I didn't have this problem with Kanon. I would like to suggest the possibility that Kanon is normal and that stuff like Clannad and Little Busters has gotten you used to a lethargic pace

I finished watching all of Kaitou Tenshi Twin Angel (OVA + TV) It has immediately become one of my favorite magical girls shows, and I rank it right up there with Nanoha (BTW I saw Nanoha seasons 1 and 2 and both movies multiple times. I saw part of season 3, but only once a long time ago, and have never bothered to go back to it) If Nanoha is Cute/Action/Drama, then Twin Angel is Cute/Action/Comedy, that's the main difference. And in both shows I liked the OP/ED themes immediately upon first hearing...

If you know standard Japanese then I think you can pick up Kansai from just reading, or watching stuff like Telepathy Shoujo Ran which prominently features a character from there. Off the cuff mainly I think of "ya" replacing "da" and "hen" replacing "nai"...but of course I realize there's more to it than that So, maybe take a look at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kansai_dialect if you're curious It's kind of long-winded, but the part called "Well-Known Words" is useful if you compare the columns "Kansai-ben" and "Standard Japanese"

Think you are misunderstanding "tsukiau" It basically means "to accompany, to keep company with, to go along with" It only takes on the meeting of "going out with" in the specific context of dating. I don't have access to the whole script, but it looks this way to me: You have a fortune teller who haughtily tells the girl that she doesn't just tell fortunes to anyone about anything. However, she relents and says that feels it's all right for her to go along with it just for fun. She then further clarifies that it will satisfy her curiosity about the girls prospects (the color thing)

Just a small correction: There is no "I am, like you", here. Separating it out, 妾は そなたのような色のない娘が どのような色に身を染めるかが 知りたい The 1st part and the last part together just mean "I want to know" The 2nd clause is "a colorless girl like you" The 3rd clause is "what sort of color will you dye yourself with" or however you want to put it Putting it all together, "I want to know what sort of color with which a colorless girl like you will stain herself" or something like that. But, I still see nothing to indicate that the fortune-teller thinks of herself as colorless...

The most complete course for "official use" kanji you'll find is Kodansha Kanji Learner's Dictionary. It covers all meanings and readings plus a large number of common vocabulary words and exception words. It also helps you identify radicals, kanji parts that contribute to the meaning, and kanji parts that contribute to the sound (pronunciation). It even shows you how to look up unknown kanji. But, it is probably too overwhelming for a beginner. Just remember it for the future. Learning vocabulary words: the way I did it is to google for the JLPT practice vocabulary lists, starting at the lowest level. The free program Tagaini Jisho provides another easy way to access these lists. Click on N5 and on Vocabulary and you'll see a list of some 800 easy words. Of course, you can always look up words and kanji as you read. But if you know some of the most commonly occurring words, you don't have to constantly break the flow of your reading to look up words. (Needless to say, a good grasp of grammar is important--the meaning of sentences can still elude you even if you know the words.)

You can get the files out of the patch installer. You need this program: http://sourceforge.net/projects/innounp/ Put this program in the same folder with the patch installer .EXE Then type innounp -x Aiyoku_no_Eustia_English_v0.27_[Yandere_Translations].exe I just tried it on my PC and it worked. You will get some .arc files and other files. But I did not try to use the BGI Tools. That's up to you.

Installer gives same error on my PC. This sucks. Reinforces my belief that patches should be distributed by ZIP or RAR and not some dumb installer.

It kind of sounds like you are trying to run the BGI tools on the Yandere patch installer .EXE file. But I don't think the tools are meant to be used that way. The tools are meant to be used on the game's data files ending in .ARC So, you probably need to run the patch installer .EXE, let it finish installation. Then, there will be new (modified) data files in your game's folder.
