VN of the Month April 2011 - Aiyoku no Eustia
littleshogun commented on kivandopulus's blog entry in Vndbreview
Quite an interesting month from two known gameplay VN along with one of most awaited VN to be translated. Mecha-con - The first VN from onomatope in which they eventually come with Libra releases in that it got quite infamous with the translation. As for their debut VN, well since the setting support it I can only say that at least I won't have the problem like back at Rakuen (ie Grisaia 3rd part) in regard of the ending (It's harem ending for the info as per setting suggest). 11eyes FD - While the main VN is quite nice, the FD here did add more setting info into 11eyes world. Some of those are including Mizusu's story as exorcist, the backstory of Black Night cadres, the continuation of Shirori's story, and last but not the least provided an alternative ending for the main villain (Although the alternative ending is obviously non-canon for obvious reason). All in all it should be nice read if one want to see more on 11eyes setting, although obviously it's still untranslated as of now so you must understand Japan if you want to understand it (Or just use the translator, which to say not the ideal way to read the VNs). Kamidori - I did remember that Taka-jun did review this and state that he did find the story is bad and he give Kamidori high score just because the gameplay, and after I read the review I decided to just forget about it since back then there's no obvious way to read Kamidori in English. Or at least that's what supposed to be happen until today if not for the fact that I idly browse a certain site in the morning back at 2012 and suddenly find Kamidori is on the list (Note that the site only list fully translated VNs), and of course I find out that it's already fully translated thanks to Aroduc. For the info I already play this several times and yet I still didn't manage to get Yuela's ending as of now, and that there's a lot of replay value in this VN. Kamidori here is the first translated Eushully VN. As for the gameplay, it adapt Himegari one with some improvement and apparently it's well received so much that they reuse the gameplay in Amayui later (I still waiting for Amayui's full translated narration patch of it by the way). Eustia - At first the translation was handled by Taka-jun group (Yandere Translation) and they already translate up to Fiona's chapter, although of course the project was already dead (Otherwise Eustia here is already become one of very well-known translated VN). After that, obviously the people said that August is cursed and thus no one attempt to translate Eustia here, at least until at April 2017 when an user here (Eplipswich) decided to translate Eustia here and until this day it's still in working with the most recent progress in that Eustia here was already at ~70% TLC-ed. As for the premise, it's setting was in a dark fantasy world in which the MC here is the former assassins who somehow come across a winged girl that about to be sold as prostitute, and the MC here was obviously save her. Other element in the story is included politic, discrimination, and war. Overall I can say that Eustia here is very well received VN, and I hope that we can see the full translation patch release at this year if possible. That's all for what I can comment in regard of April 2011 releases. -
VN of the Month February 2011 - Grisaia no Kajitsu
littleshogun commented on kivandopulus's blog entry in Vndbreview
Flyable Hearts FD - From what I read both of Yui and Suzuno routes will resolve the remaining hanging plot thread in Flayable Hearts, although of course seeing that it's FD and all naturally people will look out on the fanservice in which one of those the addition of Max and Gumi routes along with the crossover from previous Unisonshift Blossom. What I know is that it's still not available in English even with machine translated patch like the main game, so I still not play this for an obvious reason. Loverable - I still keep my eyes on the translation project of it ever since back at 2016, and it'll be five years anniversary at August later. As for Loverable, if one know Makeover and Fureraba (Both of those and Loverable here are produced by Smee) it should be obvious that expecting the comedy here is the most sensible approach along with that the MC is someone who like to find the girlfriend. In Loverable, there'll be five heroines including blood related little sister. Another thing to note is that in here you can change the appearances of the heroines, and by that I mean you can change both of hair and the outfit unlike Fureraba in which you can only change the hairstyle for three of the heroines and the outfit for only one heroine. I still waiting the day when the team finally manage to complete all of the translation progress on Loverable and released the full translation patch of it, although I can see that Nekonyan here would be interested to license this. Grisaia no Kajitsu - Frontwing did have plan to make Grisaia as trilogy, only that they need to back out because of their budget problem (The Reddit thread in regard of that). Still they give out their best and so they pour out their last remaining resources into making Kajitsu. Of course turned out that Kajitsu here is very successful, and so Frontwing decided to develop the rest of the trilogy and then continuing milk the franchise (Well they clearly still need some more money to keep the company stable for sure). As for Kajitsu here, while some may argue that it still leave some plot thread hanging, two of the heroines ending here have Yuuji married with the heroines and even one of those conclude his story very clearly so there's no real need for the sequel. That said, some (Including the writer who want to write harem ending) may thinking that it would be better if all of the heroines are helped by Yuuji, and so the VN staff decided to make a Hand Wave in that they just tell that Yuuji somehow help all of five heroines (Kajitsu here is charage) in order to make Meikyuu canon route. At least the anime did elaborate that blatantly problematic story telling, although that the plot is rushed because it only has 13 episodes in that the staffs need to do their best to adapt very long VN. For February 2011, Kajitsu here is indeed a big release. That's all for my comment in regard of February 2011 releases. -
VN of the Month March 2011 - Onigokko!
littleshogun commented on kivandopulus's blog entry in Vndbreview
Tsuyokiss 3gakki - The VN here is created by Candysoft in which it's the parent company of Minato-soft, so perhaps expecting Tsuyokiss is like Majikoi would be reasonable although Tsujidou here might be closest comparison seeing that both of Tsujidou and 3gakki here is written by same writer (Sakaki Kasa, in which he also wrote Kirikoi as well). I didn't see Takahiro name in VNDB, although since he did write original Tsuyokiss I assume that he also supervise the writing of 3gakki as well. Star Driver - Well the anime here is has robot and all, and the male MC here is oppose the organization that rule the school because the organization goal is something that may threaten the peace. Of course with that kind of premise, it's logical that you'll see the MC fight the cadres from the organization before finally going to confront the boss of the organization. As for the PSP here, apparently we'll going to have original character as the player stand in and he can romance several heroine in the game. Other than that, apparently it'll have some gameplay as well. Well it's not translated so there's no much information in regard of the staffs. Haruhi - While the premise is unique on it's own, the titular character and the infamous Endless Eight would be the thing that people did remember about it. It has new volume that was just released recently (Back at November 25th, 2020), although compared to back when Endless Eight episode is still not airing nowadays the hype for Haruhi here was more or less already waning (It didn't help as well in that the creator need some times (ie nine and half years) to think the new storyline for the novel). That aside, apparently the VN here is the sequel of the well received Disappearance movie, so at least it should be good for Haruhi fans if anything else. The art here is apparently still taken care by Noizi Ito, athough VNDB only credit her as original artist though. Onigokko - Looks like Alcot is really interested to make charage with unusual heroines, and in here we'll going to have the characters from Japanese folktale become cute girl along with the fact that obviously the MC can have the romance with the said characters. No much to say other than apparently it's a good charage, although as for the chance Nekonyan will license this or not it's still in the air. Compared to either February or April there's no well known VNs at this month (Well at least you can say that the month here is a breather), so that's all for my comment in regard of March 2011 releases. -
VN of the Month January 2011 - Bloody Rondo
littleshogun commented on kivandopulus's blog entry in Vndbreview
Smile Shooter - I can only say that the story is obviously lighter compared to Symphonic Rain, and apparently it has idol theme. Oreimo - At least the original creator did involve in the creation. The premise here is that the MC will have the romance with the other heroine, in which it might be good for Oreimo fans who didn't like canon heroine. As for Oreimo itself, well I only know that the little sister heroine there did has fragile ego and act harshly towards her brother and yet she like to play little sister eroge. You can play this in English because we have the full translation patch for this as New Year gift (The patch was released back at December 31st, 2020). Bloody Rondo - The debut VN from 3rdeye that was focused on vampire, and it's pretty apparent that they like to use high resolution graphic with the result that the HDD size for this was at 4.2 GB. Other than high resolution graphic that 3rdeye keep it until today, no much to say other than it might be possible for Mangagamer to localize this seeing that we have Sona-Nyl, although the chance of it might be small. Oh yes unlike nowadays back then 3rdeye still using single MC for their VNs. Canvas 4 - I did remember that out of four Canvas VNs only Canvas 2 was translated, and back then it's one of earlier charage that was available in English. While Canvas 2 has the MC as the teacher, in Canvas 4 here the MC is just usual high school student. No much to say here other than nowadays Canvas here is more or less just usual charage, and that Canvas 4 here is the sequel of Canvas 3 while at the same time it merely share same setting as the first two Canvas. That said, I don't really know if Canvas 4 here is really the sequel of Canvas 3 or not seeing that both VNs has different MC and different heroines (It might be like Da Capo trilogy though in that while each series has different heroines the story is still connected to a degree). Time Paladin Sakura - Da Capo spin off with Sakura become magical girl with Circus somehow decided to recast the VAs for the main characters, with the notable one Sakura here is voiced by Suzuko Mimori instead of Yukari Tamura (Sakura's VA in all age version of Da Capo). Overall no much that I can say in regard of the releases, so that's all for my comment on January 2011. -
Imagining Clannad heroines in underwear is pretty normal if a bit obsessive, although as for imagining Clannad heroines hair at certain places let's just say that you've got several issues to take care of. I'm not say that you can't keep your (Twisted) imagination, but please keep it down to yourself.

Visual Novel Translation Status (02/07/2021) Since we have JAST decided to release Eiyuu Senki GOLD on 5th (JAST are so busy preparing the release though, so much that they can finally release it at around 2 AM Californian time which mean technically they delayed one day from their exact date release estimation) suddenly and that in there we'll have 70 famous characters from across the history just like Fate franchise, I decided to parodied the (in)famous Fate/Grand Order by change 'Grand' to 'GOLD' so that we have Fate/GOLD Order as this week VNTS Review (For the info in GOLD you didn't need to spend 4,000 dollars (Real money obviously) just to get all of the characters). Other than GOLD release, we also have several other releases along with some juicy updates from fan translation so I can say that this week is more lively and interesting compared to last week. Let's see what I can write in regard of this week. Verdelish here manage to translated more than halfway (54%) Slow Damage, so no much to say other than she keep doing good job in regard of steady progress. As for GOLD, the battle system is still the same and of course the number of the heroines with the original along with the writer (Speaking of writer, I just remember that she did write Sengoku Rance and thus she can add Sengoku Rance Kenshin as one of heroine unit). The difference is that TENCO did improved some units and that they create the new storyline in which instead of Himiko this time our MC was getting closer to Masamune (Obviously Masamune here is female as well along with all of the historical characters just like in the original), and one way or another the MC will eventually conquer the world with the new villain that attempt to make the chaos in the world once again. That said, for GOLD here apparently the story is not as good as the original although in exchange TENCO did add more events with the heroines, so you may consider which is the best to play whether if you favor story or gameplay. Go get GOLD from JAST if you interested, and have fun. Other Turned out Nekonyan did prepare for the Kickstarter, and this time they prepared to held KS for Kirikoi at the middle of the month later (Possibly at Valentine or if they want to be earlier at Chinese New Year later). What I can say is that since they already have the plan to release Kirikoi even if the KS is fail and that there's no plan to merge the FD contents into it (Because the engine for main game and FD are different), I'll just say that I'm more interested to see Nekonyan's delayed monthly updates along with their revelation of their secret projects or if I may be blunt I'm not interested with the KS later. Still good luck with the KS, although looking from Aokana KS I think it'll be successful as long as Nekonyan didn't ask something like 85,000 and yet didn't put much effort on promote it like back at Irotoridori KS that Sol Press did. Speaking about Sol Press, recently they post their update with only one notable update in which they currently manage to get Nukitashi was at 80% edited. Cherry Kiss released yet another of their nukige, and this time the title is quite unique in which it has the word pussy. To be fair though other the slang for (Sorry) vagina in which some green minded people use to refer it as such pussy here can actually mean kitty, and thus the nukige in there has catgirl heroine. Feel free to get the nukige if you interested with it, and have fun. Fruibat did release the trial for MAMIYA in which it's one of the work that the late Conjueror translated, and apparently they still on track to release it at Spring later. We also have age finally released Muv Luv Unlimited The Day After, in which it's one package for four episodes of Alternative Chronicle. I only know age did milk expand the setting of Alternative through Chronicle, so if you're Muv Luv fans and want to get more of Muv Luv then go get it and have fun (By the way the first two episodes are redundant because we already have those two being translated for a while). Fan Translation We have quite a number of updates from fan translation along with two releases of new VNs, and as for the first release it's lesser known VN with the length at half hour along with featuring the simple story in which boy met girl and fall in love at spring (Feel free to get the VN if you interested with it and have fun). For the updates, we have Tae's route of Akagoei was at halfway translated, the original lines of Summer Pockets was at 61.7% reworked, Yuuna's route of Harugi was fully translated with the overall was at 77% translated, Chaos Head Noah was at 63.98% translated (Common route was past halfway (50.27%) translated, Nanami's route was fully translated, True end was past halfway (54.95%) translated, and TIPs was at halfway translated), and Eustia did show some significant TLC progress with the current progress was at 69.08% TLC-ed (Side routes was at 10.63% TLC-ed, Licia's chapter was at 41.89% TLC-ed, and Eustia's chapter was past halfway (54.95%) TLC-ed). Almost forget to note that we have Committee of Zero did release the patch for DaSH, in which it retranslated some lines and more importantly add mouse support for DaSH. I would say that even if you didn't mind much in regard of the old translation, the mouse support here is still very useful to have seeing that Spike Chunsoft didn't do enough effort to add it to the initial version of Robotic Notes. As for DaSH itself, okay I admit some contents can be entertaining and interesting if you like Robotic Notes casts, although I still can't agree with MAGES decision to shoehorn Daru as second MC though. Lastly we have Wizard's Climber sudden release in which it's the VN from now defunct Softhouse Chara (Same company as Bunny Black) with the gameplay did resemble Princess Maker in that you must raise a female mage within three years with one turn represent one week (So we have 156 weeks just like back at Romanesque), and that the female mage in question was a victim of family betrayal and she want to avenge her family. Go get Wizard's Climber if you interested with it, and have fun. That's all for this week VNTS Review, and sorry for being late here. See you next week.

Welcome to Fuwanovel and sorry for the belated greeting. Now that you've been the member of this forum feel free to give some VN recommendations to anyone else who ask for it, although of course you can ask for the recommendations if you need it. I hope that you'll enjoy yourself here.

Happy 29th birthday to @Novel21, and I hope you'll have a good birthday.
-
In case you still didn't play it, then I'll recommend you Senren Banka for Murasame's route. Other than that, you may try Nanairo Reincarnation (There's a reason why I recommend this), Moshiraba (It's still untranslated though), and Sakuramori (Also feel free to try the sequel as well). I hope that my recommendations here will be helpful to you.

Translated VNs with protagonist like Rance
littleshogun replied to nosiro's topic in Recommendations
I see that you're looking for anti-hero here. As for Ryuusei my advice here is just enjoy the comedy and the setting, and that's all for what I can say without spoiling much (Or rather let's just say that there's a reason on why people wishing for Ryuusei's sequel). For both of Kikokugai and Hanachirasu, both VNs are pretty much just a short kinetic VNs. Also if you didn't like the art in Kikokugai's old version and prefer to have voices, you can play 2011 version in which it's also have translation patch with the traslation was ported from the old version (The texts are quite small though). -
Translated VNs with protagonist like Rance
littleshogun replied to nosiro's topic in Recommendations
If you meant Rance as anti-hero, perhaps you can try something like Kikokugai, Ryuusei, or Hanachirasu. If you want something that closely similar to Rance in regard of gameplay, then you can play Venus Blood Frontier. I don't know if my recommendations can fulfill what you want, but I hope that it can be helpful to you. -
Welcome to Fuwanovel and no much to say other than good luck on your VN project later. Also I hope that you'll have fun here.

Visual Novel Translation Status (01/31/2021) Since we have ReZero VN release and that the MC (Subaru) VA did have a role as Trails of Cold Steel MC (Rean) as well, I decided to parodied it by changing 'Steel' into 'Body' because Subaru here is keep dying (Poor him) and surely we know that one of the sign that the people is dead is that the body of the people is cold. By the way this time I didn't mean that both of Subaru and Rean did share same Japanese VA, but instead both characters are voiced by same English VA (Sean Chiplock). As for this week, while release wise is not that interesting to me (I understand though if ReZero fans like the VN of it was released) at least the updates here are more than make up for it. One particular example here is Rance Quest release date announcement, and other than that we also have Sekai finally prepare Nine Episode 4 release. Overall what I can say is that this week is less lively but still interesting as well, and let's see what I can write in regard of this week. We have Harlem Blade 2 release in which while it's the sequel of first Harlem Blade this time we'll have different MC. No much to say other than at least it's available for Windows version, and that it's not censored because GIGA won't interfere fan translation by asking the translation team to censor the sex scenes (Even if somehow GIGA care enough to ask censorship from fan project, I still won't interested for Harlem Blade 2 here). Well go get Harlem Blade 2 if you somehow interested with it because of the old school RPG gameplay, and have fun. Speaking about RPG, we also have Mangagamer announce the exact release date for Rance Quest like I say beforehand, and the release date of it will be at February 25th later so note the date if you want to purchase Rance Quest from Mangagamer's site. As for ReZero VN, the premise is that there's one extra candidate of the throne who in turn cause chaos so much that the blame is go to one of particular person (Emilia). Since Subaru here would do anything for the sake of Emilia (From what I know), naturally he'll do anything to clear the chaos and of course find the extra candidate who cause the chaos in the first place. For more elaboration, in ReZero there's an event called Royal Selection with the goal to chose the 42nd ruler of the nation in ReZero (Lugnica), and currently there's five candidate with one of those candidates are Emilia. In any case the other information that I has is that it'll be a gameplay VN with SRPG as the gameplay, although I don't exactly see on how the battle will carried on from the trailer alone. Go get ReZero VN if you've been ReZero fans and want to see more of it, and have fun. Almost forget to note that at least both of original writer and illustrator here are also participate in the VN development here unlike Saekano, so you can expect that the story will be faithful to a degree. JAST did tease an image with yellow world map in their tweet, in which it's pretty much obvious that they tease Eiyuu Senki GOLD. Although since they already license it, the only thing that they can tease is that it's more than possible that they almost ready to release it, so hopefully we'll be able to have GOLD released at this year. Verdelish here is also quite steady with Slow Damage translation work, with the current progress was at 46% translated. Sekai did finally released Dragon Princess, and I can only say that good for them to have their backlog reduced by one VN. Other than that, well granted that the graphic is not too bad and that it's short enough so that you may play it if you somehow need more Nekonin/Nekopara like VN. Too bad though that Sekai chose short VNs from Whirlpool instead of trying to get more interesting VNs from them such as Suzukaze no Melt or Wataridori no Somnium, but then again the license prices for those two VNs might not come as cheap compared to their short VNs. In any case go get Dragon Princess if you interested with it and have fun. Other than Dragon Princess release, we also have some updates from them with both of ReLord 2 and Love Sweet Garnish 2 was in QA and more importantly Sekai did prepare the release of Nine Episode 4 by them preparing the Steam store page of it. No comment other than I hope the preparation for Nine Episode 4 release will going smoothly, and so that's all in regard of the update from Sekai. Other than the aforementioned of Harlem Blade 2 release, we have a number of updates from fan translation. As for the updates, we have 19,727 lines of Pure x Connect are translated, Shin Koihime Musou was at 41% edited, Gore Screaming Show was at 17.99% translated (First update in a while), Harugi Yuuna's route was at 96% translated, and the original lines of Summer Pockets was at 57.7% reworked. As for Eustia's TLC progress, we have some significant progress with the overall was at 66.38% TLC-ed with the detail Eustia's chapter was at 47.14% TLC-ed, Licia's chapter was reached 40% mark (40.10%) TLC-ed, and the TLC for side stories was already started with the current progress was at 2.29% TLC-ed. Last but not least we have White Album 2 progress from the Discord, in which they already fully translated Coda part (Except the sex scenes) with them already have some major progress on Closing Chapter routes editing (Koharu's route was fully edited, while Chiaki's route was almost finished, and Mari's route will follow shortly), and all that's left is sex scenes and digital novels translation along with lot of editing works for the remaining works (Especially Coda). That's all in regard of VNTS Review, and see you next week.

VN of the Month December 2010 - Ore no Tsure wa Hito de nashi
littleshogun commented on kivandopulus's blog entry in Vndbreview
Tantei Opera Milky Holmes - Sort of like Galaxy Angel, except instead of space wars we have cute girls with famous detective name try to fight crime use powerful toy. No much to say other than at least you can watch it for the sake of cute girls lol. HGB - The first translated Lump of Sugar VN that was localized by Nekonyan, and apparently it's quite underrated looking from the average score at VNDB because the staffs prefer to put more focus on slice of life instead of secret agent story or something like that. The score aside, I like that the heroines here got some interesting name in regard of their VA such as Ryoka Yuzuki and Akiko Yajima along with that HGB here got some nice arts. Also the late Fujiwara Keiji has a role here, although what's his role in here is spoiler. Axanael - Compared to other Shimokura VNs (Carnevale and Kimikoi), this one certainly quite underrated. It's also interesting to note that the core staffs of Axanael here would be working on Kimikoi later, which to say its quite an unique VN back when Nitroplus release it at 2013 later. Back to Axanael, the premise here is like there's Russian Roulette game in which the player need to shot a gun that can grant the shooter's wish at the cost of the other's life. The trial version of Axanael here is translated, although currently the team in need of translator to translate the whole VN so hopefully the team can get the translator if they want to deliver Axanael's translation patch. Noble Works - First translated Yuzusoft VN in which it broke the 'curse' that Yuzusoft VNs will be never fully translated, which of course didn't apply nowadays seeing that Nekonyan did localize three Yuzusoft VNs (Noble Works here is fan translated though). We also has Nabatame Hitomi voicing Hinata here, so you can enjoy 'passionate Hitomi Nabatame-voiced love-making' scenes if you play Hinata's route. Other than Nabatame, the heroines VAs here is basically quite well known so we can say that Noble Works heroines here are voiced by all-star cast (For eroge obviously, although Nabatame herself is quite well known in anime as well). Noble Works here also has side route, although in this case the reception is understandably sour because Yuzusoft somehow think that the teacher who has less interaction with the MC deserve a side route (At least nowadays they already learnt from their past mistake here when it come to side routes). That's all for my comment in regard of December 2010 releases, and even though the releases is quite a lot I can only comment on four VNs. -
VN of the Month November 2010 - Ushinawareta Mirai o Motomete
littleshogun commented on kivandopulus's blog entry in Vndbreview
Quite a number of VNs that I know in regard of November 2010 here, so let's see what I can comment on those VNs. Danganronpa - The VN itself is has same gameplay as Phoenix Wright, although instead of new casts we'll going to have 15 students who somehow being the students who have achieve the feat that was associate with the title (ie Ultimate XXX) which mean that you better expect the setting to be over the top along with the twists. Oh yes in here we'll have the killing game in which each students must kill each other in order to escape from the imprisonment, and if the culprit is found then the culprit will be executed (In over the top manner obviously). Turned out that over the top style that the staffs intend is very successful so much that it spawn some more sequel and spin off before the writer was apparently tired and decided to close the franchise in V3. Initially it only available for console, but now we can play this on PC as well without using emulator thanks to Spike Chunsoft. Ushinawareta Mirai o Motomete - I shortened it as Ushieta, and I did remember it has translation project before the team decided to quit it. The art is quite good in that it can still comparable to recent VNs (In which it remind me of Iwaihime's arts) and it also has anime adaptation, although as far as anime adaptation it's lesser known. Well at least the anime has fans if anything else so much that one of the fans keep saying something like that he won't forget a certain character, which is fine and all if he didn't spam it in Youtube comment section of unrelated anime. Sona-Nyl - I only know that it has repetition text courtesy of Sakurai Hikaru (It can be argued that she wrote the VN like poem), the setting is in alternative New York and the underground of it, it has purple sky and underground, there's two female MCs, and that so far it's quite well received. Mangagamer did license this since back at 2016, although they also did work on the contents from Refrain as well so much that the time for working on this is increased and currently they do some image editing work on this (I assume that Mangagamer want to release this at this year). Lastly I want to say that I like the opening song of this VN. Venus Blood Empire - Apparently the prototype version of the Venus Blood VN that has corrupt the heroines plot that was available in both of Frontier and Hypno. As for whether the gameplay is too easy or not, perhaps I can say it is seeing that there's still no passive skill that Ninetails did apply in their later Venus Blood VNs. I can say that I like Frontier gameplay and currently I've been waiting for Ninetails to translate Hypno along with keep my eyes on the Kickstarter page of it. Also while it's understandable you call Venus Blood as nukige because the number of the sex scenes are very numerous, I feel that it's not the case because the sex scenes here are more or less optional unless you seek a certain ending and you'll be more busy in gameplay (Note that I speak from my experience when I play Frontier). That's all for what I can comment in regard of November 2010. -
Tsurezure's New Project - Gin'iro Haruka
littleshogun replied to littleshogun's topic in Fan Translation Discussion
Late to this, but I can only say that unless I can immediately get Mizuha's patch then it's useless to spam by either saying that nobody will trust Trip for being a translator (It's his choice to continuing as the translator or not) or being sad about this. Of course I can see that it's too bad, although in the end there's no much that we can do other than move on. Oh yes Irru still willing to finish the translation and currently he still trying for find the translator, so if some of you read this perhaps you may call him. PS - Here's the tweet from Trip in regard of Ginharu, and at least he did try to do it before decided that he can't do it anyway and then quit. Ideally he would keep on translating Yuzuki's route, but reality is more cruel than ideal so let's just be thankful that he manage to translate three long charage (HatsuKoi, Tsujidou, and Hoshiori) in span of four years. -
Light needs many requests to translate Silverio Franchise
littleshogun replied to Cyrno's topic in Visual Novel Talk
I know that I probably like this at several occasions in the past, but as for this I'll say that the petition here is less on show Light that Silverio has enough demand and more on the petition maker is (Pardon my lack of better word beforehand) an entitled one for try to force Light to translate Silverio even though it's pretty clear that Light themselves refuse to translate it. Okay to be fair I also hoping several VNs would be better to be translated, although as for making petition here I would say that action was really push it too far. That said, if something can really come from the petition, and I mean IF something can really come from the petition I'll admit that the petition here is really useful although as of now I won't count on it. Lastly if you ask me on when Light will localize Silverio, then I'll just say when they ready for it and secured some resources to do that. PS - As for Change.org while several petitions here are quite successful, there's also much more failed petitions in which the number of the signatures at those failed petitions might be higher than the number of signatures at the successful petitions. -
Welcome to Fuwanovel, and no much to say that good luck on the release of the second part of your VN at Steam there. I hope that you'll enjoy yourself here.

VN of the Month October 2010 - Ouka Sengoku ~Nobunaga-chan no Koishite Yabou!?~
littleshogun commented on kivandopulus's blog entry in Vndbreview
Quite a number of well known releases here. Hoshizora Kakaru Hashi - It did get anime adaptation, and that people did think that Sekai better pick this instead of Seiiki trilogy (In which they still didn't work on that as of now) when it come to feng VN. My condolence in regard of feng company in which the company was declared bankruptcy back at 2019. Seinarukana Gaiden - The second part of the gaiden game that feature the live of the crystal before their fate in Seinarukana. Speaking about crystal, while their power is obviously weaker compared to human party member at least they should be quite useful if you want to get SS Rank at the mission on the earlier part in original part. Lovekami - While the original version of it is admittedly good in it's own way, the sequels here are more or less Pulltop's answer to Sakura series by Winged Cloud (And yes I refer MoeNovel as Pulltop). Granted that while Pulltop did re-release all of their Lovekami short VNs series with sex scenes in Japan with them obviously didn't translate the sex scenes, in the end the sequels are just like I said earlier so nothing lose with them censoring it. Too bad though that Miagete was censored along with Konosora FD, but at least Pulltop start to develop their own all age VN so good for them even though they're a bit late for that. Also I won't expect Pulltop to localize original Lovekami here without some controversial censorship, although then again I won't expect them to localize 10 years old VN anyway even with censorship. Kisaragi Gold Star - This is the autumn representation of Saga Planet Season series, and as for how the title represent the autumn representation one must see the kanji of 'kisaragi' in which it did contain the kanji of moon (Not quite obvious in the title because it was written in katakana). And looks like Niijima Yuu did a research for the title alone, although admittedly it's hard to see the connection so he decided to add moon viewing CG in which it's one of Japanese tradition in autumn (For more info moon viewing tradition in Japanese is originated from Chinese mid-autumn festival). As for Kisaragi itself it's more or less quite underrated compared to both of Natsunagi or Hatsuyuki, although of course it's still quite good on it's own. By the way I remember that my roommate was set his laptop wallpaper with one of the heroine from this VN. Koichoco - One of the people did talk about this is Chisato in which it's sort of divisive in the VN, either it's because her fragile ego, her route is the most bland compared to the rest of four routes, her roles in the other routes are quite controversial, the staffs force the player to play her route first (In which it make me think that the staffs may not like her and afraid that the player won't play her route if they didn't force the player to play Chisato's route first), or the combination of each factors. That said, looks like sprite staffs know Chisato's bad reputation and decided to fix the problems in Aokana, although it's more or less my conjecture and thus I can't say if it's right or not. As for the VN itself, it has some school politic in which it's more or less reflect the real life politics if exaggerated a bit. We also already have this translated from back at 2015 thanks to Basic Translation who've been working on this for around three years since 2012. That's all for my comment in regard of October 2010 releases. -
VN of the Month September 2010 - Fortissimo//Akkord:Bsusvier

Haruko Maniax - Apparently we already have fan translated patch was already released, and obviously it's one of Muv Luv fandisc. Well good for Muv Luv fans I guess, although as of now apparently there's no plan to officially localize this though so no Steam version for now. Baldr Sky FD - You can finally control other mecha besides the MC mecha (Yay), and also you can see the threesome in here as well (Yay again). Other than that, it's just the FD and obviously it mean it'll be more light compared to the main game. While it would be interesting to have it localize, I think Sekai won't try this to be licensed seeing that there's GIGA who prefer to censor the sexual contents for overseas release just like Pulltop. Granted that GIGA here is basically 'just' ask Sekai to not translate the sex scenes in Baldr Sky, but the effect is still the same. Fortissimo - This version is more or less like Dies Irae first version which to say not the most polished version, so naturally Lacryma here did polish the VN and release it at 2014 later. The polished version of it also has been translated, although seeing that Lacryma is quite desperate they decided to ask SakuraGame in which it's quite infamous when it come to translation so much that the people said it's bad. Even though you may argue that the translation is still okay to read, there's still the censorship in that Lacryma decided to follow Pulltop and GIGA ways. It's also too bad that Lacryma didn't try to ask Mangagamer to localize this seeing that both Lacryma and Mangagamer here have connection with Circus, so for now I can only say that hopefully we can have proper localization of Fortissimo even though I know that the chance for it is quite miniscule. Compared to October later, no much to say in regard of this month so that's all for my comment in regard of September 2010 releases. -
VN of the Month August 2010 - Indigo
littleshogun commented on kivandopulus's blog entry in Vndbreview
My GF is the President FD - No much to say that at least you can finally have sex with Qu in which she didn't have the sex scene in the original, although in the scene she'll have threesome with El though. Also the MC (Junichiro) can enjoy the experience of being loved by two leader of big countries (USA and Russia) with both of them compete for his love, although I doubt that Junichiro would enjoy it if Biden (Not a young female version of him obviously) and real Putin trying what the heroines did in the VN. For the additional info, the FD here was also localized with JAST released it back at 2014. Suzukaze no Melt - One of the four VN that I wished to see the localization of it (Courtesy of Joyjason's top 10 VNs list that add this). Too bad though that Sekai is more interested to localize Nekonin instead of this when it come to Whirlpool VN, although it's not like I can understand why though because after all Nekonin license is cheaper compared to this. Anyway even with some flaws and that some people obviously won't agree with Joyjason, I agree with mod Clephas in that it's one of interesting Whirlpool VNs. Seeing that Sekai prefer to focusing on Whirlpool short VNs (ie Nekonin and Dragon Princess), I wonder if Nekonyan somehow will manage to get Suzukaze license here. It's not like I expect much anyway seeing that the VN itself is quite old. No much to say for this month releases other than those two above, so that's all for August 2010. -
VN of the Month July 2010 - Second Novel ~ Kanojo no Natsu, 15fun no Kioku~
littleshogun commented on kivandopulus's blog entry in Vndbreview
Executor Script - Looks like the card battle itself is quite simple compared to what Arterial has, although I obviously didn't play it so I don't know on how complex/simple the card battle is. Fate/Extra - Earlier attempt for Type Moon in regard of milking expanding Fate franchise, before eventually manage to have success with FGO. No much to say other than at least there's no need to spend additional 4,000 dollars in order to enjoy all of the contents in the game, and also you can play it in English by using PSP emulator thanks to Aksys's effort to localize it back at 2011. Sugar Spice 2 - No much to say other than it has some dating sim gameplay, and that the sequel of it (Suki Suki) was localized by Mangagamer. Oh and the writer of this VN was also wrote Fate Hollow Ataraxia and Hapymaher, although curiously he didn't write Suki Suki as well. Sorakumo - It has English version, although the developer decided to censor the sex scenes for the sake of Steam version, which if we looking at Steam's current situation it would be the smart choice if they want the VN goes overseas. Too bad though that we can't see the sex scenes translated, and considering that it's quite underrated no one was interested to uncensor this VN. Oh yes the premise is that we'll have the MC raise the dragon girl, and it depend on the MC on how he want the dragon girl to grow up. Also it has action RPG gameplay, although instead of the MC you'll control the dragon girl. Muv Luv Chronicles Volume 1 - Fandisc for Muv Luv Alternative that was already translated, and age planned to have it officially localized in one bundle (Muv Luv Unlimited - The Day After) together with the other three volumes. No much to say that it expand the universe in Muv Luv Alternative, and that surprisingly it has some sex scenes although of course the official version of it will cut the sex scenes so that it can be accepted by Valve. Bunny Black - Quite well known with the MC (Darx) was basically very similar to Rance, although unlike Rance Darx turned out to be better than him in that several women didn't outright say that they hate Darx. Obviously this is a gameplay VN in that the first part of it can be difficult if you didn't know what you're doing, but eventually it'll get easier. In the battle here we can only control Darx, although turned out it's less troublesome than Persona 3 because most of the party member only know few moves and therefore less complicated move to chose by AI (And Softhouse Chara make that you can control the other party member in the sequel anyway). Aroduc did translate this along with the sequel, although as for Bunny Black 3 there's no word in regard of the translation plan until now. That's all for what I can comment in regard of July 2010, and what I can say is that there's quite a number of gameplay VNs releases at this month. -
Visual Novel Translation Status (01/24/2021) Welcome to this week VNTS Review, and since there's an unique VN that Alcot created with the cooperation of hololive (Sakura-iro Dreamer) has full translation patch release along with we have a progress on Sona-Nyl, I combined 'Sakura' from Sakura-iro Dreamer along with 'Memories' from Sona-Nyl's full title (Shiei no Sona-Nyl -What a Beautiful Memories-) so we have 'Sakura Memories' as this week VNTS Review. As for this week, I can say that this week is more lively thanks to a certain big release, and of course it should goes without saying that the big release in question is not Sakura-iro Dreamers. Other than the release, we finally have Mangagamer updated their projects after some time with no updates and some of those updates are quite interesting. Let's see what I can write in regard of this week VNTS Review. It's not surprising to see that Sekai delayed their Rewrite release from January to Q2 of 2021 later (ie June's end at the latest) seeing that there's no much update happen in regard of the translation progress. Sekai also stated that their difficult situation in regard to have new translator to coordinate their work in order to be consistent with the translated scripts from the older translator who naturally quit thanks to his fatal life choice, although I can only say that I didn't mind of it too much seeing that it's more or less just a redundant to me. If anything, at least it's allowed them to put more focus on Nine Episode 4 which Dovac said at the Discord that they'll release it at Q1 2021. I know that it's still unknown whether Sekai can release Nine Episode 4 at March's end or not, but let's just see it later considering that they'd quite fast when working on that. Right now we have Verdelish manage to translate 40% of Slow Damage, and as of now we also have some surprise new project. The project in question is Taisho x Alice Episode 3 in which the Steam store for that was already opened (The link to the Steam store), and the release was estimated to be at March later. As for Taisho x Alice itself, now that we have three volumes translated in English it mean that we only need one volume to be translated in order to have Taisho x Alice fully translated. By the way I did some searching about Taisho x Alice, and find out a review which did say that Oretsuba of all VN did remind the reviewer of Taisho x Alice so perhaps Taisho x Alice might be something to consider if you want to play some otome VN. As for Mangagamer updates, right now we have one more secret project in which they dubbed it as 8th secret project with the current progress fully translated along with 80% edited, and speaking about secret project we have slight updates in regard of 6th secret project with both progress are past three quarter (78% translated along with 76% edited). No comment in regard of secret projects other than I hope that the projects would be something interesting. As for the other updates, we have Funbag Fantasy 3 If was in testing, Sona-Nyl is finally have image editing process ongoing, and both of Musicus and Hentai Lifestyle are finished the testing. For a little bit trivia, Mangagamer did say that the steps in their translation progress are translating then following with editing, image editing/programming, testing, and lastly some cleanup before release the VN. So after testing both of Musicus and Hentai Lifestyle would need some time for cleanup before the release, and cleanup here is mean taking care of the bugs that may be missed in the testing or some other technical problem. That's all for Mangagamer's updates. For Sakura-iro Dreamer, the premise is about on Sakura Miko daily life or something like that. For the info Sakura Miko here is a virtual Youtuber (Her channel if you want to know more about her), and her agency is hololive. No much to say other than the VN may be interesting if you're Sakura Miko fans, so go get the VN if you want to try it and have fun. For the updates from fan translation, right now we have Shin Koihime Musou was at 40% translated, Tae's route of Akagoei was at one third translated, Yuuna's route of Harugi was at 92% translated, and Eustia shown some significant progress in TLC with the current number was at 63.94% TLC-ed with Licia's chapter was at 37.61% TLC-ed along with Eustia's chapter was past a quarter (35.47%) TLC-ed. We also have Alka did continuing their work on reworking the lines from the original Summer Pockets, and currently they managed to get more than half of the lines (54.3%) reworked. For the big release that I talk about, it's obviously Utawarerumono remake for PC which mean that you finally can enjoy the improved gameplay with the first part of Utawarerumono story. While granted that the release is arguably redundant because we already have Mirror Moon released the translation patch for the original version back at 2008 and that the's no much change in graphic, the gameplay improvement in the remake version is actually quite nice because the gameplay in original is outdated compared to the rest of Utawarerumono trilogy. Another thing to note is that it didn't have the sex scenes because Leaf did backport the console version to PC version, which mean technically the remake version was censored. Although considering several factors I can understand if Leaf decided to not add the sex scenes in the remake, and it's not like the case of Yoake, Aselia, and Baldr Force in which those three VNs didn't have the sex scenes translated. In fact if you feel that the VN is censored, at least you can play the original version. Anyway go get Utawarerumono remake if you want to play it either because you already wait for it or want to see the gameplay improvement, and have fun. That's all for this week VNTS Review, and see you next week.
