  1. I am reading Umineko right now(at the last "extra" part of the fifth episode) and while I think the tracks do not hold up on their own very well, they really fit into the story. My favorite(provided I can choose) is probably Melody(instrumental), since it is the only one I bothered to check one by one to find in the
  2. "... .... ... .... ..." -Every VN protagonist ever
  3. ...and is making an online game out of it. Before you fly off to play it, I have to say it is in Pre-Alpha. Ambidex Game Online Well, anyone that has played Virtue's Last Reward has probably wondered at least once how they would fare in the AB Game. Well, you have a chance now it seems. There are also "skills" and a few other things added for some reason, but we'll learn when the game actually gets finished(right now the only "playable" thing is a global chat window and the skills change color of the font.) Personally, I am really pumped for this. I'd play it over and over again, but of course it needs publication. When I registered(which was a few weeks ago) I think I was the 19th person to register. Well, it would be no fun to play with the same people again and again, would it? P.S:I am not affiliated with the actual producer of the game in any way.
  4. I am at episode 5 and I honestly have no idea what I feel about this VN
  5. It seems it is decided what I'll read after finishing Umineko...
  6. Some part through Episode 5 of Umineko. I really do not know how to feel about this VN, I can't compare it to anything else.
  7. Ever17 has quite a few moving scenes in my opinion.
  8. I'll hold off judgment until I play both this and the insect VN. Well, if there are any h-scenes, they'll certainly be... original.
  9. Virtue's Last Reward is my favorite game ever.
  10. ME TOO! Probably you know Morphogenetic Sorrow, and Blue Bird Lamentation- I recommend "Chill And Rigor", that's some freakin' creepy music.
  11. What songs of Hosoe do you like?
  12. I love rock and (heavy) metal mostly. The reason is that I think their lyrics tell a story and nearly always have a very deep meaning. Especially old school rock has nearly perfect melodies. My all-time favorite song is Santa Fe by Jon Bon Jovi: The second place goes to Anthem of the Angels by Breaking Benjamin: The third place is either Nothing Else Matters: ...or Hopeless, again, by Breaking Benjamin:
  13. Oh thank god I thought I was the only one. That was mentioned before. I'll add a few that no one else has: 9 Hours 9 Persons 9 Doors: Remember11: Ever17: Virtue's Last Reward: Steins; Gate: Umineko:
  14. "Cactus-Senpai, your "spike" is pricking my petals!" exclaimed Petunia-chan, whose petals were turning a reddish purple in excitement and embarrassment. As we both started moving uncontrollably because of our instincts, I felt sticky pollens fluttering around my spike. Gradually, we started moving faster and I feared that I would dig right through her (death by snu-snu) and tried to slow down to no avail. As we both neared our climax, there were more and more pollens in the air, I hoped that my severe pollen allergy would not destroy this moment by making me sneeze. Petunia-chan reached the climax first. She suddenly jolted, and shaked her petals wildly out of pleasure. Her base was all exposed, and golden, sweet-smelling pollen was flying everywhere. She started breathing deeply, "Thank you, Cactus-Senpai." she muttered. She looked like a little daisy, unaware to the pains of this world. However, she did not stop. She moved wildly, now to help me reach the heavens. I suddenly felt myself reaching the point of no return. I shouted "Ooooooooohhhhhhhhh!!!" and let go of the cactus-water in my body, letting it wet Petunia's frail body. As she shivered because of this feeling she never felt before, she moved so fast that my spike got torn from off my body and got lodged inside her. As she muttered "Cac-Cactus senpai! Your... your delicate..." I hugged her tightly and muttered into her ear: "It's okay, I have a thousand more spikes." Petunia-chan smiled at me with a resigned expression, her flower fully exposed, her pollen everywhere and yet, it did not matter to her. That was the best moment of my dry life.
  15. For the record, I think that SFX indeed is critical for the success, though I think music is more important in that part. Opinions differ, though.
  16. I think SFX is not as important as music. For example, (9 Hours 9 Persons 9 Doors HUGE SPOILER:) However, SFX indeed can make a scene sound cheesy or goofy and break the emotion. Think of it as Skype call sound beeping in as you are playing Counter Strike, or a cellphone ringing in the movies.
  17. I just found one of my favorite BGM's ever: Virtue's Last Reward remake: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tFI9OsrjAaI
  18. That VN did it. It fucking DID IT! It's coming to the west. http://www.ign.com/articles/2014/06/06/date-a-pigeon-in-hatoful-boyfriend
  19. One might say Virtue's Last Reward, though your opinion of characters does indeed change throughout the story a lot. Luna's lovely no matter what though <3 Edit: Am I the only person here that likes Sora in Ever17? She's waaay underrated
  20. I wish those Vita VN ports came over to the West >_<
  21. Not as a company, but as a writer, Kotaro Uchikoshi's works seem to keep being put on hold/cancelled due to funding(or lack thereof). I heard 12Riven was supposed to be the first of a trilogy, which never happened, Remember11 ran out of funding midway through so it had a ending, and now I need to see that Zero Escape 3 gets released before I die, which is not greenlit by Spike Chunsoft because it is "not profitable enough"... *grits teeth*
  22. I just did my first deck with the legitimate PDF(not a chance to buy the book yet, so I'll probably pirate the fifth and use the PDF posted above :/) On the other hand, kanji are interesting and very fun to write! Finding time will be harder for this than getting myself to sit down and do it. Thank you a lot! (If I do not falter after a week, I'll start to post on a thread...)
  23. I am in the third episode right now, though I do not think it is too great a VN (nowhere near Steins; Gate, Ever17, etc.) but I still like it, I both like and hate the art style, the music is wonderful! (On the other hand.. oh my god, the ep2 tea party...) Does Fate/Stay Night take THAT long?! I am used to 20-30 hours...
