Welcome to this week VNTS Review, and for the title I'll tell it on PS later. Anyway, this week biggest event is officially Otakon 2024, which in practice turned out to be Nekonyan's announcement even though Mangagamer also have the panel on it which they made private for some reasons. Other than Nekonyan announcements, we also have Fate/Stay Night HD release date and Kiminozo early backer release, and lastly we also have Milk Factory 3rd VN (Oppai Succubus) release by Frontwing. Overall, this week is almost exciting thanks to Nekonyan's announcements and several other updates which is very good after several plain weeks beforehand, and let's see what I can write in regard of it. After Nekonyan rescued both of Onikiss and Irotoridori licenses from Sol Press, this time they manage to rescue Sakura Celebration which it's almost complete when Sol Press was folded. The premise is still the same from way back when Sol Press announced it in AX 2019, with the magician MC coming back to his hometown in order to celebrate the long season of sakura blossoming. With it being Windmill VN, hopefully Nekonyan can also licensed the other Windmill VNs, such as Witch's Garden or HHG. Oh yes, Sakura Celebration is formerly known as the third secret project, and currently it's been fully translated and edited with the QA work on it is halfway done. Speaking of Onikiss, Nekonyan announced Onigyu in which it's another VN from Tinkle Position telling the story about the MC with asthma tried to do the experimental therapy, with said therapy was got hugged by his four cute little sisters. While there are some research about on how hugging can increase body immunity, obviously it didn't included the part of sex with blood related little sister. Onigyu also already has some progress, with it's at 65% translated along with halfway edited. Forgot to mention we also have some usual fan translation updates, with this week we have Taima Seiko Alice is at 45% edited, Akagoei 3 is at 17.24% in QA, Majikoi Ryouken After is past 90% mark (91.04%) edited, and Ushieta is almost fully translated with currently it's at 95.3% translated (Yui 1 was already fully translated with Yui 2 was past halfway (56.2%) translated). Turned out Nekonyan was also have the license for both Karichaimashita and Royale mini fandisc, with both obviously depict the after stories for the heroine while at the same time provided new material, particularly threesome sex that Yuki had with Emi and Hasumi in Karichaimashita fandisc volume 2. No much info about the progress other than they already have the localized name, After Hours for Karichaimashita FD and Victory Parade for Royale FD with After Hours translation has been worked on. For other Nekonyan updates on the older announcements, we have both Koichoco and Enki Dekinai are in QA and they still don't know the release time for Tenshi Re-Boot. Speaking of release, we have Nekonyan planning their upcoming release will be both Dracu Riot and Kakenuke with the planned release time in this summer or autumn, so let's see if we can see the release happening on time, moreso if we see Kakenuke is still at 85% translated. Since I mention the fandisc for ASa Project VN, I should also mention Nekonyan also have main ASa Project VN, with the VN in question is Futamata Ren'ai that I sort of predict will be localized by Nekonyan. For the premise, it's about the MC Nao was suddenly asked by half foreigner girl Kirame as her boyfriend as the way to take the responsibilities for what he did at the mixer. To make the situation more complicated for Nao, suddenly the popular girl Yua decided to make a move to Nao by asking Nao to be her girlfriend. With ASa Project decided to project (Sorry for the pun) Makoto on Nao by forcing him to do two-timing, obviously he did need his best to juggling with two girlfriends which to say easier said than done if Futamata is not comedy VN. For the progress of the VN, currently it's been fully translated with the Steam store for this is already opened (The link to the store). Nekonyan also have HajiLove Making Lovers, which is pretty much Makeover with the casts are in high school instead of young adult (By the way I forgot to mention Futamata casts are in college), and for HajiLove Makeover progress currently it's been fully translated along with 5% edited. age was manage to release Kiminozo HD Remake for the backer with the release for non-backer people will be on October 17th later, and it has censorship issue to put it simply. Other than censorship, I can say the story is definitely good in 2001 with dramatic love triangle and all, although nowadays people may inevitably compared it to WA2 which also already translated (And not to mention the sex scenes are still intact). Frontwing released the third Milk Factory VN, Oppai Succubus, and it's about the MC who tried to summon succubus dragged into the other world only to be asked to save the succubus school from being closed down because its erotic deviation score is too low. Obviously the MC will not produce the school idol like in Love Live, but instead the MC will have sex with the succubi in order to make them become experienced in sex and increase erotic deviation score. Go get the VN if you want some nukige with very big breasts heroines, and have fun. I did hope Shiravune would localize a certain VN from Cube, and turned out Nekonyan is the one who manage to do it. Said VN is Hacking the Moon to Find My Goddess or Kamikimi. The premise for Kamikimi is about the MC Kaito manage to do big feat by hacking the central AI which rule the countless other AIs, and Kaito in need to have girlfriend decided to commanding the AI to provide his ideal girl. In order to fulfill Kaito's request, the AI decided to make the the robot girl that match Kaito's request. Soon after, Kaito start to live together with the robot that match his ideal girlfriend, Tsukuyomi. While the story mostly has slice of life, it should be mentioned that it can be dramatic like Cube other VN, Same Nanokakan. Oh yes, the character was designed by Kantoku which we remember is also Your Diary (The one that has infamous translation) character designer. Kamikimi here is already fully translated and edited with the engine and image works are ongoing. For more info, Nekonyan working on Extended version, in which it'll have some additional contents akin of fandisc, such as the new route for the new heroine (Hazuki). Aniplex announced they'll release Fate/Stay Night on two days later (August 8th), and they also announced they've been working on Fate/Hollow Ataraxia with it will be available on both Switch and Steam. While I definitely think both are more or less redundant, at least there won't be any problem in regard of removed sex scenes like Kiminozo (Just read the older version if the fans are desperate for it very much), and more importantly it should stop people spamming, I mean keep filling Mangagamer's survey with Fate/Stay Night at each year. Last but not the least, Nekonyan finally revealed their 2nd secret project in which it's the biggest announcement, namely turned out they've been working on Hatsuyuki Sakura, which as we know is the most well known Niijima Yuu work. Hatsusaku is also part of season series from Saga Planet with it represent winter. By the way, I still remember on how I'd hear my roommate keep replaying the opening of this along with WA2 Closing Chapter and Grisaia no Meikyuu opening videos in 2012. Also I did remember it has two translation projects in 2013, although both projects are went to nowhere. Anyway while it has dramatic twist, the premise is quite simple with delinquent student Hatsuyuki met a strange girl Sakura, and then Sakura said she'll guide Hatsuyuki to the last winter. Since this is the 2nd secret project, it mean it's been fully translated and edited, which should be nice if not for one remaining problem. Namely they pending the porting work in order to prioritize other VN. For elaboration, Hatsusaku use Siglus engine which would be very costly to license, and so Nekonyan ported the game just like what they did with Kirikoi. That's all for what I can write in regard of this week, and see you next week. PS - Because we have Sakura Celebration got licensed by Nekonyan after Sol Press lost it for the very obvious reason along with Hatsuyuki Sakura got announced, I made the reference for fripside (Hatsuyuki Sakura opening song, Hesitation Snow, singer) other song, only my railgun (A Certain Scientific Railgun opening), with I combined both 'Sakura' and 'Railgun' words, so we have 'Sakura Railgun' as the title.

Welcome to Fuwanovel, and I see you apparently like BL VNs. Well, no much to say other than I hope you'll have fun in here and feel free to ask for VN recommendations. PS - By the way for an immediate recommendations, I would say Hashihime and Slow Damage should be nice to try in case you still didn't play those yet seeing both are well received BL VNs even though both are quite dark.

The Grisaia Trilogy Review – Fruits of Many Flavours
littleshogun commented on Pallas_Raven's blog entry in Towards The End Sky
I tried to search gotsugoushugi thingy, and apparently it mean plot convenience which would be similar to Deus Ex Machina (Or Diabolos Ex Machina for the story getting worse). Obviously the usage of this is always cause controversy no matter which side of the world, although whether the usage would destroy the enjoyment of the story or not is up to each of their own. About Grisaia, let's just say I did think Meikyuu and especially Rakuen as the fandisc simply because there's no canon route in Kajitsu, something that Frontwing didn't provide at 2011 because they intend Kajitsu as their last VN and ready to scrap the trilogy plan. Of course, history speak otherwise and thus Frontwing continued the trilogy plan while recklessly expand the franchise (Phantom Trigger and Chronos Rebellion). Anyway forcing charage into linear VN obviously would cause issues especially with one of the ending is pretty much completed, so Frontwing tried to fix the situation by showing on how Yuuji help all five girls in the anime, which to say not really perfect but at least it get it's job done. Speaking of VN series that turned into trilogy or duology, there's Galaxy Angel or Ryuusei World Actor which does the continuity better (Galaxy Angel ask us to chose the heroines at the beginning of the sequels, while Kinugasa (For all his ending writing fault) always wrote the sequel based on the available ending). There's also Sharin in which the fandisc is like Meikyuu, and Keiichi stated to Hozuki he chose Hinata as his lover. My point is all of those examples write the continuation based on the available endings, something that Frontwing didn't do with Grisaia, so yeah I can definitely see if you have the problem with it. Anyway, for all of it's fault on connecting the sequels, at least the author manage to write nice character stories, which allow Kajitsu quickly to become well known VN with I remember did keep my eyes on by then active TL Wiki site to see the translation progress of Kajitsu. That's all for what I can write about Grisaia here. -
So that's what Shiravune recently doing then. I see. Not like I care about Utawarerumono spin-off anyway, but good that Shiravune keep helping Aquaplus localized their game, which by the way I still waiting to finally see Tears to Tiara 2 on Steam.

Visual Novel Translation Status (28/07/2024) Welcome to this week VNTS review, and as the title since we have Lilja released with the titular character is the painter, I decided to make the title as 'Poem of a Painter' with the original word is from Sakura no Uta direct translation (Poem of Sakura). As for this week, let's just be blunt that it's very plain with the only notable update is Lilja release. Other than it, I can only say Sekai surprisingly already have set the Steam store one of for their VN, Chiisana no Kanojo, or in English is A Maiden's Serenade, so at least there's something. With that done, let's see what I can write in regard of this week. Once again Sekai already set the Steam store for Maiden's Serenade (The link), although the release time is only listed as 'Coming Soon' so it may take a while before the release. They also have two surprise updates, namely they have Amairo Chocolata 3 is at 90% translated and Wagahigh FD is at 20% translated. For fan translation, we have Akagoei 3 is at 88.01% edited, Majikoi Ryouken After is at 42.96% edited, Majikoi A Plus Disk is at 17.66% translated. Other than Lilja release, Frontwing also announced the exact release date for Milk Factory 3rd VN, with said date will be in August 1st (is tomorrow), so feel free to note the date if you waiting for the nukige about the MC who isekaied to the big breast succubus academy. Lastly we have Lilja released by Frontwing, and looks like it's the story about GL even though it's not necessarily for the main couple (The titular Lilja and Natsuka). The premise is about the blind painter Lilja who live together with her assistant Natsuka, and Lilja herself is quite an eccentric painter with her only want to paint things that pique her interest. It should be noted while the writer (Asou Ei) was experienced in writing VN with disturbing stories (And sex scenes) such as Kuroinu and euphoria, the writer himself also write one of Sakura no Uta route (Which people deemed out of place), so he didn't exactly new when it come on writing the VN without the disturbing sex scenes (Lilja itself still has some drama though). Oh yes, Lilja itself has episodic story with Lilja herself accepted the requests to paint her clients who are in GL relationship with Natsuka act as Lilja's eye (Lilja being blind and all) investigate the clients stories. Go get Lilja if you want GL VN with some drama, and have fun. That's all for what I can write in regard of this week, and see you next week.

Anime of the Year 2020-II Spring - Kingdom 3rd Season
littleshogun commented on kivandopulus's blog entry in Anime of the Season
You did miss some anime which is understandable, so I'll do the comment on some missing anime here. Also Spring 2020 is when the pandemic start to taking effect, so there's less anime than usual. Yu-Gi-Oh VRAINS - The anime was aired from 2017 to 2019 with it's the last time Konami promote regular duel in the anime. In here Konami decided to make the card for the main character be a bit useful for the meta game after the last two MC signature cards didn't make impact in the meta game, although unfortunately Konami did their job a bit too well so much the MC signature card, Firewall Dragon, become the bane of the real life game and thus banned before getting the nerf. Oh yes, Konami also introduce the new method of Extra Deck summoning, Link Summon, with it overshadowed the other methods at the time of VRAINS aired. Story-wise, VRAIN is about Yusaku who has very troubled childhood as the orphan and using duel as the way to do revenge, so easy to say VRAINS has darker premise compared to ARC-V. Shokugeki no Souma 5 - At that time of the author write that arc the manga was facing the decline, so the author decided to basically self-insert as controversial villain Asahi in order to get the interest from the reader. Unfortunately, the author didn't really excel at the cooking writing despite Asahi was the so-called top chef with the cooking consultant took maternity leave mean the manga was guaranteed losing one of it's main draw, which is really evident when Asahi spent his time brag his win as if the author desperately lengthen the chapter while he had writer block. Obviously the reader lost interest after the author basically self-insert himself, so the manga was understandably cancelled. The author wrote some after stories, although he didn't manage to find the way to fit the romance even after using the most classic trick with the hero Souma supposed to save Erina from the author Asahi, never mind the author himself is hentai manga writer with some obviously has romantic set up before the sex scenes. With such messy arc, of course most people won't ask for the adaptation, although JC Staff deliver the adaptation anyway with they trim some of the messiness from the arc so good for JC Staff to put the effort on the adaptation that almost nobody asked for. Interspecies Reviewers - It's formerly one of the highest anime rating on MAL, although the anime didn't have the story like Frieren with the MC reminiscing the old journey while on the new journey, but instead the MC was reminiscing his experience on enjoying prostitution service from the different species and then wrote the review about it. Yes, this anime here is mostly about the MC has sex with different species and therefore has a lot of explicit contents. As for why it has high score, it's mostly because it's the joke from a certain Youtuber who is very angry after Funimation cancelled the series after they deem the anime is too explicit with said Youtuber ask the people to vote bombing the anime with 10. Obviously MAL admin was immediately saw something wrong with it and they took the action quickly. Controversy aside, I can say the opening song is quite nice despite the lyric. Bakarina - The full title is too long so I'll just list the anime as the nickname of the MC, Katarina Claes, and the reason for the nickname is because she was too focused on escaping her death flag while ignoring the growing affection of the people around her. This series is the start of where it popularized the MC reincarnated as the villainess in the otome game (Even though it's more like shoujo manga villainess), so understandably it's quite basic compared to what we have in the future. Honestly one season is more than enough seeing the anime adapt the whole web novel, although the novel became very popular so the author wrote more of it in the light novel with the anime get the second season. So I would say that if you didn't like the second season then you can just watch the first season only. Oh yes, there are some GL subtext in the first season, although future stories decided to go full otome and decrease GL subtext That's all for what I can write in regard of Spring 2020 anime here. -
Well for Summer 2004 I watched Shikanoko (My Deer Friend Nokotan) along with Legend VTuber and Mayonaka Punch.

What a daring confession there. What I can say about that is while technically speaking you can get Reflection Blue if you're googling enough, it would be more proper to wait until Visual Arts released Reflection Blue even though we don't know when it'll be happen yet. That aside, someone was already answer the difference with Reflection Blue has more routes compared to the original Summer Pockets. For more elaboration, original has Tsumugi, Ao, Kamome, and Shiroha routes while Reflection Blue add new heroine Shiko along with the routes for Shizuru and Miki (Side characters in the original). Technically there's also Umi's route with Umi herself is very important side character in the original, but there's a reason why I mentioned her route separately. PS - By the way I prefer the opening for the original Summer Pocket, but since Reflection Blue keep the original opening video in the Gallery, there's almost no reason to not to chose Reflection Blue when it come to Summer Pockets, doubly so if we look on how both are all age in the first place.

Visual Novel Translation Status (21/07/2024) Welcome to this week VNTS Review, and as for the title because we have magical girl nukige Angel Tear I parodied the magical girl anime with explicit contents, Gushing Over Magical Girl, by changing 'Magical Girl' with 'Angel Tear', and it should be noted both works are have magical girl having sex. For this week, let's just say that overall this week is another plain one even though it has Angel Tear which supposed to be quite interesting if only for the magical girl nukige that is rarely translated. Other than Angel Tear release, we also have Sekai manage to release Nekonin ExHeart Spin. Oh yes, we also have Nekonyan revealed they have another three secret projects, which make it five new secret projects. Let's see what I can write in regard of this week. Once again we have Angel Tear released, and it's magical girl nukige about Yuuri who is an ordinary high school girl suddenly recruited as the magical girl Angel Tear. As per magical girl stuffs, of course Angel Tear job is revolving around fighting the demon in order to protect humanity, and as the super heroine she obviously has some people who've been gushing over her. Obviously the demon need to be intelligent in order to fight the Angel Tear, and so the demon decided to laid the trap after Angel Tear let her guard down because she was ran out of energy. Seeing Angel Tear has very nice body, the demons make full use of her body by contaminate the men around her with the only way to save them is with sex. Thus began what would be Angel Tear's big problem, because she also need to serve the man who've been gushing over her sexually with some of them lying about being hypnotized. Go get Angel Tear if you want some magical girl nukige, and have fun. Cherry Kiss announced their next nukige in which it's not from their usual partner (Miel) but instead it's from Orcsoft, and I can only say it's about the MC who want to have sex with his mother's best friend for the obvious reason. That, and it'll be released on August 9th later. PQube released Ryuusei Fantasia, and I can only understand it's otome game about the male idol with the female MC became the producer. At least it's nice PQube made it available on PC unlike Aksys and Idea Factory who only made their otome game available only on console, so get the game if you want the otome version of Idolmaster. Sekai manage to release Nekonin ExHeart Spin, and I admit it has nice art despite I would like to see them localize longer Whirlpool VNs if possible. For the VN, it's about the new MC of Nekonin Kikumaru who just lost his grandfather suddenly visited by a cat-earred ninja girl during the wake. Afterwards, the ninja introduce herself as Touka and mention her task to protect Kikumaru. From there, Kikumaru's life start to get a bit turbulent, especially with her sister turned out to be tanuki-earred ninja. Go get Nekonin if you want more catgirl, and have fun. For fan translation updates, we have Taima Seiko Alice is at 40% edited, Akagoei 3 is at 87.94% edited, Ushieta is at 86.5% translated with Yui 1 is at 88.6% translated, and Karenai Sekai is at 24% edited. Lastly we have Nekonyan revealed their three other secret projects on their Discord (No progress report on those new secrets though), which mean we have potential five new title announcements from Nekonyan at Otakon later, although whether the announcements will be interesting or not we'll see. That's all for what I can write in regard of this week, and see you next week.

Welcome to Fuwanovel and sorry for the belated greeting, @deoxysans. In case you need some KEY VN recommendations, perhaps you may try something like Little Busters or Summer Pockets if you need something lighter (For them) and still not playing it yet. I hope that you'll have fun in here.

Visual Novel Translation Status (14/07/2024) Welcome to this week VNTS review, and because we have Hookah Haze release with the premise is similar with Coffee Talk, I made the parody of Coffee Talk by change 'Coffee' into 'Shisha' with shiha is another name for hookah, so we have 'Shisha Talk' as the title. As for this week, while usually we got a breather after AX, this week is quite plain seeing there's no much happening. That said, there's still some news to note, such as the release of Hookah Haze and Sekai revealed the progress for two of their projects. With that done, let's see what I can write in regard of this week. Last week I did miss some updates from AX, so let me try to round it up here. At AX, Mangagamer did announce the release date for one of their VN, with said VN is Steam Prison fandisc and the release date for it will be on November 28th later so feel free to note the date if you want to see more Steam Prison. Also actually Denpasoft did announce Kurikuri Click 3 with the VN decided to be a bit meta with the single heroine being gravure model who also is a succubus (For the info the VA of the trilogy is gravure model), and looks like the announcement is too underwhelming so much nobody add the English version entry on its VNDB page. Aniplex had the biggest announcement that I missed last week, although said announcement is the plan to localized second part of Tsukihime Remake, which would be involve a lot of waiting seeing Nasu probably still thinking on how he resolve the character that he add in the first part while also adding more new characters. For the reminder, second part has the remaining three routes along with the new route for Satsuki, so it's very easy to say Nasu will spent very long time writing it if the first part is any indication. Cherry Kiss was just released Sexcalibur nukige, and well feel free to get it if you want to see on how the MC do his revenge quest to the leader of the female knights who destroyed his hometown by raping her. For Hookah Haze, once again the premise is quite similar to Coffee Talk with the MC as the manager of hookah lounge listened to the problem that his customer tell with him provided the fitting hookah, which in turn it's also similar with Valhalla with pixel arts and all. For the premise, once again it's about the MC Toru (By the way he looks like the female and good looking at that) who is sick and about to die was asked to manage hookah lounge by his doctor in order to make the most of his remaining time. In the lounge, Toru got three unusual girls as his customers with he soon find out the three girls have bottled up problem, and it's upt to Toru on how he'll help the girl. Go get Hookah Haze if you're into the VN that has pixel arts like Valhalla, and have fun. Sekai did reveal the progress for their projects that they've been planned to be released on this year, Amairo Chocolata 3 and Akaneiro, and surprisingly they have good number of progress. For Akaneiro currently it's been in programming with they already completed both of the translation and editing work, while for Amairo Chocolata 3 currently it's been at three quarter translated. Lastly for fan translation updates, we have Akagoei 3 is at 82.96% edited, Shinzou Translation's secret project is at three quarter edited, and Karenai Sekai was already fully translated. That's all for what I can write in regard of this week, and see you next week.

Timed Choices – An Anatomy of Visual Novels
littleshogun commented on Pallas_Raven's blog entry in Towards The End Sky
Well like mod Clephas said this feature seems like to be quite annoying, especially if one need time to either thinking or open the walkthrough so that they can answer the choice right in case the timed choice really affected the story. Thankfully though there's no much VNs that apply this feature, which is for good reasons with the few VNs that apply it are usually mystery or thriller like you mentioned above. Oh yes, other than the VNs that you mentioned, according to VNDB Danganronpa and Schoold Days (Also IxShe Tell) also applied this feature, although I don't recall if it's true or not. That's all for what I can comment in regard of this topic. -
Welcome to this week VNTS Review and sorry for be very late here. As for the title, I'll tell it at PS below. Anyway, as we know we have AX several days ago, and as for the announcements let's just say that it's still quite lukewarm even though I knew I shouldn't expect much more of it anyway. That said, there are some interesting highlight when it come to this year AX, so at least it's still quite noteworthy to a degree. Overall, this week is an almost interesting one thanks to AX, and let's see what I can write in regard of it. Before going to AX announcements, let me write the updates for this week. First of all, we have the company plan to release Knight Case File sometimes in this year, so feel free to note the release time in case you want to play it. For fan translation updates, we have Akagoei 3 is at 81.48% edited along with 15.96% in QA and Karenai Saku is at 81% translated. Last but not the least, we have Floral Flowlove is fully edited, although it should be noted that said update is not outright confirmed by the staffs themselves with it only appear in the progress bar of their site, so we may need to wait until Nekonyan fully confirmed about it, probably at Otakon in which they're planned to attend it and possibly announce their secret projects. For AX announcements, first of all we have both Aksys and Idea Factory announced four Switch only otome VNs. From Aksys, we have Mistonia and Uchronia. For the former, it's about a girl who lost everything decided to take the revenge to everyone who had been wronged her, while for Uchronia it's about the sheltered girl who live in the floating city encounter the amnesiac handsome man who involve in the incident related to the hidden truth behind the floating city. Aksys also already have the release estimation for both, with they will release both sometimes in the next year. From Idea Factory, we have Senjou no Waltz and Teminara with both coincidentally have the female MC cursed in different way (Senjou no Waltz MC is wielding the cursed sword, while Teminara MC was said to be cursed). For the release plan, like Aksys they'll also release both of their otome VNs sometimes in the next year, so yeah four Swith only otome VNs to look forward to in 2025. Mangagamer announced two title, with the first one is related to the princess knight nukige that Shiravune released, and said title is The Alchemist & His Battle-Scarred Homunculus. For the premise, it's about the alchemist who has been betrayed by his kingdom because he didn't like to using homunculus as tool of war. One day, he find discarded female homunculus with her use for war is already over, so the alchemist decided to take care of her even with he know the age span of the homunculi are quite short. The second announcement is Rose Guns Days, in which as we know it's been available in English ever since 2015. That said, it came with the updates, although said update is unfortunately not adding the voice (So no Yukari Tamura as Stella or Daisuke Ono as Philip), but instead it's just graphic update into HD which may be necessary for high spec PC. Anyway, RGD is obviously redundant to me, but at least it should stop people spam Mangagamer survey with it. Speaking of HD update, we have Sekai decided to re-release Nekopara series into HD, which sounds like desperate milking because the series itself is already have good production value. Then again, maybe some fans still want to play Nekopara in higher definition for some reasons, so if you really want to play (Or maybe replay) Nekopara Volume 1 in HD then you can wait for it. For more important news about Nekopara, we have Nekopara After (Or as I call it Nekopara 5) was currently in production and set to be released in next year. We also have them announced the last part of Amairo Chocolata trilogy with they tried to have it released in at the latest December 31st, and let's see if the release is also has available English text or just has Chinese only translation. Lastly, they have plan to release Akaneiro sometimes on this year with it somehow already in programming despite the last update of it is still at halfway translated, so let's see if they can fulfill it (Also hopefully they meant English translation and not Chinese only translation when they bring that announcement at AX). Lastly we have JAST bring the most announcements at five, although three of those (Seira, Hanamaru 2, Cornelica) are just nukige so only two are noteworthy. The first announcement is Dead End Aegis fandisc which is the fandisc for dark magical girl VN Dead End Aegis. This should be good fandisc for the fans seeing that it mean they'll going to see more Metawo's good arts with he also drew new suffering magical girl. The last announcement is Daiteikoku, which as we know is Alicesoft VN who mainly work with Mangagamer in regard of Rance series. For the premise, it's about a man who is a playboy tasked to rebuild a ruined army with the man do it very successfully so much he attempt to take over the world. From what I hear, it didn't have good reception in regard of the story and gameplay compared to the other Alicesoft VNs, so maybe I need to temper my expectation. JAST also mention that it's still at the early stage of work so it may take years for the release, and good for them for being honest. That's all for what I can write in regard of this week, and see you next week. PS - For the title, because we have Sekai give us update in regard of their desperate attempt of milking Nekopara along with JAST announced Daiteikoku, I decided to combined both so we have 'Neko Para Vol. 5 Innocent Sin'. For elaboration, 'Nekopara Vol. 5' is obviously points toward Nekopara After, while for Innocent Sin it's from Persona 2 first half that featured Hitler as the antagonist with Daiteikoku also feature Hitler as the cute girl (Her name in Daiteikoku is Retia Adolf though).

Alice Soft — Translated Titles
littleshogun replied to Kosakyun's topic in Fan Translation Discussion
May as well revive the thread a bit by mention JAST recently manage to get Daiteikoku license (Yes it really happen), and apparently it'll took some years before it'll be released (At least good for them being honest on this). -
Well, June 2024 is pretty bad so much I consider BL VN as VN of the Month lol. Anyway, out of four listed releases, only Trap Yuri Garden that has clear story so it's quite fitting to consider it as VN of the Month despite it's being BL VN. I'll try to comment on the releases below. Hanagane Kanade Gram - Actually this could be fitting for VN of the Month, although it's already too late seeing it's serial VN focusing on one heroine in each chapter with it already in Episode 3. I don't really know if the story is continuous or not like Nine series even though VNDB listed each part as sequels, although from what I see apparently the story is more leaning toward pure slice of life despite the premise offer some mystery with the heroines have superpower based on Minor Arcana (Wand, cup, pentacle, and sword). Iwakura Aria - The VN from Mages with currently is released in Switch only, although looking on how they operate we may have it on PC later. The graphic is as unique as Fata Morgana, and looks like it's GL story with some tragedy and dark element. There's also plan to release this in English later, and for now there's no release estimation for English version announced yet. Yuri Trap Garden - Once again I call this as VN of the Month even though it's BL VN, and the reason is simply because it has clear story. The premise is about Iori who enter all boy school with the rule all students must crossdress, and Iori is obviously vehemently against this by dressing as boy. Seeing one student rebel against the rule, the student council president Mikage decided to expel Iori while insulting him, leaving Iori with no choice besides took a lady lesson in order to be fit in the school. After one week lesson, Iori show some good result so much Mikage become awestruck and thus become the main heroine, errr... hero. Looking from the companies past pattern by releasing more than one VNs with the same setting, I expect they'll release more VNs to be focused on the other characters beside Mikage. That's all for what I can comment on June 2024 releases.

Anime of the Year 2020-I Winter - Infinite Dendrogram
littleshogun commented on kivandopulus's blog entry in Anime of the Season
22/7 - Usual idol anime with Aniplex backing it so at least it has some fame, with the idol group for this anime will provide the ending song for ATRI anime. As for the anime itself, it's the gathering for the eight members with each members will get focus episode with the lingering focus is the group will receive the task from mysterious talking wall who even the writer don't really know. Speaking of the writer, one of the writer is Rental Girlfriend writer where he still has some restrain. As for the costume, while it's not as flashy as usual idol costumes (Or AKB48), ironically it make the costumes looks nice for being simple looking one. HealGPC - It's about the MC Nodoka who is quite weak thanks to her just recovered from her illness at her childhood, and she was chosen as Precure thanks to her resolve to not let the illness on the princess of the Healing Garden, Latte, getting worse. Obviously at first Toei didn't make HealGPC with Corona in mind, although soon enough HealGPC becoming too close to reality so much Toei stopped its airing for seven weeks, and starting the trend where Precure airing time will be out of schedule until HSPC (2023 Precure). It also should be noted that Nodoka situation is basically cause people to be related with her, especially when Corona is spreading at that time. Bofuri - It's about a cute girl, Kaede, who is invited to play VR MMORPG, and since she didn't like to get hurt she pumped her whole status points into defense with her become Stone Wall. Obviously the developer didn't really expect Kaede to beat any bosses with imbalance status (She never pump strength or agility status), so they made her received the equipment with broken skill had Maple won the battle. Unfortunately for the developers, Kaede find a way to beat the boss and thus earn her the broken skill, so the developers tried their best to nerf her only to keep failing and failing. This series is more or less about on how Kaede keep breaking the game and circumvent the nerf to keep being feared by the other players despite Kaede herself is mostly clueless about it. Runway de Waratte - At the first chapter we have the story on how a former child model is looking forward to the promodelling in French only to be failing because of her height which don't increase much since her childhood, so obviously there's a lot of story potential to explore on how the child model overcame the situation. That said, the author was prefer to have male MC in his work, so we have the male designer as the MC starting from the second chapter. While the former child model is still important, it definitely soured my mood when I know the Bait and Switch of the MC. My annoyance on the switch aside, actually it's quite interesting series on which touch on the modelling series, doubly so when the usual shonen series is like to have battle. Koisuru Asteroid - It's the story about the girl, Mira, who meet up with the boy at her childhood, Ao, with Mira make a promise that she'll find a nameless star and then name it Ao. Several years later, Mira find herself reunited with her childhood friend, only for her to face the harsh reality with Ao is turned out to be the girl. I admit that it's like Runway de Waratte when it come to Bait and Switch, although at least knowing the manga was published in Kirara it lessen the chance for the bait to become annoying. Other than the beginning, there's no much talk on it besides that it's another CGDCT and the main writer, Yuka Yamada, was one of STPC (Astronomy theme Precure) writer back in 2019. That's all for what I can comment in regard of Winter 2020 anime. -
Welcome to Fuwanovel, and no much to say other than I hope you'll have fun in here. Also feel free to ask for VN recommendations if you're need it.

April Fools – Genre Deep Dive
littleshogun commented on Pallas_Raven's blog entry in Towards The End Sky
Well honestly in the recent time I've seen more of April Fools events in the manga and anime scenes, although turned out there are surprising amount of April Fools VNs. Other than those three, there are the other two that are particularly stick out to me, Shakadou-san no Jun'ai Road and Seventh Coat. For more elaboration, Seventh Coat is the April Fool VN for Fata Morgana with the developer change the genre from fantasy to science fiction, while for Shakadou VN it's the parody of Tsujidou with Shakadou (One of the antagonist in Majikoi) as the MC. Note that the developers for both put some efforts into those VNs, with Fata Morgana writer tried to make Seventh Coat writing as good as possible while Minato-soft hired Hanakana of all VA to voiced the main heroine of Shakadou (Kugenuma Sakura). I think that's all for what I can comment in regard of April Fools VNs. -
The Twilight Saga: Restless Dawn Review
littleshogun posted a blog entry in Pretty Cure on Fuwanovel
Visual Novel Translation Status (30/06/2024) Welcome to this week VNTS Review, and because we have Tsukihime Remake release with it has vampire I may as well made another parody of the famous franchise with the vampire, The Twilight Saga. As for the 'Restless Dawn', it's because we have Shiravune announced Clock Up VN with the English title 'The Restless Sleep and the Lone Wolf', so I made the parody of Twilight's last part, Breaking Dawn, by changing 'Breaking' into 'Restless', so we have 'The Twilight Saga: Restless Dawn' as the title. As for this week, there's a bunch of releases with the most awaited Tsukihime Remake release, so in theory this should be the exciting week, although to me there's no particular interesting releases. Other than Tsukihime Remake release, we also have Shiravune being active after almost a month didn't show much activities. Overall, this week ended up being an average one to me, and let's see what I can write in regard of it. Visual Arts released Switch only Planetarian Snow Globe, and I can only say it's redundant release since we already have PC version of it available in English. Speaking of redundant, Aniplex released Tsukihime Remake, which admittedly it's the biggest release for this week seeing it's the remake of Type-Moon very first VN with Nasu wrote many new stories into the remake, and the graphic along with the good animation of the opening video courtesy of ufotable certainly didn't hut. That said, the reason on why it's redundant is not only we already have it in English for a year, but also it's because Aniplex just release it for Switch (And PS4) while the fan patch is only available for Switch version. I know Valve would like to take their time to reviewing Tsukihime Remake before finally approving it, but it's still too bad there's no more info in regard of PC version from Aniplex yet. In the end, I can only say that good for anyone who only has PS4 and been waiting for the release. Aksys released Radiant Tale fandisc, and as expected they release it only for Switch users. Speaking of otome VN, PQube revealed they about to localized Bustafellows 2 which if I remember it'll be continuing from the prequel true route or something like that. It's also worth to mention that unlike Aksys PQube plan to have the Steam version of it as well, so good for otome fans who only have PC. Oh yes, they also mention it'll be released sometimes in 2025. Speaking of upcoming release, Sekai planned to release Nekonin exHeart Spin on 15th later, so feel free to note the date if you've been waiting for it. Nekonyan just released Aoi Tori Steam version two days earlier than the planned date, on the last June 26th, so you can now get Aoi Tori on Steam which is good for Nekonyan after their initial build of it was rejected while Purple Software did put some pressure Nekonyan to release it in last April. For this week fan translation, we have Chusingura is at 47.86% translated with Chapter 2 is now fully translated with the remaining work (Editing, TLC, QA) being worked on, Taima Seiko Alice is at 70% translated, Karenai Saku is at halfway translated, Majikoi A Plus Disk is at 9.68% translated, Akagoei 3 is at 15.79% edited along with 15.96% in QA, and Ushieta is at 82.5% translated with Yui 1 route is at 70.1% translated. We also have a fan released Tenshi no Oshigoto translation patch, with the VN is basically the fan fiction from the fan group who like to write their version of Shiri's route ending from Kanon. While the release should be good for Shiori's fans, I'm more interested with the fan group who turned out to be Alcot's predecessor before they're established the company in 2004, so in a way it's one of Alcot's very first VN before they develop several more VNs for across 20 years with their last VN is recently crowdfunded (And upcoming) Clover Memory's. This week we have Shiravune being active again after seemingly calmed down for almost a month. First of all they decided to delay Shukusei no Girlfriend 2 release date to at the latest September 30th, although in exchange they also announced the last game of the trilogy so we may have simultaneous release at the same date later. They also released two nukige at the same date, Nyonin Island and Real Eroge Situation 2. The former is about the former black company employee who somehow tasked to manage an island where there are no other male alive so the MC has the bad luck living with the family of the three female who has very big breast, while the latter has the MC live in the very realistic depiction of living in eroge with one particular realistic situation is the MC popular classmate (Female) turned out like to masturbate to the MC's fetish diary (Another thing to note it has nice graphic). Go get either nukige (Or maybe both) if you've been waiting for it, and have fun. Last but not the least, we have Shiravune announced the aforementioned The Restless Sheep and the Lone Wolf (Or if we prefer Japanese title it's Nemurenu Hitsuji to Kodoku Ookami), which as we know is another VN by Clock Up so obviously expecting some disturbing sex scenes is a must. That said, from what I hear apparently the sex scenes are not as disturbing as Maggot Bait or euphoria, although those may still be quite disturbing. For the premise, we have an insomniac assassin who must kill in order to have good sleep meeting a particular woman in one of his mission. Said woman turned out held many secrets, and she managed to bring the good sleep to the assassin. By the way, it somehow slipped into Steam, which make this VN become historical for being the Clock Up VN available on Steam even with Shiravune understandably removed most of the contents. Oh yes, Shiravune also announce the fandisc as well, although I chose to just talked about the main game. That's all for what I can write in regard of this week, and for the next week I'll also comment on the possible AX announcements. See you next week. -
Amazing Grace or Mashiroiro Symphony HD?
littleshogun replied to Novel21's topic in Visual Novel Talk
Late to answer here. Anyway, both are technically good VNs and I'm sure you already tried both. That said, in case another person somehow got stuck in choosing between two VNs, then Amazing Grace should be better choice when it come to saving the money (And HDD), and it has mystery as the bonus. Technically Mashiro Iro is not bad VN by any mean (Especially if you like charage), although it's a bit more expensive compared to Amazing Grace, and not to mention you need to technically buy Sana Edition to call it as complete. -
Miazora / A Sky Full of Stars Interstellar Focus fan translation
littleshogun replied to NowItsAngeTime's topic in Released
Late to say this, but better late than never. Congratulation on the release which is very nice to have it earlier instead on the planned July 7th, and it's nice to see now we have two Miagete side stories available in English with the sex scenes remain intact which would never happen had we trust Pulltop to do the translation job. Now if only we have some dedicated people working on the original Miagete censoring work, because the current team is kind of wishy washy on their commitment to doing it (Then again they may have some business besides translating VNs). PS - By the way, this VN is pretty clearly showing on which fetish that Pulltop have (Threesome), which to say I didn't dislike it at all, although obviously it's not something that should be showed to their good 12 years old French girl customer base. -
Aikatsu On Parade - I did mention that Aikatsu Friends is the last animated Aikatsu before they went with half live action, and turned out On Parade is the last animated Aikatsu. Technically speaking it's the continuation of Friends, although the staffs decided to mixed the formula up to attract new viewers by making it as the crossover from the previous series. While old fans may like this kind of fanservice, considering on my reaction of that infamous HugPC crossover episodes (Which admittedly have good animation) easy to say it's not for me. Also looking from how nowadays there's no Aikatsu anime, it's also easy to say that it's not attract enough new viewers. Seven Deadly Sins Season 3 - I did remember it's one of most well known recent anime, although it's not because it's like Demon Slayer but instead it's widely known to have bad animation, which admittedly it's because it has behind the scene problem (Namely it changed the studio). For the series itself, well it's about the criminals who are branded with Seven Deadly Sins fighting against Holy Knight, and considering this is shonen anime obviously the bad group is the Holy Knight. Kandagawa Jet Girls - A sport anime focusing on some variant of jetski with two people formed a group with one person drive while another shoot the competitor. The anime itself is more of promotion for the game, and people obviously know this not for the sport after knowing the developer behind Senran Kagura worked on this. Specifically, people know this for the fanservice with one of those is the outfit will automatically destroyed each time if it was shot, and of course all of the athletes are female in order to make full use of the fanservice. High School Prodigies Have It Easy in Another World - This is what happen when Chivalry of a Failed Knight writer was asked to put a new work immediately while he playing Danganronpa and read a bunch of newspapers (Based on politic and economy topics happening in the work). Admittedly it ended up not too bad, although the premise is certainly bring Danganronpa into mind (Just need eight more Ultimates Prodigies and Monokuma to start new killing game in another world), especially with the MC being the prime minister of Japan (Well it's the ultimate political position in Japan after all). Granted the author at least tried to explore the circumstances of the prodigies, but in the end it's still easy to dismiss it as another Danganronpa fanfiction derivative work. Iruma - Speaking of derivative work, technically speaking Iruma is a derivative work of Hayate with the parents are literally sold their son to the devil, which thankfully the devil itself turned out to have far better moral compass compared to the humans so the devil arrange Iruma to attend his school with he must hide his nature as human. Soon Iruma will find himself become very popular at his new school with several devil find themselves befriended him, one of which is the student council president Ameri who expressed her crush for Iruma in secret. Beastar - CGI anime which apparently has same premise as Zootopia only more dark, although I comment on this not because it has good animation for CGI nor because it has not too bad score on MAL. but instead I comment on this because Toei decided to try their luck on CGI anime series with Girls Band Cry which just ended yesterday and it bring people of Beastar in regard on the good animation in Girls Band Cry (Some distortion in drawing aside). Average Ability - It's another isekai work with the overpowered MC who is reincarnated in another world granted the power by the average strength of all creatures in the another world, although the MC was granted the average strength of all CREATURES, which obviously included dragons so the MC ended up as the strongest human. Another thing to note is while it reeks usual cliche isekai stuff, turned out the anime itself has CGDCT because the MC is actually female instead of usual male MC with Kirito-like design. The anime itself was criticized to not adapt the manga faithfully, but at least it works to anyone else who just watch the anime. Overcautious Hero - It's about the goddess who's in pickle because she can't find the strong reincarnator with adequate strength to be assigned in the world what she's in charge of, at least until he find the data about one particular male, Seiya, with his status at level 1 is above average of all reincarnators, although he came with a little quirk. Said little quirk is that he's being over prepared like the title said with he keep preparing himself for some times even after the goddess was impatient. Turned out that Seiya decision to be over prepared was very right, because the world he was assigned to turned out to be very dangerous. It's also good the author actually wrote on where Seiya's quirk is came from, so the audience will find his quirk is understandable. Oh yes, Seiya has same VA as Goblin Slayer with both characters are happen to be very prepared on doing their job. That's all for what I can comment in regard of Autumn 2019 anime.

Anime of the Year 2019-III Summer - Ling Long: Incarnation
littleshogun commented on kivandopulus's blog entry in Anime of the Season
Cheat Magician and Multi Target Mother - I just put both because both are essentially the same thing, the isekai anime who tried to have overpowered female MC only for the author to put the male self-insert main character in their works. That said, at least the male in Multi Target Mother is not as strong as his mom who is the overpowered character, unlike Cheat Magician whereas the author manage to find himself make the male MC becoming very strong despite the author already make the female MC strong enough with four element mastery. Tenki no Ko - Another work from Makoto Shinkai which depict another bittersweet romance, although people like to make the meme out of this thanks to the nature of the story which may or may not appropriate for the people who watch it. Re-Stage - Idol anime with Tsubasu in charge of the original character design, and indeed the original design is really like her usual drawing. The anime art here is not as beautiful as Mahiro Iro anime though, which obviously because Kawamura is not in the charge of the anime art. Art aside, Re-Stage is mostly Love Live like idol anime with the center of the rival group being the older sister of the main character. Symphogear XV - The fifth and the last part of Symphogear franchise, which mean the staffs do their best to clearing up the plot that have been foreshadowed in the previous four series. By the way the original creator of the series currently make the new anime with similar premise (Prinsession Orchestra), and it'll be available sometimes on the next year. Vinland Saga - I just want to comment that apparently it was hailed as big three seinen alongside Berserk and Vagabond, and what I can see is that it's quite hard to adapt the so-called big three seinen into anime compared to adapt big three shounen (Naruto, Bleach, and One Piece). Anyway, obviously this is the most successful anime adaptation of the three big seinen, although it's not like there's much competition anyway seeing Berserk 2016 had mixed reception and Vagabond didn't even have anime adaptation. Machikado Mazoku - Admittedly the premise is something like Gabriel Dropout with the good magical girl keep bullying the weak (And sickly) demon, although the author change that perception at the end of the first volume (Or 6th episode of the anime). Afterwards, it's more like on how the main demon girl (Yuuko aka Shamiko) start to find out what she can do with her power and eventually find out more about herself and the magical girl (Momo). Currently the story is take dramatic turn, although unfortunately the author has severe health issue so the update become irregular. Oh yes, obviously the anime is quite successful because we have the second season of this in 2022. That's all for what I can comment in regard of Summer 2019 anime here. -
Looking for a heroine in opposition to the MC
littleshogun replied to freshgyoza's topic in Recommendations
You can always read Carnevale in English seeing it has translation patch, although beware the translator has bad reputation so you may need to be on guard in regard of bad translation. Anyway as for the recommendation that OP asked, Airi from Mashiro Iro Symphony can fit seeing she's quite hostile in the early part of common route (Or around a quarter in the anime). There's also Ashe from Wagahigh with she's against MC joining the student council. For the VN with truly villainous heroines, then you can try Muramasa with Kagekai himself inevitably has differing opinion from the heroines (At least on the two instances). Lastly, if you want something like when the former antagonist join the protagonist sides, then Dohna Dohna has two with ALyCE and Kikuchiyo did fight the MC before they joined. Note that both Muramasa and Dohna Dohna are quite dark, so beware of it. Lastly I don't know if you already read those VNs or not, but I hope my recommendations will be helpful to you. -
Silver Colored Faraway Bonus Track - Kanon at the Faraway Future
littleshogun posted a blog entry in Pretty Cure on Fuwanovel
Visual Novel Translation Status (23/06/2024) Welcome to this week VNTS Review. For the title, since we have Kanon release I may as well make the parody of the last episode of Kanon 2006, Kanon at the End of the Dream (Also the title drop), with I decided to reuse 'Silver Colored Faraway' one more time even though Yuzuki's patch of Ginharu is already released for two months, hence the 'Bonus Track' part in the album. Anyway as for this week once again we have quite a number of new releases and announcements, although my interest on this week is toward the successful Kickstarter for Venus Blood Ragnarok. That aside, in case you're not into tentacle rape, then Kanon sudden release may be more interesting to you. Overall, this week is yet another below average one, and let's see what I can write about it. Sekai released the second Kurikuri Click VN, and this time the single heroine is the warrior who wore bikini armor. Honestly no much to say other than turned out Kurikuri Click is the nukige trilogy with all of the three heroines are voiced by a single gravure model, so go get the VN if you like very short nukige voiced by a gravure model. Speaking of nukige, Cherry Kiss just announced they have yet another nukige release in July 12th later, and said nukige is localized as Sexcalibur. The premise of the VN is the MC who has his hometown destroyed by a very strong female knights, and then he got the magic sword that transfer his desire into power with the MC make good use of his power into have sex with the female knights. Frontwing did reveal they have another license, and said license is the third Milk Factory VN Oppai Succubus with them planned the release sometimes in this year, which to say is definitely better compared to what they did with Sharin. This week we have ChuSingura is at 47.37% translated, Taima Seiko Alice is at 65% translated, Majikoi A Plus Disk is at 5.12% translated, and Akagoei 3 is at 79.19% edited along with 15.56% in QA. We also have 12Riven translation project has been ongoing for a while, and turned out it's been at halfway translated by a new group. For the info, 12Riven is the VN created by Uchikoshi as his attempt to make another Infinity trilogy which ended up failed, and then Uchikoshi decided to make 999 which became his successful franchise. Mages did plan to have their upcoming VN, Iwakura Aria, in English. From what I see, it has quite unique art like in Fata Morgana and apparently the story will depict the complex relationship between women in 1966 or something like that. Once again we have Visual Art just released Kanon very suddenly back on last Thursday. I'm sure everyone else already know the story, but I may as well tell it again. In Kanon, we have Yuuichi came back to his aunt house after seven years and somehow he has amnesia on the event from seven years ago. Kanon here is very influential VN back in 1999 as KEY very first VN, so in theory this should be very big release despite there's no graphic remake like One. That said since we already have the translation patch of it back in 2009 along with said patch translate the sex scene which most people didn't mind to have it removed, I can only say this is redundant release. Still, feel free to get Kanon from Steam if you want to play the VN thanks to its historical status, and have fun. Lastly we have Venus Blood Ragnarok Kickstarter ended as another successful Kickstarter from Ninetail, with the fund gathered is almost three times of the initial goal at almost 38.7 million yen. That's all for what I can write in regard of this week, and see you next week. PS - For more elaboration on the title, in regard of 'Faraway Future' it's the combination of Hoshiori and Ginharu with both title has the words which exactly mean that ('Future' from Hoshi Ori Yume Mirai (Mirai mean Future) and 'Faraway' is obvious enough (Haruka mean Faraway, and the full title of Ginharu is Gin'iro Haruka)), which I figure is quite fitting to combined both seeing both Hoshiori and Ginharu has same concept (Charage with the lengthy after stories). Once again Kanon is obviously the title drop from Kanon VN, but in case you need explanation in regard of musical term it's a contrapuntal (counterpoint-based) compositional technique that employs a melody with one or more imitations of the melody played after a given duration.
