Visual novels similar to the Grisaia series
littleshogun replied to serpentry69's topic in Recommendations
If you just want to play another VN based on the writer, maybe you can try Hatsumira. For other suggestion, well you can try Akagoei, Sharin, Carnevale, Shibuya Scramble, and Sorcery Jokers. I don't know if you'll like those VNs or not, but regard less of that I hope my recommendations here will be helpful to you. -
Welcome to this week VNTS Review, and since we have both of Gears of Dragoon 2 announced along with Junketsu Megami-Sama getting some progress I decided to change the word 'Dragoon' into 'Goddess' (Translation Notes: Megami-sama mean goddess) so we have 'Gears of Goddess' as the title. As for this week, the most obvious things here would be that this is a breather week after a number of announcements at the last week. That said it didn't mean that there wasn't something interesting though, because in this week we finally have Nekonyan gave us an updates (Even though they just gave it on Sunday) along with Sekai, and more importantly we have the sex scenes from Saya's route of Miagete was finally translated. Overall I can say that this week here is an above average one, and let's see what I can write in regard of it. Besides several announcements, actually Aksys also gave the updates on several of their project in regard of the releases estimation. Although admittedly there's a lot to write in the last week VNTS Review, so I missed those updates. Anyway for the updates we have Koinegau planned to be released at Spring 2023 (ie between March to June 2023), Lover Pretend planned to be released on September later, Paradigm Paradox planned to be released on October, and Piofiore 1926 will be released on September 8th later. I don't know if Aksys will manage to fulfill the deadline later, especially in regard of Piofiore 1926 seeing that they still list the release date on September 22nd so let's see it later. I also forgot to write that Birushana was already released on June 28th in last week, so I'd write it here and have fun if you took a liking to that otome VN. Sekai did revamp their Translation Tracker, and it's quite neat with the tracker show the date when the last updates happened. That said no notable updates to me seeing that both new Madosoft VNs are still at 0% translated. Anyway for the updates we have both of Nekopara 5 (Or as the official title say Nekopara After) and Inupara are obviously still in development, Nie no Hakoniwa was at 20% translated, Yumeiro was at 65% translated, Zutto Mae Kara Joshi Deshita (The VN where the MC date his best friend who turned out to be male after the MC thought his best friend is male) was started translation work, Imouto no Seiiki was fully edited and currently they worked on the engine, Gakkou no Seiiki was started the editing work, and Akaneiro was at 10% translated. Also no the last update is not the typo because turned our that Sekai is indeed still work on 5% of the script in the past weeks instead of 50%, and the one with 50% translated is turned out to be the typo. After two years absences, we finally have Loe Translation give the update in regard of Junketsu Megami-sama with said updates is the translator almost finished with one of the route (Asterotte's), and no much to say other than it's good to see that it's still worked on. For the rest of fan translation updates, we have Chronos was at 35% translated, Chicchakunai Mon was at 14.5% edited, Shin Koihime Musou was at 57% edited, Houkago Cinderella was at 48.22% translated, Imaimo was at 29.1% edited with common route was fully edited and Matsuri's route was past halfway (50.9%) edited, Ruitomo was at 4.20% edited, Senmomo was at 62.02% edited with Chapter 5 was at 9.35% edited, and 14 out of 37 script files of Yuzuki's route of Ginharu along with her 2 out of 10 sex scenes were translated. We finally have Snow translation team continuing to work on Miagete uncensor patch, and they also already have some good progress on it with them finished translating all of the sex scenes in Saya's route. For the info Miagete here has 17 sex scenes and Saya's route has four scenes, so the progress here is 4 out of 17 Miagete's sex scenes were translated. For Nekonyan's updates, the most obvious update is that they basically confirm that they'll release Golden Time on Friday (ie July 15th). Of course though other than the confirmation of release date we also have some other updates. For the other updates, we have Clover Days was at 5% in QA with them waiting on fixed animation assets from the developer, Laplacian helping Nekonyan on porting the image of Mirai Radio, Makeover FD was started the QA work, ensemble working together with Nekonyan in regard of Secret Agent programming work, FF was at 93% translated along with 21% edited, Royale was at 90% edited, and Kakenuke was at 15% translated. We also have Nekonyan indirectly announced that they'll release Dracu Riot for Switch with the progress is they also currently porting it to Unity for Switch version. Lastly if you're curious about the non VN (Lorena) update, we have it was fully translated and edited along with them working to integrating the additional content. That's all for this week VNTS Review and sorry for being late again. See you next week.

Tsurezure's New Project - Gin'iro Haruka
littleshogun replied to littleshogun's topic in Fan Translation Discussion
Another update, and as of now we have 13 out of 37 script files for Yuzuki's route along with 2 out of her 10 sex scenes are done. No much to say in regard of the updates, so that's all for the updates. -
VN of the Month June 2022 - AI: Somnium Files - nirvanA Initiative
littleshogun commented on kivandopulus's blog entry in Vndbreview
Go-toubon (Or The Quintessential Quintuplets) VN here is quite hyped for some fans who didn't satisfied with the manga ending (Either because they have a certain favorite heroine or some may feel that the author waste the chance for harem ending), and no much to say other than Bokuben did attempt to avoid the necessity of making the similar VN just to satisfy the fan who didn't like canon couple by making the manga has five ending for each of the heroines (At least it should provided good material in case the animation studio want to make OVA/another season based on the alternative endings in the future). If anything else, at least the VN is quite popular with some fans decided to translate the prequel. Pulltop released Umi only Koiresort fandisc, and other than the obvious fact that Pulltop won't bother to localize this I guess we can say that Pulltop here start scrambling to milk their older VN. At least you can see more sex scene with Umi in case you're still not satisfied with her sex scenes in both of original Koiresort and the crossover fandisc. This time Somnium 2 has two MCs, with previous MC stepdaughter Mizuki and new male MC Ryuki. Note that this is not the first time Uchikoshi worked on dual MC work, in which it may or may not because of Nakazawa who apparently has some roles in writing. Oh by the way it should be noted that Nakazawa's VNs usually has two MCs, and some of his works are Remember11 and Root Double in which are notable for having two MCs. No much to say beside those three VNs, so that's all for my comment on June 2022 VNs. -
Anime of the Year 1980 - Hi no Tori 2772: Ai no CosmoZone
littleshogun commented on kivandopulus's blog entry in Anime of the Season
Now that you manage to list Doraemon movie, let me say that Doraemon here is also famous in Indonesia seeing that it's airing since 1990 until today. As for the premise, let's just say that while it's reasonable enough at the first glance you'll find some hole if you watch the other time travel anime. Anyway as for the movie itself, instead of usual thing (Nobita crying to Doraemon while occasionally stumbled upon Shizuka taking a bath, Giant bully Nobita and forcing everyone to enjoy his (Awful) song and food, Suneo showing off his wealth (And his constant vacation to Hawaii)) the gang here will facing a threat that definitely out of their league if not for Doraemon's tools, and in this first movie they'll face the future poacher who specialized in dinosaur. Other than my comment in regard of Doraemon first movie, no much that I can comment so that's all for my comment on 1980 anime. -
Welcome to this week VNTS Review, and as you can see this week is quite packed because of AX that was finally happened after two years absences thanks to pandemic. While in general the AX announcements are quite interesting and that it mean there's a lot of new announcements, there's still some doubt whether we can see it quickly especially when it come to Sekai Project. Although seeing JAST recently manage to upped their game combined with their announcements, we may have some good title from them in the near future if all going well. Overall I can say that the first AX after pandemic here is quite exciting and so does in regard of this week, and for the title I'll tell it at PS later so let's see what I can write in regard of this week beforehand. We have Chinkamo Twins release, and no much to say that it would be a nice VN if you're in the mood for little sister nukige with nice graphic so have fun if you like it. Love Lab also has some progress on Sugar Sweet Temptation, and said progress is that it's been fully translated and they're aiming for September release. Fakku also announce something, and said announcement in regard of Iku Iku Succubus exact release date in which it'll be on 19th later. Lastly we have Steam listed Kirikoi Golden Time release date will be on 15th later, although the date might be placeholder so let's see we'll see Golden Time release at that date later. Spike Chunsoft announced Anonymous Code, and they also state that they'll release it on 2023 later. What I know is that while initially it's not intended as part of Science Adventure series, some times later the creator said that Anonymous Code here is the part of Science Adventure series because he realized that it might help the hype if it's established in the same universe as Steins Gate. As for the premise we have Earth in 2036 was face some disaster that caused by the computer and said disaster expected to repeat in 2038, so a group of scientists decided to make an Earth Simulator by using a supercomputer, although turned out that the Earth Simulator here also manage to create their own Earth Simulator thus causing the scientist to have existential crisis. I don't understand much of it other than the MC has the power to 'Save and Load' like in video game, it'll have a lot of science fiction, and that it'll be available for PC later. Speaking of PC, we also have Noah will be available on PC as well. Aksys Games announcement consist mostly otome VN, and unfortunately those announcements are only available for console. There's one exception though of both though, and said exception is the horror VN Death Mark II that was apparently still in development with PC version will be available. For the rest of the announcement, we have Norn9 fandisc (I only know that Nobuo Uematsu (Who's more famous as FF composer) compose some of the soundtrack of the main Norn9), Shuuen no Virche (Quite dark looking from the premise, seeing that it involve curse and death along with the female MC was called up as the god of death because she's said to bring misfortune to anyone who is close with her), and Radiant Tale (The premise is apparently featuring the circus or something like that (The group is even named CIRCUS), and the female MC is quite good looking). For the info, all of their announcements were slated to be released on 2023 later. Shiravune announced several new VNs, and if I may blunt all of those are quite plain compared to what they can do in the past. At least Great Deceiver here has a nice art courtesy of Seishoujo (Bible Black, Discipline, and Starless artist), and yes I know that it's Empress's VN which mean that supposedly it should be JAST's license although perhaps because there's a character from elf as the cameo the producer decided to ask Shiravune to localize it. Anyway if you want to get Great Deceiver bcause of the nice art it'll be released on August 5th later. For the other announcements, we have one Escude VN (Himeyoku) with the premise the MC taking the revenge by corrupting the princess with the help of the demons, one Dieselmine nukige, and two Debonosu VN (Tamakagura and the second part of Maika trilogy). At least Shiravune will release those in this autumn with they'll release Dieselmine nukige in August later, and there'll be eight more VNs from them at this year. This time Mangagamer only has two announcements, although this time they also do some updates to both Rance license with IX was almost ready for the testing because they already got the testing build for it, and X was already past halfway (52%) translated. Coincidentally one of their announcement is Rance, or more specifically Rance 03 in which it's the remake of the old Rance 3 with the revamped gameplay and more importantly add the voice acting. What I can say is that while Rance 3 story here is can be said to be better than the previous two Rance and that it's also translated, I would say that the remake is better anyway seeing that the original Rance 3 graphic was already outdated and that 03 here has some change in the story. For the last announcement we have BL VN Lkyt with the premise resemble Attack on Titan one, and it's from the same company who produce both No Thank You and Room No. 9. Fan Translation After two years since the beginning of the fan translation project from yumi, I figure that I should keep my eyes on the project that has the goal to translate GL VN True Love's Lily Dyes Red (Or in short it's Manakashi from the Japanese name Manakashi no Yuri wa Akaku Somaru). What I can say is that while the art is definitely cute looking, there's quite a number of twisted sex scenes which may be too disturbing if you decided to play it which is fitting seeing that it's from Bug System who as we know also develop Chrono Box that also has some twisted sex scenes. Obviously anyone else who didn't like disturbing sex scenes should be beware of the contents, especially if you're playing for GL romance (Of course Manakashi here should be interested if you like the combination of GL and twisted sex scenes). Anyway as for the current progress we have it at 42.09% translated. For the rest of fan translation updates, we have Imaimo was fully translated with the team decided to put focus on image editing, Noah was past halfway (50.15%) edited along with 49.29% TLC (It seems they decided to keep going despite Noah PC version was announced), Aya's route of Akagoei FD along with one third of Takanori's Extra was translated, Chronos was at 30% translated, Ruitomo was at 3.01% edited, and Eustia was at 97.25% in programming with Licia's chapter was at 85.41% in programming. We also have Tsukihime Remake translation team announced the exact date to release Arcueid's route patch, and said date will be on 16th later. For the last update from fan translation, we have Daybreak Translation finished two sex scenes from Yuzuki's route along with revealing that Yuzuki's route has 37 script files with nine of those are already translated by Trip and the translator translated two more script files, and so we have 11 out of 37 script files for Yuzuki's route of Ginharu was translated. Sekai Project In AX 2022 here we have Sekai announced several title, with most of those are from Madosoft and Neko Works. But before going to it I'll list some of the progress on their title. For the updates, we have Eternal Heart was at 95% in QA (Which mean we may have Hoshimemo FD released later) and more importantly we have Amatsutsumi's exact release date on 29th later (It might be placeholder date like Kirikoi Golden Time though, so let's see it if they already find a way to work around Steam ban of it). We also have one of AX announcement from Sekai in regard of Watashi-tachi no Marriage 1/Our Marriage 1, and turned out that the developer is still working together with Sekai to localize it. Also since the plan to release it on August later, obviously both of the translation and editing work of it are already finished. The first announcement is Happy Saint Sheol in which apparently it's the VN about doomed world with the MC encounter an angel in his work as apprentice priest, and from there he encounter six girls who may involved with the MC in one way or another. No much that I can find out other than the full version of it slated to be released in Japan on August 13th later, Sekai will released the translated version of it on 2023 later with the current progress was at 5% translated, and that apparently there'll be some twisted sex scenes along with disturbing contents. The second announcement is Parfait in which as we know it's another Maruto Fumiaki (Damekoi and WA2 writer for the reminder) that was focused on the MC tried to revive his bankrupt cafe, and looking from the premise alone I see that it resemble Damekoi to a degree. While I know that it should be a good announcement, I can't help to be a bit worry about the removal of the sex scenes seeing that it's from GIGA and we know on how GIGA caused Sekai to remove the sex scene from Baldr Sky. Doubly so for Parfait here because GIGA here is also make PS2 version that has two new heroine and that they'll port PS2 version into PC version with the HD graphic, so the chance that Sekai will localize said version is quite likely. If anything else, at least it's more like Yoake instead of Konosora situation if Sekai forced by GIGA to localized PS2 backport edition later. We also have three announcements from Neko Works, and naturally one of those is Nekopara VN with said Nekopara is probably the last one. Said Nekopara VN will apparently focused on the catgirl from Nekopara 4, Fraise, and more importantly the little sister Shigure, and from what I see in the full title (Nekopara After: La Vraie Famille) it might be intended as Nekopara 5 (Note that 'V' is the Roman number of 5). Another project is Inupara (From the April Fool announcement), and no much that I can see other than this time they decided to try to make the VN about dog girl instead of cat girl (At least Sayori's art here is still nice to see). For the last Neko Works announcement it's Nie no Hakoniwa that was developed by Neko Works branch, Chatte Noire (Or in English 'Black Cat') with said branch will focused on the darker VN as the name suggest. As for Hakoniwa itself, from what I see it'll involving some sort of curse and nightmare. If anything else, at least it's nice to see that Neko Works trying to make some VN with darker story. The first Madosoft VN that Sekai announced is Raspberry Cube, in which it's the VN that was developed after Wagahigh. Speaking of Madosoft, I realized that the hair color of the heroines are following a pattern, although seeing that the VN is still good enough as charage I suppose it didn't matter much (Or as some people saying if it ain't broken don't fix it). At least Madosot realized that drawing all heroines with big breast won't give everyone good impression to the VN, so good for them. The premise is goes like we have the MC Satoru come back into his hometown after several years away from it, and he tried to live up to his principle to do good once a day. While initially he seems to be successful to do the principle with three heroines, unfortunately Satoru's deed here seems to not working with the fourth heroine. The other notable feature is that Raspberry Cube here didn't have common route, which make this VN is like Makeover. The second Madosoft VN announcement is Hamidashi Creative, and said VN is the one that people hoping that it would be translated. I admit that I sort of hoping that either Nekonyan or even Shiravune will took the license of it when Madosoft said that they'll localize it, but turned out that Sekai still the one who worked on it. Anyway in Hamidashi we have the return of student council setting like in Wagahigh, although this time we have our MC worked as student council president that he initially isn't ready for it because the school has a good idea to chose the president through lottery, and as the result he's at first scrambling for the help for a while before finally getting some help from the four heroines. Like Wagahigh each heroines are talented in certain field, although this time it's related to pop culture (Novelist, VA, illustrator, and VTuber). Unlike Raspberry Cube in that it has no common route, this time Madosoft decided to make a long common route. JAST USA It's quite surprising that JAST here manage to announce several interesting title, and combining with their current release pace we may see the announcements will be released within reasonable time. Anyway we also have some progress from their other available project, with one of those is in regard of waiting for the developer to develop Machine Child. We also have JAST announced that they resume the work on Katahane, admitting that the work on Sumaga is going slowly, and lastly saying that Slow Project is still being worked on. We also have JAST announced another Mamomo Musume exact release date (For the info it'll be released on 25th later), and for the reminder Mamono Musume here is a series of nukige that was focused on monster girls with this Mamono Musume is focused on spider girl along with cyclops girl and harpy girl. First announcement from JAST is Inyochu, and from what I can see it's nukige about demon hunter that will be facing a lot of monster that would be rape the hunter if they fail to exterminate it. Well not exactly my cup of tea here, but some people may find Inyochu interesting. The second announcement is Gore Screaming Show, and yes it's been speculated that JAST will license it so it's pretty much inevitable. I know that it also got fan translation project, although I suppose it's good that JAST manage to get this seeing that JAST already has doing much on the translation work compared to the project. For more info the artist for the VN is Ueda Metawo who as we know worked on Sadistic Blood and Dead Aegis, and his drawing in this VN is still good looking despite that Screaming Show here is a 16 years old VN. On the other hand though, it mean that he can draw disturbing sex scenes very well so much that you can feel on how disturbing the contents from the drawing alone. Third announcement from JAST is one of Alcot VN called Tokyo Hero Project, and from what I can see this VN is more or less tokusatsu parody (The fact that Alcot parodied Toei logo here is the giveaway) with the MC here witness the battle between the hero and the villain cadre only to had him miss the chance for part time job. Then the MC search the new part time job, and he met with the villain boss who accept him to do the job. Turned out that the part time job is involving the MC working as the cadre with his task is battling the hero (Or rather the heroine because the hero in here is female and thus one of the love interest) with the MC using mascot powered suit. What I understand from the premise is that the MC here is more or less like Onigokko in that the MC was acted as the antagonist, although this time it's because of the job instead of being the inherited one. The fourth announcement is from their usual partner, and said partner is Ninetail although the announced VN is not one of Venus Blood VN but instead it's Gears of Dragoon 2. I can see that some people asking on why JAST not license the first game, and if I may speculate perhaps it's because of the resolution (The first game is only at 800x600, while the second game is at 1280x720). Gears of Dragoon 2 here is the dungeon crawling RPG, and the premise is we have the MC who inherited his father wish to traverse into the dungeon in order to obtain the great power, although as we know from usual dungeon crawling RPG going to reach the final point of the dungeon won't be easy so obviously the MC ask some help from several female characters who one way or another will have sex with him (Duh). Speaking of sex scenes, seeing that it's Ninetail VN of course it still has some tentacle sex scenes. Last but not the least we have Tokyo Necro, as in the Nitroplus VN that was released back on 2016. For Tokyo Necro itself, we'll going to have two MCs with different gender (Male and female) and four heroines, so we can say that Tokyo Necro here is half GL VN. Of course though seeing that it's Nitroplus there's more than GL story in Tokyo Necro, namely that the setting is in 2199 with the world entered the second Ice Age. In said years there's a lot of zombie with some people are capable to handle them (Necromancers), and the one who tried to fight the Necromancers are both MCs who are the member of the organization that has the goal to fight it. One day the male MC Souun encounter an amnesiac girl who remember nothing but her name is Hougyou Ilia, and seeing that Ilia was somehow targeted by Necromancers Souun decided to protect her. Obviously there'll be a lot of battle as per Nitroplus VN, and you can look forward into it later if you want some action VN. Almost forget to mention that all of JAST announcements here already have progress. For the roundup of the progress, Inyouchu was fully translated and edited, Gore Screaming Show was at 65% translated along with 40% edited with the release planned at this year (Well let's see if JAST can do it later), Tokyo Hero Project was at 90% translated along with 40% edited, Gears of Dragoon 2 was fully translated and edited with said VN was currently in testing, and Tokyo Necro was also already fully translated and edited with the release planned at this year (Which seems more plausible compared to Gore Screaming Show release plan, but the situation may change later). That's all for what I can write in regard of this week along with AX 2022, and sorry for being late here. See you next week. PS - For the title, since we have Raspberry Cube along with Nekopara 5 in which it'll feature the catgirl from Nekopara 4 Fraise, I simply changed 'Raspberry' into 'Strawberry' from Raspberry Cube so we have 'Strawberry Cube' as this week VNTS Review title. For the note, 'fraise' here is the French word (Which is quite fitting seeing that Fraise was initially in French at Nekopara 4) and in English it mean 'strawberry' which is fitting with the rest of the theme naming for the catgirl in Nekopara (All of the catgirl name are based on the ingredients that were related to the sweets).

Anime Expo (AX) 2022 Announcements
littleshogun replied to littleshogun's topic in Visual Novel Talk
From what I'd read, none of Sekai's announcement was announced at Denpasoft panel, although to be honest it could mean anything as in it's already open secret that Sekai will release their VN with 18+ contents intact. That said for Parfait obviously it mean that we may not have the sex scenes translated, seeing that this time GIGA has good reason to just release all age version of Parfait with said version has extra heroine (In this case it mean that it'll be like Yoake or Eien no Aselia) and the 'fans' may not find that it's worth to include the sex scenes into Parfait Remake later. As for whether we see the announcement will have the sex scenes I guess we better see it at Watasi-tachi no Marriage 1 later in that the plan is to release it at August later (For the info the VA using pseudonym which mean there's a chance that the developer will include the sex scenes). As for the announcements for AX 2022, I'll compile it in this post as well below. Sekai Project Raspberry Cube Hamidashi Creative Watashi-tachi Marriage 1 Parfait ~Chocolat Second Brew~ Inu Para Happy Saint Sheol Nie no Hakoniwa Neko Para After: La Vraie Famille Aksys Games Norn9 ~Norn + Nonette~ Last Era Shuuen no Virche -ErroR:salvation- Radiant Tale Spirit Hunter: Death Mark II Spike Chunsoft Anonymous Code JAST USA Shin'yaku In'youchuu Gore Screaming Show Naka no Hito nado Inai! Tokyo Hero Project Gears of Dragoon 2 ~Reimei no Fragments~ Tokyo Necro Mangagamer Lkyt. Rance 03 Leazas Kanraku Overall quite nice convention that we have after two years of pandemic with JAST and Sekai has some interesting title. Rance 03 is quite interesting title though, although it's pretty much inevitable and that it's the remake of the old Rance III. Once again I'll try to comment on those announcements and make the tier for it later. -
Tsurezure's New Project - Gin'iro Haruka
littleshogun replied to littleshogun's topic in Fan Translation Discussion
Finally we have progress on Yuzuki's route, and said progress is that one of ten sex scenes is already translated. Also turned out that Yuzuki's route has 37 script files, and Trip already translated 9 of it (Those 9 script files are her middle school arc) so the new progress for Yuzuki's route here would be 9 out of 37 script files were already translated. Lastly since the translator is not a big fan of Yuzuki to say it lightly, don't expect the same speed like when he's translate Mizuha's route (Obviously I'll still report the progress whenever it came out). -
So after two years not being held, finally we have Anime Expo returned and for the first panel Sekai here bring some interesting title such as Hamidashi Creative or Parfait (At least GIGA still willing to localize their VN I suppose). I'll list the announcements here later on. PS - Here's all of the announcements for AX 2022 below, and I'll try to sort it based on the order of the panel. Sekai Project Aksys Games Spike Chunsoft JAST USA Mangagamer That's all for the announcements for the first AX since the pandemic happened, and of course I'll write my comment on those later on.

What Video Games Are You Playing Right Now?
littleshogun replied to solidbatman's topic in Gaming Talk
After some time considering it, I finally managed to play Digimon Cyber Sleuth in which it's RPG that was the part of Story series from DS. I can see that Bandai did combine several elements in regard of raising Digimon from past Digimon World games, although I'm not sure of it yet. Oh the beginning remind me of Devil Survivor, which make sense to a degree seeing that both works shared same artist. PS - Recently I also play Digimon World Redigitize Decode seeing that it has more content, although in exchange I need to deal with Citra (3DS emulator) can't play the anime cutscene properly (I also want to play Next Order, although unfortunately Bandai didn't release Steam version of it). For the gameplay itself unlike Cyber Sleuth, Decode here is more in line with first Digimon World game in that your Digimon will have lifespan and you must train in order to increase your status (So no level grind here). Speaking of Digimon World, what I remember is that my brother (He's the one who play it the most) have the hard time to get Ultimate, in which turned out that you need a guide to understand on how the training should goes in order to get it. -
Anime of the Year 1979 - Alps no Shoujo Heidi (1979)
littleshogun commented on kivandopulus's blog entry in Anime of the Season
In regard of Anne, there's also the fact that Hayao Miyazaki also work on this for 15 episodes and that this is the last work that the late Takahata Isao do on World Materpiece Theater series. Other than Anne, obviously the most prominent thing in 1979 is the birth of first Gundam anime in that it spawned several sequels and spin off, and the first one characters has two iconic characters in form of Amuro Ray and Char Aznable in that the latter has many villain based on him so much that there's a trope called Char Clone. No much to say other than those two anime, so that's all for what I can comment in regard of 1979 anime. -
This week title is obviously the parody of Reflection Blue with I'd change 'Summer' into 'Snow' and 'Blue' into 'White' (Because snow here is obviously white), and the reason for the parody is simply because we have Snow full translation patch released with Snow here is resembled older KEY VNs, Kanon and Air, to a degree with even the producers themselves acknowledge that Snow's structure did resemble those two KEY VNs. Anyway welcome to this week VNTS Review and we have several nice releases in this week, especially the aforementioned Snow in which it's a historical VN although it's not as influential as Kanon. Other than Snow release, we still have some updates with the notable one are the release date announcements for some VNs. Overall this week is another interesting one, and let's see what I can write in regard of it. Mangagamer did release Patient S in which as we know it's premise is resembling Evenicle 2 premise (Although to be fair the premise is quite the norm when it come to write the story that involving hospital, disease, and sex), and no much to say other than have fun if you're like BL VN and already looking forward to the release since Mangagamer announce it. age did announce that they finally ready to release Total Eclipse, and they'll release it at July 20th later so you can note the date if you've been waiting for it. We also finally have the release date for Mahoyo, and Aniplex will release it at December 8th later (The info is from the Type Moon video that has two VAs discussing Mahoyo). Last but not the least, we have Kirikoi Golden Time exact release date in that it'll be at July 15th later, although it might be a placeholder date so let's see it later. From fan translation updates, we have Shin Koihime Musou was at 56% edited, Senmomo was at 60.92% translated with Chapter 4 was fully edited, ChiSingura was at 6.07% translated, and Imaimo was almost finished with the current progress was at 96.7% translated with Ayumu's route was at 87.7% translated. We also have Tsukihime Remake translation team finished the finalization process for Arcueid's route, and with that done they announce that they'll release the translation patch for Arcueid's route at July later. Speaking of translation patch, we also have one that translate the new chapter from Subahibi Full Voice, Knockin' on Heaven's Door, which may be nice to read if you still not satisfied with the original content. Spike Chunsoft released Somnium 2 back at 24th. As expected the MC will be Mizuki which as we know is the step daughter of Date is become the police, although in here we have another MC with said male MC is the police who will work together with Mizuki (The dual MC with different gender here may be because of Nakazawa Takumi who help Uchikoshi in the scenario, and if we remember there's a certain VN that has same setup and was worked on by Nakazawa (Remember11)). Obviously there's a reason on why two polices work together, and said reason is because there's a new serial killing case happening with the victim body was split into two along with some new mysterious plot that only known as Nirvana Interactive (The title drop). Of course Somnium 2 here will have science fiction plot, so you can play this if you're in the mood for detective VN with some science fiction plot. Almost forgot to mention that we have underrated GL VNs announcement, and said GL VN is 'Watashi-tachi Marriage 1' or in English it's Our Marriage 1 (The info in regard of the VN). What I know is that the premise was related to all girl school, the MC is obviously will be the female one, and that the company behind it was worked on Ne No Kami duology (I suppose they decided to go self publishing instead of keep working together with Sekai). Oh and in case it's not obvious enough with the number 1 after the title, this VN is most likely will be serial VN with more chapter in the future. The developer also already planned to have this released at August later, so let's see if they can do it later. As for Snow that has the full translation patch released, basically it's 2003 VN with the MC was come into his cousin hometown that covered in eternal snow thanks to some supernatural happening, and from there our MC will have relationship with one of the heroines. I did mention that this is historical VN, and it's because in Snow we have two staffs (The artist and the composer) who would working on Yuzusoft VNs in the future with Snow itself might be the basis for future Yuzusoft VNs. I say this because the developer here is basically the predecessor of Yuzusoft, and Snow premise here is resemble Senren Banka to a degree although admittedly Snow's premise is quite common. I did forget to mention that the writers of Snow themselves will write some interesting VNs as well, such as Da Capo trilogy and Flyable Hearts. Go get Snow if you interested with old VN that resemble older KEY VN, and have fun. That's all for what I can write in regard of this week, and see you next week. Edit (06/27) - Cherry Kiss announce that they'll release yet another nukige at July 22nd later with said nukige is related to villainess in otome VN stuff, and this time we have the male MC was reincarnated into the world of otome VN to have a lot of sex with the female MC of otome VN and the villainess. Oh yes while the localized title of the nukige is Aristocunts II, it's not the sequel of Aristocunts that was also released by Cherry Kiss (instead the title is the result of the translator's creativity).

Favorite BGM/soundtrack of a Visual Novel
littleshogun replied to Exult's topic in Visual Novel Talk
It's been a while, and here's Snow full opening song in order to celebrate the release of full translation patch of it (Also it's quite long at 7 minutes and 24 seconds). Enjoy. -
Erogamescape, well I only know that I stopped using the score from there after I know that Umineko Episode 8 score was at 58. Granted there's a lot of understandable reason on why it get that score, although it's quite jarring anyway if one compared it to VNDB score in which Chiru here is one of the most well received VNs in there (Chiru itself is the bundle of Umineko Episode 5 to 8). Umineko scoring aside, it seems that Erogamescape users are not quite interested to all age VN, although big all age KEY VN such as Summer Pockets still manage to gather almost 1,000 votes which is quite a number as of now (Although the votes in the past can reach up to 4,000 votes though). That said, it's still the good site to compare on how Japanese and overseas people reception in regard of the VN, in which some of those can be quite contrast such as the aforementioned Umuneko Episode 8 or the most recent case Loopers. PS - It's nice to know that we can also become Erogamescape members, although it seems that I'll just stick to VNDB here. Also nowadays it's easier to access Erogamescape which to say is quite nice considering that there's several hiccup in the past.

Whatever meant by decent plot and satisfying true end may differ between people. That said if you need some well received VN for your new backlog, then I can recommend some VNs that are not in your VNDB list such as Hentai Prison, Nukitashi duology, White Album 2, Robotic Notes, Sousaku no Kanojo, Maggot Bait (Beware of the disturbing sex scenes though), Tsui no Sora Remake, and Baldr Force. I don't know if you'll enjoy those VNs though, but regardless of that I hope my recommendations here will be helpful to you in case you still didn't play those VNs yet.

As for this title, it should be obvious that I parodied the last VNs from Saga Planet Season series Hatsuyuki Sakura (Also the most well received one) that was written by Niijima Yuu because Hatsuyuki Sakura here is represent winter (It should be obvious that snow here is meant winter, and for translation note yuki mean snow), and the reason for the parody is in regard of Flowers Winter release so I'd combine 'Hatsuyuki' and 'Flowers'. Speaking of Niijima, coincidentally we also have Summer Pockets Reflection Blue (Niijima here is also one of Summer Pockets writer) translation patch released with said version add several new routes, although ironically all of those new routes weren't written by Niijima. Other than those two big releases, we still have some updates with Mangagamer decided to do their batch of updates after some times not doing it. Overall I can say this week is an interesting one, and let's see what I can write in regard of it. Shiravune did release Icha x2 Study, and content wise there's not much happened other than the MC will have a lot of passionate love making that goes for a long time in which it seems to be Marmalade's VNs specialty (At least it has good graphic). While Icha x2 Steady here is indeed Marmalade's VN, it's not the big title like either Primal Hearts duology or Mashimaro but instead it's just the fandisc that cover one of Study Steady heroines Yuu in which it should be good enough for Yuu's fans and want more of it. Anyway go get Icha x2 Study if you want to see Yuu being very affectionate towards the nameless MC (Note that the MC's default name here is basically Marma Lade (ie the company name) so may as well treat the MC as nameless), and have fun. As for Mangagamer's update, the biggest one is that we finally have the updates for Rance X in which it's been at 46% translated along with 5% edited, and it should be noted that it's quite a big progress to have it at almost halfway translated because Rance X script size is quite massive from what I'd read. Other than Rance X update, we also have IX is closer to the testing (Hopefully we'll see it entering the testing in the near future), Hentai Public Service (The new Clock Up nukige with tacky uniform for the info) was fully translated and edited, Sona-Nyl Refrain contents was 87% integrated into the main script, and Raillore was fully edited. No much to say other than at least it's good to see that Mangagamer here got some progress on last two Rance games along with Sona-Nyl, so let's see what they'll have to announce at AX later. Speaking of AX, JAST was also planned to attend it as well so naturally there'll be a lot to expect when it come to announcements. That said, obviously our focus here is in regard of Flowers Winter in which JAST managed to release each part of Flowers tetralogy at two years. Release time aside, in Flowers Winter our MC here is going back to Suoh after the previous parts have another MCs (Erika and Yuzuriha). This time our Suoh here decided to resolve the cause of her heartbreak that has happened at the end of Flowers Spring with the help of several clues that she got, and obviously it won't be easy matter for her because there'll be several obstacle for Suoh to finally resolve her situation. Anyway one should note that Flowers here won't be like Kara no Shoujo when it come to the graphic contents, and of course the art is still quite nice looking. Go get Flowers Winter from JAST or Steam if you've been waiting to play the last part of the tetralogy. From fan translation, besides Alka successfully released Reflection Blue we have Chronos was at a quarter translated, Arcueid's route of Tsukihime Remake was fully edited and almost finished finalization process, ChuSingura was at 5.89% translated, Houkago Cinderella was at 46.54% translated, Senmomo was at 60.54% edited with Chapter 4 was past 90% mark (92.62%) edited, Ruitomo was at 19.32% translated along with 2.88% edited, and Imaimo was at 83.6% translated with Ayumu's route was at 38.9% translated. We also have Snow just finished final pass for all of the routes, and the team decided to release it at three days later (ie 24th) so let's see if we'll going to have it released at that date later. Last but not the least there's Reflection Blue in which it's the upgraded version of Summer Pockets. While some of you may think that it's redundant release with altered texts like back at Rewrite+, actually this time KEY add new routes with new heroines with with most of the new heroines are supporting characters from original Summer Pockets (KEY was also doing this back at Little Busters, although they didn't add the sex scenes in Reflection Blue). Some of the contents of the new routes will either add more development to the new heroines or some more info to the setting, so we can say that it's worth to get if one want more Summer Pocket. Visual Art themselves also has plan to localized this later, although obviously with Alka finally manage to release the translation patch first the Visual Art version of Reflection Blue will be redundant (If VA manage to release it later). Go get Reflection Blue if you want to play more Summer Pockets, and have fun. That's all for what I can write in regard of this week and sorry for being late here. See you next week.

Anime of the Year 1978 - Mirai Shounen Conan
littleshogun commented on kivandopulus's blog entry in Anime of the Season
I see two name that has been famous with good animation, namely Hayao Miyazaki and Madhouse. As you know, Conan here is the debut for Miyazaki who then together with the late Takahata Isao along with the staffs for Conan will establish Ghibli Studio. I'll admit that I only watch Conan for a very brief moment, and back then I didn't know if the director is the one who formed Ghibli Studio (I also didn't even know Ghibli Studio when I watch it at 2006 or 2007 through Animax). The second name that I see is Madhouse, in which it's the studio that famous with good animation while at the same time has been infamous with no second season of their anime (The biggest victim is No Game No Life). Also yes I just know that you've been listed it on 1973 and 1976, although I just noticed it now. No much to say other than two famous name in the animation, so that's all for my comment in regard of 1978 anime. -
Anime of the Year 1977 - Araiguma Rascal
littleshogun commented on kivandopulus's blog entry in Anime of the Season
My very first impression on 1977 would be that there's a lot of robot anime here. Anyway other than Araiguma Rascal here is 1977 World Masterpiece Theater series, I did remember that Yatterman was also aired in Indonesia with the opening was changed into Indonesian version that was sang by female singer instead of male singer (Both lyric are pretty much tell the same thing in different language). Also you're right that the protagonists duo are pretty much boring even though the opening song is shilling them for an obvious reason, although it's because the villain trio is more interesting. It's really telling when 2015 anime of Yatterman did focus on the villain team descendant rather than the main duo, even though the anime here is titled Yatterman (ie the duo) and not Doronjo (ie the villainess who lead the villain trio). No comment on pseudo time travelling here other than I remember one episode that was based on Joan of Arc and it's more because of the name change, and that's all for my comment in regard of 1977 anime. -
Police of Daybreak: A Day in the Life of the Actors Review
littleshogun posted a blog entry in Pretty Cure on Fuwanovel
Welcome to this week VNTS Review, and as for this week title since we have the sequel of Ryuusei World Actor released I'm obviously make the parody of the title. Obviously since Kinugasa wrote both of Akagoei 2/FD and Ryuusei, I did make parody of Akagoei again by changing 'Guardian' into 'Police' along with changing 'Ladies' into 'Actors' so we have 'Police of Daybreak: A Day in the Life of the Actors' as this week title. As for this week, after several weeks with many good announcements this week we have less number in regard of both updates and releases, although of course some updates can be quite interesting to a degree. Overall I can say that this week is slightly below average one, and let's see what I can write in regard of it. Cherry Kiss released the nukige about dog girl, and no much to say other than have fun if you already enjoyed said VN. As for Ryuusei 2, the contents is more in regard of the routes for two side characters from previous part, although apparently it's more like that the less focus was put on the heroines and our Kinugasa here is put more focus on the story in order to set up the next part, possibly the last part of the trilogy if we follow his pattern back when he wrote Akagoei. I also find out that Ryuusei 2 did continue from a certain chapter back at previous part, and if anything else at least Kinugasa for all of his fault on writing the ending can set up the trilogy properly compared to Grisaia in which the staffs only focused to make charage on the first part without providing the real prologue of Meikyuu (Frontwing's circumstance back then aside). Anyway go get Ryuusei 2 if you want to see more of Ryuusei World Actor, and have fun. Mangagamer will released Patient S (The BL VN with the same premise as Evenicle 2 for the reminder) at 23rd later, and you can note the date if you want to read more BL VN. Other than Mangagamer announcement for the exact release date of a BL VN, we have Sekai updated several of their projects. Those updates from Sekai are Animal Trails was at 90% in QA, both of Gakkou no Seiiki and Harvest Festa were fully translated, and Chiisana Kanojo no Serenade was finally started being worked on with the progress is at 15% translated. From fan translation section, Senmomo was at 58.94% edited with Chapter 4 was at 61.98% edited, Chronos was at 20% translated, Ruitomo was at 19.08% translated with common route was at 84.21% translated, Fuyu Kiss was at halfway translated (Yuki's route was fully translated) along with 5% edited, Reika/Kyouka route of Akagoei 2/FD was already fully translated and for the next route the translator will focused on Aya's route, and Imaimo was at 67.3% translated with Mao's route was at 67.2% translated. Lastly we have ChuSingura re-translation project and said project is obviously including adding the sex scenes, although seeing that ChuSingura itself has a ton of lines (At 82,770 lines) it'll be a while to see it fully translated. Anyway as for the current progress, 4,669 lines (Or 5.64% from the overall lines) of it has been translated. I'll keep my eyes on the project here. That's all for what I can write in regard of this week and sorry if it's quite short here. See you next week. -
Welcome to Fuwanovel and sorry for the belated greeting. No much to say here other than I hope that someday you can make the translation patch for your favorite VN or involved in a translation project, and I hope that you'll have fun in here.

Anime of the Year 1976 - Hana no Kakarichou
littleshogun commented on kivandopulus's blog entry in Anime of the Season
I see, then my bad for mistaken your statement earlier. Anyway as for the genre I suppose you can call it as travel genre here, in which it's still happen with Majo no Tabitabi from back at 2020. Although now that I remember it, perhaps we can say that Hutch here is also travel as well with him find himself helping several insects along with encounter some danger in order to reunite with his mother. -
Anime of the Year 1976 - Hana no Kakarichou
littleshogun commented on kivandopulus's blog entry in Anime of the Season
If by kids travel you mean World Masterpiece Theater anime series, then get used to it because there's still more of it at least until 1997 later. That said, Huckleberry here is not the part of World Masterpiece Theater though, but rather it's Haha no Tazunete Sanzenri in which it tell us a story about Marco who search for his own mother. By the way after I read the premise of said anime I just realize that Harukaze did make a homage of it (ie 1976 World Masterpiece Theater anime) in form of Marco and Galaxy Dragon with the same premise except with some difference, namely that Marco being the female MC and that instead of Italy Marco herself is an Earthling who've been kidnapped in her childhood and became the slave in another planet. Speaking of female MC, Candy Candy here is another anime that aired in Indonesia, although I didn't watch it because I'm still at four years old when it's aired. What I know is that it left some influence in regard of manga popularity in Indonesia as one of the manga that was localized in 1991, although if we look at it nowadays it might be look like a soap opera. Speaking of soap opera obviously there's a need for villainess character, and if we look at a number of female MC reincarnated as villainess I believe the author of these works are obviously take some inspiration from Candy Candy villainess character (Eliza Legan) rather than the villain from otome VNs that was said is the main setting of the world where the MC was reincarnated into. That's all for my comment in regard of 1976 anime. -
VN of the Month May 2022 - AMBITIOUS MISSION
littleshogun commented on kivandopulus's blog entry in Vndbreview
While you didn't mention Aokana EXTRA 2 because it's the fandisc, it's still worth a mention because it has very high production value and that it's one of well received VN in May 2022. That said though even with the hard work on the graphic, sprite somehow still not manage to add Music Gallery in the menu so if Nekonyan will (Probably) inevitably localized EXTRA 2 they obviously will port the VN into Unity engine again in order to add the Music Gallery. Anyway EXTRA 2 aside I'll comment some of the releases below. Lightkravte - Good to see that we finally have a release from Alice in Dissonance, although obviously nowadays people have been waiting for side below in that it's still not released yet even after their supposed estimation release at September 2022 (Although to be fair they not list the release estimation of it on Steam store page). While admittedly the company did suffer several unfortunate circumstances, seeing that their effort to have high production value only cause the delay I think it should be okay if the developer keep what they did in the past because even their first fault VN graphic is already good enough. In the end I guess at least the result of (Unnecessary) hardworking can be seen in the good graphic that Lightkravte had, along with some animation that some may think it's very necessary feature to have. Ambitious Mission - The latest Saga Planet release with same writer as Kirikoi, although looking from the three primary color scheme that resemble Tsujidou I think the writer here is more focused on writing it like Tsujidou so don't expect same level of drama as Kirikoi. Anyway the VN here has sexy phantom thief along with the ninja, and the story here did resemble phantom thief manga with female MC (ie Jeanne and Saint Tail) although the MC being phantom thief along with supernatural element make this closer to Jeanne. Seeing that Nekonyan managed to get two Saga Planet VNs, it's more than possible that Nekonyan will get Ambitious Mission although it's obviously too ambitious (Sorry for the pun) to see it translated as of now. That's all for what I can write in regard of May 2022 releases. -
Late to the party here. Anyway in case you still searching for the recommendation then I can recommend something like Utawarerumono and it's two sequels, Tears to Tiara, Eien no Aselia and it's sequel Seinarukana, and Yumina. There's also Soukoku no Arterial as well, although you may need to wait if you want good narration patch. I hope that my recommendations here will be helpful to you.
