you want to play aunt nukige that has NTR element. I knew there's a plan to localized both of Dokyuusei 2 and Yakin Byouto Remakes, which most likely will be assigned to Shiravune, because the developer of the remake is from the same group as Shiravune. That said, I still wait and see about the plan of the remakes until the companies (Either the publisher or the developer) have the words about it. From fan translation, this week we have Chusingura is at 45.66% translated with Chapter 2 is past 90% mark (91.80%) translated, Majikoi Ryouken After is fully translated, Taima Seiko Alice is at 55% translated, Akagoei FD is at 85.06% in QA, Akagoei 3 is past three quarter (75.06%) edited along with 10.37% in QA, and Shin Koihime Musou is at 72% edited. Lastly, we have Shinzou Translation announced their new project, Karenai Saku no Owari Hana, which is definitely bigger than their usual projects. Said VN is also the first VN from Sweet & Tea with two of their VNs, Kemono Musume and Mr. Sister, are localized by Sekai. For the premise, it's about our MC who came to the small town saw a girl, Haru, has the power to turn human into flower. For the progress, it's currently at 2% translated. That's all for what I can write in regard of this week, and see you next week.
  11. @Jinto Late to answer here. Anyway if you're looking for the heroine with that very specific of outfit, the closest one that I can think of is Ushio from Mashimaro. Other than that, maybe Mikako from Aoi Tori and Mana from Amatsutsumi (She didn't wear denim miniskirt though). I don't know if you're already read those VNs or not, but regardless I hope my recommendations can be helpful to you.
  12. As you can see, the patch is still not finished because the translator insist to put the finishing touch personally while at the same time being burdened with work. That said if you want to understandably play the game immediately, then there's the leaked patch out there. Some may try to deter warn the patch may not polished compared to the hypothetical future patch, but it's better than waiting for the translator finally have time to fully focused on the patch, and besides it's not like the mistakes in the leaked patch is easily noticed anyway unless someone is very aware about it.
  13. Visual Novel Translation Status (26/05/2024) Welcome to this week VNTS Review, and for the title since we have Biniku no Kaori released with its English title is Scent of Seductive Flesh along with Shinjuku Soumei released, I changed the word 'Seductive Flesh' into 'Funeral' with the word is from the kanji in Shinjuku Soumei Japanese title, so we have 'Scent of Funeral' as the title. As for this week, we have a number of releases. While it looks to be very good on paper, unfortunately those releases are not what I look forward into, but at least there's Biniku no Kaori which is worth to note as one of highest rate elf VNs on Erogamescape. Other than that, there's also Venus Blood Ragnarok KS with it already successful. Overall, this week is another above average one, and let's see what I can write in regard of it. From fan translation, we have ChuSingura is at 45.26% translated, Taima Seiko Alice is at halfway translated, Akagoei 3 is at 73.77% edited, Akagoei FD is past three quarter (75.86%) in QA, Ushieta is at 69.8% translated with Yui 1 route is at 17.7% translated, and Shinzou Translation secret project is fully translated. We also have three releases from fan translation, with one of those is the aforementioned Biniku no Kaori. For the other two, those are Little Busters SS and Alice no Yakata. About Alice no Yakata, we most likely know it as the Staffs Corner segment which translated as Alice Mansion (Thus I'll call it as such) in most of Alicesoft VNs, and from what I understand the VN is the collection of side materials. For Little Busters SS, it's the episodic releases of Little Busters side stories. Oh yes, both VNs are not available on PC, but instead it available on the other platforms (Alice Mansion in PC 98 and Little Busters SS in Android and IOS). We have Shinjuku Soumei released in last Friday, and from what I see it's about the MC who live in Shinjuku use his power of immortality to perform dangerous funeral with the help of a ghost girl. Another thing that I know it's been written by narcissu's writer and drawn by Nanairo Reincarnation artist, so at least the art should be good enough. There's also a review that state the translation is quite bad, so you may be keep in mind of that if you try the VN (Have fun though if you've been interested with it). Cherry Kiss did release their cosplayer nukige, and no much to say other than the heroine has usual big breast. PQube released two Gotoubun VNs, and if I may blunt I never had interest with the VN based on the anime franchise, but if you like Gotoubun anime and want to see more of the heroines, then you can try the VNs. Dramatic Create announce the exact release date for Meiji Tokyo Renka, with said date is October 3rd later. Looks like this time Sekai is indeed serious with Wagahigh FD, and to show on how serious they are they list the current progress with it is at 15% translated. Also turned out they have the reason to mention Chiisana Kanojo progress back in Anime Central, and said reason is they have good progress on it with currently it's been almost fully translated at 95% translated along with at halfway edited. Ninetail started their Venus Blood Ragnarok on last Wednesday with the goal is 13.2 million yen, and currently they already gather more than 20 million yen which obviously mean it's another their successful KS. In case you want to help fund the KS, there will be time until June 19th. Oh yes, for the estimation release time, Ninetail list November 2025 although it may change later. Last but not the least we have a fan decided to suddenly released Biniku no Kaori, and the VN itself is one of highest rated elf VN on Erogamescape. From what I can see, apparently it has some NTR, although from what I see on VNDB it has more than that, namely it has mystery genre. For the premise, we have Takuya who is the university student who want to earn money in order to traveling with his girlfriend. One day, after he decided to take tutoring job on Otoha as the way to get the money, he saw a hole that allow him to see the bedroom of Otoha's parents bedroom with he also see Otoha's mother do her hair. From there, he wonder on who made the hole and why the hole was created, and he start to investigate it. Like YU-NO, this game has point and click gameplay, so you may need the walkthrough to get through it. Go get Biniku no Kaori if you want some well known mystery VN from elf while you don't mind the NTR element, and have fun. That's all for what I can write in regard of this week, and see you next week.
  14. What I understand is that thriller genre mean the MC is always face the chance of his life in danger, which make the story is more exciting to the reader so much that some of highest rating VNs on VNDB have Thriller genre. For more VNs with thriller, there's Root Double in which it list Thriller as one of the genre, which make sense seeing the two MCs are in constant danger while at the same time they also need to find out on how they escape the nuclear facility within nine hours. Steins Gate can also count to be thriller, seeing Okabe need to move very carefully after his action was detected by mysterious organization that want to remove him. That's all for what I can comment in regard of this topic.
  15. As for sex scenes, honestly just play fan translation if someone is very desperate for it. That said, it's very understandable people didn't consider Kanon sex scenes are good, especially when there's a patch to remove the sex scenes even back then, which mean there are people who prefer to play old version without the sex scenes. But if some find the sex scenes in Kanon are very arousing, well good for them.
  16. Visual Novel Translation Status (19/05/2024) Welcome to this week VNTS Review, and because we have Amanatsu released I made a parody of Pure x Connect opening song title (Because Amanatsu writer wrote Pure x Connect), Snow x Connect, by changing 'Snow' into 'Summer' (Translation notes: Natsu mean summer), so we have Summer x Connect as the title. As for this week, I can say it definitely more active than the last one, although at the other hand there are a number of redundant announcements along with both Mangagamer and Sekai essentially announced nothing back in Anime Central. On the other hand, we have Amanatsu release with the VN itself is the first translated Azarashi Soft full length VN. Overall, this week is an above average one and let's see what I can write in regard of it. PQube did announce two Go-toubun VN (Summer Memories and Five Memories) with the five heroines in both VNs wore nice swimsuit with two different design, and more importantly it's to allow fans to chose whichever heroine they want in case they're not satisfied with Fuutaro's canon choice in the manga and anime. I want to say it's redundant because both VNs already have translations, although PQube has announce the PC version with the fan patch only available for Switch version so at least it's not fully redundant like Tsukihime Remake. Oh yes, it'll be available on Thursday (23rd) later. Visual Arts has two redundant announcements as well, Snow Globe (Switch version only and will be available on June 27th later) and Kanon. Yes, Kanon as is the very first KEY VN that allow them to be very successful like nowadays. I'm sure everyone already know the synopsis, so I'll just say there won't be sex scenes which honestly not really big deal anyway seeing it'll be support wide screen in exchange of it (That, and KEY sex scenes are not known for being good anyway). It's also will be available on Steam, so at least you didn't need to buy Switch to play Kanon. Kagura Games released Forsaken Quartet, and no much to say other than feel free to try the VN if you're into post-apocalyptic world and didn't mind some NTR element. We also have two BL VNs got the exact release date, with those two VNs are Yuri Trap Garden (June 10th) and Nie no Machi (September 19th). Shiravune announced their new nukige, An Aunt After My Own Heart, with it telling the story on the MC will do anything to be together with her aunt, either by eloping or take her back after she being married (So beware of NTR). For the release, at most it'll be on December 31st later (ie sometimes on this year) and the VN won't be available on Steam because the build of it being rejected. Ninetail finally announced when the Kicstarter for Ragnarok begin, and it'll be on Wednesday (22nd) later. Sekai announced Wagahigh FD in Anime Central, and while I can see why people want it at this rate I just want them to finished what they start with two other Madosoft VNs (Raspberry Cube and Hamidashi). Also if they just localize Wagahigh FD in Chinese only while announce it on Anime Central (ie English convention), it would leave the bad taste for some people who've been waiting for it. In any case, let's hope that Sekai still willing to have it in English despite I prefer them start to work on Hamidashi English version. Speaking of work, turned out they have worked on the QA for Nekonin ExHeart Spin with they aim to release it within this year. For fan translation, we have Ushieta is at 65.6% translated with Nagisa's route fully translated, Taima Seiko Alice is at 45% translated, Majikoi Ryouken After past three quarter (75.76%) translated, Akagoei 3 is at 71.24% edited along with 7.88% in QA, ChuSingura is at 44.51% translated, and Shinzou Translation secret project is at 64% translated. Last but not the least, we have Amanatsu released by Shiravune. Like I say beforehand, Amanatsu have to share the same writer as Pure x Connect, which in extension has the same writer as translated Smee VNs (Fureraba, Makeover, Sugar Style, HaremKingdom), Hayase Yuu, so obviously we'll going to have a lot of comedy in Amanatsu. Amanatsu is also notable in that it's the first translated full length VN from Azarashi Soft, which if we remember so far we only have three short VNs when it come to translated Azarashi Soft VN. For Amanatsu, it's about the MC Haruto who have enough in the competitive atmosphere at the big city, so he escape to the rural village hoping for some change. Afterwards, he manage to find some enjoyment in his new place, especially with he get closer with three beautiful heroines. With Amanatsu see the translation, hopefully someday we may see Amakano being localize with Amakano itself is the most well known work from Azarashi Soft with the beautiful graphic, although Amanatsu graphic is beautiful enough. Go get Amanatsu if you're in the mood for comedy moege with beautiful art, and have fun. That's all for what I can write in regard of this week, and see you next week.
  17. Congratulation on finishing Nagisa's route, and good luck on Yui's route which is very obvious that she is the main heroine of Ushieta.
  18. Good for Visual Arts they want to localize Kanon regardless on how I'll call it as redundant anyway, seeing we already have the translation patch from way back in 2009. They also put some effort to resize the CG to 1280x720, so again good for them. That said, at this point the only KEY related news that I want to see is if Anemoi can see English release, and also Lunaria Steam release.
  19. Like everyone said, just go the webpage that display the info about the unofficial translation and then click 'Official Website'. Usually it'll display either the webpage of the translation project or the patch to download. There are some example where the patch become vaporware because the group for some reasons decided to delete the link to the patch (Such as Walkure Romanze or Dracu Riot), although if the VN is popular enough it's easy to get the translation patch from somewhere. As for whether the fans usually use MTL or not, in the past it would be considered bad to use it because back then Google Translate badly translate the word. While nowadays MTL is improved so much that, it still very hard to erase the stigma, especially because the MTL didn't really know the nuance in Japanese words and therefore the translator still need some Japanese knowledge if one want to use MTL, or rather it would be said that it's better to use MTL as one of the tool instead of fully reliant to it (Obviously reveal the usage of MTL would definitely cause the problem). In the end, while I won't deny my involvement in the project that translate Amayui using DeepL, I would say that it's still better to use manual translation if possible. By the way while nowadays it's hard to know if the translator use MTL or not, I would say that as long as they didn't admit it then we can say the translator didn't use MTL.
  20. Visual Novel Translation Status (12/05/2024) Welcome to this week VNTS Review. For the title, because we have Fata Morgana side story (The Erasmus two-faced stories) released along with Sheol update, I combined 'Two-face' from Erasmus and 'Saint' from Sheol full title (Happy Saint Sheol), so we have 'Two-faces Saint'. As for this week, overall it's quite a breather after the previous two eventful week and before Anime Central with Sekai and Mangagamer will attend. Obviously we still have some updates, with the notable one is the aforementioned Fata Morgana Side Story release along with Steam store for Harvest Festa is now opened. Other than that, we also have Mangagamer updates that I didn't write on the last week. Let's see what I can write in regard of this week. For Erasmus, I have no much to say other than it's the side story for two Fata Morgana casts who find themselves have received the invitation from their respective acquaintances only to find themselves in the middle of confusing situation or something like that. What I know is that instead of Mangagamer, this time the one who worked on this is the fans. Speaking of Mangagamer, once again they have updates at the last week, and for the updates we have Sex Open World is almost fully (At 98%) translated along with 90% edited, Rance 03 is past three quarter (79%) translated, Rance X is at 94% translated, Funbag Fantasy 4 is at 84% translated along with 80% edited, and Ixseal is at 88% translated. Sekai has two updates, and one of those is Sheol in which currently is in QA work with it currently is 40% done. Another update is they finally manage to open the Steam store page for Harvest Festa, and they also already aiming for 2024 release. Frontwing decided to delay Lilja release with the new release date will be on July 25th later, and while it's too bad I understand they may need some times to tidying the game before the release. Speaking of release, Cherry Kiss just announce they'll release their newest nukige with the heroine is the cosplayer, and the exact release date for it will be on 23rd later. For the fan translation updates, we have Akagoei 3 is at 68.79% translated, ChuSingura is at 44.04% translated, Taima Seiko Alice is at 40% translated, Shinzou Translation secret project is at 30% translated, and Ushieta is at 63% translated with Nagisa's route is at 87.5% translated. Almost forgot to mention that Everlasting Flower release is also delayed like Lilja, and the new release of it will be on August 29th later. That's all for what I can write in regard of this week, and see you next week.
  21. Welcome to Fuwanovel even though you already have few posts in here, although it's not like I should speak about it anyway seeing I made introduction thread after had 40 posts). I also like Subahibi to a degree, although I didn't pay much attention to the philosophy stuffs even though it supposed to be the main feature. Anyway, I hope that you'll enjoy yourself in here.
  22. It's quite surprising to see Bug System being active by creating the prequel for Shibikuzu, which I'll call it as Shibikuma, although I can only say they still get it when it come to making disturbing sex scenes. It's also surpring to see Bishoujo Mangekyou 6 after the last game was supposed to be the finale of the series, although I guess they want to start with new continuity (By the way I just find out the company share the same root as FAVORITE). Anyway with two bigger release with nukige (Admittedly Bishoujo Mangekyou is quite well received) and Gears of Dragoon 3 has few votes, I can only think of Lovepical Poppy as VN of the Month if you favor non-nukige VN. It's also Smee's new work after a while, and interestingly there's no Hayase Yuu as the writer although the director is still the same. Honestly speaking, no much that I can comment on this other than it has adult MC, blood related little sister heroine, and it was set in summer. As for who can localize it, obviously Nekonyan is the first company that we would think of, although Shiravune is also possible with them localized HaremKingdom. That's all for what I can write in regard of April 2024 release.
  23. Welcome to Fuwanovel and sorry for the belated greeting, @cheeriofujisaki. If possible, you can tell on which great ways of VNs that you want to learn (Either by asking more recommendations or on how to translate the VNs), and that way we may be able to help you. Nevertheless, I hope that you'll have fun in here.
  24. Visual Novel Translation Status (05/05/2024) Welcome to this week VNTS Review, and as for the title I'll tell it in PS later. As for this week, let's just say it's another very interesting one, thanks to both Aoi Tori and Mashiro Iro release. Other than those two, there are several other releases, although those are not as interesting as those two. Obviously we still have some updates, with the notable one is Amanatsu exact release date announcement. Oh yes, we also have PQube announce an otome VN, and unlike Aksys they also announce the Steam version of it. Anyway, let's see what I can write in regard of this week, and while I know Mangagamer just has updates I'll save the talk for the next time. Speaking of otome VN, we have Tsuki no Onna released with the premise big breasted female MC who find herself befriended a serial killer and soon have a blossoming romance, although it also help the female MC herself has some big issue as well. Another thing to note is that the VN has sex scenes, so feel free to get Tsuki no Onna if you want to play otome VN with sex scenes. For the otome VN that PQube announced, it's Gensou Manege. For the premise, it's about the female MC Emma who attracted to the music from the traveling amusement park find herself working at the park, and from there eventually she'll find the key to unlock her lost magic and memories. No release date yet, but at least we know it'll be available on both Steam (ie PC) and Switch. Idea Factory reveal the exact release date for Cupid Parasite FD, and said date will be on 28th later. Kagura Games was announced two VNs, Angel Tear and Forsaken Quartet, with both of those are more or less nukige. For Angel Tear, it's about the girl who can become the titular magical girl Angel Tear with her must endure a lot of rape in order to save the world, and the reason is because her enemies decided to corrupt all male to rape Angel Tear. So yeah, this is more or less magical girl nukige, which in a way resemble Dead Aegis except without being raped to get the power part. For Forsaken Quartet, it's about two male and two female who live in the floating island after the all of the other human extinct. At first their live goes well, although obviously sooner or later it'll go spiraling downward with one of the possible happening is NTR. For the release date, we only have one for Forsaken Quartet with the exact release date will be on 18th later. Speaking of nukige, Sekai also released one (Kurikuri Click) which turned out to be the first part of the trilogy. Rattan Man released the partial patch for Taima Seiko Alice that has translated 35% of the game, so feel free to try if you're curious. Other than that, we have ChuSingura is at 43.61% translated with Chapter 2 is at around 84.16% translated, Shin Koihime Musou is at 71% edited, Akagoei 3 is at 66.21% edited, and Ushieta is at 60.1% translated with Nagisa's route is at 73.5% translated. Shiravune did release Taimanin Yukikaze, and no much to say it's redundant release along with it has new translation. For the premise, it's about Yukikaze who is tasked to infiltrate the stronghold of the bad guy, and of course being nukige normally Yukikaze was at first forced to act as the prostitute before finding herself lost in pleasure. We also have them announced Amanatsu exact release date, with said date is 17th later. For the bigger Shiravune release, obviously it's Mashiro Iro along with Sana Edition. For Sana Edition itself, it's the fandisc like game with it has common route and the remake of Sana's route that initially available in PSP route (Palette also add sex scenes for Sana which is not available in PSP for obvious reason). For Mashiro Iro, it's about Shingo who has his school is about to be merged with the all girl school, only to find the rejection from the principal's daughter herself, Airi. Seeing the challenge, Shingo tried his best to understand and persuade Airi in order to let the merge through, and ultimately he manage to do so. Mashiro Iro has Tsubasu's art, so obviously it's quite good looking, and the anime art itself is also good looking courtesy of Kawamura Toshie who work on the anime art. Go get Mashiro Iro if you want some light charage and maybe Sana Edition if you like Sana (Which too bad that Palette sold them separately instead of just add Sana's route in the main game itself like PSP version), and have fun. Last but not the least, we have Nekonyan released Aoi Tori. Granted there's several strings attached, such as Purple Software pressuring Nekonyan to release it in April at most (Which indirectly answer why they work with multiple publishers) and Steam rejected the build (Not banned), but in the end the release is still the release (I'll write about Steam release if the reviewer accept it). For the VN itself, we have Ritsu who is abandoned in the all girl academy inside remote mountain and worked as priest. He also has superpower, and his power is to give the blessing to the receiver with sex is the most potent way to get the blessing, so naturally he's nothing more than gigolo who have sex with more than one female. One day after he gave the blessing to the two students, he was called by the devil who inform there's some disturbance. From there, his life which is quite monotone has start to change. Go get Aoi Tori from either JAST, Mangagamer, Denpasoft, or Kagura Games if you've been waiting for it, and have fun. That's all for what I can write in regard of this week, and see you next week. PS - For the title, because we have Aoi Tori and Mashiro Iro release, I decide to make a parody of Hibike Euphonium movie, Liz and the Blue Bird (TL Note: Aoi Tori mean Blue Bird), with I changed 'Liz' into 'Miu'. To elaborate, Miu is the canon heroine for Mashiro Iro anime, and since we have Nozomi in Liz and the Blue Bird with anime Shingo resemble YPC5 Coco's human form (Because Kawamura is also work on YPC5 anime art), I chose Miu to make parallel of Coco chose Nozomi as his wife in Otona Precure ending.
  25. Mashiro Iro is now available for purchase alongside Sana Edition on Steam with 40% launch discount (The xeet for the proof below). Feel free to get it from Steam or Johren (Because it's not available in the other stores yet), and have fun.
