Quite surprising there's much more releases compared to last month at 11 VNs. As for VN of the Month, I agree that it should goes to Kyokkou no Marriage (Rare ensemble VN with no trap MC and surprisingly intricate plot), with everlasting flowers come second thanks to it's nice graphic despite vote bombing for sprite's careless mistake (sprite decided to add the DRM which force the player to connect the internet each time they play it, which obviously no go for Steam deck user). Also while it's easy to see everlasting flowers as GL VN, turned out it's just have woman friendship at most. For the rest, goHELLgo has same director as Dohna Dohna and therefore have similar gameplay, Nagaruboshi was made by the regular illustrator for Frontwing (So they can publish it), and Hyakusen Toki is more like Kamidori prequel with the main casts is the member of the ruined noble in Kamidori (And looks like the reception are not as warm as Amayui 2). That's all for my comment on August 2024 releases.

Visual Novel Translation Status (01/09/2024) Welcome to this week VNTS Review, and because we have Lunaria Steam released along with Sleepless Nocturne announced, I decided to combine both words so we have 'Moonchild Nocturne' as the title with the 'Moonchild' word is from Lunaria full title (Lunaria -Virtualized Moonchild-). For this week, other than the already mentioned Lunaria Steam version release and Tsui no Sora release, we also have sprite released Everlasting Flowers which turned out to be not full GL VN as people expected, Cherry Kiss announced yet another nukige, and also JAST was announced the release time for Mojika. Overall, this week is quite an average one, and let's see what I can write in regard of it. Once again Cherry Kiss announced yet another nukige, and said nukige is called Hypnosis Idol: Greatest Tits with the premise is the MC find out on how to have sex with his favorite idols. Said method is by using hypnosis, so the MC will do the hypnosis to his favorite idol group with all four of its member will have sex with the MC. Not the biggest announcement to me, but if you interested with it then you can wait until Cherry Kiss release it on Friday. We also have Lunaria Steam version release, and the premise is still the same with genius virtual online gamer Tabito encounter AI avatar Lunar-Q on the abandoned server which located in the moon, and Lunar-Q express her wish to see the Earth with Tabito tried his best to fulfill her wish. For comparison with Tsui no Stella, Lunaria is far lighter even though there are some dramatic turn in the story, which make sense seeing Lunaria is more like love story. Go get Lunaria Steam version if you've been waiting for it, and have fun. This week we also have some news in regard of the exact release date for two VNs (Forbidden Ward and Hime no Rakuen), with both will be released on 27th later. For fan translation, we have Akagoei 3 was fully finished its editing work and currently it's been in QA work with the latest progress the QA work for it is 18.06% done, and Taima Seiko Alice is at 60% edited. Also like I say beforehand we have Sakura no Uta translation project was started with it was at 8% translated, and for more elaboration the prologue was already fully translated with the first chapter, Fruhlingsbeginns past halfway (52%) translated. Oh yes, I did mention JAST is about to release Monika, and according to their site they'll release it in February next year. There's still no exact release date as of now, but at least it shouldn't be long wait if people have been looking forward to Mojika. Lastly, we have Everlasting Flowers in which it had some problematic launch, and obviously the problem is not really the VN is more focused on the friendship between two girls instead of full romance. But instead it's because sprite decided to add DRM that force the player to play the game online, which obviously won't be good in case people played on Steam deck or have the internet connection cut off, although thankfully sprite add the patch which remove the requirement to be online. That said, unfortunately sprite still didn't add Music Mode, in which they've been doing so since Aokana (Which Nekonyan ported the game so they can add Music Mode). For the premise, it's about the broken girl Mina get the invitation to live in the seaside lounge for the summer, and in there she met Ran who is the opposite of her. While sprite did some mistakes, at least they prove they can do good job on art with it was said to be the high point of the VN. Go get Everlasting Flowers if you've been waiting for it, and have fun. That's all for what I can write in regard of this week, and see you next week.

Anime of the Year 2022-I Winter - Shingeki no Kyojin: The Final Season Part 2
littleshogun commented on kivandopulus's blog entry in Anime of the Season
Sono Bisque - It's about the high school student who made Hina doll, Gojou, was asked by his classmate Marin (Who is very popular girl in the class). As for what Marin asked to Gojou, it's to make the costume for her to her cosplay hobby. From there, Gojou start to find himself like to make the costume (And allow the audience to learn about making costumes together with him) while he find himself getting close to Marin. The most recent chapter of the manga has Marin kiss Gojou after both have their own doubt, so good for them. DPPC - Initially we thought finally Toei starting to get normal after the pandemic, although unfortunately a careless employee manage to let the company server was hacked causing the shutdown on several server with Toei forced to delay the season like they did back in HealGPC. It's also notable Toei tried to do some experiment by making a male character become the expy of Tuxedo Mask (Helping the Precure fighting the enemies) with the male keep his secret to the heroines until the end of the series, and let's just say I hope Toei won't do similar experiment for a very very very long time. Anyway, this Precure is revolving about Yui who is like to eat, and as you can see the main theme of the series is food (Not limited to sweets like in KKPC). Komi Can't Comminucate - Like Sono Bisque, this series is about the male MC had the relationship with the popular girl in the class, which in this case it's about Tadano who have relationship with the titular Komi. For the story, we have Tadano sat on the next seat to Komi find out her secret beneath her cool beauty, namely Komi had big anxiety so much she can't communicate to the other person quickly. Seeing that, Tadano assured Komi that he'll help Komi to find her new friends as much as possible, and from there we see the relationship between both start to bloom. By the way the manga of this has unusual format for romance story, with it was tell in 4-koma format which usually used in comedy manga. Ousama Ranking - Another anime that I find out to be the candidate of the best anime in 2021 after Odd Taxi, and the arts are very contrast with on how dark the story in the anime can be. For the premise, it's about the kingdom who has it's legitimate successor thrown away from the throne, and the reason is because the legitimate successor Bojji is very weak physically while the king is expected to be very strong. Thus, Bojji start his journey accompanied by his loyal retainer Kage to get strong so that he can claim his rightful position for the throne. Note that while the characters in the anime looks like as simple as it is, there are much more to be discover beneath the first glance. That's all for what I can write in regard of Winter 2024 anime here. -
Anime of the Year 2021-IV Fall - Blue Period
littleshogun commented on kivandopulus's blog entry in Anime of the Season
Uma Musume - Obviously the anime staffs thought the audience would prefer male character in order to allow the male audience to self insert regardless of their interest, so the staff adding nameless male trainer who is the representation of the player from Uma Musume game. That said, at least the girls don't fight for trainer's love like in Two Cars. For the premise, admittedly the premise is kind of weird, with it follow the trend of Kancolle by making horses as the girl. For the anime, if you thought the girl being the moefication of the horse is too out there, you can always treat the girls do cosplay as the horse while doing long-distance run. Also the anime itself can be quite hot-blooded like usual shounen sport anime despite the cute outfit the casts wore. By the way, the races in the anime are usually based on real life horse race, and the horse name is also based on the real life horse. Yuuki Yuna - Apparently the writer of Majikoi, Takahiro, was inspired on his fellow VN writer, Urobochi Gen, success on writing dark magical girl series Madoka, so Takahiro decided to write his own answer to Madoka which is this series. Anyway, the premise is simple enough with Yuna and her friends are the members of hero club, and one of their job is to fighting the extraterrestrial threats as the magical girl. With Madoka comparison in mind, the girls need to pay the heavy costs in order to keep fighting. As you can see, there are three seasons, with the first season in 2014 is mainly deal with the main girls daily lives (Including fighting) which eventually got harder, the second season in 2017 expand the setting and show the eventual fight against the final adversary, and the third season is kind of unusual with it adapt two of the side stories from the novel while adding some additional setting that we learnt in the stories into the season 2 final battle. At least the ending of season 3 show the epilogue of the story, which was lacked in season 2. Super Cub - It's abut the girl who is alone without her family, Koguma, living her dull life. However, all soon changed when she figured out that it would be better for her to buy new motorcycle, and so she purchase used Super Cub which help her life to be more colorful. While obviously this make good slice of life anime, Honda saw the chance for advertisement, and so there'll be Honda product in the anime (I don't really know if Honda sponsored the anime though). Being possible Honda advertisement aside, the staffs really know on how to set the mood, such as when Koguma got her used Super Cub the coloring in the anime started to be more colorful, reflecting Koguma's new life. Jahy - It's about the 2nd in command of the demon queen Jahy got defeated by the magical girl, and then thrown into the Earth with Jahy need to do her best to restore the demon kingdom while suffering several bad lucks. Unlike Shamiko who is also has a number of misfortune, Jahy here is not exactly what we can call nice person, which make her misfortune is quite fitting fate for her. Still even with her bad lucks, she'll eventually got blessed by a number of small lucks. The studio manage to adapt the anime in more than one cour (At 20 episodes), although unfortunately it didn't manage to adapt Chapter 74, which would possible had the staffs got full two cours (24 episodes) green-lighted. Love Live Superstar - After their experiment with both Sunshine and Nijigasaki, the staff figured out it may be better back to the basic with Love Live with them make Kanon looks like Honoka (Original Love Live MC), hire the main director of original Love Live, and have the idol group save the school. That said, the staffs also add some new elements, such as make the initial five idols instead of initial nine with all of them are in the first year. For the premise, it's about Kanon meet Keke who is come all the way to Japan from Shanghai because her being idol otaku, and soon they formed school idol group. Obviously the staff initially planned two seasons before the third season was green-lighted with them leave the remaining story about Keke for the second season, although too bad the staffs was fumbled when they wrote second season ending which probably happen because they're not used to write Love Live with three seasons (The 3rd season will be aired in the upcoming October). Selection Project - Unlike Love Live Superstar, the staff decided to just make it as nine idols, although they also make the audition set up with the goal of the audition was to chose the next big idol after the idol Akari was passed away. I still remember on how the first episode ended dramatically with Suzune passed out after she sang in the audition causing some audience chose another candidate and made Suzune eliminated, although Suzune herself manage to passes anyway after the one who passed the audition quit the competition. Some did mention the main plot is similar to Idoly Pride, and to be fair it is with Suzune resembled Sakura while Akari's little sister Rena also join the audition with her initially looking up the others as rivals before finally defrosted. So with no male manager in sight, obviously we have the relationship between Suzune and Rena as the major focus of the story. Blue Reflection Ray - I did play the game Blue Reflection, and the game is quite unique with magical girl (Called Reflector in the game) as the casts fighting the embodiment of negative emotion in the other dimension. Turned out Gust manage to get some investment to continuing with Blue Reflection franchise which I assume was happened thanks to big revenue on Atelier Ryza sales, so we have Blue Reflection 2nd Light game along with this two cours anime which apparently was pushed by the illustrator himself. For the anime, it's a bit different from the game, and by different I mean we have Reflectors civil wars with the good Reflectors would tried to protect the human's heart while the bad Reflectors would steal the human emotions. The MC of the anime is Hiori who was chosen to be the good Reflectors, and then she decided to keep fighting the bad Reflectors alongside her friends. High Rise Invasion - Technically this anime is like Promised Neverland Season 2 with the staffs adapt 150 chapters into 12 episodes, although at least it's not that bad considering most of the chapters are spent in one place (At least from what I see when I read the manga). The story is about the ordinary high school girl Yuri who thrown into another world, and said world is very dangerous with it roaming with masked people who are brainwashed by the mask to kill everyone called Angels, so Yuri was understandably frightened at first. However knowing her brother is also trapped with her, Yuri tried to do very best to survive. While the anime adapted half of the manga, the staffs still manage to end it in cliffhanger so it's possible they count the possibility for the second season. Oh yes, this anime is available on Netflix with the staffs released all of it in one go instead of broadcast it weekly. Let's Make a Mug - Admittedly there's no much word to describe this show other than it being slice of life CGDCT anime with the girls focusing on making the mugs. It also came with the VAs of the main girls visiting the real life location which featured in the anime (So basically the anime promoted Tajimi town which is famous for its ceramic making), although obviously we just focused on the animation part so this is basically half-length anime. For the story, it's about Himeno who came back into her late mother hometown Tajimi with Himeno find out her late mother had been the prodigy in ceramic making. I tried to search about this anime in the past, and I find out the studio who worked on this anime was produce World Masterpiece Theater series in the past, so you can say the staffs still know on how to make slice of life anime (Just with less adapting overseas literature). Dragon Maid - The initial reaction from the GL fans where Kyoani adapt this would be doubt seeing Kyoani series usually tease GL only to throw it away later (One of the example is Hibike Euphonium) with Dragon Maid is pure GL, and turned out Kyoani successfully adapted this without downplayed the GL. With it being successful, obviously second season was planned. Unfortunately though, in 2019 one madman was deluded enough to think Kyoani copied his work and thus decided the best action would be do arson to Kyoani station, killing several Kyoani animators. It took years for Kyoani to recover, and Maid Dragon second season is the first anime that Kyoani produce after the disastrous arson which also planned as their comeback anime. For the story, it simple enough with Kobayashi encounter female dragon Tohru, and then Kobayashi herself start to encounter more dragons in her daily life. I also should mention while the series is mostly about daily life, sometimes Kyoani would exhibit their animation capabilities in the battle scenes. That's all for what I can write in regard of 2021 anime, and yes I'll use Autumn season to comment some anime that I keep my eyes on it at each years. -
Anime of the Year 2021-III Summer - Meikyuu Black Company
littleshogun commented on kivandopulus's blog entry in Anime of the Season
Realist Hero - One day after his grandfather passed away, Kazyua Souma was summoned into the poor kingdom in another world. Unlike the usual isekai MC, Kazuya didn't have very broken superpower, although he have a wealth knowledge about history along with ecnomy with he immediately demonstrate it to the king. Impressed, the king announced Kazuya as his successor, and obviously hard works await him. While obviously being the king is not easy, Kazuya start to pull all of his effort in order to get the kingdom out of bind, with one particular issue is the kingdom about to face both of the rebellion and the invasion from another kingdom. JC Staff did adapt this in two cours, and the anime ended with the arc where the former king reveal the real reason on why he chose Kazuya as his successor. Another thing to note here is Kazuya use Machiavelli book The Prince as the guide to rule the kingdom fairly rather than using it as the justification to be the tyrant king. Higurashi Sotsu - While the duology make the casts face another big ordeal after they were finally freed from it is very rude, at least people can say it tried to give more insight towards a certain character. Also if Ryukishi decided to forcefully connect Higurashi into Umineko, at least we can say the unnecessary ordeal the characters faces are part of the metaphor of a certain someone mindset. That said, we can still criticize Sotsu for revealing the main culprit at less than halfway of the duology (In episode 17 out of 39 episodes), which inevitably make Sotsu is basically giant filler for 80% of it because the staffs wrote the series like Ryukishi wrote the Question and Answer arcs in original Higurashi. For comparison, the original Higurashi revealed the main villain at past three quarter of the series and Ryukishi make use of Answer arc as the way to gradually revealed the main villain. That said, in the end I guess it may be worth to anyone who like the GL subtext between two of its casts, although there are much better alternative if you watch the duology only for the GL subtext anyway. Remake Our Life - Some people asked on why there's Island and Aokana promotion, and the answer is very simple because the original writer of the work is Kio Nachi (Aokana writer) and the anime developer is Frontwing. This work is about former mobile game developer staff Kyouya who find himself wasted away his life after he saw three people of his age shine more than him, and then Kyouya somehow whisked away into the past with he encountered those three talented people at their youth. Not want the chance goes waste, Kyouya decided to make full use of his chance by blindly working with the three talented people without realizing the consequences before it's too late. From what I see, looks like the anime is only covered halfway of the available novel with the manga has roughly the same ending as the anime. Kanojo mo Kanojo - The anime is about Naoya who become very happy after he was accepted as the boyfriend of his childhood friend, Saki. One day, he was confessed by another girl, Nagisa. Seeing Naoya such a nice boy (And it help Nagisa's earnest effort manage to grab Naoya's attention), he decided to accept Nagisa as his second girlfriend while accepting any obvious problem that will come from it. Thankfully the author is not the one behind School Days, so Naoya's head is still intact even if he need to deal with his two girlfriends (And eventually four girlfriends) are quite unique on their own. There'll be a lot of shouting in this anime, which is more or less the author's style ever since he wrote Aho Girls. Oh yes, the reason on why the author wrote the harem story is because he didn't want any of the girl unwinnable like in any romance manga with more than one love interest (ie Gotoubun, Nisekoi), which to say is quite interesting. That's all for what I can write in regard of Summer 2021 anime here. PS - Oh yes, mod Clephas did mention about Bakarina in which it's supposed to be otome game villainess stuffs. I decided to try do some searching on whether there's otome game that had similar scenario as Bakarina (And bunch of other works of the genre) with middle age and magic, and let's just say I didn't find any otome game villainess with the shallow motive like original Catarina. Obviously the author only think of shoujo manga villainess when he think on Catarina, and the reason for otome game setting in Bakarina is because he thought it's the only way to allow the girl to have more than one love interest (Never mind harem work rarely make use of dating sim/eroge setting and there's serveral well known reverse harem works). Regardless, Bakarina turned out to be very popular and thus the new writers didn't need to become rocket scientist in order to find out potential profit of the genre, thus perpetuating the misunderstanding of otome game villainess. -
Eden's Zero - What I know is the author tried to use space as his setting even though he still carried the power of friendship that people know back when he wrote Fairy Tail, which mean obviously he wrote Happy as the call back to Fairy Tail. Currently the manga is already finished, so the author can put his focus back on Fairy Tail 100-years Quest which currently got the anime adaptation courtesy of JC Staffs (Same studio who work on this). Oh yes, while the author usually make the MC name based on Japanese words of the season, this time the author decided to name the MC Shiki which mean 'Four Seasons' instead of just naming him something like 'Aki' (Japanese word for autumn) or 'Fuyu' (Japanese word for winter). Odd Taxi - I was bored when I do some browsing in regard of Best Anime in 2021, and several results did list Odd Taxi as one of those. Anyway while it's easy to dismiss the casts as the talking animals like in Zootopia or Bearstar, actually all of the casts are human with the animal appearance is because it's what Odokawa (The MC who also the driver of the titular taxi) percept. Odd Taxi is one of the hidden gem for Spring 2024, with people didn't expect it became popular at the beginning only to be proven wrong with the series gather quite a number of Blu-ray sales and eventually made the movie that address the cliffhanger ending in the TV series. Tokyo Revenger - Another shonen dark series which in like with Jujutsu Kaisen, although unlike Jujutsu Kaisen there's no much use of magic besides time travel. And yes, we have one here in which it was used by the MC Takemichi in order to prevent the death of his girlfriend Hinata. By the way you may mistaken Mikey as the MC, which is understandable because he was promoted more compared to the MC so much I thought he was the MC before I search more of it (Especially with he has cameo in Shikanoko anime). Admittedly Mikey's story is as much as important as Takemichi's quest, although in the end he's not really the one who start the story. Higehiro - Obviously this is one anime that would make people who never watch the anime practicing their moral preaching skill to the level of annoyance in Twitt..., I mean X. That aside, this anime is about the MC Yoshida who just had his confession was rejected by his crush suddenly find the high school girl Sayu outside his apartment, and Yoshida being confused he decided to allow Sayu to live in his house. Some times later, Yoshida realize the people may gossiping around him had someone find out he sheltered Sayu, although after he find out Sayu's extraordinary circumstances in which she ran all the way from Hokkaido to Tokyo alone he decided to allow Sayu live together consequences be damned. I did read the manga some times before the anime announced, and turned out the anime was adapted further compared to the manga. That's all for what I can comment in regard of Spring 2021 anime.

Achievements – An Anatomy Of Visual Novels
littleshogun commented on Pallas_Raven's blog entry in Towards The End Sky
About achievements, well I guess it depend on whether the gamer will try to get all of it or not, and sometimes it better to avoid if the requirement to get the achievements are very cumbersome. Generally speaking I never tried to get all achievements, although I remember I tried to get several achievements back in Star Ocean 3 (It help that collecting some of those mean new outfits and the early achievements are easy to get). For VNs achievements, usually Nekonyan tried to include one in their VNs. Obviously though not every VNs publisher willing to make the achievements, so it's understandable if Shiravune VNs didn't have it. Oh yes, you're quite right in regard of the achievement can spoil the plot to an extend (And usually I tried to pick up the spoiler from Steam achievement), although obviously the developers would be careful to not explicitly spoil the story through the feature. -
Visual Novel Translation Status (25/08/2024) Welcome to this week VNTS Review, and for the title I'll tell it in the PS below. For this week, at the very least I can say it's more lively compared to the last week. For this week highlight, we have Mangagamer and JAST announce new title, although both of them didn't announce big title like Nekonyan. Other than new title announcements, we have Shiravune became slightly active with them finally announce the release time for Sacrifice Villain along with Daybreak released Majikoi Ryouken After. Overall, initially this week is an average one to me, although we also have one surprise big release two days ago, so I can say this week is an interesting one. Anyway, sorry for being late and let's see what I can write in regard of this week. Aksys released Ihanashi no Majo on Switch, and they also announced the exact release date for PC version (October 22nd). For the premise, it's about the boy Hikaru who move to Okinawa in order to live together with his grandfather, although it's more like he's abandoned by his family because his grandfather was already fled before Hikaru came. In his first night on Okinawa where he search the place for him to sleep, he met the mysterious girl Lilun who is clearly not from Japanese despite her fluency. With both have nowhere to go, they decided to break into Hikaru's grandfather house and set it up as their residences. Few days later, Lilun was decided to reveal that she's a witch because of the emergency situation, with her fluence in Japanese is also thanks to magic. From what I can see, apparently there'll be many talks about Okinawan culture. Go get Ihanashi no Majo if you have Switch and want to play it (Or maybe wait until October 22nd if you only have PC), and have fun. Both Mangagamer and JAST were announce new title, and Mangagamer decided to bring surprise announcement by announced two Empress VNs (Sleepless Midsummer Night's Dream and Sleepless Nocturne). As we know, both JAST and Shiravune have licensed Empress title, and it's quite surprising because Empress apparently prefer JAST looking from two of their VNs licensed by JAST (I can only say it's too bad the announcement is no Lewdness which would be interesting if only because it has female MC). Anyway, both title have male MC who have the meeting with very sexy rich woman Mamiya Marie, although obviously we can't say MCs have the best luck, especially if we know on how ruthless she can be in Starless. Regardless my opinion on both VNs, at least I can see the art is quite good thanks to Sei Shoujo. No info on the release date, but at least there'll be no mosaic if you're worry about it. JAST released their VN from AX, and said VN is Seira. For the premise, it's about the male MC who is an office worker somehow have very strange dream with he always saw the maid Seira who always show her underwear. The MC tried to make use of the situation, and Seira being the good maid fulfill whatever the MC want, including to have sex in which Seira will do her best at it (Being nukige and all). The other notable thing is the art, with the artist also design the characters in both Shibukuzu and Manakashi, although obviously Seira is not have disturbing contents like those two. Go get Seira if you want maid nukige, and have fun. Back to the announcement, JAST announced Minagoroshi no Otome which is the newest VN from Dead End Aegis developer, so obviously there'll be magical girl have a lot of disturbing sex. Apparently it's about the female MC want to achieve her revenge with some GL romance between three couples, although I suspect there'll be tentacle sex scenes like in Dead End Aegis. No release date for English yet, because the VN itself is still not released yet with Japanese version will be released on October 25th later. For fan translation, we have Kud Wafter suddenly have progress with it's all age version is at 79.4% translated, Taima Seiko Alice is past halfway (55%) edited, Karenai Saku is past three quarter (79%) edited, and Akagoei 3 editing is almost finished with it is at 98.65% edited. Daybreak just released Majikoi A Ryouken After, and from what I see it'll tell the story on how Yamato will have many moments with Margit (Because Ryouken After is the sequel of her after story) with he will have harem because of Margit's squad members all show the interest to Yamato. Not my interest even though it has harem ending and Minato Soft somehow make this as the only Majikoi with wide screen resolution (1280x720), but good for Majikoi fan to get another Majikoi spin-off. Oh yes, I know there's Sakura no Uta translation project, although I decided to not wrote about it until now. Seeing it now finally has sizeable progress (At 8% translated), I decided to keep my eyes on it from now on. Shiravune finally show some activity in regard of Sacrifice Villains, and said activity is they manage to open the Steam store for it with the release time is said to be in Q4 of 2024 later (Up to December 31st later). Not really my interest, but let's see if Shiravune can release it before 2025. Speaking of Steam store, we also have Nekonyan manage to open the store for Kamikimi. Shiravune also announce one more VN, in which it's Real Eroge Situation DT with it's being nukige and telling us the reality of eroge MC with he will have a lot of sex with the girls around him (In this case five girls) even with he was called out as being unlucky. No release estimation as of now, so we need to wait for more news. Last but not the least, we have Tsui no Sora Remake translation patch, which is definitely good news after a certain failed attempt. For Tsui no Sora itself, it's more or less very similar to the first half of Subahibi, in which SCA-JI obviously designed Subahibi as the 10th anniversary game of Tsui no Sora before change the time setting to match 2012 apocalypse trend (I never forget on how I find out the days in Subahibi is actually match July 2009 instead of July 2012). The premise is once again very similar with Subahibi, with we'll going to see the events before the upcoming dreaded July 20th, 1999 from multiple perspective. The remake itself is obviously very similar to the old Tsui no Sora and the first half of Subahibi save for one difference, namely the addition of Yasuko POV who is basically nobody in Subahibi (She has slightly bigger role in the original, although not by much). Forgot to mention the developers did their best to revamped the character arts, especially to Yasuko who look very cute compared to her original art. Feel free to get Tsui no Sora Remake translation patch if you want to play it, and have fun. That's all for what I can write in regard of this week, and once again sorry for being very late here. See you next week. PS - For the title, because we have Sakura no Uta translation project significant update along with Tsui no Sora Remake release, I decided to make the title as 'Sakura Philosophy' simply because Tsui no Sora Remake has a number of philosophy talk just like in Subahibi.
-
Where do I get Tsui no sora remake?
littleshogun replied to TheSoaringDingo's topic in Visual Novel Talk
As of now there's full translation patch of it available from two days ago, so now you can play it in English in case you somehow still didn't play it yet. -
Anime of the Year 2021-I Winter - Jaku-Chara Tomozaki-kun
littleshogun commented on kivandopulus's blog entry in Anime of the Season
Nice to see you're almost catches up with the present anime as well, so I'll change my approach on commenting the seasonal anime here. Anyway, let's see what I can comment on Winter 2021 anime. Promised Neverland Season 2 - I tried to look up more in regard of Season 2 poor reception, and the reason is simply Aniplex for some reason decided to cram all ~150 chapters in 11 episodes despite they could milk it like their other franchises (Demon Slayer, Madoka, Fate), which should goes without saying is bad for pacing. Oh yes, I did mention Aniplex because Clover Works itself is the subsidiary of Aniplex. Interestingly the author themself is involved in the writing of the original story of the anime, although whether the mess of the anime is caused by Aniplex or the author who want to finish the story within two seasons of the anime or even the higher up, we never know. What we need to know is the anime skipped several major arcs, which some of those are important for the character developments so obviously the fans are very upset with it. TRPC - After HealGPC was hit by pandemic, Toei start to recover back with TRPC with the theme motivation vs laziness, which make sense considering the world that made people become lethargic after the lockdown. Toei also tried to be very serious in writing the series, with them hiring several experienced Precure writers. For the series itself, it's about Manatsu who met the mermaid Laura with Manatsu obviously become Precure soon after. Forgot to mention this is the series where Toei started to introduce their in-universe cosmetic brand, Pretty Holic, which become the mainstay of Precure since then (Up to the most recent Precure, WPC). EX-ARMS - Well, this series is definitely quite well known, although it's not because their 3D animation can rival Ufotable. But rather, the graphic is quite bad so much people made the meme about it. It didn't help the staffs are basically newbie when it come to the animation, so obviously it leaves a lot to be desired. For the story, let's just say it's just standard sci-fi setting with the MC become the AI and then eventually can materialize his human form in the final episode. Spider - It's one of unique manga with the MC being female and thus I look forward to see her getting human form. I did search about the series, and while I did get what I search for I was immediately overwhelmed by on how the series is turned out has very complex setting, which may or may not good depending on what you're prefer. Jaku-Chara - I pick the manga by random, and I see on how the shut-in MC was trained by a girl who is more or less want to be very perfect Aoi. Obviously with such very unhealthy obsession towards being the very best so much she decided to train the MC, there are some sign beneath her perfection and sure enough the author wrote her messed up situation. Unfortunately, the anime still didn't adapt that particular plot point because the author just wrote Aoi's story starting from 10th volume while the anime just focused on how the MC was grind his experience to be like Aoi, which is very understandable because it show the growth of the MC even though I keep waiting for more story of Aoi who seen to be out of focus for the most part (Until her story that is). Jobless Reincarnation - We have the MC who is expelled from his family and then died in the car accident, and obviously he was reincarnated as Rudy in the other world. While usually reincarnated MC has very strong moral character, Rudy before reincarnation didn't have the best character even after considering his past as the bullying victim. That said, he use his second life in order to improve himself and possibly do more good than his past life. It should be mentioned Jobless Reincarnation is not really the first isekai world seeing there are a number of popular isekai anime in the past, although it's the one that help popularized the genre so much it become saturated. Oh yes, while there are plans to adapt this in the past, there's no much words of it until 2021 when studio White Fox decided to form new team, Studio Bind, in order to make the anime series with very good production value. Idoly Pride - I find it darkly humorous on how the VA of the dead idol (Nagase Mana), Sayaka Kanda, turned out dead after she do suicide because of her messy circumstances. Story wise, it's about Mana's former manager (Kouhei) who tried to move on from the loss of his artist by forming the group idol. To his surprise, two of his new idol group members have unique circumstances, with one of them is Mana's little sister, Kotono, and another one has voice which is very similar to Mana, Sakura. While the series is like usual idol anime, the main story will be focused on the trio of Kouhei, Kotono, and Sakura for the most obvious reasons. That's all for what I can comment in regard of Winter 2021 anime. -
Pure x Connect Translation [Common route patch released]
littleshogun replied to tenshi25's topic in Released
Congratulation on the surprise release. Anyway, I'm curious on how the progress ongoing until now because the last time I follow this was two years (Or whether you'll continuing on it). If you're still continuing this after common route patch release, then good luck. -
Anime of the Year 2020-IV Fall - 100-man no Inochi no Ue ni Ore wa Tatteiru
littleshogun commented on kivandopulus's blog entry in Anime of the Season
Looks like Autumn 2020 is starting to look up after dry Summer 2020 anime, which in turn help a lot of people who suffer lockdown in the middle of pandemic. Anyway, let's see what I can comment on this season. Adachi and Shimamura - The other pure GL manga after Bloom Into You, although unlike Bloom Into You there's no explicit kiss. The anime itself is about the interaction between two trouble students, Adachi Sakura and Shimamura Hongetsu with both characters got equal focus. The other thing to note on the anime is it only adapted up to volume 3 of the light novel, which in turn only adapt around a quarter of the material compared to Bloom Into You which adapt half of the material. One more thing to note is that nice of Tezuka Studio to make beautiful art on it. Jujutsu Kaisen - What I can see is the manga is about to be ended on September 30th later, and it got quite popular thanks to the death of a very popular character from this series which mean anyone who following anime meme would inevitably spoiled about the fate of a certain character even before following the manga (Well for one I never follow the manga and yet I know about the character death). Other than the meme, honestly I have no much to say besides it's being published in Shounen Jump despite the story is more fit to be seinen, although then again published the manga in Shounen Jump is definitely help its popularity. Talentless Nana - After being successful with Sharin and G-Senjou, Looseboy decided to try his luck with the manga and he immediately start the story with his signature style, Bait and Switch, like in G-Senjou. In this case, after he did write on how the male character called Nana was deemed as Talentless because his talent is only to remove the other talent (For the info, the setting has people who can use superpower called Talent, and Nana here is like Mikan in Alice Academy with both have dispelling power and deemed useless by the others), a girl character who also called Nana killed male Nana and the female Nana cement her status as the MC with she only has very good if normal combat ability. Obviously, from here we'll follow on how Nana herself became like that and see if she can get her redemption. Tonikaku Kawaii - I don't really know if the slice of life in there can be said as marriage diary besides the writer and her wife (Which for the info was work together in Sore ga Seiyuu), although if it is then obviously their relationship won't be as dramatic as this anime. For the info, our MC Tsukasa here was almost going to isekai only to have cute girl Tsukasa save him. Afterwards, Nasa immediately propose to Tsukasa with she accept. There are more of the background story in this anime, but it's easy to say we'll going to follow Nasa and Tsukasa marriage life for the most of it. Higurashi Gou - After Ryukishi failed with Ciconia Phase 1 with the sales didn't reach what he want (It didn't help that the price is quite expensive for presumably one eighth of When They Cry series), he decided to milk Higurashi with he make the new anime and announced said anime as the remake. Which is fair considering Fruit Basket remake, except he decided to make bold writing by revealing that actually what he wrote is the sequel of Matsuribayashi, and I can only say that it's quite rude to throw the characters back into suffering after their happy ending (And not to mention some other stuffs that the other fans already pointed) even though some fans may not satisfied with how Higurashi ended. Easy to say that fans reaction is obviously prefer that it's not exist, and obviously Ryukishi need to tried his best to quell fans outrage by making the manga has different resolution. Anyway, with Ryukishi seemingly fail to get necessary funds to write Ciconia Phase 2, he decided to take a job to write new Silent Hill with the game is still in development. Elaina - I did learn on how people can practice their preaching and psychological analysis through watching this anime along with sharpening their debate skill, which good for them. That said, Elaina here is mostly prefer to not interfere with the other people problem as much as it's possible, although admittedly the way author depict it in the infamous episode 3 certainly won't be easily swallowed. Like you say, Elaina is another journey anime like Kino's Journey. For more info, it got second season and I like the opening song. Kuma Kuma Kuma Bear - It's about very rich shut-in teenager Yuna who thrown into the game world with she can only use her overpowered Bear equipment, and obviously it prompt people to ridicule her before Yuna swiftly prove her worth despite her harmless looking equipment. Also while Yuna here is prefer to laze around, she will surely lend a hand to anyone who need help, especially if the one who need it is children with the author keep having Yuna accepted the request from cute little girls. Anyway I did read the web novel, and it's still ongoing until now with the story itself is more or less episodic (So no ongoing plot thread besides Yuna keep beating any threat who in the way of her, at least for now). That's all for what I can comment on Autumn 2020 anime here. -
Dark Fantasy – Genre Deep Dive
littleshogun commented on Pallas_Raven's blog entry in Towards The End Sky
Well obviously dark fantasy is what people usually call as edgy, and in light novel it's usually the one that has revenge story. Obviously this type story would be too bleak for some people, although obviously it would be very engaging to follow until the end in order to see whether the casts can earn their happy ending or not in the bleak setting. Of course though, the writer should try their best to balancing the character development and breather in the midst of dark story, because after all almost nobody would want the story become bleak from the beginning to the end so much it make the story become not engaging at all. Oh yes, it's quite interesting most of translated otome has dark story, which is quite ironic compared to the male oriented VNs that have much lighter stories. Speaking of otome, actually what we saw in light novel with the genre 'Reincarnated as Villainess' is really misrepresent otome game, because most of the story in the light novel are mostly have kingdom setting with the villainess is not really prominent in otome VNs, and the reason why the author use otome game is probably because the author only understand otome is the counterpart of usual VNs where the female can date more than one handsome characters (To further make the counterpart with isekai harem novel) with the author can only refer shoujo manga when it come to make the in-universe otome VN. That aside, most otome VNs are only available on console, so it's too bad if you want to play those and only have PC or laptop. Forgot to mention usually dark fantasy VNs have some rape, which make sense as the way to instill the bleakness into the reader. For the prominent example, besides Maggot Bait there's euphoria with it has nice song along with surprisingly nice story beneath the disturbing sex scenes. Obviously the story should be the main draw, although obviously most people would prefer to avoid the rape altogether. Speaking of rape, there's Mugen Renkan with the female MC will suffer a lot of rape, which in hindsight make it closer to the otome when one think hard about it. Of course there's more than rape in Mugen Renkan, because it tell the story about the immortal female MC who did her best to find happiness in her immortality. That's all for what I can write in regard of this topic. -
Visual Novel Translation Status (18/08/2024) Welcome to this week VNTS Review, and for the title I made the parody of Zombie Police by changing 'Police' into 'Sword Princess' with the latter is from the title for one of Yamizome Liberator heroine (Ichika), so we have 'Zombie Sword Princess'. By the way, Ichika's setting is her father is the higher up in Japanese police department. Anyway as for this week, well it looks interesting. By interesting I mean the updates is very scarce and I have no much to say other than it's very plain week, which sort of make sense seeing we'll going to have some active week incoming so perhaps we can treat this week as a breather. That said, we still have some updates, and so let's see what I can write about this week. Actually the aforementioned Zombie Police was released on the last week, only that I decided to talk about it on this week. The VN itself is about the MC Tamura Yasu who is a detective formed a detective duo with the girl detective Kabane Akemi with Akemi peculiar body would help the investigation a lot. Akemi's peculiar body is zombie for some reasons, and thus she's the titular Zombie Police because both are working on the police. For what I can see, apparently the game will have similar gameplay like Ace Attorney (And by extension Ouka Sabaki), namely you'll doing investigation in the crime scene in order to collect testimonies and evidences before doing some deductions. No much to say other than the game is available on Steam and didn't have sex scene in the first place (So no need to ask for uncensor patch), and feel free to get the VN if you want some VN with detective works. For this week updates, first of all we have Akagoei 3 is now past 90% mark edited with it currently at 91.38% edited. Next, we have Idea Factory announced the exact release date for Date A Live Ren Dystopia, and said date will be on September 5th later. Visual Arts is finally announced the exact release date for Lunaria PC version, and according to Steam they'll release it on 30th later so you can note the date if you want to get it from Steam (The link to the store). As it turned out JAST has been working on Yamizome Liberator with the latest progress is they've been finishing with the QA work, and now they working on fixing the remaining bugs. Lastly we have a fan group translate One fanfic VN which is made by Alcot (Or rather their precursor), Stay -Fragments of Memories-. From what I can see, it tell the additional stories for three of One heroines, Mizuka, Akane, and Misaki, so it may worth to get if you're fans of those three, although beware of the main game spoiler if you play it. That's all for what I can write in regard of this week, and see you next week.

Well technically speaking learning Japanese is just need a bit more effort with the first step is learnt hiragana and katakana in which it has 46 characters each, although the kanji is indeed pose the problems with thousands of it available. That said, even if someone manage to persevere to learn Japanese in order to learn the Japanese in order to read untranslated VN, I think it's not really worth the effort if it made people became bitter when the VN they used as the reason to learn Japanese turned out not worth the hype and thus they became grumpy anytime people hype the localization work of said VN.
-
Decided to tried previous Venus Blood VNs (Empire and Abyss), and let's just say there's a reason why Ninetail decided to localize their VN starting from Frontier because Frontier is where Dualtail put major overhaul on the unit creation which they still use in Savior with some improvements in each of post-Frontier entries.

Visual Novel Translation Status (11/08/2024) First of all, Nasu still not released the expansion of the FGO with the name 'The Origin' despite that it would be cool for the player to play the story based on the original Fate, But instead it's because we have Fate/Stay Night remastered released, so I just add 'The Origin' in which it's also what Sunrise called the remake version of the very first Gundam (Gundam: The Origin). Anyway welcome to this week VNTS Review, and as for this week we have several releases with the biggest one is obviously Fate/Stay Night Remaster. Other than that, we have Sekai gave us several updates with the notable one being Harukuru's update, and also two more Escude VNs announced by two different publishers. Overall while in theory this should be the exciting week, I feel that it's more or less an above average one. With that done, let's see what I can write in regard of this week. For the Escude VNs which I just mentioned, there's Houkago Education announced by JAST and Sennagi announced by DL Site with both VNs have a number of sex scenes. For Houkago Education, we have one student of the all boys school was somehow manage to getting close into seven teachers thanks to said students attending the remedial lessons from those teacher, and before you wonder if Escude suddenly make BL VNs all of the seven teachers are girls. So basically you'll going to have date with the teachers, who despite the staffs obviously design them like usual high school students heroines are quite competent in many fields. Speaking of JAST, they just announced they'll release one of their title from AX (Seira) on 24th later. For Sennagi, actually it has been announced for a while, and I can only mention it as 'Beat Blade Haruka with Narika's VA voicing the main (And single) heroine and all of Noroi's cadres are cute girls'. The premise is no much different from Haruka, with Himeka was engage in sexual ritual as the way to obtain the power to fight the demon, and thus Himeka and the MC Souma do a lot of sex in order to save the world from the demons. Cherry Kiss released their nukige in which it's about the MC who want to have sex with his mother's best friend, and no much to say other than the MC will get his wish fulfilled along with it's the first VN from Orcsoft that Cherry Kiss published after all of their previous nukige are from Miel. Go get the VN if you want to play some nukige in case you like the art (Personally it's not quite appealing to me, but to each of their own), and have fun. Frontwing released Revue Starlight VN, and from what I remember about the anime it's about the female students who doing very dramatic play backed up with very dramatic story (Like Lupercalia) along with the anime has some GL subtext. I would say that I didn't have very high opinion on the VN which adapt the story from the other media, although at least the original writer involved in the VN writing, so there's that. Go get the VN if you want to see more Revue Starlight franchise, and have fun. Sekai just gave us several updates, with those updates are Sheol was in review by Valve (Good luck to that), Chiisana Kanojo is fully translated along with 65% edited, Wagahigh FD is at a quarter translated, Amairo Chocolata 3 is fully translated along with 15% edited, and last but not the least we finally have Harukuru in QA which mean Sekai finally got the engine from the developer so hopefully we'll see its release in the near future. We also have Shiravune announced Criminal Border Part 3 which has the story goes even darker, and it'll be release sometimes in this year. For fan translation updates, we have Akagoei 3 is at 89.22% edited, Majikoi Ryouken After is fully edited, and Ushieta is fully translated with the translator will be focusing on the image editing work. Lastly we have Fate/Stay Night release in which it's arguably the biggest release. I said arguably because technically speaking it has almost complete feature, such as voices and upgraded graphics. Granted the sex scenes are not in the Steam version, but it didn't matter anyway. It also has bugs, although it quickly taken over of after it goes viral. That said, technically speaking it's redundant release, because we already have it since 2008 courtesy of Mirror Moon. Granted some people mention on how Mirror Moon translation didn't really capture on the beauty of the prose that Nasu want to convey, but at least Mirror Moon provided the translation patch to anyone else who just want to read the story and didn't care much about the prose. For the story, it's about Shiro who has hero complex was dragged into the battle royale between the mages with each mages can summon their familiars (Servants) with Shiro somehow summoned Saber who said to be the strongest Servants. Go get Fate/Stay Night if you've been waiting for it (And spamming Mangagamer's survey with it) or want to see the other translation of the prose, and have fun. That's all for what I can write in regard of this week, and see you next week.

At first I thought the VN of the Month for July 2024 would be either Secret Love or Select Oblige thanks to both being full VNs, although turned out Select Oblige reception are not quite good compared to either Hamidashi or Wagahigh. Secret Love itself is quite nice if only for the uniform design, although story wise it should be expected that it's another moege from Hooksoft so you can just ignore the promoted gimmick (The gimmick for Secret Love is you can chose to either hide or reveal the relationship). Hookah Haze is like Valhalla, although some did mention on how it's too short. So yeah out of all releases, the only viable candidate for VN of the Month is Lilja in which it's another VN with same sex relationship after Yuri Trap Garden. Lilja has episodic story with the titular character will paint the GL couples. I don't know if Frontwing will make similar VN in the future seeing apparently it's just their experimental work, but I would like if Frontwing manage to do so anyway. That's all for what I can write on July 2024 releases.

Anime of the Year 2020-III Summer - Deca-Dence
littleshogun commented on kivandopulus's blog entry in Anime of the Season
Less anime than usual for understandable reasons, namely because Summer 2020 is the height of the pandemic and thus the lockdown was heightened. Oh well, at least it's easier to write the commentary with less anime here. Kanokari - Now that I look at the studio, I guess I can see why the author (Reiji) keep writing it despite the reader keep saying Reiji keep stretching the story to the almost ridiculous length. Also he at least know where his priorities goes when he made that memetic speech, because after all people would hate buying his manga (Whether they'll use it as fire starter or toilet tissue is another matter) anyway and he would get the money. That said, to be perfectly fair, the first season is still normal compared to the arc that the upcoming fourth season will be adapt (TMS surely find another nice Cash Cow after Conan). By the way when I read the article about this I imagined Kazuya is quite handsome, only for my expectation to be failed because he looks like shounen anime MC (I feel pity for Kazuya though now he stuck with the writer that won't give him good character development). Lapis Relight - It had nice premise all right even though in the end it's more or less typical idol anime, just with the staffs mixed up some magic and set in RPG based world along with fight the monsters. Misfit Demon Academy - Obviously with a bunch of works with overpowered MC no one expect the story to be original, but regardless people manage to like the anime anyway thanks to Anos being overconfident with several of his feats justify his boasts (It definitely help that Anos himself are quite handsome). Obviously being successful the studio decided to make more seasons of this, although unfortunately the next seasons were riddled with production problems so much the very last episode of the latest season was very late. That's all for what I can comment in regard of Summer 2022 anime here. -
Honestly I thought the same back when Utawarerumono 2 and 3 were only available for the consoles, only to have Shiravune proved me wrong by porting both into PC. Also recently Shiravune released the first White Album Remake in which it's only on PS3, so it should be possible for them to localize Tears to Tiara 2 as long as they have prepared the necessary steps.

Welcome to this week VNTS Review, and for the title I'll tell it on PS later. Anyway, this week biggest event is officially Otakon 2024, which in practice turned out to be Nekonyan's announcement even though Mangagamer also have the panel on it which they made private for some reasons. Other than Nekonyan announcements, we also have Fate/Stay Night HD release date and Kiminozo early backer release, and lastly we also have Milk Factory 3rd VN (Oppai Succubus) release by Frontwing. Overall, this week is almost exciting thanks to Nekonyan's announcements and several other updates which is very good after several plain weeks beforehand, and let's see what I can write in regard of it. After Nekonyan rescued both of Onikiss and Irotoridori licenses from Sol Press, this time they manage to rescue Sakura Celebration which it's almost complete when Sol Press was folded. The premise is still the same from way back when Sol Press announced it in AX 2019, with the magician MC coming back to his hometown in order to celebrate the long season of sakura blossoming. With it being Windmill VN, hopefully Nekonyan can also licensed the other Windmill VNs, such as Witch's Garden or HHG. Oh yes, Sakura Celebration is formerly known as the third secret project, and currently it's been fully translated and edited with the QA work on it is halfway done. Speaking of Onikiss, Nekonyan announced Onigyu in which it's another VN from Tinkle Position telling the story about the MC with asthma tried to do the experimental therapy, with said therapy was got hugged by his four cute little sisters. While there are some research about on how hugging can increase body immunity, obviously it didn't included the part of sex with blood related little sister. Onigyu also already has some progress, with it's at 65% translated along with halfway edited. Forgot to mention we also have some usual fan translation updates, with this week we have Taima Seiko Alice is at 45% edited, Akagoei 3 is at 17.24% in QA, Majikoi Ryouken After is past 90% mark (91.04%) edited, and Ushieta is almost fully translated with currently it's at 95.3% translated (Yui 1 was already fully translated with Yui 2 was past halfway (56.2%) translated). Turned out Nekonyan was also have the license for both Karichaimashita and Royale mini fandisc, with both obviously depict the after stories for the heroine while at the same time provided new material, particularly threesome sex that Yuki had with Emi and Hasumi in Karichaimashita fandisc volume 2. No much info about the progress other than they already have the localized name, After Hours for Karichaimashita FD and Victory Parade for Royale FD with After Hours translation has been worked on. For other Nekonyan updates on the older announcements, we have both Koichoco and Enki Dekinai are in QA and they still don't know the release time for Tenshi Re-Boot. Speaking of release, we have Nekonyan planning their upcoming release will be both Dracu Riot and Kakenuke with the planned release time in this summer or autumn, so let's see if we can see the release happening on time, moreso if we see Kakenuke is still at 85% translated. Since I mention the fandisc for ASa Project VN, I should also mention Nekonyan also have main ASa Project VN, with the VN in question is Futamata Ren'ai that I sort of predict will be localized by Nekonyan. For the premise, it's about the MC Nao was suddenly asked by half foreigner girl Kirame as her boyfriend as the way to take the responsibilities for what he did at the mixer. To make the situation more complicated for Nao, suddenly the popular girl Yua decided to make a move to Nao by asking Nao to be her girlfriend. With ASa Project decided to project (Sorry for the pun) Makoto on Nao by forcing him to do two-timing, obviously he did need his best to juggling with two girlfriends which to say easier said than done if Futamata is not comedy VN. For the progress of the VN, currently it's been fully translated with the Steam store for this is already opened (The link to the store). Nekonyan also have HajiLove Making Lovers, which is pretty much Makeover with the casts are in high school instead of young adult (By the way I forgot to mention Futamata casts are in college), and for HajiLove Makeover progress currently it's been fully translated along with 5% edited. age was manage to release Kiminozo HD Remake for the backer with the release for non-backer people will be on October 17th later, and it has censorship issue to put it simply. Other than censorship, I can say the story is definitely good in 2001 with dramatic love triangle and all, although nowadays people may inevitably compared it to WA2 which also already translated (And not to mention the sex scenes are still intact). Frontwing released the third Milk Factory VN, Oppai Succubus, and it's about the MC who tried to summon succubus dragged into the other world only to be asked to save the succubus school from being closed down because its erotic deviation score is too low. Obviously the MC will not produce the school idol like in Love Live, but instead the MC will have sex with the succubi in order to make them become experienced in sex and increase erotic deviation score. Go get the VN if you want some nukige with very big breasts heroines, and have fun. I did hope Shiravune would localize a certain VN from Cube, and turned out Nekonyan is the one who manage to do it. Said VN is Hacking the Moon to Find My Goddess or Kamikimi. The premise for Kamikimi is about the MC Kaito manage to do big feat by hacking the central AI which rule the countless other AIs, and Kaito in need to have girlfriend decided to commanding the AI to provide his ideal girl. In order to fulfill Kaito's request, the AI decided to make the the robot girl that match Kaito's request. Soon after, Kaito start to live together with the robot that match his ideal girlfriend, Tsukuyomi. While the story mostly has slice of life, it should be mentioned that it can be dramatic like Cube other VN, Same Nanokakan. Oh yes, the character was designed by Kantoku which we remember is also Your Diary (The one that has infamous translation) character designer. Kamikimi here is already fully translated and edited with the engine and image works are ongoing. For more info, Nekonyan working on Extended version, in which it'll have some additional contents akin of fandisc, such as the new route for the new heroine (Hazuki). Aniplex announced they'll release Fate/Stay Night on two days later (August 8th), and they also announced they've been working on Fate/Hollow Ataraxia with it will be available on both Switch and Steam. While I definitely think both are more or less redundant, at least there won't be any problem in regard of removed sex scenes like Kiminozo (Just read the older version if the fans are desperate for it very much), and more importantly it should stop people spamming, I mean keep filling Mangagamer's survey with Fate/Stay Night at each year. Last but not the least, Nekonyan finally revealed their 2nd secret project in which it's the biggest announcement, namely turned out they've been working on Hatsuyuki Sakura, which as we know is the most well known Niijima Yuu work. Hatsusaku is also part of season series from Saga Planet with it represent winter. By the way, I still remember on how I'd hear my roommate keep replaying the opening of this along with WA2 Closing Chapter and Grisaia no Meikyuu opening videos in 2012. Also I did remember it has two translation projects in 2013, although both projects are went to nowhere. Anyway while it has dramatic twist, the premise is quite simple with delinquent student Hatsuyuki met a strange girl Sakura, and then Sakura said she'll guide Hatsuyuki to the last winter. Since this is the 2nd secret project, it mean it's been fully translated and edited, which should be nice if not for one remaining problem. Namely they pending the porting work in order to prioritize other VN. For elaboration, Hatsusaku use Siglus engine which would be very costly to license, and so Nekonyan ported the game just like what they did with Kirikoi. That's all for what I can write in regard of this week, and see you next week. PS - Because we have Sakura Celebration got licensed by Nekonyan after Sol Press lost it for the very obvious reason along with Hatsuyuki Sakura got announced, I made the reference for fripside (Hatsuyuki Sakura opening song, Hesitation Snow, singer) other song, only my railgun (A Certain Scientific Railgun opening), with I combined both 'Sakura' and 'Railgun' words, so we have 'Sakura Railgun' as the title.

Welcome to Fuwanovel, and I see you apparently like BL VNs. Well, no much to say other than I hope you'll have fun in here and feel free to ask for VN recommendations. PS - By the way for an immediate recommendations, I would say Hashihime and Slow Damage should be nice to try in case you still didn't play those yet seeing both are well received BL VNs even though both are quite dark.
