11eyes - A Denwatls Translation
Infernoplex replied to denwatls's topic in Fan Translation Discussion
It's not strange xD Denwatl has been making their patch on the updated game so it has to logically work on it ... Though sometimes patches can work on different versions, in this case they don't -

You are missing the patch, your folder is missing "patch.xp3" file, you need to download this http://lasslass.sakura.ne.jp/support_patch/11eyes_update_patch101.zip -
11eyes - A Denwatls Translation
Infernoplex replied to denwatls's topic in Fan Translation Discussion
Okay, thanks, I am enjoying this VN pretty much so far, and I agree, the prologue doesn't even look like a fan-TL, it's so professional I might confuse it for being the original text if I didn't know that it was a translation -

What is CrossVision in the menu for? When I open it, I see like a square blocked structure, is that supposed to be Extras Menu for CGs and so on? The VN works definitively, I installed with no problems, and I grabbed the patch from the official Lass's site. I like the music in it so far, it looks like it's going to be an awesome read, thanks @denwatls -

I congratulate you once again denwa, you have outdone yourself with this one and I certainly didn't expect it Congratulations on breaking 'the curse' -
Thank you very much for that link, the post at the bottom really opened my eyes about some details I missed previously when I finished reading Swan Song ...

English version of ChuSinGura 46+1 released on Steam... for free?
Infernoplex replied to Decay's topic in Visual Novel Talk
Thanks for the clarification and you are right, with multiple translators there's always bound to be inconsistencies with the translation. Yeah, that's true. Well, I didn't expect much of a translation honestly, I thought that it was going to be even worse but this all in all seems to be edible (at least for me). But yeah, until I learn Japanese I'll have no other choice sadly. Thanks for clarification. -

English version of ChuSinGura 46+1 released on Steam... for free?

Was the translation decent enough in those chapters too? -
Windows is not a computer, it's an OS (short for Operating System) ... Mac is short for Macintosh and it's developed by Apple, this one is a computer, and it also has its own OS (for example OS X is an OS for Macintosh) ... Linux is an OS too ... There are many operating systems out there for different purposes and different classifications for each ... OS is not hardware, it's software, that's the major difference so OS ≠computer ... Windows is not universal computer, it's an OS, and it's used widely by general PC users so you might get an impression that it's universal but it's not, many people use different operating systems ... I, for example, also use Ubuntu (which is a distro of Linux) and Windows 7 ...

My condolences ...

Himawari to Koi no Kioku by MORE on Steam Greenlight
Infernoplex replied to Veshurik's topic in Visual Novel Talk
Ahaha, sorry then I just found myself there then by mistake That's true but sometimes I'd rather prefer no English release than a bad English release The fact that they want to expand is nice but I don't want them to screw up badly on their first entry into the new market -
Himawari to Koi no Kioku by MORE on Steam Greenlight
Infernoplex replied to Veshurik's topic in Visual Novel Talk
I said "if it will be done at all" (referring to an English TL) ... I know it's meant for JP audience but if they intend to do the English TL, it needs to be done by somebody who knows how to do it. Not by somebody that they intend to pay in peanuts. That's where my "cheap cash grabbing" comes from ... And I didn't know about the prices. -
11/11 Forums Update - Report Bugs/Feedback Here
Infernoplex replied to Tay's topic in Community Coordination and Feedback
I don't know if the problem's only on my end but whenever I want to visit Fuwa using my tablet PC, I discover that I can't quote somebody's post, the "Quote" tab that I usually see below somebody's post on PC is nowhere to be found when I look for it on tablet ... It's probably because of the resolution on tablet but I was thinking that maybe it can be fixed? ... I tried both Mozilla and Chrome on tablet and they both don't work with Fuwa as they should be. -
Himawari to Koi no Kioku by MORE on Steam Greenlight
Infernoplex replied to Veshurik's topic in Visual Novel Talk
While I agree with Dergonu that the art is stunning, I don't have much hopes for this, it's a Steam release of an 18+ visual novel and by the looks of it, I think this is a cheap cash grab, the TL (if it will be done at all) looks like it's done by a native Japanese speaker ... I already got two instant red flags for this so I am not really expecting anything out of this, better read it in Japanese if you can But I am kind of surprised they picked up a very long (30-50 hours) VN as a first VN for Steam ... -
Totally forgot about it, I think that was implemented in the later versions of Ren'py! I don't remember that happening earlier but that's something they implemented later on (I must admit it has been some time since I bothered with Ren'py VNs) No problem man, glad to be of help and I wish you luck on your fan-TL endeavour
-
I think you will need to install Ren'py for that ... If my memory serves me correct, the file that you got now is the .rpy script file, correct? You can edit those easily but to put it all back into the game, you need to convert it to .rpyc at the end because that's the one the game recognizes ... And only Ren'py itself can create you those files ... Try downloading Ren'py and see if there's any option there to compile the .rpy file to create .rpyc ... .rpyc files are actully just crypted .rpy (Ren'py does the crypting in order to obfuscate the scripts so people like you and me aren't able to touch them )
-
I think that you are looking at the wrong file ... I think the text that the game displays in-game is located inside the script.rpyc ... data files are too big to be script-related, the text that you want to edit is located at "script.rpyc" and this is a program that might help you deal with it ... I cannot test it because I don't have Python installed and I am pretty much lazy right now to bother with it.

I've heard good stuff about this VN, including that it was well recieved by the Japanese too. So it should be one of those kamige-tier VNs I guess? -
Dreams and goals you once persued.

No problem I don't expect a reply always, especially not a fast one when someone's busy (like I am sometimes xD) ... I see ... I understand I don't know about these engines that much, I've seen a thread on Fuwa explaining their differences but I am still pro-Unity ... I have seen VNs made in Ren'py and sadly, I don't like how the engine works ... Also, if I am not mistaken, Ren'py uses python as a programming language ... Unity seems to have more power so that's why I am focused on Unity And it's based on C# which frankly I am more familiar with ... I don't know anything about VN Maker program so I can't say much about it
