It's not okay, and that's exactly what I meant in my post. These games treat it like it's no big deal.

The fact that it doesn't matter whether you cheat on the main heroine or not renders the optionality of it pointless, doesn't it?

I learnt the main bulk of kanji in about two months using kanjidamage for the learning order, personally checking the usage in words for each one and using a spaced repetition service (Memrise, Anki is another popular one). Don't blindly rely on any kanji teaching service, be it RTK or whatever.

Combined impression post on Fureraba and Pure x Connect. I played Fureraba a good while ago. The game is essentially plotless, but it has very good comedy, relationship progression and a proper ラブラブ mood with very gentle H-scenes. It also features a conversation system through which you earn points with your chosen heroine, but honestly I used a walkthrough for half of it. Well guess what, Pure x Connect, SMEE's next title, doesn't have half of that. Relationship progression? How about we just move it from zero interest to full bloom with sex right around the corner? Gentle H-scenes? Bah who cares about that, let's just do it like every other moege where the protag has his way with the heroine without a care in the world while going on about how much he treasures her. Compared to Fureraba's protagonist, he moved a long way into the "tough guy" corner, and with all his onahole talk he might as well be tagged as a protagonist with sexual experience. Oh and don't mind that he's a university student, because there's very few scenes there and most of the game is set at his workplace. For the reference, I only played two routes in Pure x Connect as I don't have the patience to bear with it any longer. /rant over TL;DR play Fureraba.

It's a normal reaction to every thread about untranslated visual novels being turned into "I wish this got translated" "cmon guys we all know it's never gonna get translated" "life's so unfair".

If you don't spoil yourself, you don't really know what you're asking for, do you? It's not much different from betting that that "untranslated overlord" knows what you'll enjoy.

The knowledge that it's an OELVN is what alienates me the most, so unless I hear a LOT of good things about it I won't even touch it. The art style itself isn't such a big deal, plus it doesn't look bad going by the pic.

Aesthetically A and B are the best.

It's something along the lines of: "Ooh, you've got quite the sharp ears there. Sometimes you need to sense the mood and pretend you didn't hear what ladies mutter."

I kept my DMG and didn't notice any sort of reshuffling, but for some reason I end up playing with Gold Nova Masters and Master Guardian I players every game, be at the bottom of the scoreboard and never derank.

Just finished Aster recently. One of the routes really didn't sit well with me, but the main plot is pretty good and a great tearjerker. I'd rather play a nakige next time, don't like the depressing feeling utsuge leave you with. It barely had any tags before I touched it, but now the page actually looks decent. Horay. P.S. thanks for the bump. It's been a long time since I last finished a game I had a lot of good things to say about (excluding stuff that is impossible to really describe without spoilers), so usually I just complain to my friend or say a couple of words in fuwachat and then move on to the next title.
