Translation progress has recuperated now, since @Hasa is back again with full force. Alice's route is progressing as well as Mii's and the second part of the prologue after the OP. Regarding the partial patch, it's basically finished at this point (just some buttons left to translate and we're good to go). We decided to delay its release date. Visual Novel Translation Status (07/16/2016)
For your info I was type this at the tab, so forgive me for some shortcoming here. Anyway, as for the title because we had Muv Luv released, and the sequel (Alternative) was happened to be inspiration for hit manga Attack on Titan, so I decided go to use title Attack on BETA (Since Attack on Titan also had prequel titled Before the Fall, so I decided to use the same title, although the picture for title inspiration was girls from Muv Luv playing

This week I was busier than in a long time with the project.
First, I must apologise. When I released the prologue patch I was sure that everything from the engine to the buttons would've been translated, and according all common sense it was the case... until I revisited it this week.

Shin Koihime Eiyuutan is something of an alternate fandisc for Shin Koihime, including characters from the 'extra materials' that have come out over the years and a canon story flow from the original that seems to be based on Kazuto somehow being on all three sides at once during the wars (lol). To be honest, for consistency, Moeshouden was much better, because it uses the Gaishi setting to explain everything, lol.

Nothing special happened this week, QC isn't perpetually in an Ice Age any longer, and got a nice nump in progress, but there has been no editing this week, sadly.
Aizen-sama, the guy who you might know from MajoKoi and WG translation projects is now QC'ing this project, so steady progress in that front should be secured now.
Now I just need to do something about steady editing progress.

What up, everyone. Here we go with the 8th weekly update. Welp, two months may have passed but the progress done until now has been pretty nice if I say so myself. This week has been rather slow, so I apologize for that. We have recruited our twentieth member, @Torky who will help us in the Majo Koi Team as a Translator to fill our current MIA (but that will definitely be back, work issues don't let them be with us atm) translators, which are @Hasa and @RaurosFalls. I just wrapped up the translation of Futaba's good ending last night, (fought through some H-scenes... ) And here we are!
So with this, we are officially halfway there. It's a pretty good feeling. Although the actual line count hasn't changed that much since last week, just seeing the "50%" makes me feel awesome

Mmm... the first word that comes to mind with this VN is 'nostalgia'. This VN isn't a high-budget affair... in fact, just from the looks and sound of it, it is fairly obvious it is on the lower-budget end of things. The music is about as generic as it comes (fairly low-quality and lacking in variation), and, while there are character sprites for far more characters than is usual, the actual resolution outside of the h-scenes is fairly low.

First, let me say this outright... I have absolutely no problem whatsoever with the romanticization of war in fiction. I love bloody epic war stories even more than I love sushi and ice cream. However, one thing I've noticed as I've read various historical fiction and fantasy is that the bloodier and more horrid a war is, the more it gets romanticized.

Next on our chopping block: the wave dash ( 〜 ), which looks an awful lot like the Western tilde (~) but functions nothing like it. Our refrain here is a familiar one: the wave dash has no place in well-localized English VNs and should be removed or replaced wherever possible. No ifs, no ands, but one very small but.

... wow, it has been a while since I've come across a VN where I can't use meta terms to explain everything.
If I had to put a genre type to this, it would be 'random/comedy/ecchi'. There are a few really unique elements to this VN that I should probably explain before I go any further. First, narration in this VN is almost nonexistent... roughly 98% of the game's text is dialogue, though the h-scenes are narrated. Second, this VN makes no attempt whatsoever to be serious at any point.
