The House In Fata Morgana demo is out!
littleshogun replied to Vorathiel's topic in Visual Novel Talk
My comment on this VN, well the graphic was less bright than normal VN which is anime like and the art style for the character wasn't exactly my style, but if someone like this art style that's okay too. For VNDB score, it's quite interesting that average score was around 8.6 while Bayesian score was at 6.7, which mean this game wasn't quite popular and well-known before translation. Maybe the way to know if this game was good or not was through playing it. And one more thing, this game didn't had voice so obviously I couldn't talk about seiyuu who play a role here. Maybe I'll try this VN later, and to vorathiel, my request is that could you change the title of the thread to 'Fata Morgana Discussion' or something like that after May 13th. The reason should be obvious and thanks in advance to hear my request. -
You're welcome. Glad I could help you
-
Okay, sorry then. To be honest, TV Trope and VNDB was mixing utsuge and nakige trope, make it more confusing to be honest. Okay, so here I'll change my recommendation since apparently you didn't like sad ending or utsuge thing (No problem though since taste for each people was different). For the new recommendation, how about Katawa Shoujo and Yume Miru Kusuri. And as for Shinikiss, the tone maybe depressing, but the game was ended on happy note though (And in VNDB it was not listed as utsuge anyway, but eden and ef was), so you should try Shinikiss. Although I must admit for 3 of my previous recommendation the ending was not so happy. tldr - I recommended Shinikiss again, with Katawa Shoujo and Yume Miru Kusuri as my new recommendation. Have fun for playing VN.

Complaints about moderation goes here
littleshogun replied to Down's topic in Community Coordination and Feedback
@babiker I'm agree with you, but I think all mods here obviously had same problem as bigfatround0, bored (Hey, I also could bored too, okay). So of course they need something to entertain mods, and here we had bigfatround0 willingly to become clown for all of the mod and admin here by posting bait post here, and also to cure his boredom. And I'd read in some forum that sometimes forum need people like bigfatround0. Although I said bigfatroun0 was like clown here, I think the problematic post was not that offensive at least compared to his other posts (Even the target for the post was like it) imo, but of course there's a proverb called the straw finally break the camel here or something like that. And I think it's already intolerable enough, then the rest is history. Note that mods also human, so of course they could be angry or had their limit. But I think by complaining with profanity will not helping the case (Well, the mods also need entertainment though), and if you always saying thay Fuwanovel is shitty, just go back to reddit even though it's quite stale (From my observation it was not only reddit problem, but also with Fuwanovel and VNDB in regard of stale board ie less activity). But if you still willing to entertain mods here and me in the future here, go ahead. Okay, for formality back to topic, I once again didn't had complain about moderation. If I find something wrong with moderation, I think it's better to find a round way to work with that (babiker already point it out about moderation complaint). And the reason I posted in here, well let's just said I was also bored at this time. PS - My post in the past was removed too you know, but I'd definitely would not reacted like you, nor will in the future, because I knew it's pointless. -
Dracu-Riot Saga Part 1: Inamura Rio
littleshogun commented on Arcadeotic's blog entry in Arc's VN Talk
Good review from Dracu Riot fan. Looking forward to your Azusa route review. Sorry, couldn't elaborate more, but I didn't mind your gushing about Rio's route though. -
Happy 21st birthday to @Dergonu, even though in your country it's still too early. Thanks for your review of Beat Blade Haruka, and hope you got more good thing in coming year. Your new avatar was very cute by the way.

Kindred Spirits on the Roof Review and Discussion
littleshogun replied to Decay's topic in Visual Novel Talk
Just browsing yuri site randomly and suddenly found this. So apparently one people started a petition to started Yurirei anime back at March 29th, and now they need 413 more signature to reach 1000. Oh, according to Yuri Nation , Liar-soft was hearing fan wish. For some people who still want more Yurirei, go to petition page and sign that. Hopefully if the petition success and the anime was in production, it'll be good enough (And personally I think it will since Yurirei arc was like normal high school anime, only the producer needed to think how they should changing the H-Scene to more relevant scene since the portion of H-Scene for Yurirei was quite small imo). -
Another bump today for Saku Saku update, and next will be at May 2nd. For Saku Saku, only Ann route that still needed TLC, and then he'll started QC and technical stuff according to his post at the blog here. From the 2nd May post (He promised that he'll use first Monday as the time for announcement) later then we'll knew his ETA for Saku Saku. Anyway, good progess Akerou, oh and TLC percentage was at 82% right now if some of you want to know the number. Oh, since this is charage, I'll add poll because of course taste for people in regard of best girl and best route was different. Looking forward to this VN translation release, even though it's only way for Akerou to practicing his Japan before translating Irotoridori. Edit - Just checked that our Clephas did recommended this game. So, @Clephas may I knew about your opinion for this game personally, and if possible, could you post it here. Sorry and thanks in advance.

How about 7/10 for a portrait with a man smoking and hold red object. Quite complicated style for the portrait I think.
-
Welcome to the Fuwanovel and enjoy your stay here. Since you asking for nakige, because everyone here recommended popular one, how about Air, ef, Shinikiss, and eden for the less popular one. Air was VN that ended with bittersweet note instead of happy, Shinikiss was dealing with the death of childhood friend (And quite underated at VNDB), ef and eden had good scenery porn. I don't know if you like sad ending though, but I think those 4 were quite good in my opinion. Anyway, welcome once again and if you want to ask me what will happen to this thread, well expect moe pictures on this thread sooner or latter. It's like tradition here for giving moe picture for the member who introduce themselves here. Oh, just ask us if you need some help here.

As for my opinion, since the one who tweeted this was Moogy and the day was April fools to boot, well better be cautious I supposed. But I think it's quite worthwhile to speculated, since after all even with his infamy Moogy was still former moral support for TL Wiki, and therefore he might know some behind the scene in VN Translation, however doubtful maybe. And since I was bored, might give a little of my speculation here. @Arcadeotic For Aroduc, he was quite famous for translating VN with gameplay. His work were Kamidori and Seinarukana (He was translated this after 2 previous translators of Seinarukana disappear). Anyway, about 2 of his project, I think if this is true, the most likely project would be Amatsukaze, since I'd read his post back at his blog that he was complained GIGA engine was too hard to work when he translated Duel Savior (Note that Baldr Sky using GIGA engine) Ixrec, other than he was somewhat divisive in regard of translation (ie too literal) I think at this time he was quite busy with work, so much that his project Rewrte HF page was abandoned for several months. Keep in mind that he was usually did update every week for the progress. With his business, i think he couldn't take more than 2 projects. About Aiyoku, I think just see it later if it's true or not. Other than that not care much and quite had a little to comment. That's all from me.

Yurirei, the first VN with the solution involving time travel on computer. Well, the first time I managed to get it I couldn't open it, then I saw this comment and something occured to me I mean what if he could be able the game because the date was February 27th, not February 28th so he could played it. Then I change the date on my laptop (To February 27th) and it works (Really). And then I posted the solution to reply the one who commented. Okay, back to topic, since the topic was not the history of Yurirei solution (Although I just want to brag a bit lol), but you asked for another solution, so the solution which wasn't involving time travel was just download the crack (I'll PM you the link, just to be cautious) and follow the steps below Follow those steps about and you shall help Sachi and Megumi building their yuritopia soon. Oh, is your OS was Windows XP by the way (Because I read that the loader wasn't working for XP iirc), and hope this solution once again help. Edit - If you want to find the crack, just either PM me or search Google 'KindredSpirit.exe downloadani' and click the first link.

What do you think goes into making a good VN user-interface?
littleshogun replied to Zodai's topic in Visual Novel Talk
About interface, well as far as VN goes it was quite standard I think. But if you ask me what should be good interface, I think it's better if you could jump back to the previous scene or allowed us skip to next choice (Or go back to previous choice). The VN which did that was Noodle Work and Dracu Riot. That's all from me. -
About lack of CG Gallerry (I knew it should be standard VN feature), actually there is one VN and ironically it was the best VN. Yes, I'm talking about Muv Luv Alternative which didn't had extra menu iirc. Actually before Mangagamer release ef, English ef version (Fan Translated) somehow managed to remove extra menu (CG, BGM, Scene). Back to topic, I think propeller also need to had some obligatory fanservice, and this time we had maid cafe. Oh, by the way our Raziel will be changing the clothes in maid cafe (The problem was our MC watching though. Oh, by the way nice commentary on maid uniform Setsuna, and get ready to face maid otaku anger I supposed lol). And I actually quite amazed that Sorami and Lilith managed to high five like that for long time (So does Decay). One last note, at this time VNDB score for Tokyo Babel was at 7.13 (I used Bayesian rating at VNDB by the way), whivh mean that this game once again got the good reception from VN fan (Although it's still too early to said that though). Oh, and welcome back @Shioxus. Thanks for your Bunny Black tips by the way, because it helped me alot in the beginning. And once again hopefully many people had interest for Tokyo Babel.

To answering your question, yes, the patch was released and it was almost complete translation. The recently released patch was translated all of the routes except Miu's route which was only 50% translated, including her bonus story (I checked it using sagaoz save). Hope it'll be help.
-
I think yes, just come across it. Anyway, here's the alternative link for Dracu Riot patch at MEGA there just in case some user here still not download the patch yet.

Favorite BGM/soundtrack of a Visual Novel
littleshogun replied to Exult's topic in Visual Novel Talk
Originally I want to post it on Dracu Riot thread, but I think it's better if I posted it here. Anyway, here's the image song for each heroine in Dracu Riot. Actually the voiced version was not in BGM part of the game itself, only instrumental version for heroine's leitmotif. Anyway, enjoy the music here. 1. Miu's Character Song 2. Azusa's Character Song 3. Rio's Character Song 4. Elina's Character Song Enjoy the Character Songs for Dracu Riot heroines once again. -
And here's comes my long post about Dracu Riot. Don't worry, I'll try to keep it clean from the spoiler here as much as possible. For a little about history lesson, Dracu Riot was 2nd project for Staircase Subs after Hoshizora no Memoria. It was begin back at 2012 (With smoothly translation progress) until September 2013, which back there Insem decided to did something that cause his infamy, that he promised to release the patch with all of currently translated route but he only released the patch with Elina route translated. Well, technically he fulfill his promise though, just almost 31 months late (Granted, anyone will be easily angered enough if the delay was that long. I was the one who angry to be honest). And as we know, yeah finally he decided to release it, allowing Insem to retired with peace (His last post made me feeling guilty for saying him a troll and liar though. Although his tweet before that really didn't help to soften the blow at all, especially if waiting time was like once again almost 31 months). So, basically this VN was becoming 2nd Majikoi (Translated by other retired group then picked up by Fuwanovel here), and I'll made comment on Nosebleed progress report. As for the premise, it was like our MC Yuuto want to visit Aqua Eden in order to experience adult night life with his best friend. Then his fate was turned because he was almost death by getting in crossfire between security task force member and the criminals. From getting caught in crossfire, Yuuto was turned into vampire. From now on, he could only sleep at day and wake up at night (Not completely though, just the routine was changed). Oh, by the way Yuuto was still in high school, so he also attended special school at Aqua Eden which hold class at night (I forgot to said that Aqua Eden was a city which the people was live together with vampire, and the main source of income of Aqua Eden was night life business). And so Yuuto begin his life at Aqua Eden with many girls. From production value and technical my praise was same as Noble Works here (All heroine had character song and you could also jump to next choice or back to replay a the scene). For the setting, Aqua Eden was indeed more interesting than Roku Roku Academy, although I didn't said Noble Work setting was bad of course, and also in regard of activity at night. Oh, and the opening here was fully animated, unlike back at Noble Works which only partially animated. For the seiyuu info, we had returning cast from Noble Works such as (I'll use format NW Character / Seiyuu) Masamune Shizuru / Natsuno Koori aka Taguchi Hiroko (Suou Amane from Grisaia franchise, Kagami Sumika from Muv Luv franchise, Hinata Natsumi from Sharin no Kuni) who played as Miu here. Sanjou Makoto / Ai Shimizu (Komine Sachi from Grisaia franchise, Miss X from Root Double, Napoleon from Eiyuu Senki) who played Russian girl Elina. Kunihiro Hinata / Nabatame Hitomi (Shirakawa Nanaka from Da Capo 2, Tonami Yuma from ToHeart 2, Aoi Sena from Chaos Head) who play Nicola. Nagamitsu Maya / Aoba Ringo aka Ringorin (Shihoudou Narika from Beat Blade Haruka, Sakurai Kanade from Deardrops, Benkei from Eiyuu Senki) here who played Sayo, mayor of Aqua Eden. Although we got 4 returning seiyuu, some the new seiyuu who play in this game also well known and played a character in translated VN. For the new seiyuu, we got (The format this time will be Alias / Real Name for heroine seiyuu) Satou Shizuku / Nanjou Yoshino (Tsukishima Koko from Da Capo 2, Ouhama Yukino from Osanajimi wa Daitoryou) who played our loli Azusa here. Oh, she was also seiyuu for Ayase Eli from Love Live. And by the way Azusa design was almost like Nozomu from Hatsuyuki Sakura. Ayukawa Hinata / Sakata Kayo (Sakaue Tsukuyo from Yumina the Ethereal, Kisaragi Suzu from Ayakashibito, Arashima Honoka from Shinikiss) who played Rio here. Kawashima Rino (Toomi Yuna from Kindred Spirit on Rooftop, Tokisaka Yukari from Kara no Shoujo duology (For now), Subaru from Beat Blade Haruka, Usami Haru from G-Senjou no Maou) here played Anna Reticle, who acted as Sayo's secretary. Furukawa Tetsuo (Quite unusual that we got experienced male seiyuu compared to Noble Works. Anyway, his role was Gii from Inganock, Nikola Tesla from Gahkthun) who played Yuuto best friend, Kurahashi Naota. I think that's all for seiyuu info here. For the games, well my advice just find out by yourself, since the reaction for each people was very different of course (Some of them will love it very much like OP and some of them probably not so much). But keep in mind that this is charage though, although quite good one I think. As for character image song, I'll posted it on BGM VN thread later. Enjoy the game, and once again use this thread for discussing Dracu Riot (Also don't forget to give moral support for Miu's completion translation team there, lead by one of 'Elite Four of Fuwanovel' Nosebleed there, with help from Oxford Comma team).
-
Damn, I'm just trying to make a thread to discuss this game and suddenly you stole my job lol (Well, thanks though). Be ready for my long post here though. Oh, may I suggest to make a poll for favorite route and character here, since Dracu Riot was a charage and I think opinion for each people may be different. Sorry and thanks in advance. I'll move my discussion material to this thread, so to all user here use this thread as Dracu Riot discussion thread. And I'll made it more short.
-
Oh, forgot to comment here beforehand, but since Insem fulfill his promise, I'll take back what I said before, although I still with statement that Dracu Riot was still a failed project though (Hey, I mean failed to be finished by Insem here, okay. Red text in Umineko usually contained exact word by the way). Good luck for the new team here.
-
Hello and welcome again to the Fuwanovel. I thought introduce myself at 41st post was quite late, and here we had a veteran who reintroduce himself at 2,300 more posts (Not that I said it's wrong to be friendly though, and his situation was different though). Oh, nice picture of Natsume Rin there (Although solidbatman slightly dislike it though).
-
@Mugi Not really since Dracu Riot was only charage (I mean have no true route), but the reasoning was more for the people who obviously want to read all route translated. Actually it's still worth it if you just read it only for Azusa or Elina route, but if you aim to read it completely better waiting of course. tldr - It's still worth to read, but keep it mind that if you want to read it in English completely better waiting for completion patch.
-
Well, I think the question should be could you read Japanese for last half of Miu's route or not? If yes then I suggest Dracu Riot (Or if you can't read Japan, then just read manga for story at Miu's route since Dracu Riot manga adapted Miu's route), and if not then of course the choice goes to Tokyo Babel duh. Although your VNDB list said that most of your VN was translated though, so I suggest you for Tokyo Babel, although Dracu Riot also good in it's own way of course.

Visual Novel Translation Status (04/02/2016) Frankly with 4 image at header of VNTS I was quite confused with the title (But I appreciate your effort, admin Tay), so since 2 of 4 header was came from quite popular VN, I decided to use the title based on those 2 VN. Twilight is actually quite infamous with the vampire fan, but I guess it's kinda fitting for the man behind the VN itself until a little while ago. And purgatory was obviously reference to Tokyo Babel duh. Welcome to my 2nd post for my commentary about VN Translation Update here. First we surely had some of the update here. And for my commentary I think based on Tay update I'll divided between Mangagamer and fan translation segment. Based on VNTS, from JAST and Sekai there's no worthwhile progress, but I think I'll open the commentary segment for Sekai first in order to state my opinion about Root Double Sekai Project As only Decay was the one who commented on it, guess it makes me the 2nd people here? Anyway, I'd already suspected that Sekai might delayed the release of Root Double in March considering that they never updated the Kickstarter past March 10th until near March end. From the messages that Funyarinpa got from NeoGAF forum and DavidB statement, I guess it's majorly the delay part was come from Regista or Yeti instead of Sekai which come as of no surprise since Sekai promised us to release XTend version on PC and I suspect that maybe Regista also decided to do that for their own language just recently (Or still in planning), and I speculate that since according to those 2 statements that Regista was did not contact Sekai Project in regard of Root Double (If my instinct was right of course, and virginsmasher said it happened with Himawari). But I think Sekai should announce this fact to the fans instead of fans try to deduce from the publisher word. And as for Sekai Project, other than Root Double delay not much needed to be commented. Mangagamer Normally until surprised announcement it should be the best announcement and should be save for the last. But because the surprised announcement, I'll decided to make a commentary before fan translation segment. Okay, this time Mangagamer was bring us many update. I think as for round up not much interesting happened there. Fatamorgana, Kuroinu, and MYTH was not on my list of looking forward I think but congratulations for MYTH for reaching 100% translation first though (Fatamorgana will be release on May 13th and Kuroinu reaching 40% though just for recap here). Imopara 2, well copy paste pink-haired heroine issue aside the progress was surprisingly fast (Or Mangagamer already translated this before announcement was also possible) at 36.59% and editing at 10% in this moment. Evangile W as also progressed quite well with the progress was at 32.58% (And it mean the time for Evangile fan to see their heroine more was slowly approaching). As for the more interesting update, Da Capo 3 at this moment was at 85% (To admin @Tay, you forgot this little update), Pygmalion was at 63.31%, and Bokuten was edited at 70%. Da Capo 3 was had quite an interesting history with this community, notably involving MT and Aaeru. I'll try to write more if Mangagamer managed to release it, and looks like Decay prediction about Da Capo 3 translation will be finished around July might be true. As for Pygmalion, no more comment at this moment other than Clephas didn't like it much (Although the girl MC remind me of Aoishiro premise though). Bokuten, the interesting thing was according to VNDB 2 seiyuu for Root Double MC was casted as male side characters here. Another interesting thing was it will follow Overdrive usual theme (Music, and the band was comprised of all angels), and sex scene was apparently quite important compared to previous Overdrive games. I think if I'll type more here it'll be too much. Finally for the big news from Mangagamer. As we knew, Tokyo Babel was finally released. From the response at Steam it seems quite accepted well. And VNDB scoring of Tokyo Babel rise a bit from 7.01 to 7.03. Our Clephas and Conjuror also like this game. For the size, it was quite big at 8.57 GB, but I still accepted it compared to School Days (9.6 GB) and Shiny Days (16 GB) size (And apparently 'Days' games had some kind of bug that was caused by poor programming at Overflow). Go play it if you didn't play the demo yet, and it's all age by the way (Although I didn't mean for 4 - 12 years old children though, especially girl one. The reason I stated that because there was some PreCure seiyuu involving in Tokyo Babel, and PreCure targeting girls from age 4 - 12 years old. Anyway, the content was definitely not for children). As for Decay commentary, for the picture it was somehow quite funny that no one commented on that until now, and for maid cafe, well let's just said that propeller also need their fan service dose a little bit. Fan Translation There's surely many interesting progress coming from here. First I'll comment on Koiken Otome progress as they finally had their TLC at 100% (By the way, it's 2nd update you didn't catch it admin Tay) and QC at 86.39%. I didn't know how much we must waiting for this, but maybe hopefully this year it'll be finished. Oh, just expect it as moege/charage with chuunige element instead of pure chuunige like Tokyo Babel if you didn't want to be disappointed since I'd read some review about this game and the response was less than favorable. Astral Air was stable (I mean always updated each week) as usual, but the progress was slowing down at this week (From 0.4% to 0.2%) and looks like they decided to finish Yuuki route translation first before move to Corona route. Harakano, well good for pregnancy fetish I supposed (I was only comment on this because it was one of 4 image header lol). Congratulations on Magical Eyes release though (Well Fruitbat was comprised of fan translator, so it's counted here I supposed), although the graphic was quite less good compared to other VN, but I appreciate their effort to make animated OP, had the singer sing the OP, and had the seiyuu for voicing the game (Keep in mind that the company behind Magical Eyes was not professional, but amateur group so normally the expected production value should be less imo. Sorry for to be blunt here). For the project that need some help, first I will need to commented on Aokana. For Ren's group, good luck for finding N2 and N3 translator first, and I'll be waiting until December for the completion here (Since you promised us to release the patch at October for the earliest, but I'll be lenient here so I said until December (Although earlier was of course very good)). About the second group, for 5 language since mod zenophilius suggested something interesting, how about if I translated it in English, Arabic, Latin, Indonesia, and Chinese language by using Google Translate lol and release it unedited. Just give me script, had programmer created the patch with the translation, and done. For serious comment, it was quite hard to translate in 5 languages at the first place and more hard if you want to had it translated properly. So I think the 2nd group was quite attention seeker here. And for To Hearts 2, even though in 'certain site' it was considered as complete I think it's quite nice that the translator still spent some effort to refine it. Good luck ittaku, and thanks for your 7 years (Soon to be 8 years) of works. Finally, this is surprising indeed. After I rant on this board back at 21 and half hours ago about this, and suddenly 9 and half hours ago (I was not online back there) it was really happened, the promise from back at 2013 was suddenly happened. I mean with some certain translator promised to release any completed work, partial or not. Okay, I was talk about Dracu Riot and Insem here. Honestly, it was definitely pleasant surprised here, but too bad for Miu's route it's still half translated, so it was still incomplete. I was planned to rant about Dracu Riot here if the announcement didn't happened. Anyway, with this guess Yuzu-soft cursed was almost broken here and hopefully some user here was willing to translate remaining 10% of the game or last half of Miu's route, and finally we had 2 Yuzu-soft translation project break the curse (I mean with August, Yuzu-soft games was cursed to had their translation to be never finished. The first game that break Yuzu-soft curse was Noble Noodle Works translation, which was released back at Christmas 2015). As for my state, I was thinking if I should open the discussion if not, but maybe I should if only to talk about 3 and half finished route (The bonus route script was around 4300 lines, which was quite big compared to Noble Works bonus route script which was only around 1100 lines). See you later at Dracu Riot discussion thread later. I think that's all I could write for now, and thanks for reading my though here which was quite long here.
-
Welcome to the forum. (Cliche I knew) How inexperience you were in VN anyway? Okay, for starter I think you should play the one that recommended above. Shuffle and To Heart2 was good too. And since no one recommended it here, how about Fate Stay Night and Clannad here (Both of those were quite popular and had also popular anime adaptation, which you surely had watch). Well, good luck to made some progress in VN world.
