It's possible to have balanced and fairly costed cards be unplayable due to how bad the tempo is, and I think Ball of Spiders might be that. If you break it down, it's 6 mana for 3/3 in stats and it draws 3 cards that will be synergistic with your deck. But it's a 6 mana spell for Hunter, so... yeah. Even if control hunter takes off, that still seems like a stretch.

I thought Dr. Boom was OP and so did others I talked to. Trump was in the forefront of it being just kind of good and pimping Troggzor as our new OP overlord, though. There was another card reveal on some portuguese stream and lmao: how is it so bad? edit: Just went 12-2 in that arena run and got a Gazlowe in one of the packs.

None of the cards so far are mindblowing, which may be a good thing considering the standards we're used to (Dr. Boom was in the initial rush of announcements for GvG). If we don't have another Dr. Boom in this set that will probably leave many disappointed but will be a good thing overall. The Shaman cards so far seem to make the class more midrange viable and at the very least gives the class a needed boost in arena. Looks like arena players will have to spend some dosh on packs because they're changing the pack rewards to be randomly selected between the three sets instead of whatever the latest set is. As someone who has opened like 150 GvG packs from arena rewards, that's half a relief because I'll be able to fill in some holes in my Classic collection but kind of disappointing because the new quest and tavern brawl fills that role already and I'd like to build up my TGT collection as soon as possible. Better start grinding those arena wins. On a related note, I'm now 10-1 with the deck I posted above.

Propeller partnership has been rumored for a few weeks now. Really, though, it's just a joke in reference to the #albatrossskybutlers meme going around in reference to the wishful speculation on reddit, 4chan, and elsewhere (the holy trinity of speculated titles being bullet butlers, albatross, and baldr sky). It's not an actual hint.

The social media folks are being paid by Degica. Degica is running the show, and they're just using Sekai Project's convention panels to increase awareness as much as possible, probably because they're afraid they'll be noticed less because they're a newcomer to the scene, but they picked such a big title that I don't think that should be a concern. IXTL is owned by Age and is basically a brand management subsidiary, and are the ones primarily interacting with Degica for all of this. IXTL also handles adaptations, merchandising, and other such licensing deals within Japan. Sekai Project is probably just happy to get Muv Luv stuff on their panels to spice things up. They probably didn't need it in AX, but they'll need it for their Otakon panel which looks like it won't have any impressive announcements. Expect a small doujin title or two along with further news regarding their AX announcements.

Doddler said today that none of the MangaGamer titles have previously had fan projects for them, so that rules out Baldr Sky from the list of commonly speculated on titles. I never had hope for that, anyways. A lot of fans are speculating one of them might be Albatross Koukairoku which would be amazing but I'm pretty skeptical on that. They'll probably wait until Gahkthun is out before announcing more Liar-Soft titles, but personally Albatross is their most appealing non-WAB title to me, so I hope they do that some day.

Who are you to say that it's a sucky game? Don't get too influenced by the 17 ratings on VNDB, that's a really tiny sample size and most people there seemed to actually kind of like it. They are going to announce five titles, and not all are going to appeal to you, that's the way of things.

I want to suggest that you guys edit in the release announcement on your blog to include the bugfix, since that's what's linked to for the patch in VNDB. I also linked to the bugfix in the release notes just now, but better safe than sorry.
